J. Cole’s Manager on Lack of Big Cities for Joint Tour with Drake: ‘Back to Markets We Use to Grind Through’

Drake Announces 2024 U.S. 'It’s All A Blur Tour - Big As The What?' with Special Guest J. Cole

Drake and J. Cole are getting ready to hit the road together as an extension of the It’s All a Blur tour. Subtitled, “Big As the What?” a nod to the “First Person Shooter” single, the two will begin the run in Denver.

What’s odd about the dates, the tour won’t touch Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago or even some Drake’s favorite spots like Memphis and Houston.

Responding to a fan, Cole’s manager and close friend Ibrahim “IB” Hamad revealed that this isn’t a major city run.

“The run is for the secondary market we don’t get to go to as much and do shows like how we use to,” Ib wrote.

In a separate tweet, he wrote: “Gotta pull back up to some of those markets we use to grind through on the come up. Can’t wait to see those cities again, been a minute.”

Drake is set to embark on his 2024 U.S. It’s All A Blur Tour – Big As The What? presented by Cash App and Visa, featuring Grammy-winning producer J. Cole on various dates. Produced by Live Nation, the tour starts with two shows in Denver on January 18 and 19, followed by stops in cities like Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Nashville, and more, concluding in Birmingham on March 27.

Following the success of his 2023 It’s All A Blur Tour with 50 sold-out shows, Drake’s latest tour accompanies the release of his eighth studio album, “For All The Dogs.” Cash App Cardholders can access an exclusive presale starting Nov. 15, with general sales beginning Nov. 17 at 11 am local time on drakerelated.com. This tour promises an unforgettable experience for fans, building on Drake’s legacy of chart-topping success and dynamic live performances.

Why Isn’t Drake & J. Cole’s Tour Coming To Some Major Cities?

Drake has been going hard this year. On top of his It’s All A Blur Tour, which he coheadlined with 21 Savage, Drake released his eighth studio album, For All The Dogs. While the album prompted some mixed reactions, fans seemed to love the J. Cole collaboration “First Person Shooter,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Next year, Drake will continue the story of It’s All A Blur, with the It’s All A Blur — The Big What? Tour. Over the course of three months, Drake will be joined by J. Cole for the It’s All A Blur — The Big What? Tour beginning in January. However, some fans have expressed disappointment as they aren’t visiting as many major cities as they Drake did for the first go-around of the tour.

Why isn’t Drake & J. Cole’s tour coming to some major cities?

While fans in New Orleans, Denver, and Nashville can look forward to seeing the two rap stars, cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas were noticeably missing from the list of tour dates. While Drake and 21 hit those cities on It’s All A Blur‘s first go around, fans were hoping to see them perform again.

J. Cole’s manager Ibrahim “IB” Hamad took to X (formerly Twitter) today to express sympathy toward fans, and offer an explanation as to why the tour isn’t hitting some major cities.

“I feel your pain but this is not a major city run, the run is for the secondary market we don’t get to go to as much and do shows like how we use to. All Love to DC though,” said IB.

The news is disappointing, however, understandable.

Tyler The Creator Kept Receipts, Calling Out His Camp Flog Gnaw Crowd For Booing Drake In 2019

Tyler The Creator clearly went to the Drake school of keeping receipts, because he certainly had one ready to go for the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival crowd during his Saturday set, reminding them that they booed Drake the last time the festival was held in 2019. During his performance of “Lumberjack” from Call Me If You Get Lost, Tyler changed the line “I hit Drizzy and told him I had a milli’ for him” to “I called Drizzy and you booed him last time” then called the crowd “assholes” before breaking down and laughing. The audience also had a chuckle at the not-so-subtle reminder.

The booing incident in 2019 was most likely caused by fans near the stage who had parked there early, hoping that the “mystery headliner” Tyler had been teasing would be Frank Ocean. And although the moment went viral and sparked a slew of memes (as Drake’s most embarrassing moments so often do), the majority of the crowd actually enjoyed his set, and both Tyler and Drake took the fumble in stride.

At the time, Tyler wrote on Twitter, “I thought bringing one of the biggest artist on the fucking planet to a music festival was fire… all jokes aside sh*t lowkey funny.” Meanwhile, Drake posted on Instagram, “Plot twist…just signed a 10 year residency at Camp Flog Gnaw sorry kids see you EVERY SINGLE YEAR till you are 30.”

Unfortunately, Flog Gnaw was forced to go on a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19, but returned this past weekend with another stacked lineup — this time, going off without a hitch, even if Tyler found another way to disappoint fans.

Billie Eilish Said She Was ‘Flattered’ By Lil Yachty Rapping About Her ‘Big Tits’ On Drake’s Album

After previously acknowledging Lil Yachty’s questionable lyrics about her, Billie Eilish finally let the public know how she felt about the rapper referencing her “big tits” on Drake’s new album.

On Drake’s “Another Late Night,” Lil Yachty raps, “She had big tits like Billie Eilish, but she couldn’t sing.” And while some fans were offended on her behalf, it doesn’t look like the singer is sweating it.

In a new interview with Variety, Eilish brushed off any appearance of offense at the tongue-in-cheek lyrics. “I think it’s fun!” she said. “I’m flattered! Yachty is my friend. Drake is my friend. It’s a joke. I do have big tits. I love it.”

The probable reason for the minor controversy is that Eilish has previously acknowledged in interviews that the attention she gets for her body can sometimes make her feel uncomfortable. In 2019, she explained that she wears baggy clothes to avoid such scrutiny, but in more recent years, she’s grown more comfortable dressing more traditionally feminine (for which she still received judgmental comments).

She addressed this in Variety as well, saying, “I have big boobs. I’ve had big boobs since I was nine years old, and that’s just the way I am. That’s how I look. You wear something that’s at all revealing, and everyone’s like, ‘Oh, but you didn’t want people to sexualize you?’” She scoffs and answers the trolls: “You can suck my ass! I’m literally a being that is sexual sometimes. F*ck you!”

How Much Will Drake & J. Cole’s ‘It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What?’ Tickets Be?

Drake

Drake fans might be experiencing whiplash this morning, November 13. Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage wrapped in early October at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, but it’s already time to gear up for Round 2. This morning, Drake and J. Cole announced their It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What?

Earlier this year, Cole and Drake co-headlined Dreamville Festival, and most recently, Drake’s “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole went No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — becoming Cole’s first-career No. 1 and Drake’s 13th-career No. 1 on the chart. In other words, a joint tour has been bubbling for a while. (Not to mention, the tour’s title is ripped from the “First Person Shooter” chorus.) Below is what we know about the joint 2024 North American tour (so far).

How Much Are Tickets For Drake and J. Cole’s It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? Tour?

This March, fans were displeased to see that tickets to Drake and 21 Savage’s It’s All A Blur Tour were marked as high as $1,000 during the presale. In August, Billboard additionally relayed that last-minute resale tickets could be had for anywhere from $262 to $800 and over $1,000. There’s no reason to believe that It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? tickets won’t be just as (if not more) expensive.

While resale sites like Ticketmaster and Vivid Seats already have tickets listed — a pre-order resale, if you will — we won’t know the official It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? ticket prices until the presale.

When Will Tickets Go On Sale, and How Do I Buy Them?

As per a press release, a presale for Cash App users is set to take place, beginning on Wednesday, November 15, at 11 a.m. local time and ending at Thursday, November 16, at 10 p.m. local time.

Instructions for the Cash App presale can be found here. Then, the general sale will happen here on Friday, November 17, at 11 a.m. local time.
