Damar Hamlin’s New Tattoo Commemorates Cardiac Arrest Survival

Damar Hamlin has received a new tattoo as the one-year anniversary of his shocking cardiac arrest passed on January 2. The new piece, located on the back of Hamlin’s neck, shows a pair of hands forming a heart shape around a heartbeat. The piece was done by tattoo artist Alexander Brenes and went viral on Instagram after Hamlin posted it.

Hamlin, who recovered in time for the 2023 season, has played sparingly for the Bills throughout the season. Appearing in just five games, Hamlin has recorded two tackles this season for the team. The Bills are currently 10-6 and will likely make the playoffs even if they lose to the Dolphins in Week 18. However, beating the Dolphins could see the Bills win the division on the final day thanks to a head-to-head tiebreaker. Hamlin is currently listed as a questionable for the game against Miami.

Zion Williamson Clowned For New Tattoo

However, Damar Hamlin isn’t the only athlete getting some new ink. Zion Williamson recently showed off a prominent new tattoo on his chest of a large cross with a snarling lion peeking through it. However, the design was thoroughly clowned online as it is slightly off-center. The meaning behind the tattoo is unclear but Williamson appeared pretty happy with the design. What do you think of the tattoo? Let us know in the comments.

However, several other commenters remarked that Williamson should be focusing on his fitness and not new ink. This comes after Williamson’s alleged ex, porn star Moriah Mills, told Williamson to “get on the treadmill” and cut things like soda from his diet. Furthermore, the final three years of Williamson’s contract recently became non-guaranteed due to the significant amount of time he has missed due to injury in recent seasons. While Williamson can earn back guaranteed protection, the Grizzlies are currently able to cut him after the 2024/25 season without financial penalty. The contract change came into effect as Williamson missed more than 22 games last season.

“The Color Purple” LGBTQ+ Themes Continue To Upset Boosie Badazz

Boosie Badazz is a man with many opinions, and he’s certainly not shy about sharing them. If you follow the 41-year-old on social media, you may have heard his controversial thoughts on The Color Purple – an Oprah Winfrey-produced product featuring acting performances from Halle Bailey, H.E.R., and Ciara, just to name a few. Though Boosie was impressed by some of what he saw on-screen, the “Mind of a Maniac” hitmaker is once again putting his foot down about the “narrative” being pushed on the public by the LGBTQ+ community.

“I HAD TO WALK OUT THIS ‘COLOR PURPLE‘ MOVIE (N TWO OTHER OLDER COUPLES WALKED OUT ALSO),’ he wrote on Twitter earlier this week. “BECAUSE I HAD MY LITTLE GIRLS WITH ME [AND] IT SEEMED LIKE A 🌈 LOVE STORY‼” Boosie added before confirming he wouldn’t let his daughter watch the new movie as a result. As backlash to his post comes pouring in, the multi-talent is now ranting about his right to his opinion.

Will Kids See Ghosts Ever Make Another Album?

Kids See Ghosts is a collaborative effort between Kanye West and Kid Cudi. The duo’s work culminated in a self-titled 7-track album released in 2018. The album was released as part of Kanye’s “Wyoming Sessions” era, which saw the prolific producer serving up 5 albums in the span of 5 weeks, in collaboration with many of his closest musical peers. The Kids See Ghosts record has been widely hailed as one of the greatest outings of the bunch, touting an 84 out of 100 score on Metacritic, and earning the coveted 10/10 from popular music critic Anthony Fantano. Despite receiving massive critical praise for the project, there have been no concrete rumors of a follow-up. The tumultuous relationship between the rappers has led many fans to wonder if the duo will ever produce another album.

Kids See Ghosts 2 Was Previously Rumored In 2019

Rumors of a second Kids See Ghosts album began circulating as early as 2019, with both Kanye and Cudi claiming they were prepared to work on new music together. Unfortunately, the first album arrived with unfulfilled promises, leaving fans unable to trust the duo on their word. For starters, the original album was set to be delivered with a cartoon series which never materialized. Furthermore, Kanye’s long-awaited follow-up project to the Wyoming sessions, Yandhi, never officially saw the light of day. Kanye also announced a host of projects that never came to fruition, including a second Watch The Throne album. After moving on to his Donda album cycle in 2021, most fans seemed to agree that these projects had all been abandoned.

Kid Cudi And Kanye Feud Over Pete Davidson

In 2022, the duo eliminated any possibility of a second Kids See Ghosts album after Kanye started lashing out at everybody involved with SNL’s Pete Davidson. At the time, Davidson had begun romantically seeing Kim Kardashian, resulting in the rapper having a public meltdown. Kanye’s tirade against Pete extended into diss records, music videos depicting the comedian being violently killed, and cutting ties with anyone who regarded Pete as a friend. Kid Cudi refused to disavow Pete Davidson over Kanye’s qualms, resulting in a public falling out.

The pair previously held disagreements in their artistic partnership, but this spat seemed like the end for the duo creatively. During their beef, Cudi referred to Kanye as a Dinosaur, claimed that his contributions to Ye’s albums were the highlight of his creative vision, and stated it would take a full-blown miracle to forgive the “Off the Grid” rapper. For years, it seemed as though there would be no hope for a Kids See Ghosts reunion.

The Pair Made Up In December 2023

Despite high tensions between Kid Cudi and Kanye West, the pair finally reunited in December 2023. This is particularly interesting because Kanye is largely considered even more radioactive by association now than before. After falling out with Cudi, Kanye sank even further, delivering a slew of antisemitic rants, social media posts, and interviews. Luckily, days after linking back up with Kid Cudi, Kanye released a long-overdue apology to the Jewish community.

For the time being, Kanye West seems more focused on his latest musical duo, ¥$ alongside Ty Dolla $ign. The pair’s debut album, Vultures, is expected to drop sometime soon. There are rumors of a Kid Cudi feature on at least one of the tracks. The three previously collaborated on the Kids See Ghosts track “Freeee (Ghost Town Pt. 2)” which is widely regarded as a fan favorite.

While nothing points toward a second Kids See Ghosts album arriving soon, the door seems to be open, once again, for the collaborative rap duo. With any luck, we may see the pair working together again soon, as long as Kanye West can refrain from having another major meltdown in the coming months.

Panthers Owner Fined After Throwing Drink At Jags Fan

The NFL has fined Panthers owner David Tepper $300K after he was spotted throwing a drink at Jags fans from his open-air suite. The moment came as the Panthers were shut out 26-0 by the hometown Jags. The team was playing without Trevor Lawrence for the first time since they drafted him. “I should have let NFL stadium security handle any issues that arose. I respect the NFL’s code of conduct and accept the League’s discipline for my behavior,” Tepper said in a statement. The video was originally uploaded to social media by a Jags fan in a nearby suite. However, as the league’s second-richest owner, the fine is 0.000001% of his net worth.

The loss ended the Panthers’ 342-game streak without a shutout. Furthermore, it is one of the lowest points in an overall terrible season. Despite grabbing Bryce Young first overall in the 2023 Draft, the team started 0-5 and currently sit at 2-14. Tepper fired head coach Frank Reich earlier in the season, the third head coach Tepper has dismissed since buying the team in 2018. Of course, chants of “sell the team” could be heard intermittently throughout the game. On the field, the Panthers generated less than 200 yards of total offense.

Panthers Secure First Overall Pick…For The Bears

Furthermore, the shutout loss means that the Panthers secured the first-overall pick in the 2024 Draft. However, thanks to the trade that landed them Young, the Bears will pick at No. 1 instead when April rolls around. If the Bears opt to stick with Justin Fields, the NFL could see Chicago trade the No. 1 pick for the second year in a row. Furthermore, the 7-9 Bears are expected to have a top-10 selection with their own natural 2024 pick.

As with the 2023 Draft, quarterbacks are expected to head the first few picks. Caleb Williams (USC), Drake Maye (North Carolina), and Heisman winner Jayden Daniels (LSU) are all expected to be off the board in the first three picks. Furthermore, J.J. McCarthy (Michigan) and Michael Penix Jr (Washington) could sneak into the first round. Given the latest draft projections, this will likely see Chicago, Washington, and New England debut rookie starters in 2024.

Offset’s Fight With 42 Dugg Led To Lil Baby Beef, Wack 100 Claims

Wack 100 says that Offset’s feud with Lil Baby can be traced back to a heated dice game with 42 Dugg. Wack recalled the incident on his 100 ENT show, revealing that the two came to blows before he intervened. He explained that the two were putting up thousands of dollars on each roll.

“I was there, I watched it. Got in the middle of it, stopped it,” he said. “It would have blazed that night. Over dice. If it wasn’t for Wack, that n***a would have been in the morgue that night. I told Dugg, ‘You all the way wrong.’” At one point, Dugg wanted to leave but the Migos rapper remarked: “As long as it’s my dice, you got to shoot,” according to Wack. “But Dugg walked out of the studio, leading to a confrontation between the two. [Offset] did it like a gangsta, went in Dugg’s pockets, took his money and fired on Dugg. One-on-one. Woomp, bow! ‘You got me f*cked up.’”

Offset, go back in the studio.’ Offset had his little goons with him, they wasn’t budging. I said, ‘Offset, you know there’s gon’ be hell to pay come the morning.’ We were at QC studios.” He added: “This was like right before Dugg sparked; he wouldn’t have been around for his spark. Lil Dicky Shoots His Shot With Rachel McAdams On “Mr. McAdams”

It was during late June of 2023 that Lil Dicky provided his fans with a massive update on his music career. Of course, the Pennsylvania native has been very busy with his hit television show on FX, Dave. It basically describes his life and how he wants to become one of the most successful rappers of all time. Because of the music industry elements, there are going to be some songs woven into the show.

However, Lil Dicky feels that the material is good enough to release as a full project’s worth. “It’s a really strong body of work that I’m super proud of. I was surprised when I took a step back and looked at the inventory of stuff that [has] made it into the show — ‘Oh, my God, there’s like a great album here of work that can live on its own.’” That is slowly becoming a reality because the soundtrack for Dave is on its way. It is going to be called Penith (The DAVE Soundtrack) and will be out on January 19.

N.W.A. Members: Where Are They Now?

N.W.A. first hit the music scene in 1987, before cementing themselves as a landmark hip hop group. Together, the six young Compton natives who composed the group redefined an era and popularized the gangsta rap sub-genre. N.W.A.’s greatest hits such as “F*** Tha Police,” “Straight Outta Compton,” and “Dopeman” all serve as political statements. The group’s music enlightened middle America to the plight of black Americans in inner cities across the country. Though several of the surviving members have reunited since the group parted ways, N.W.A. is largely considered to have ended as a group with the 1995 passing of Eazy-E, leaving many fans to wonder what the remaining members have been doing in the decades since.

Eazy-E

Eric Wright, best known by his stage name Eazy-E, was a founding member of N.W.A. alongside Dr. Dre. Under the tutelage of record producer Jerry Heller, Eazy started the record label Ruthless Records. Unfortunately, Eazy-E found himself at the center of a bitter rivalry with his fellow N.W.A. members in 1991. The beef began over payment and contract rights, with several key members claiming the record label had taken advantage of them. After several years of throwing shots back and forth at each other on wax, the members of N.W.A. buried the hatchet after learning of Eazy-E’s AIDS diagnosis in 1995. Eazy tragically passed away at the age of 30 from complications relating to his illness on March 26th, 1995.

Dr. Dre

Perhaps the most prolific N.W.A. member of them all, Dr. Dre has established himself in the modern era as one of rap’s few billionaires. The mogul went on to start Aftermath Entertainment, signing and producing such mega stars as Eminem and 50 Cent. Dr. Dre has also served as something of a musical mentor to rappers such as Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, The Game, and many others. In 2006 Dre collaborated with his partner Jimmy Iovine to bring Beats headphones to market. The Beats brand expanded into a line of high-quality speakers and headsets, before selling the technology to Apple. The 2014 sale went through for $3.4 billion.

In addition to his extracurricular ventures, Dr. Dre headlined the Super Bowl LVI halftime show in 2022. In 2023, Dr. Dre was presented with the inaugural Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the 65th Annual Grammys. The award was created to celebrate excellence and longevity in rap while recognizing the 50th anniversary of the genre. Dr. Dre served as a producer on the 2015 N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton alongside Ice Cube.

Ice Cube

Ice Cube has become a household name in the decades following the demise of N.W.A., with a prolific screen acting career that rivals the success of his extensive solo music catalog. Since leaving N.W.A. to go solo in 1989, Ice Cube has released 10 solo albums, 3 collaborative efforts, and racked up countless appearances on film and television soundtracks. Ice Cube has also gone on to establish an incredible career in film and television.

Cube has amassed nearly 100 credits on IMDb, including half a dozen projects in various stages of active production. Alongside Dr. Dre, Ice Cube produced the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton, which follows the group’s rise and fall. The film even featured Cube’s eldest son, O’Shea Jackson Jr. as a young version of himself. O’Shea Jr. has gone on to lead several feature films since, with Straight Outta Compton serving as his first feature appearance. Ice Cube has also embarked into the world of sports as the CEO and co-founder of the Big3 basketball league.

DJ Yella

Though he is often forgotten due to his lack of vocal performance in most N.W.A. tracks, DJ Yella served as a vital element of the group’s success. Like Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, Yella consulted on the set of Straight Outta Compton. Yella provided invaluable insight into the formation and history of the group for the film. When N.W.A. split up, DJ Yella served as one of the few members who didn’t get involved with the beef. Yella remained signed to Ruthless Records, producing music for Eazy-E and other label artists.

After releasing a solo album in 1996, Yella retired from music to pursue a career directing and producing adult films. According to interviews with the former N.W.A. DJ, he has helmed over 300 films of this nature. DJ Yella returned to his position behind the boards in 2011 when he began to work on an album titled West Coastin. Then he appeared on stage in 2016 during an N.W.A. reunion at Coachella and appeared in an interview for the 2017 docu-series The Defiant Ones.

Arabian Prince

Though Arabian Prince serves as one of N.W.A.’s founding members, the rapper is often left out of the group’s stories due to his early departure from the collective. Prince left N.W.A. shortly after Straight Outta Compton debuted in 1988, citing issues with the label’s payment and billing practices. Due to Arabian Prince’s previous experience in the music industry, the rapper was acutely aware of proper billing procedures, which he claims did not take place at Ruthless Records. This sentiment would later be echoed when Ice Cube departed the collective in 1989.

Despite being pictured front and center on the Straight Outta Compton album cover, Arabian Prince was not depicted or mentioned at any point in the 2015 biopic of the same name. Likewise, the rapper was left out of N.W.A.’s 2016 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In recent years, Prince has found success launching a video effects company, touring as a solo DJ, and even adapting a comic book titled Death For Hire: The Origin of Tehk City into an upcoming television project alongside Ice-T.

MC Ren

The final N.W.A. member on this list, MC Ren, has continued to record and release music to this day. Like DJ Yella, MC Ren remained signed to Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records after the other members had departed from the group. While occasionally popping up on Eazy-E releases for the following few years, Ren got working on his solo catalog. As a solo artist, MC Ren has released four solo albums and two EPs.

MC Ren’s latest musical effort is the EP Osiris, released in June 2022. The record spans 8 tracks, and contains features from fellow West Coast legends including Kurupt, Kokane, and Cold 187um. MC Ren joined his fellow N.W.A. members on stage at Coachella in 2016.

Jazz Ask Rabbis To Remove Pro-Jewish Signs Aimed At Kyrie Irving

A group of Utah Jazz-supporting rabbis has claimed they were asked to put away signs reading “I’m a Jew and I’m proud” during a game against the Mavericks. Furthermore, they claim that the request was due to complaints from Kyrie Irving. Rabbi Avremi Zippel and three of his colleagues sat at the Delta Center with their signs with the intent of attracting Irving’s attention due to his anti-Semitic comments in 2022. According to Zippel, Irving acknowledged the signs in the first quarter. The Mavs veteran reportedly told Zippel and his friends, “Nice, I’m a Jew, too. Don’t gotta bring something like that to the game.”

Soon after the interaction, Zippel claims security approached his group and told them to remove the signs. The official cited a rule about holding signs in courtside seats. However, Zippel also claims that another staffer later informed him that the removal was due to Irving filing a complaint with security. While Zippel said he had previously checked the rules about signs, the team issued a statement after the game. “No matter where someone is in the arena, if a sign becomes distracting or sparks an interaction with a player, we will ask them to remove it. During an out-of-bounds play in the first quarter of yesterday’s Jazz game against the Dallas Mavericks, there was a group sitting courtside whose signs sparked an interaction with a player that created a distraction and interfered with play of game,” the Jazz said.

Kyrie Irving Says Return To Mavericks Was An “Easy Choice”

Kyrie Irving returned to the Mavericks after a brief explosion of free agency drama. Irving said he was “happy to come back” to Dallas after signing a three-year, $126 million deal within the first hour of free agency. “It wasn’t too difficult of a process. Had Dallas as number one on my list. Obviously, I looked elsewhere — salary cap opportunities, where I could fit in with other guys around the league. But there just wasn’t much space. And me being 31 now, I had to have a different vantage point. And I felt like I could not just settle here but be happy to come back here and be welcomed back with a warm embrace.”

He continued. “So I took everything into account. I took my time a few days before free agency just to be with my family, gauge how they felt about being in Dallas alongside me. And everybody was excited. I mean, even when I got traded here, midseason, a lot of my family was excited. They were just looking forward to me having a peace of mind just on the court and off the court. I had already dealt with enough past season or the past two seasons. So they knew that I just wanted a lot of that off my back and off my shoulders of feeling like I had to be Superman or I had to be perfect. So I think this is the best place to do it and continue to mature and grow as a man.”

Uncle Murda Goes In On Diddy For Part 2 Of His 2023 “Rap Up”

GC3Jn9VXQAAi4qf

Brooklyn crime rhyme king Uncle Murda has been offering up his year end “Rap Up” for a decade and now, the G-Unit soldier decided to ride with his boss 50 Cent and his verbal assault on Diddy and included his less than popular antics in the 2023 Rap Up.

The Hip Hop community and beyond have been shocked at the continuous revelations being exposed in Diddy’s ongoing sexual assault allegations, which have increased over the past few months. Even after the settlement with former girlfriend Cassie, the allegations continued to pour in from other women. Because of the amount of issues in and outside of Hip Hop that made Murda’s Wrap Up, he decided to create a firt time ever “Part 2” to the Rap Up, created exclusively for the Bad Boy honcho himself.

The East New Yorker jumps into the Diddy vs. Cassie case, saying, “He was controlling her, had her on some scared s***/Paying other n***as to f*** her while he watch that’s some weird s***/I’m like, did he do it? Did he drug her? Did he r**e her?/If you ain’t do the s***, Diddy why did you pay her?
