French Montana And Kodak Black Get Down In Gator Country For The ‘Mopstick’ Video

Another day, another music video for French Montana. The man has a seemingly endless budget for videos and we’re absolutely here for it. Earlier this month, the video for “Push Start” saw French taking over a New York City subway with Coi Leray and 42 Dugg. Now the latest clip for “Mopstick” featuring Kodak Black sees the pair going down to Black’s home turf in Florida.

Off of Montana’s latest album, They Got Amnesia, “Mopstick” marks the fourth time the duo has appeared on a track together. In the video, they start flexing in an airboat on the swampy Everglades. Montana totes an assault rifle as they cruise the rivers and canals of the Bayou (in case any gators start acting a fool and need the business, obviously). Then, they take the track to the streets of Pompano Beach, rapping in front of a Chinese restaurant and cuddling a baby gator.

Montana raps, “Fresh out the coma, already grinning, like he ain’t having it,” before Kodak adds, “Fresh out of prison, already winning, I ain’t catching it,” in a nod to the presidential pardon from Donald Trump that got him out of prison early on federal weapons charges.

French Montana Takes Over A New York City Subway In His ‘Push Start’ Video With Coi Leray And 42 Dugg

French Montana concluded his 2021 year by releasing his fourth album They Got Amnesia. It stood as his first full-length release since 2019’s Montana which caused some controversy after he was accused of using fake streams to promote the album. This time with They Got Amnesia, things were a lot smoother, and months after the album’s release, French Montana is still in full promotion mode. Proof of that comes with his latest video for “Push Start.”

In his latest visual, which features appearances from Coi Leray and 42 Dugg who provide guest verses on the song, French Montana kicks things off by taking over a New York City subway with help from a cast of women. French lays his raps while the ladies twerk and have a blast behind him. Later on, French steps off the train to continue the party as Leray and 42 Dugg join him to rap their own verses.

The video for “Push Start” is the latest one that French has delivered for a song from They Got Amnesia. Prior to today, we received visuals for “How You King?,” “Handstand,” “Bag Season,” “Panicking,” “Business,” and “FWMGAB (Remix).”

French Montana And Moneybagg Yo Share The Wealth In Their Opulent ‘FWMGAB’ Remix Video

French Montana and Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo take a vacation in Cuba in the video for their new collaboration, the “FWMGAB” remix from Montana’s new album, They Got Amnesia. Opening with the triumphant horn from Jerry Rivera’s “Amores Como El Nuestro,” the track quickly transforms into an upbeat, rump-shaking, money-getting anthem, and the sunny imagery of the video is cut to match; French and Moneybagg compete in a high-stakes card game, while a pool full of voluptuous, scantily-clad women gyrate to the music.

The Bronx rapper hasn’t let up on his album promotion since it dropped, releasing videos for “Panicking” with Fivio Foreign, “Bag Season” with Lil Tjay, “Handstand” with Doja Cat & Saweetie, “How You King?,” and “Business.” The album and its singles were aimed at addressing fan chatter that suggested French isn’t quite the hitmaker that he used to be, which he also refuted in a Twitter debate, reminding fans of his long list of Billboard Hot 100 mainstays.

That chatter also led him to assert during an interview that it’s harder to make it in rap than to make it in the NBA. While that’s certainly debatable — there are a lot fewer slots available to aspiring pro basketball players who must prove their physical prowess and skill levels opposed to rappers who luck into viral hits on TikTok and get approached by major labels with nigh-infinite budgets to sign and promote them — French has at least proven that he’s still one of hip-hop’s go-to hitmakers.

French Montana Celebrates His Wins And Looks To Gain Some More In His Video For ‘Business’

After nearly two years away, French Montana returned with his fourth album They Got Amensia, featuring a heavy cast of guest acts including Doja Cat, Saweetie, John Legend, Rick Ross, Kodak Black, Pop Smoke, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Ty Dolla Sign, Latto, and more. After sharing a collection of videos for its songs, French keeps the streak alive with one for “Business.”

It finds French Montana sitting around a gambling table with a group of friends as they play for a big prize. The camera then pans around the room and returns to the table to show French making the game-winning move. He celebrates with those around him, but things take a dramatic turn as it transitions to him waking up in a hospital bed.

“Business” is the latest track from They Got Amnesia to receive the video treatment, joining “How You King?,” “Handstand,” “Bag Season,” and “Panicking.” French recently caused a bit of controversy by saying that it’s harder to be successful in rap than it is in the NBA.

French Montana Relives His Scary Near-Death Collapse In The Tense ‘How You King?’ Video

Back in 2019, French Montana was hospitalized after collapsing in his home due to what he called “a combination of a lot of things: being fatigued, dehydrated, you know, losing myself chasing money, chasing the wrong things… Too much drinking, too many pills.” The incident prompted him to give up drinking and drugs to avoid an early demise, but it’s apparently had other effects on him as well — as he illustrates in the latest video from his new album, They Got Amnesia.

The video for “How You King?” opens with an obviously inebriated and sleep-deprived Montana entertaining a pair of women at his home. Shortly after they leave, he collapses and spends the remainder of the video being rushed to the hospital, hooked up to machines, and watching himself through an observation window as he has an out-of-body experience. Meanwhile, he raps over the infamous “Impeach the President” drum loop, contemplating the heavy questions left behind by his brush with death. “If I fell with no one around, wouldn’t even make a sound,” he hums. “‘Cause I can’t even make one now.” Although the song has multiple versions on the album version, here, the video cuts off shortly after the first verse in a chilling imagining of an alternate outcome that could have seen his legacy also cut short.

Doja Cat Rocks A Machine Gun Bra In French Montana’s ‘Handstand’ Video With Saweetie

Taking inspiration from Robert Rodriguez’s grindhouse revival flick Planet Terror, French Montana and Doja Cat lead a violent revolution in a dystopian future in the video for “Handstand” from French’s new album They Got Amnesia. Saweetie also appears on the song, twerking on a rooftop as the cityscape burns behind her like Nero.

That doesn’t mean the video lacks eye candy, though. While being confronted by grungy, Mad Max-esque punks and menacing cyborgs, Doja is equipped with the most dangerous piece of lingerie: A machine gun bra, which she apparently finds great enjoyment in putting to use. As riots take over and eventually destroy the already mostly demolished city, the trio defeats their enemy while showing off French’s new NFT (look, nobody ever said product placement has to make sense).

Montana, who recently argued that it’s harder to be successful in rap than pro basketball, has been enjoying plenty of success surrounding the rollout for his album, with videos for “Panicking” and “Bag Season” helping to bring They Got Amnesia in at No. 59 on the Billboard 200.

French Montana, Doja Cat, And Saweetie Are All For Some Freaky Fun On ‘Handstand’

It’s been nearly two years since French Montana delivered an album to the world with his last being 2019’s Montana. Luckily for fans of the rapper, that streak is officially over as Montana returns with his fourth album, They Got Amnesia. The project seems to be a response to those who forgot the hits he contributed to hip-hop over the past decade, which include “Pop That,” “Unforgettable,” “Marble Floors,” and more. A bright moment on They Got Amnesia comes when Montana recruits Doja Cat and Saweetie for “Handstand.”

The track is a bouncy effort that finds the trio indulging in some freaky fun. Montana, Doja, and Saweetie each flaunt their sexual prowess as they request and receive attention from those around them. As for the rest of They Got Amnesia, French Montana delivers 21 songs for the album that also sees appearances from John Legend, Rick Ross, Kodak Black, Pop Smoke, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Fabolous, 42 Dugg, Coi Leray, Ty Dolla Sign, Latto, Lil Tjay, and Moneybagg Yo.

As for Doja and Saweetie, the former recently passed Drake for the most monthly listeners on Spotify while Saweetie dropped her Icy Season special on Amazon.

French Montana’s ‘They Got Amnesia’ Tracklist Features Drake, Doja Cat, John Legend, And More

Maybe you saw the Squid Game meme floating around last week jokingly asking people to name five feature-less French Montana tracks. The Twitter trolls can cool their jets, because when French Montana releases They Got Amnesia, his fourth full-length album, on Friday, they’ll see that 10 of its 20 tracks have no featured guests. And while the Bronx rapper took it upon himself to respond, he doesn’t have anything to prove as a singular force.

That being said, the tracklist (below) for They Got Amnesia dropped today and the list of featured guests is eye-popping and shows how well-respected of a collaborator he is across the spectrum. In addition to the already released “Panicking” with Fivio Foreign, the album will feature appearances from Rick Ross, Doja Cat, Saweetie, John Legend, Pop Smoke, Drake, and a whole lot more.

French Montana And Fivio Foreign Pull Off A High-Altitude Heist In The Video For ‘Panicking’

Seven years ago, French Montana released “Don’t Panic,” warning listeners that “we just getting started.” Now that he’s nearly two decades deep in the game, it appears he’s giving us all the green light to lose it with his new single, aptly titled “Panicking.” It features Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign and a hook that boasts that now “we got ’em panicking.”

The song arrived with a tongue-in-cheek video that follows French and Fivey as they pull off a high-altitude heist, shoving a pallet of cash out of the back of a cargo plane and promptly following it down. However, it looks like their parachutes opened a little late; they crash into a fancy spa filled with gorgeous women, declaring “we in a buffet!” After a wardrobe change, we see the boys getting pampered by their new acquaintances wearing silk robes and boasting that they’ll have “your favorite rapper naked on that OnlyFans” (apparently they are assuming that your favorite rapper is either a beautiful woman or selling so poorly they need alternative income — they really should clarify these things). Unfortunately, our boys get caught at the end; as thieves, they should really have been observing Heat rules here: “Don’t let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.”

“Panicking” is the latest single from French’s upcoming fourth full-length studio album, They Got Amnesia, which drops on November 12 Epic Records/Bad Boy Entertainment. You can pre-order the project here.
