Kodak Black Links Up With G Herbo & NoCap For Studio Session

Whenever there’s footage of rappers in the studio, you know it usually spells out good news for fans wanting new music. Moreover, Kodak Black was recently filmed in the studio, cooking it up with G Herbo and NoCap. Not only that, but they previewed what sounds like an upcoming collaboration, and though they didn’t announce anything, it still got fans excited. That being said, it’s also likely that it could be a solo Kodak song that he just played for the other two MCs. Either way, they seemed to be having a good time together, and fans expect them to have dropped some verses in that time, as well.

Kodak Black in particular has to have a lot on his mind these days, what with his recent renegotiation of his release terms. Furthermore, he recently responded to a fan on Instagram Live who said he should go back to jail to work on his addiction. “Damn, what kind of person are you?” the Florida rapper asked. “This motherf***er say, ‘You need to go back to jail and sober up, Yak. For real, for real, man. How and why do you feel like that’s the answer to my… whatever you feel like? I was like ‘S**t… when motherf***ers know you chosen and s**t, that’s when they torment you.”

Regardless, hopefully Kodak Black was still able to enjoy his studio time despite those emotions weighing on him. What’s more is that G Herbo’s dropped a lot in 2023, so all rappers involved have some hype behind them. For example, he recently appeared alongside Drakeo The Ruler, Tory Lanez, and more on Toronto rapper Top5’s Pedro Activated album. Maybe this prolific streak will continue throughout the year.

Meanwhile, NoCap’s last release came back in 2022, so there’s actually a bit more anticipation there. With this teased collaboration, maybe the trio is looking to score a summer hit. Whatever the case, it’s always a treat to see MCs behind the scenes as they work on their craft. For more news and updates on Kodak Black, G Herbo, and NoCap, check back in with HNHH.

Ari Fletcher Seems To Post Taina Williams’ Phone Number After G Herbo Split

Ari Fletcher and G Herbo may have split up some time ago, but in the years since they former high-profile relationships of their own. Fletcher is with Memphis star Moneybagg Yo, whereas the Chicago MC is with Taina Williams- or was, at least. News of their breakup, which came via him posting “I’m single” on his Instagram Story, surprised many. However, what was most surprising was Ari apparently leaking Williams’ phone number recently, which came about a week after the two allegedly broke up according to Herbo. As such, many fans reacted with shock and confusion, wondering why the influencer and businesswoman is apparently acting so messy.

For those missing context, Ari Fletcher and G Herbo broke up after incidents of him cheating on her. “I was young, I ain’t know no better, man,” he told Yung Miami on her Caresha Please podcast. “I was just doin’ s**t. Like, just cheating. I was super stressed, but that ain’t no excuse. I ain’t make no excuse, I had to make peace with myself early on, because I thought I was right back then.”

Ari Fletcher’s Apparent Leak Of G Herbo’s Ex’s Phone Number, Fans React

Still, interestingly enough, it seems like Moneybagg Yo admitted to similar behavior recently. “Of course, you know, I made some mistakes,” he remarked on the IRL podcast with Angie Martinez. “You already know what I’m getting at with that. She ain’t take that well. It’s different when you have the person call them and try to tell them everything. ‘He did this. He was doing this. Did you know he do this?’ That made it even worse on her. But I kept it G, though. ‘Yeah, I did that. I’m sorry. I made mistakes. That was then.’ I come from a pure place when I say that. I wanna work through it and get through it and she with it. She helping me work through it. That’s why I rock with her so tough.”

Overall, it’s unclear what could’ve prompted this or whether it’s more of a shot at Williams or G Herbo himself. After all, the two seem to do a great job of co-parenting. As such, maybe this is her odd way of sticking by her former partner, but your guess is as good as ours as of now. For the latest news and updates on Ari Fletcher and G Herbo, keep checking in with HNHH.

Rob49 Praises Gillie Da King, Trashes G Herbo & Fredo Bang’s Basketball Skills

The sounds of New Orleans have permeated speakers across the world for decades. However, the rapper that’s carrying the torch for the city right now is Rob49. The NOLA-born rapper has been a frontrunner for the city over the past year but it was the release of 2022’s Vulture Island that built the anticipation for his trajectory. Co-signs from Birdman and features from Kevin Gates and Lil Baby helped put a spotlight on the budding star. With the release of 4GODII, he came to make a mark on the rap game and put on for his city.

As he comes off of the album’s release, he’s now gearing up for his upcoming Vulture Island weekend in New Orleans. The two-day festival begins today (Friday, June 16) and includes a concert and a celebrity basketball game. “I just wanted to give my fans a chance to see me, you know what I mean? They ain’t seen me perform in a while. So I just wanted to give them the chance to see me, you know, have a good time. I ain’t trying to break their pockets or nothing like that. I’m charging the least I can for tickets. I just want them to come f*ck with me,” he told HotNewHipHop.

Rob49 On G Herbo & Fredo Bang Basketball Skills

Although there are a small fraction of rappers who have the potential to go pro, basketball remains one of hip-hop’s greatest past time. In recent years, NBA All-Star celebrity games have included artists like Quavo showing out on the court. For Rob49’s Vulture Island Weekend, he’s drafted a handful of his close friends and collaborators to join him. Rowdy Rebel, Anti Da Menace, Doodie Lo, and FCG Heem will play alongside Rob49 as part of the New Orleans Vultures. Meanwhile, G Herbo leads the opposing team, Choppa City, which includes Gillie Da King and Fredo Bang.

“They suck, man,” he said with a laugh ahead of the game. “We gon’ win though, for sure.” For Fredo Bang, this presents an excellent opportunity for him to get his lick back on the court. A video went viral several months back of Rob49 collecting a rumored $10,000 from the Baton Rouge native after a pickup game. “We beat him. Not out of $10,000, though but we beat him by a lot of money,” Rob49 said, although he did acknowledge that Fredo might return with a chip on his shoulder.

Despite the doubts he has for the opposing team, he feels as though Gillie Da King aka Damian Gillard has the potential to lead the game in a major way. Besides himself, he said that Gillie could very well leave the game as the MVP of this year’s Vulture Island weekend. “Yeah, I’m a fan of his game. He’s real good. Him and Ceedy Deuce got a chance [at MVP],” he said.

HNHH will keep you posted on the results of Vulture Island weekend. For the timebeing, check out Rob49’s latest album, 4GOD II.

G Herbo Hilariously Mimics NBA YoungBoy

Rapper relationships and interactions don’t always have to be about collabs or beef; can’t people have a little fun sometimes? Moreover, a clip is floating around social media right now of G Herbo imitating NBA YoungBoy, particularly his energetic moves. It seems like quite the chill environment: he’s outside with what seem like balloons behind him, which a quick search on his Instagram hints to be for a birthday party for his daughter Emmy. During the clip, you can hear YB’s “Fresh Prince Of Utah” play while the Chicago rapper motions to light a joint, flails his arms and legs around, and removes the joint forcefully from his lips.

Considering the Baton Rouge MC’s heated attitude when it comes to beef, hopefully this doesn’t come back to bite G Herbo. While the two don’t have any official collabs together and this seems very light-hearted, YoungBoy is on a bit of a streak right now. After all, he dissed not only Lil Durk, but also his boo India Royale and DJ Akademiks during a lengthy Twitter rant recently. Let’s also not forget his recent “F**k The Industry Pt. 2” diss track, also taking aim at Drake and Lil Yachty. However, it’s unlikely that he would let a simple video draw his ire without any context.

G Herbo’s Spot-On YoungBoy Imitation

Regardless, G Herbo seemed to have a great time with loved ones at the event, even with people asking about his other kids. On that note, it’s clear that while he and Ari Fletcher had their issues in the past, they can still come together to show some family love. In April, they threw their son Yosohn a lavish party for his fifth birthday, complete with superhero costumes and much more. While his music career continues to develop and grow, it’s also heartening to see him enjoy the simpler, more important things in life, as well.

On that note, the “Raining” MC is known to be quite the prolific artist year to year, and it’s no different in 2023. Furthermore, he just dropped his latest mixtape Strictly 4 My Fans 2, a 12-track offering that’s quite self-explanatory. With just a couple of features including GloRilla, it’s a concise but self-led offering of what fans love him for. Maybe that NBA YoungBoy and G Herbo collab will come sooner than expected, because maybe YB finds his tribute impressive, or at least as funny as the rest of the fans do. Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates from these two MCs.

G Herbo’s ‘Swervin’ Through Stress’ Initiative Officially Registered as 501c3 Nonprofit

G Herbo has announced his Swervin’ Through Stress initiative is now a recognized 501c3 nonprofit corporation.

By introducing and educating the BIPOC community at a young age, as well as by giving access to resources, tools, and coping mechanisms to combat the long-term effects of undiagnosed mental illness both at the personal and community level, Swervin’ Through Stress seeks to de-stigmatize conversations about mental wellness.

“Our community doesn’t talk about mental health enough,” Herbo said to Billboard. “With Swervin’ Through Stress, I really wanted to create a space where it’s OK for us to talk about what we’re going through. A lot of us can relate to each other’s struggles.”

The news that Swervin’ Through Stress has obtained 501c3 status comes after the release of G Herbo’s highly anticipated mixtape, Strictly 4 My Fans 2, which features remarkable collaborations with GloRilla as well as up-and-coming artists Mello Buckzz and Drench. This outstanding accomplishment aligns with the mixtape’s engaging soundscape, provided by renowned producers like Southside, DJ Victoriouz, Oz On The Track, Luca Vialli, and others, and is reminiscent of Lil Herb’s gritty drill beats.

unnamed[WATCH] G Herbo Delivers New "We Don't Care" Video

The official video for “We Don’t Care,” the first video from G Herbo’s recently released mixtape Strictly 4 My Fans 2, has been released. The Kevin Mares-directed video features a montage of the rapper’s recent experiences, combining his career highlights with personal moments behind the scenes.

GloRilla and Chicago newcomers Mello Buckzz and Drench provide guest verses to the 12-song drop. Strictly 4 My Fans 2‘s production features work from a number of longtime collaborators, including Southside, DJ Victoriouz, Oz On The Track, Luca Vialli, and more. Its soundtrack is reminiscent of the grimy, skittering drill rhythms that Lil Herb used to rap over.

The debut of Lil Herb’s first mixtape, Strictly 4 My Fans, in November 2016 when G Herbo was only 21 years old, was a turning point in his career. When Strictly 4 My Fans was made available across all platforms, Herb started the process of going from being a local block celebrity to a major music artist.

The intensity heard in the lyrics on Strictly 4 My Fans 2 on tracks like “Off Days,” “Fuck Opps,” and “Watch Me Ball Pt 2” pay homage to the hunger felt seven years ago. You can hear the new project below.

Who Is Mello Buckzz? Everything To Know About The Chicago Rapper

Chicago-based drill rapper Mello Buckzz crashed into the hip-hip scene with serious force. The release of “Boom (Mouskatool),” which featured Amari Blaze, Kashh Mir, and Moni Da G, got the 21-year-old an influx of attention, even from prestigious publications like Pitchfork. It was followed by the even bigger “Boom Pt. 2,” which had the one and only Latto. That track boasts over a million streams on Spotify, and its music video has over three million views.

A spot on G Herbo‘s new mixtape Strictly 4 My Fans 2 is a big deal, too. Mello Buckzz is on the track “Outside” alongside fellow viral sensation GloRilla. It was released Friday, April 28, and it’s the only feature on the album aside for one with Drench on the opener “No Limit.” According to Book Club Chicago, Mello Buckzz took up rapping in 2020 and Herbo supported her from the start.

Latto even brought her out on stage on Coachella this year, where the two of them brought made the crowd go wild for “Boom Pt. 2.”

The latest material from Mello Buckzz is the song “Pretty Opp,” unleashed on Thursday, April 27, a two-minute ripper full of her signature confidence and wit: “Blackout like Halloween, they’ll think I’m Michael with a wig / I’ll make his body looking beehive with these shells these b*tches big.” She’s keeping the momentum going, that’s for sure.

G Herbo Drops “Strictly 4 My Fans 2” Mixtape, Featuring GloRilla

G Herbo is back with a new mixtape. The rapper’s last album, Survivor’s Remorse, was released last year. The album was home to lots of big features, including appearances from Jeremih, Future, Offset, and others. The album was a success, and G Herbo seems to be riding that high to this day. Recently, the rapper made a statement on Instagram suggesting that he was working on something new. In the statement, he said he felt like the “best rapper alive.” Fans took that to mean he must be working on a new album, and it turns out they were right.

Although several rappers could contend for the title of the best, G Herbo believes he meets the criteria. After being in the industry for almost a decade, he may at least have a solid case to support his statement. Despite some disagreeing with him, he has consistently released good music over the past few years. Each new release showcased a different facet of his artistic depth. Projects such as PTSD and 25, in particular, were well-received by both fans and critics, leading many to believe that he has stepped up his game.

G Herbo’s Return To Form

Strictly 4 My Fans 2 is G Herbo’s latest effort. The mixtape includes 12 tracks and features guest verses from GloRilla, Mello Buckzz, and Drench. The mixtape was produced buy long-time collaborators of the rapper, like Southside and Oz On The Track. It has already been almost 7 years since the release of G Herbo’s first mixtape, Strictly 4 My Fans. At the time, he was only 21 years old, and it was that very mixtape that propelled him into the global spotlight.

On the new mixtape, G Herbo raps about still being part of the streets, even though he recently talked about leaving them. “I know on my block it ain’t safe / But where on the block I feel safe,” he raps. “Like a puzzle I feel I’m in place /
That’s where n*ggas get shot in they face.” On the track’s hook, G Herbo says he’s “still with killers.” That may be the case, but later on the album, he gets vulnerable about the fragile nature of life. On “Dead Or Alive,” the rapper wonders whether life is really worth it if you end up “stuck in a hearse.”

Quotable Lyrics:

Either way, I’m top five, dead, or alive
One of the trillest from my side, dead, or alive
Ran this sh*t up high, my kids fine
So, they livin’ like they mine, dead, or alive, I ain’t lyin’
Tell my mama, ain’t no cryin’, n*gga, I ain’t cryin’
Ain’t no killers in the car, n*gga, I ain’t ridin’
I’m the illest, bar for bar and I’m lit up like a star
All my ice on me a knot, b*tch, I’m still shinin’
