Nicki Minaj Joined By 2 Chainz & Waka Flocka Flame During Pink Friday 2 Atlanta Show

Earlier this year Nicki Minaj took off on what’s already her highest selling tour to date. The Pink Friday 2 tour comes on the back of the album of the same name which dropped late last year. She’s already played a number of sold-out tour stops in cities like Phoenix, Seattle, and Denver. She also brought the tour’s elaborate theatrics to her headlining slot at Rolling Loud Los Angeles last weekend. But during her second show of the tour in Atlanta overnight, she brought some very special guests along with her.

After her first show in Atlanta sold out quickly, Nicki added a second show in one of rap’s predominant cities. According to the venue, State Farm Arena, the second show was also a sold out affair. For the second show, Nicki was joined by some guests who also mean quite a bit to the city. First came 2 Chainz, who joined Nicki on stage for a performance of their beloved collaboration “Beez In The Trap.” Later in the show Waka Flocka Flame took the stage. He unpacked his classic hit “Hard In Da Paint” in a moment that Atlanta rap fans surely loved. Check out the videos of the performances below.

Waka Flocka Flame “Hurt” King Harris By Leaving His Birthday Party Invite On Read

The lives of nepo babies are full of seemingly endless benefits, including instant connections with countless other celebrities, usually just due to sharing a last name. It may be easier for the children of famous figures to get in touch with their favourite stars, but that doesn’t mean they don’t face rejection. King Harris, in particular, felt the pain of being ignored by one of his idols recently. During a recent Live stream, the 18-year-old revealed that Waka Flocka Flame left a message inviting the “No Hands” hitmaker to his birthday party on read.

“It’s one motherf**ker that I’m hurt about, man,” King vented. “This s**t done hurt me, man. But it’s alright, man. I know how s**t be, man. Waka Flocka, man, I reached out to Waka Flocka. He done left me on seen, that’s [wild]. But s**t, man, maybe one day,” he went on, before noting that he and the 37-year-old “come from the same side.”

Waka Flocka Left King Harris on Seen

As the clip from Harris’ Live continues to circulate on various blogs, internet users are laughing at the idea of Waka Flocka pulling up to a 19th birthday party. “What can he possibly celebrate with you?” one viewer asked the young star. “Ain’t nobody obligated to go ANYWHERE! Let’s make that clear,” someone else chimed in. Elsewhere, others called King out for claiming a side of the street when he grew up in the suburbs. “Same side of what? You wanna claim a street so bad,” they lashed out at T.I. and Tiny’s son.

King Harris may be only 18 years old, but already, his reputation proceeds him. The teen’s father is obviously aware of his son’s shortcomings, but he doesn’t seem to love King any less. Waka Flocka Wants A 50 Cent & Busta Rhymes Collab Album

There are countless East Coast rap juggernauts from hip-hop’s inception and in the present. The Notorious B.I.G, Cam’ron, Nas, the list goes on. However, a couple of other MCs in the space, 50 Cent and Busta Rhymes are legends in their own right. 50 has done so much for the gangsta rap subgenre with two of the biggest album releases, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and The Massacre.

As for Busta Rhymes, he has been a vital part of some massive songs such as “Don’t Cha” by The Pussycat Dolls, “Look At Me Now” by Chis Brown, and more. On top of that, his speedy flows and witty bars make him a must-have for a feature or album release. So, it is no secret that both coming together for a collaboration effort would be a great move on their part and for the genre at large. As someone who was born in South Jamaica, Queens, New York, Waka Flocka has a lot of knowledge about the East Coast scene. That is why recently, he shared his thoughts on X, formerly Twitter, on who should join forces for new music.

It began in July and will run into early November with the final destination in Birmingham, England. The international tour dates begin on September 28.

Waka Flocka Wants A Grammy For “No Hands”

Waka Flocka Flame has had quite the career evolution. From making hits like “Hard in Da Paint” to now being a retired rapper and scholar. The dude really quit rap and got an honorary Doctorate. Moreover, there’s no denying that Waka Flocka has made a significant impact on the culture. Since being retired the 36-year-old rapper has had some time to sit and reflect on his career.

A few days ago, on April 23rd, Waka Flocka took to the internet to air some grievances. He asked Twitter, “How did I not get a grammy for no hands?” garnering many answers from fans. Waka Flocka wondering why he didn’t receive a Grammy for his 2010 anthem “No Hands” is completely valid. However, some fans had to bring the Flockaveli artist back down to Earth. One commenter noted that his Grammy loss came at the hands of Kanye “Ye” West. They said, “Prolly cuz Kanye was blocking all rap noms that year.”

Waka Flocka Asks Twitter

Although, they’re not wrong. 2010 was a big year for Ye. With works like My Beautiful Dark Fantasy, along with his collab tape with Jay-Z Watch the Throne the following year, Waka Flocka had his work cut out for him. At the 54th Annual Grammy Awards Ye earned the most nominations that year with seven and won four (sorry Waka). However, that doesn’t mean Waka Flocka wasn’t deserving of a Grammy.

“No Hands,” is an award-worthy song that needs its just do. There have been many club bangers, but not one like “No Hands.” The Roscoe Dash hook is undefeated. Waka Flocka brought new energy to the game when he put out his debut Flockaveli. A hit like “No Hands” deserves an award. However, fans would argue that “Hard in Da Paint” is also deserving of such a high honor. While Waka Flocka may not have a Grammy for his smash hit, it’s still a dope record regardless. Nonetheless, let the HNHH staff know what you think about Waka’s tweet. Does “No Hands” deserve a Grammy or is Waka trippin? Let us know in the comments section below!

Waka Flocka Reflects On Being Shot: “That Was A Blessing”

There were plenty of gems pulled from Shannon Sharpe’s interview with Waka Flocka. The rapper is often candid during such conversations, and he didn’t hold back on Club Shay Shay. Waka spoke about YSL’s RICO case and even addressed the tragic passing of Takeoff. Additionally, he also touched on being shot 13 years ago during a robbery in Atlanta.

Reports stated Waka was at a car wash when someone demanded the rapper hand over his jewelry. During the incident, the armed thief fired off one shot. The bullet reportedly traveled through Waka’s shoulder, arm, rib, and lung. He recalled thinking his assailant would have to kill him for his chain.

As terrifying as the event and recovery may have been, Waka looks at how the moment changed his life for the better.

“Yeah, I still go to the car wash,” he told Sharpe. “I know what happened, definitely, 100 percent.”

“I thank God for that, too. That was a blessing, because that weekend, I was making like a quarter million. I was going to buy some bricks and some pounds. That’s God that stopped me. I thank God because I was arrogant as f*ck.”

He added that the old version of himself “died that day.”
