French Montana Is Joined by Kodak Black for "Mopstick" Video

French Montana has dipped back into his They Got Amnesia bag to release the video for “Mopstick.” French is joined by Kodak Black as they take a boat through the marsh to provide a video to this banger.

Back in December, French Montana made his return, releasing his new album They Got Amnesia.

Features on the album include John Legend, Rick Ross, Pop Smoke, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Fabolous, Coi Leray, 42 Dugg, Ty Dolla $ign, Latto, Lil Tjay and Moneybagg Yo.

“This album reflects my personal journey, so it’s the most special for me,” says French Montana. “God gave me another chance at life and this music healed me. I’m grateful to my collaborators and my fans for supporting me. I had to remind ‘em, ‘cause you know THEY GOT AMNESIA!”

French Montana And Kodak Black Get Down In Gator Country For The ‘Mopstick’ Video

Another day, another music video for French Montana. The man has a seemingly endless budget for videos and we’re absolutely here for it. Earlier this month, the video for “Push Start” saw French taking over a New York City subway with Coi Leray and 42 Dugg. Now the latest clip for “Mopstick” featuring Kodak Black sees the pair going down to Black’s home turf in Florida.

Off of Montana’s latest album, They Got Amnesia, “Mopstick” marks the fourth time the duo has appeared on a track together. In the video, they start flexing in an airboat on the swampy Everglades. Montana totes an assault rifle as they cruise the rivers and canals of the Bayou (in case any gators start acting a fool and need the business, obviously). Then, they take the track to the streets of Pompano Beach, rapping in front of a Chinese restaurant and cuddling a baby gator.

Montana raps, “Fresh out the coma, already grinning, like he ain’t having it,” before Kodak adds, “Fresh out of prison, already winning, I ain’t catching it,” in a nod to the presidential pardon from Donald Trump that got him out of prison early on federal weapons charges.

French Montana has entered a new relationship with Canada Dry. “Big Comfy,” a fun take on why staying home from the club is the most comfortable way to spend the evening, was co-written by Canada Dry and the artist.

The spoof video features a humorous Montana as an infomercial actor hawking the most comfortable lime green fur slippers that no one can resist, directed by James Larese and scored by Montana’s old buddy Harry Fraud. “I’m drinkin’ my Canada Dry, I’m comfortable with shorty, I ain’t comin’ outside,” he raps, transforming the advertisement into a dreamlike vision of an at-home “Montana party.” ‘What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done in your life?’ she asked. “Watch a full series in one night,” I advised her.

Montana is accompanied solely by his fiancée (Montana’s brother, Ayoub Kharbouch, also makes a cameo) and a distinct, bubbling green can of his favorite soft drink, Canada Dry Ginger Ale, on the couch, as if it were a club on a Friday night.

“It’s been so legendary to bring my creative vision to life in this collaboration with Canada Dry,” said French Montana. “A night in wouldn’t be the same without a comfy robe, slippers, and Canada Dry Ginger Ale by my side…that’s what we call a MONTANA PARTY.”

Derek Dabrowski, VP, Brand Marketing, said of the campaign, “Canada Dry has been a fan favorite for years, and the brand’s continuous growth is a testament to that. The collaboration with French Montana will remind audiences everywhere the joys of staying in and finding comfort by unwinding with Canada Dry.”

French Montana Takes Over A New York City Subway In His ‘Push Start’ Video With Coi Leray And 42 Dugg

French Montana concluded his 2021 year by releasing his fourth album They Got Amnesia. It stood as his first full-length release since 2019’s Montana which caused some controversy after he was accused of using fake streams to promote the album. This time with They Got Amnesia, things were a lot smoother, and months after the album’s release, French Montana is still in full promotion mode. Proof of that comes with his latest video for “Push Start.”

In his latest visual, which features appearances from Coi Leray and 42 Dugg who provide guest verses on the song, French Montana kicks things off by taking over a New York City subway with help from a cast of women. French lays his raps while the ladies twerk and have a blast behind him. Later on, French steps off the train to continue the party as Leray and 42 Dugg join him to rap their own verses.

The video for “Push Start” is the latest one that French has delivered for a song from They Got Amnesia. Prior to today, we received visuals for “How You King?,” “Handstand,” “Bag Season,” “Panicking,” “Business,” and “FWMGAB (Remix).”
