The two rappers, who recently collaborated on “First Person Shooter” from Drake’s For All The Dogs album, announced the It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? today and it kicks off in two months. The tour starts on January 18 in Denver, Colorado, and continues for two months before ending on March 27 in Birmingham, Alabama. Tickets for the It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? will first be available through a Cash App presale on November 15 starting at 11am local time. That presale will last until November 16 at 10pm local time. To secure a ticket through the presale, Cash App Card users must use the first nine digits of their Cash App Card to unlock the presale, and tickets for the tour must be purchased with their Cash App Card. Drake And J. Cole Announced The ‘It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What?’ For 2024

Earlier this year, Drake announced that J. Cole would have a guest feature on his next album, that being For All The Dogs. The album arrived last month, and as promised, the world received that collaboration through “First Person Shooter.” The record was their first song together since the 2013 loosie “Jodeci Freestyle,” which eventually found a home on Drake’s 2019 compilation Care Package. “First Person Shooter” would go on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it turns out that it’s not the only collaboration Drake and J. Cole have for fans.

Drake and J. Cole will hit the road in 2024 for the It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? The tour, presented by Cash App and Visa and produced by Live Nation, will kick off on January 18 in Denver, Colorado, and continue for two months before concluding in Birmingham, Alabama on March 27. Cole will be present for all of the dates except the remaining four between March 14 and March 27 in Belmont Park, NY; State College, PA; Sunrise, FL; and Birmingham, AL.

Tickets for the It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? are available with a Cash App Card presale starting on Wednesday, November 15 at 11am local time. That presale, which lasts until November 16 at 10pm local time, can be unlocked by Cash App Card users who use the first nine digits of their Cash App Card to access the presale and complete a purchase with their Cash App Card. Drake’s Astroworld Deposition Was “Several Hours” Long, Details Have Yet To Surface

As one of the most recognized figures in the music industry, it’s not uncommon for Drake to run into legal issues. For the most part, the 36-year-old manages to stay out of trouble more than some of his contemporaries, though his performance at the 2021 Astroworld Festival with Travis Scott has been haunting him for the past two years. As his legal team previously argued, Champagne Papi had no part in planning the actual event, though he was on stage with La Flame during a massive crowd crush that caused 10 people to lose their lives two years ago.

“I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy,” Drake wrote on his Instagram Story shortly after the incident. “I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself, My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives, and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all,” the Canadian further empathized.

Drake Deposed Two Years After Astroworld Tragedy

According to Rolling Stone, yesterday (November 9), Drizzy finally sat down for a deposition regarding the 2021 Astroworld Festival that lasted “several hours.” Details about the “Over” hitmaker’s conversation with authorities are sparse for now. “Due to orders in the case, I don’t feel it is appropriate to comment on the matter,” Drake’s team told the outlet when they reached out.

Many already know that the legal process is a typically slow-moving one. Aside from Drake’s deposition just now finally taking place, Travis Scott also has new lawsuits naming him. The father of two wasn’t given criminal charges by a grand jury. However, he still has several civil cases that have yet to wrap up. So, it’s only natural that his clothing line with Nike, NOCTA, would eventually get a line of basketball apparel and gear, along with a campaign featuring NBA all-star Kevin Durant. Durant previously appeared in Drake’s “Laugh Now, Cry Later” video featuring Lil Durk, which was shot at Nike’s Oregon headquarters campus. J. Cole Said Drake Chose The ‘Song Over Competition’ On ‘First Person Shooter,’ But He Expects Revenge

Each emcee is vying for their chance to snatch the attention of the listening audience for the coveted yet ever-elusive crown of the best rapper. The ability to be ranked at the top of any profession is an accolade most would be willing to fight for, including “Passport Bros” rapper J. Cole.

Dreamville’s head honcho has made a habit of calling his peers — hell, even newcomers — out for a light, lyrical sparring match. Fans fueled his inner spark by deeming him the conqueror in a few big-name collaborations. His first career No. 1 record, the Drake collaboration “First Person Shooter,” is one example. According to J. Cole, although Drake ultimately chose the “song over the competition,” he expects revenge from the recording artist soon.

During an appearance on “The Secret Recipe” collaborator Lil Yachty’s podcast A Safe Place, he spoke about the public’s (including Joe Budden) favorable response to his verse.

“At that moment, [Drake] chose the song over the competition and what the public is going to say [about his performance],” Cole said. “Drake ain’t looking at it like, ‘I’m going to take Cole’s f*cking head off at some point.’ Don’t think he ain’t’ looking at it like, ‘Nah, we just gonna make the best song.’ No, he comes from that cloth. So… at some point in time, he going to want his lick back.”

Drake, under pressure, has created bangers in the past (i.e., “Back To Back”). Cole better keep his head on a swivel.

J. Cole Claims He Doesn’t Charge For Guest Verses

A J. Cole feature can mean a lot for any song these days. Two huge hits on the Hot 100 this year sport guest verses from the veteran rapper. He teamed up with Lil Durk for one of the longest-running rap hits of the year “All My Life.” He also recently scored his first number-one hit on the Hot 100 by teaming up with Drake on the track “First Person Shooter.” He’s lent legendary guest verses to Young Thug, 6LACK, JID, 21 Savage, Summer Walker, and many more.

You’d think that kind of success would mean his guest spots came at a high price. But Cole revealed in a new interview that he doesn’t actually charge anything for his features. He was asked about a bar he spit once where he claimed he’s paid $2000 per word for his features. But he clarified that it was just a lyric and that “I don’t even charge n*ggas for the verse.” In the comments, fans reacted to the revelation. “Ain’t no way he gave that Durk and yatchy verse for free He th real one fr,” one of the top comments reads. Last week, J. Cole announced the return of his beloved Dreamville Festival. The festival will be returning to Raleigh, North Carolina in April of 2024. While no lineup details have been announced yet, the fest normally attracts all types of high end rap talent. J. Cole Had Mixed Feelings About His Drake Collab ‘First Person Shooter’ Being His First No. 1 And Explained Why

J. Cole recently appeared on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast, where he opened up about how it felt getting his first No. 1. The achievement came from his “First Person Shooter” collaboration with Drake reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

“If it would’ve went No. 2 it wouldn’t have mattered,” J. Cole said. “I wouldn’t have felt no way. If the other song would’ve went No. 1, it’s like, bruh, I’m cool.”

“If that other song would’ve went No. 1, n****, I’m still grateful I’m a part of it,” he added, according to Vibe. “I wasn’t at home like, ‘Come on y’all! Pick up the streams, man! We gotta beat this motherf*cker’ Yeat! Come on!’… What got ‘First Person Shooter’ to No. 1 was me and [Drake’s] fans still buy iTunes singles… the digital actual sales of the song. I don’t know who’s still buying them b*tches but, you know, appreciate y’all.”

However, he also felt like maybe he wished it was his own song, rather than just a feature on a track from Drake’s For All The Dogs album. “I’d almost feel better not having my first No. 1 being off a Drake alley-oop, you know what I mean?” J. Cole explained.

By Drake reaching No. 1 as well with his song, he now ties Michael Jackson’s record for the most hit songs at 13.
