Baby Tate Shouts Out Numerous Female Rap Legends In New Freestyle

On The Radar freestyles have increasingly become the place for rappers to show off their raw talent. Most notably, Drake and Central Cee teamed up for a collaborative freestyle that made waves last year. But tons of rappers from major names down to the newest up and comers have taken the chance to show off their lyrics and flow on the platform. The most recent is Baby Tate, who has already been impressing fans for years with her versatility.

In her new freestyle, she chose to pay tribute to many of the female rappers and singers who have influenced her. She weaves together a pretty tight series of bard shouting out one great woman in music after another. Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Missy Elliott, Lil Kim, and more all come up through the course of her freestyle. In the comments, fans loved the approach she took. “’m loving it. The homage she’s paying to the greats #Respect” one comment agrees. Others focus on Tate’s own abilities with comments like “She’s so fire!! talented with the music, singing, dancing, etc.. Let’s focus on the talent going forward.” Check out the freestyle below.

Baby Tate Pays Homage In Her On The Radar Freestyle

Baby Tate plays a small but pretty important role in a song that went massively viral across the past 6 months. She teamed up with JID and 21 Savage for the track “Surround Sound” which landed on JID’s 2022 album The Forever Story. While the song was a fan-favorite right out of the gate it didn’t really catch fire until it became the soundtrack to a TikTok challenge last year. That led the song to eventually go platinum and it currently sits at nearly 500 million streams on Spotify.

Jim Jones Seemingly Shades Diddy In New “On The Radar” Freestyle

Fans believe Jim Jones appears to have dissed Diddy and his associates during a new freestyle for On The Radar. During the freestyle, he raps: “I seen you rap b*tches and rap n****s inside that n***a’s house. Now, you acting different. I should air you n****s out.” When The Neighborhood Talk shared the clip on Instagram, users presumed he was referring to the various allegations against the Bad Boy mogul.

“So everyone was quiet until it was popular to be loud …. Got it!” one fan wrote. Another theorized Jones wasn’t dissing Diddy specifically. “He not shading… he saying people been hangn wit him now they want to act diff. Jim been hangn out wit diddy,” they commented.

After a fourth victim came forward with stories of abuse about Diddy back in December, he released a statement on Instagram. “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”, Diddy wrote in all-caps. “FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS, I HAVE SAT SILENTLY AND WATCHED PEOPLE TRY TO ASSASSINATE MY CHARACTER, DESTROY MY REPUTATION AND MY LEGACY. SICKENING ACCUSATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE AGAINST ME BY INDIVIDUALS LOOKING FOR A QUICK PAYDAY. LET ME BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR. I DID NOT DO ANY OF THE AWFUL THINGS BEING ALLEGED. I WILL FIGHT FOR MY NAME, MY FAMILY AND FOR THE TRUTH. SEAN DIDDY COMBS.” Since then, even more alleged victims have come forward. Check out Jim Jones’ full appearance on On The Radar below.

Jim Jones Appears To Shade Diddy

Despite Jones’ latest comments, he hasn’t always been at odds with Diddy. Back in 2022, he admitted that he thought a dinner with the legendary industry veteran would be more valuable than $1 million. “A million in cash or a convo wit @diddy,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I always take [the] convo somethings are priceless.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Jim Jones and Diddy on HotNewHipHop.

Fivio Foreign Goes After Natalie Nunn In New Freestyle, Declares “Free Tory,” And Even Sneak Disses Ice Spice

Fivio Foreign has proven to be someone who doesn’t mind speaking his mind. Overall, this is something he does on social media quite a bit. However, there are a few people out there who don’t like his stream-of-consciousness-like tweets. Some have even deemed him a corny individual. Regardless, he continues to do his thing. At the end of the day, he is a successful artist who doesn’t need the approval of haters on the internet. Instead, he can simply continue doing what has already brought him so much success.

That said, Fivio has found himself in some weird feuds as of late. Firstly, he has gotten himself caught up in a fight against the Hotties. Fivio Foreign has consistently taken the side of Tory Lanez, and has advocated for the “Free Tory” movement. Secondly, he found himself at odds with Natalie Nunn after claiming that she hooked up with his best friend. It’s all petty stuff, but it has definitely gotten his name into the news. In his latest “On The Radar” freestyle, he decided to speak on some of these topics. However, he did so in a way that is likely to make more people upset. This is especially true as he threw in an Ice Spice diss for good measure.

Fivio Foreign Goes At Everyone

In the freestyle, Fivio started out by saying “Free Tory” while also saying that the man is in good spirits. Subsequently, he went after Natalie Nunn, which isn’t all that surprising. However, it was his bar about women being the “king of New York” that eventually led to people thinking that he was taking a swipe at Ice Spice. As it stands, Spice is one of the biggest artists in the city, and she has declared herself the King. However, Fivio and others have quite a bit to say about that.

Let us know what you think of this new freestyle, in the comments section down below. Do you think this was a good look for Fivio Foreign? Do you like the new music he has been putting out? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Bruiser Wolf Turns His On The Radar Freestyle Into New Single “Brick Up”

Danny Brown is one of the most unique rappers around so it’s no surprise that the crew he rolls with is full of just as interesting artists. His Bruiser Brigade group has a few underrated fan favorites, though few are as beloved as Bruiser Wolf. The rapper first debuted back in 2021 with his album Dope Game Stupid. The project emerged as a fan favorite quickly though it took Wolf a full three years to follow-it up. Last month, he released his highly anticipated second album My Story Got Stories. The project led off with the wild song “2 Bad” which features standout performances from Danny Brown and Zeelooperz.

Now, Wolf is following up his new album much quicker, though just with a new single. Earlier this week he unleased the new single “Brick Up.” The song is a bouncy display of his unique lyrical style and unmistakable vocal delivery. It’s actually adapted from his On The Radar Freestyle which dropped a few weeks ago. The video of his freestyle had already racked up more than 7k views before the song dropped as a single. Listen to “Brick Up” below.

Bruiser Wolf’s Wordy New Single

Last year, Bruiser Wolf appeared on one of the most acclaimed rap albums of the year. Danny Brown dropped his new record Quaranta just a few months after the release of his JPEGMAFIA collab album Scaring The Hoes.

Bruiser Wolf teamed up with Danny on the fittingly narrative song “Y.B.P.” A few weeks after the release of the album the song got its own music video. The visuals were just as unique as the song showing off a stop-motion bank heist complete with animated versions of Wolf and Danny. What do you think of Bruiser Wolf’s new song? Do you hope he drops more material soon? Let us know in the comment section below.

VIC MENSA Destroys His “On The Radar” Freestyle Appearance: Watch

Hip-hop’s output this year has been one of the more questionable runs in recent memory. That is not to say that nothing exciting has happened. A fair amount of mainstream artists have dropped albums. However, not all of them have been universally well-regarded. It seems the opposite can be said about Chicago’s own, VIC MENSA. The 30-year-old artist also reentered the fray back in the middle of September. He did so with his self-titled sophomore LP, Victor. Overall, critics and fans have been sharing similar thoughts on the veteran’s release.

On top of that, VIC continues to be heavily involved in the freestyle space. This year alone, he has dropped some serious heat for L.A. Leakers and On The Radar Radio. His first appearance with the latter in 2023 was about three months ago. Recently, VIC came back for more, this time in collaboration with Lyrical Lemonade.

VIC MENSA Murks The Beat

On this one, MENSA goes in on a smooth boom-bap-like beat. The instrumentation has a jazzy element too and he just goes off on it. He switches his flows quite frequently on it, adding to the dynamic aspect. It is time more and more people put respect on his off-the-dome abilities. VIC is definitely back.

What are your initial thoughts on VIC MENSA’s “On The Radar” Freestyle? Is this the best appearance for On The Radar this year, why or why not? Is he the most underrated artist from Chicago? Where does he rank amongst freestylers all time? Is Victor still in your rotation? If so which songs are still doing it for you? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around VIC MENSA. Lil Yachty Drops By For His “On The Radar Freestyle”

Lil Yachty’s run in 2023 has been one of the most fun and incredible moments in hip-hop. It is really hard to picture anyone else who is over him right now. The consistency, but also the quality of the output the Georgia artist has been giving us cannot be ignored. One of the most shining examples was his recent surprise track with J. Cole. “The Secret Recipe” sees Yachty rapping like his life depends on it with Cole coming in the second to deliver another great verse.

What also has to be said about Yachty has been his willingness to try new beats and instrumentals. The aforementioned track featured an Alchemist-like production. His genre-straddling record Let’s Start Here. featured many different genres. Again, on top of that, his performances have been animated, and colorful. Also, when he is rapping, he is going all out. That is the case here with his “On The Radar Freestyle.”

On The Radar’s Gabe P Ranks Top 10 OTR Freestyles Of 2022

On The Radar became the go-to platform in 2022 for up-and-coming rappers to show and prove. At first, many of the mainstays of New York’s drill scene began appearing on the platform. Not only dropping bars but also, providing some of their most compelling interviews. However, what was initially limited to regional acts during the pandemic quickly spread into a worldwide affair.

Gabe P is the mastermind behind On The Radar, who launched the platform in 2022. Since then, the platform’s helped break plenty of artists, like Ice Spice. At the same time, they garnered the attention of the biggest acts in the genre, like Drake and Nicki Minaj. This year, On The Radar leveled up with the number of freestyles and interviews, many of which have gone viral. DThang’s freestyle helped attract new eyes in late 2021 but the momentum continued to build throughout 2022.

“Expansion is key,” Gabe told HotNewHipHop during a November Zoom call. “We’ve been blessed this year to really host people from all over. We’ve had Skillibeng on the show. We did GloRilla’s first interview in New York City, her very first interview in New York City.”

Artists like GloRilla, Ice Spice, and Skillibeng are a few who graced the OTR microphone before their mainstream success. However, it was largely a stepping stone for what’s in stores in 2023. Gabe has plans to take it global – not just bringing the world to New York City, but bringing On The Radar on the road with him.

“Next year, we’re going to take the show on tour. Right now, we’re aiming to hit I think 4 or 5 cities,” he revealed. “Memphis, Miami, Atlanta, and L.A., I think are our first couple of stops. So obviously, we’re always going to be near our base, we’re always going to do what we got to do for the city, but On The Radar is so much bigger than that. It’s an expanding ever-expanding music platform and you know, we’re going to be the biggest music platform in the world.”

From Ron Suno’s shirtless freestyle to Bizzy Banks’ first day-out freestyle, On The Radar produced some incredible moments. So, it was only right that we caught up with Gabe P for 12 Days Of Christmas to rank his favorite OTR freestyles of 2022 and share the stories behind them.

Check out our interview with Lola Brooke for 12 Days Of Christmas here.
