Lil Yachty Drops By For His “On The Radar Freestyle”

Lil Yachty’s run in 2023 has been one of the most fun and incredible moments in hip-hop. It is really hard to picture anyone else who is over him right now. The consistency, but also the quality of the output the Georgia artist has been giving us cannot be ignored. One of the most shining examples was his recent surprise track with J. Cole. “The Secret Recipe” sees Yachty rapping like his life depends on it with Cole coming in the second to deliver another great verse.

What also has to be said about Yachty has been his willingness to try new beats and instrumentals. The aforementioned track featured an Alchemist-like production. His genre-straddling record Let’s Start Here. featured many different genres. Again, on top of that, his performances have been animated, and colorful. Also, when he is rapping, he is going all out. That is the case here with his “On The Radar Freestyle.”

Jay Rock Is Taking Control Of His Life On New “Ambition (Freestyle)”

One of the first members of TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment), Jay Rock, has remained fairly dormant over the past five years or so. The last full-length offering we heard from him was his 2018 record, Redemption. You had solid tracks on there. From “The Bloodiest,” “OSOM” with J. Cole, to “Wow Freestyle” with Kendrick Lamar, there was plenty of quality to be heard. Since then, though, Rock has put on some loose collaborations and singles. However, we did hear some rumblings that the West Coast artist would be dropping a new project soon.

We do not know any dates yet, but the album is expected to be called Eastside Johnny. Rock might have given us two lead singles from this LP earlier this year. The fun hit “Too Fast (Pull Over)” with Latto and Anderson .Paak, with production from Mustard, was released in July. Then, before that, was “Eastside” with Kal Banx. Now, we could possibly be hearing the third track with “Ambition (Freestyle).”

Listen To “Ambition (Freestyle)” From Jay Rock

The song is only about a minute and a half long but Rock makes the most of the short runtime. He spits very aggressively and with urgency. Jay wants to make it clear that he is on his own path to success and he is going to do whatever it takes. “No myth, no fable, witness the rise of a beast / Gotta live it up, you only get one / Nothing’s impossible, I’m grinding ’til the mission is done.” Hopefully, that mission is dropping his new album, because it is sounding great so far.

What are your initial thoughts on Jay Rock’s newest single, “Ambition (Freestyle)?” Do you think this will make the final cut for his upcoming album Eastside Johnny? When do you believe we will get this project? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. Armani White Goes All In On “REDEYE TO PHILLY. (Freestyle)”

Philly has some incredible and colorful rap acts currently. It is certainly an underrated birthplace of big-time names. With Meek Mill, Lil Uzi Vert, Black Thought, and Tierra Whack, the pool is vast. Now, listeners need to add Armani White to that long list.

Armani got his big break with the release of his viral social media hit “BILLIE EILISH.” Of course, it is a reference to pop megastar, Billie Eilish. However, while it might have seemed like a one-hit-wonder situation, White is proving otherwise. The multi-talent put out a terrific and fun tight project, Road to CASABLANCO., earlier this year right around summer time. The listen includes the super smash single, on top of some other entertaining cuts, “GOATED.” with Denzel Curry and more.

Besides White’s fun approach to his music, he can rap and sing as well. “GOATED.” was one example of that, but this YouTube and Soundcloud exclusive further cements that take. He released a fire freestyle called “REDEYE TO PHILLY.” and it shows off his rapping abilities to full effect. The flows and cadence switch up multiple times throughout. Additionally, there is a singing bit at the end as well to tie things up. Continue to keep your eye on Armani White, he is going to be a force.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new track, “REDEYE TO PHILLY. (Freestyle),” from Armani White? Is he one of the best new rappers out right now? VIC MENSA Lays Down Two Amazing Freestyles Over Classic Beats On L.A. Leakers

Chicago rapper VIC MENSA is having an underrated 2023. It fits him, seeing as he has been an unheralded talent ever since his first tape, There’s Alot Going On. He has quite a few projects since then, but only one of them classifies as an album. That was his debut in 2017, The Autobiography. But, Vic waited a whole six years later to put out his sophomore release, Victor. It is a big deal for him because of the wait, but also because of the big features. Rapsody, Common, Thundercat, Chance the Rapper, Jay Electronica and more appear on it.

Fans are taking a liking to the new release from MENSA because of the personal themes laced throughout the tracklist. Now, the multi-talented artist is continuing to ride this momentum throughout the rest of the year. Power 106 Los Angeles has seen some outrageous freestyles on their radio station and they just got to witness MENSA murder some classic instrumentals. The two beats he rapped over include “What It Feels Like” and “Get Down.”

Tokyo Toni Drops Freestyle Diss Of Beyonce

Tokyo Toni really spoke her mind about Beyoncé. The mother of Blac Chyna took to social media to speak her mind about the superstar. “She got all this fucking money. She got y’all looking fucking dumb. Who the fuck gon pay that money anyway. For a bad man’s bitch who use a fan all day? Stop the fan, two things gon happen. The bitch gon turn into a jackal. She gotta keep that fucking demon down. She keep that hair flowing, pounds. It’s crazy as shit, round for round. Costumes on, what the fuck she got on her fucking page? Costumes…from early age? What the fuck she got that wildass voodoo shit…” she continues for several more bars.

Safe to say, people weren’t feeling this. “Girl you better stop before the Beyhive get your motel room lights cut off 😂😂,” Melissa Etienne wrote on Instagram. “If Beyoncé invites her, trust me she going 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂,” added another. “If you mad you can’t afford tickets just say that 😂😂😂😂😂,” concurred someone else. “However, some people really didn’t see the funny side of the freestyle. You gotta have all your teeth placed and aligned in your mouth first before you can start talking about Beyoncé,” one fan shot back.

Beyoncé Continues To Stun On Renaissance Tour

Regardless of what Tokyo Toni has to say, Beyoncé continues to make headlines across the country as she enters the final weeks of her Renaissance tour. Recently, comedian Lil Rel Howery shared that Beyoncé had helped him to propose to his girlfriend at one of her shows. Lil Rel had to gone to the bathroom when the proposal song (“Love On Top”) started playing. However, he got lost on the way back to seat to find a slightly annoyed Beyoncé, who had been stalling the song so that Lil Rey could return.

Meanwhile, one fan ended up going into labor during Beyoncé’s birthday show earlier this week. “I wasn’t thinking that I was going into labor,” she told ABC7. “I wasn’t due for another week. We actually had a C-section planned. I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna have fun at this concert. This is my last hoorah.’” Jones says her baby “had other plans,” however. “I think she heard Beyoncé’s voice and was like, ‘I wanna go too.’ Sarah Francis Jones told local media after successfully giving birth.

Lupe Fiasco Brushes Off Technical Difficulties With A Freestyle

Technical difficulties are capable of completely derailing a show. Recently 50 Cent found himself so plagued by annoying technical shortcomings that he threw a microphone into the crowd. That throw of frustration landed him in some serious trouble as he’s being investigated as a battery suspect for the incident. But when Lupe Fiasco fell victim to some technical difficulties at a recent show he handled it differently.

In a new clip making the rounds online, Lupe shows just how creative he is with a freestyle to fill the space while some technical difficulties are sorted out. In the clip, his drummer plays him a simple beat and Lupe goes off over it. He spits a freestyle about how he arrived at the show that day and the performance he’s about to give. The chemistry between Lupe and his drummer and the performance itself is incredibly impressive given its impromptu. Check out the full clip below.

Flo Milli Freestyles Over Kelis’ “Milkshake” In New “Hot Box” Video: Watch

Flo Milli continues to kill it. This summer, the Southern starlet has been consistently celebrating some of the biggest names in hip-hop as the genre turns 50 this year. Lil Wayne and Too Short are among those whose most famous songs (“A Milli” and “Blow The Whistle”) were reimagined by Flo in her fun and flirtatious fashion. This New Music Friday (August 18), she returned with another homage to one of the greats – Kelis – by rapping over her famous “Milkshake” beat for a track called “Hot Box.”

In the accompanying visual, we see the 23-year-old working a shift at her milkshake truck alongside friends who look slightly more appropriately dressed for the job than her. “He brought his b**ch to see me at Coachella / Stalking online, but in person, it’s wetter,” she rhymes over Kelis’ classic hit. “Keep pressing me, she must got a vendetta / Go ask your ni**a who’s sucking it better,” Milli confidently adds, making it clear she’s not one to fight over a man.
