Jonathan Major’s Ex Surrenders To Police On Assault Charges

Grace Jabbari, the ex-girlfriend of actor Jonathan Majors, has surrendered to police in New York after her arrest was sought for an assault against Majors. Majors filed a cross-complaint against Jabbari in June amid an investigation into assault charges she filed against him in March. Jabbari is accused of hitting Majors’ hand and face, as well as damaging his coat. The confrontation reportedly occurred in the back of a New York cab.

Jabbari was charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief. However, the DA has reportedly told the NYPD that they will not prosecute Jabbari. Per TMZ, a spokesperson for the DA’s office said that they have “no intention of prosecuting Jabbari for the belated allegations made by defendant [Majors] regarding the incident on March 25, 2023.” In short, the DA is not interested in pursuing their key witness for charges their primary defendant raised three months after the incident in question.

Meanwhile, Majors finally has a trial date to face his own charges of misdemeanor assault. Judge Michael Gaffey denied a motion to drop the charges against the actor. Furthermore, he set a trial date of November 29. However, Majors’ defense team requested that any “contested evidence” remain sealed in order to maintain a level of neutrality in the court of public opinion. “The disclosure of sensitive information will limit Mr. Majors’ right to a fair trial,” his attorneys argued.

Majors is only facing criminal charges on his alleged actions against Jabbari. However, several other women came forward with similar allegations of violence against Majors. These women came forward in the months after the alleged March assault. Furthermore, a Rolling Stone investigation painted a picture of violence and manipulation that dated back as far as Majors’ time at Yale. The trial remains a developing story and we’ll have any updates as and when they emerge.

Jonathan Majors' U.S. Army Campaign Pulled From TV After Domestic Arrest

Jonathan Majors is headed to trial. The actor’s case was denied a dismissal by a New York Judge, who marked the trial date to start on Nov. 29.

According to Variety, Majors attending the hearing via Zoom and his legal team requested that “contested evidence” remain sealed away from public view. Majors’ attorney, Seth Zuckerman, believes “the disclosure of sensitive information will limit Mr. Majors’ right to a fair trial.” Opposition papers for the information from the media will be allowed until Nov. 6.

Earlier this week, reports emerged stating Jonathan Majors’ domestic violence accuser will be charged with assault concerning the incident that led to the actor’s arrest earlier this year.

According to Radar Online, the accuser, Grace Jabbari, was issued a summons to appear in New York court for the assault. Jabbari is “expected to voluntarily report to the NYPD’s 10th precinct in the near future” according to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information of the New York Police Department.

Previously, Jabbari stated Majors hit her with an “open hand” leading to a substantial injury behind her ear. Jabbari also claimed Majors caused swelling after he grabbed her hand and “put his hand on her neck, causing bruising and substantial pain.”

A charge for the alleged strangulation was dropped.

Jonathan Majors’ Assault Trial Date Revealed

During a court hearing today, Judge Michael Gaffey denied Jonathan Majors’ motion to have his domestic abuse charges dropped. This means that his case will now go to trial, which is scheduled to begin on November 29 of this year. Majors’ team also put in a new motion, requesting for the judge to keep “contested evidence” away from the public due to his celebrity status. “The disclosure of sensitive information will limit Mr. Majors’ right to a fair trial,” his team claims.

Majors was first arrested in March of this year, after an alleged dispute with his girlfriend at the time, Grace Jabbari. He was handed assault and aggravated harassment charges, and later pled not guilty to all four. The following month, several additional women came forward with their own allegations against the actor. Reportedly, they worked alongside the DA to build a case against Majors.

The DA responded to his motion to dismiss with a lengthy document, unveiling new details about the night of the alleged incident. According to the 115-page filing, the duo were in the back of a cab on their way home from a party when Jabbari spotted a flirtatious text on her then-partner’s phone. She then grabbed his phone, which resulted in a struggle. As he tried to pry the device away from Jabbari, she says she sustained various injuries, including “bruising, swelling, and substantial pain.”

He then allegedly struck her in her right ear. The filing claims that once the cab came to a stop, both of them got out of the vehicle. Prosecutors claim, however, that he “grabbed her, picked her up, and threw her back inside.” Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Jonathan Majors.

Jonathan Majors Assault Investigation Moves Forward As Troubling New Details Emerge

Jonathan Majors’ career rose to newfound heights in 2023. Unfortunately for the Creed III star, it also reached new lows, which he’s still seeking to recover from. Shortly after the premiere of his two major film projects this year, the California native was arrested on assault charges. There’s been much confusion regarding what went down between him and then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in the back of a New York taxi cab, but a newly released 115-page filing gives insight into the troubling domestic dispute.

As Uproxx reports, Majors’ arrest was on March 25. That same day, he and Jabbari were on their way from a party in Brooklyn to their home in Chelsea when a text on the 34-year-old’s phone caught his partner’s eye. It allegedly read, “Wish I was kissing you right now,” garnering an obviously upset reaction. When Jabbari grabbed her man’s phone, he responded by “grabbing the right side of Ms. Jabbari’s body and prying Ms. Jabbari’s right middle finger off the phone, causing bruising, swelling, and substantial pain.” Afterward, Jonathan was allegedly “grabbing Ms. Jabbari’s arm and right hand and proceeding to twist Ms. Jabbari’s forearm, causing substantial pain to her finger and arm.”

Finally, the filing says that the Ant-Man 3 star struck his partner’s right ear, causing not only substantial pain for her, but also a laceration. When the cab stopped, prosecutors allege that Majors “grabbed [Jabari], picked her up, and threw her back inside.” This only furthered the woman’s injuries, adding a fractured finger, bruising about her body, and a bump on her head to the list.

It’s no secret that Jonathan Majors found himself suddenly falling from fame after he was arrested on assault charges earlier this year. Many of his famous friends and co-stars have distanced themselves from the embattled star as he awaits his fate, but thankfully, his new lover Meagan Good has been sticking faithfully by his side. Jonathan Majors Accuser Charged With Assault In Connection To Their Incident

Jonathan Majors has had a turbulent 2023. The 34-year-old actor was arrested on suspicion of assault back in March, which surprised many fans. While Majors has always maintained the fact that he was an innocent victim that didn’t keep any public eyes off the ongoing trial. The beginning of the court saga has been delayed repeatedly back to August, September, and now October. Proceedings are expected to get underway later this week on October 25.

Right as Majors is expected back in court though, there’s been another twist in the investigation. Grace Jabbari, the woman who accused Majors of assault in the first place, was recently summoned to appear in court for an assault charge of her own. “From the beginning, we have said Jonathan Majors is innocent and provably the victim here,” a statement made by Majors’ attorney began. “Mr. Majors met with the NYPD to present them with evidence of what really happened on that night.” Check out all the details of the newest revelations in the case below.

Jonathan Majors Accuser Charged With Assault

While Jonathan Majors was hoping that a motion to dismiss his case would be granted, it appeared to be moving forward anyway. At least that seemed to be the case until this newest development. It’s unclear whether Jabbari being charged will help Majors get his case thrown out. But it does seem to add credibility to the story he’s stuck to since his arrest.

Almost every single time Majors went to court, Meagan Good has been there with him. Her unequivocal support has been controversial but that hasn’t slowed them down. Just last month Majors hinted that the pair may be on the path to getting married. That seemed even more likely just a few days later when fans spotted that Good appeared to have Majors as her lock screen. What do you think of the newest twist in Jonathan Majors ongoing trial? Over the weekend, Majors sparked rumors of a marriage between the two when he labeled Good his “missus” at the Congressional Black Caucus’ eighth annual Black and White Gala in Washington D.C. Good, who co-hosted the event, had been speaking on stage: “We’re just so happy to be here with y’all tonight, celebrating us, celebrating the moves we’re making, celebrating the way we love and support each other, the way that we shift the world. Let’s enjoy ourselves! So many beautiful Black faces. I love us, y’all! We are so beautiful! That’s all I got. I’m just happy to be here and I love y’all!” From there, she turned to Majors and asked, “Babe, you want to say anything?” Speaking into the mic, Majors said, “Y’all heard the missus, so that’s what it is.”

Jonathan Majors’ Lawyer Insists Viral Fight Video Isn’t Fake

Earlier this week, a clip of Jonathan Majors appearing to break up a fight between two teenage girls surfaced. The duo were throwing punches outside of an In-N-Out when he decided to step in. In the video, Majors is seen running up to the two girls, standing between them, and telling them to stop fighting. Though at first glance it looks like Majors was merely doing a good deed, social media users have other ideas.

Upon the release of the video, speculation immediately started surrounding the situation. Many thought the incident was staged, and released as an attempt to make Majors look better amid his legal battle. The actor is currently facing allegations that he physically abused his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, recently spoke to TMZ about the debacle, claiming that the video is completely real.

Majors’ Attorney Responds To Allegations Fight Was Staged

Chaudhry also adds that the idea the fight could have been staged is “absurd.” She went on to claim that one of the students involved in the fight has since come forward, confirming that it was real. She appears to have been referring to a Twitter post, which features another clip of the fight from a different angle. The poster claims that they go to school with the girls seen in the video, and says that it was totally legit. “The Jonathan Majors fight was 100% real,” the unknown Twitter user writes. “I go to the school the fight was at, I know one of the girls who fought. It was over stupid high school stuff. Here’s another angle for everyone who’s saying there was no one there. No idea how TMZ got it first.”

After the fight, TMZ caught up with Majors, who claimed he just wanted to make sure nobody got hurt. What do you think of the viral fight video? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Jonathan Majors.

Jonathan Majors’ Next Court Date Revealed, Motion To Dismiss Still In Limbo

Jonathan Majors went through quite the rollercoaster recently when it comes to his domestic violence case. Moreover, the court delayed the next crucial hearing in the misdemeanor assault trial to October 25 in New York, according to Deadline. This update came amid his and his legal team’s motion to dismiss the trial and their efforts to put the ordeal behind them. However, the District Attorney’s office still hasn’t responded to this plea as of writing this article, and have until October 6 to do so. Then, the defense must respond by October 13 to further determine the state that this case will progress in.

Furthermore, the case will either move forward in formal court or dismissed to the whims of the court of public opinion. In that case, though, it seems like Jonathan Majors actually might start flipping the narrative around thanks to two arguing teenage women at an In-N-Out. A video recently surfaced of the actor breaking up a fight between the two, which received skeptical claims of it being a publicity stunt. Whethe fabricated or not, it certainly helped Majors get somewhat positive attention in the media.

Jonathan Majors To Return To Court On October 25

Discussion around this case is murky, with allegations and accusations thrown at both sides by each other- and everyone else. Still, apart from regular folks, Jonathan Majors nabbed defenses from his friends in Hollywood for better or worse, including Marvel co-star Anthony Mackie. “We’re a country that was built on ‘everyone is innocent until proven guilty,’” he remarked to Inverse back in June. “That’s one of the staples of this country. Nothing has been proven about this dude. Nothing. So everyone is innocent until proven guilty. That’s all I can say. It’s cr*zy where we are as a society. But as a country, everyone is innocent until proven guilty.”

Meanwhile, many believe that this public celebrity timeline takes the focus away from the actual severity of the case. For as many people that came forward to stick up for the 34-year-old, there were many from his past that denounced him. Either way, it’s not up to anyone to evaluate or examine but the court now, and their decisions leading up to and after October 25 will determine its course.
