Math Hoffa Calls Out Kodak Black For 6ix9ine Collaboration

Math Hoffa slammed Kodak Black for working with 6ix9ine during an interview with VladTV on Saturday. When asked about the duo’s “Shaka Laka” track, Hoffa accused Kodak of selling out.

“Integrity for sale,” he remarked during the interview. “You put this image out there, and your art is a representation of you. I kinda agree with Boosie on this. You sold your ass for a million dollars.”

He continued: “Like, somebody could come to you with a price and probably have some fun with you in a dark room. You know what I mean? It’s fucked up. But if you stand for something, you stand on it. I don’t give a fuck what type of money is offered. You stand on it.” Check out the hip-hop commentator’s full take on Kodak Black and 6ix9ine below.

Math Hoffa Calls Out Kodak Black

Math Hoffa is far from the first person to take issue with Kodak Black working with 6ix9ine. Boosie Badazz took aim at the rapper on the final verse of his recent song, “Ungrateful.” On the track, he remarks that Kodak’s “street cred is gone” amongst further insults. Similarly, Maino also shared a disappointed, although unsurprised response to the song. “I’m just saying, I don’t think nobody cares,” Maino told Angela Yee on Way Up. “I mean, I’m not surprised at what no rapper does. When you’re talking about morals and principles that’s supposed to be based around a street code… I mean, listen, we’ve seen rappers do whatever they wanted to do, do things that they shouldn’t do. It don’t even matter to me at this point. Nobody cares. People gon’ do what they gon’ do, like, regardless. I ain’t even got no opinion about it, it’s whatever.”

Anderson .Paak Teases The Return Of NxWorries: “It’s Almost Time”

Anderson .Paak had a legendary 2016. Not only did he release his breakthrough album Malibu which contained the hit song “Come Down” early in the year, but he had a whole second project up his sleeve. That album was called Yes Lawd! and was a collaboration between .Paak and producer Knxwledge. Since then, .Paak’s star has grown exponentially and he scored some major hit songs alongside Bruno Mars. Knxwledge has continued being one of the most prolific beatmakers in hip-hop and worked with plenty of notable artists along the way.

Now, the pair are close to returning with a follow-up album to their 2016 breakthrough. This didn’t come from nowhere, as the duo have released two new songs in the past two years. Last year, they treated fans to their first new song since 2016, “Where I Go” which featured H.E.R. The R&B slow jam sees H.E.R and Anderson .Paak harmonizing beautifully and telling stories of love and lust. Back in May of this year, they followed it up with another new song “Daydreaming.” But a new Instagram post has fans buzzing as new music could be on the way very soon. Check out the post in question below.

Anderson .Paak Promises NxWorries Return

New singles weren’t the only thing teasing that NxWorries could be back very soon. Back in May, Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge announced a joint summer tour together. They played 16 different shows from May to July including a handful of festivals. Both artists have stayed busy independently as well. Anderson .Paak teamed up with Jay Rock and Latto for a new song called “Too Fast (Pull Over) back in July.

Knxwledge hasn’t released much new music of his own since 2020 but he has continued an impressive streak of collaborations with other rappers. Sexyy Red & Brent Faiyaz Link Up In The Studio

Studio pics are a double-edged sword; sometimes, they lead up to a hyped release, and other times they never end up happening. What’s more is that some of the session pairings that people get excited over are pretty predictable or no-brainers. No one’s surprised when two rappers of similar styles, popularity, or affiliations link up to cook; they’re just excited to hear it happen. In that same vein, R&B artists working with each other usually results in a blend that, although different for each artist, is basically just math. Moreover, that’s what makes Brent Faiyaz and Sexyy Red meeting in the booth so enticing: no one knows what on Earth they could cook up.

Still, that’s not to say it’s a revolutionary concept. The WASTELAND crooner is well-versed and connected in the rap sphere, and if there’s anyone who doesn’t care about genre labels, it’s Brent Faiyaz. On the other hand, Sexyy Red just exploded in the game, so experimentation and different lanes can surely follow. With that in mind, it’s very exciting to see that both creatives might dip into a wholly different lane, either for one or for both.

Brent Faiyaz & Sexyy Red Could Be Brewing Something Special

Furthermore, both artists have actually been hard at work releasing collaborations or preparing them. For example, Brent Faiyaz recently dropped the single “Moment Of Your Life” with Coco Jones, displaying some infectious chemistry and songwriting skills. On the other hand, Sexyy Red recently teased a team-up with Lil Durk for a remix, which should result in some invigorating energy and bombast. Maybe they will apply what they learned from each to this new process. Although things could be as simple as a feature in each other’s lane, it would be very interesting if they decide to make something fresher together.

Meanwhile, we can’t wait to see what kind of fanbase crossover this will create. Will we ever get to hear Brent let out a soft, sensual, and dreamy “SkeeYee!” adlib as the St. Louis spitter goes through her verse? Only time will tell. With that in mind, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Brent Faiyaz and Sexyy Red.

JID & Lil Yachty Offer Two-Track EP “Blakkboyz Present Half Doin Dope/Van Gogh”

JID and Lil Yachty are two artists who are known for operating within two different lanes. Firstly, the former is an incredible MC when it comes to rapping fast while also telling a story. Secondly, Yachty is mostly known for his ability to give you autotuned melodies and a mix of genres. However, he has proven himself to be quite the spitter when he wants to be. That said, it still felt pretty unlikely that these two would come through with a collaborative song or even a project.

However, they stunned fans this week when they revealed that they would drop two new tracks together. They are doing so under the duo name Blakkboyz, and fans are curious if this could lead to a new album. That said, they are testing the waters with these two songs. The first of these songs is called “Half Doin Dope” which features BabyTron. Moreover, they also came through with Van Gogh, which doesn’t have any other artists listed.

It makes for two dynamic songs that are bolstered by a BabyTron feature that has all of the personality you would expect. If you like these artists, you are going to have to give this a listen, immediately.

Drake Vibes To “GOD DID,” Showcases Yeat During Show

Drake’s been making his away around the U.S. and Canada with 21 Savage lately, on his “It’s All A Blur” tour. Since the tour kicked off at the beginning of July, it’s been making headlines for fan antics, new music updates, and celebrity guests. Some fans even speculate that the Canadian performer is previewing some of the features on his upcoming album by showcasing them on the tour. With that being said, those rumors remain unconfirmed. Lil Yachty, Lil Durk, and most recently, Yeat have popped up at his shows.

In a new clip, Drizzy is seen shouting out the 23-year-old artist as he’s highlighted on a jumbotron. “Aye, put the camera on this man right here,” he says. The moment happened at Drake’s stop in Seattle last night. Fans have been calling for a collaboration between the two of them for some time, and this has only added to the anticipation. At the end of last year, Yeat even said they’re “going to have some sh*t on the way.”

Drake And DJ Khaled Listen To “GOD DID”

Earlier this month, Drake gave Yeat another shoutout on his Instagram Story. He shared a screenshot from the artist’s “bigger thën everything” music video, adding the caption “Dialed In.” It’s safe to say that fans would appreciate an appearance from the masked rapper on For All The Dogs. Luckily, fans will find out soon whether or not he has a feature on the LP. “It’s not going to be that much longer,” Drake said of the drop at his recent performance.

In other Drake news, the artist recently got down to some DJ Khaled, as showcased in a clip shared by the DJ himself. The two of them are seen bobbing their heads to Lil Wayne’s verse on “GOD DID.” Drake appears to be really feeling the music. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Drake.

Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz Link Up With Usher, Sparking “ColleGrove 2” Hype

Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz met up with Usher to work on a new collaboration, fueling excitement for their long-awaited ColleGrove 2 project. In a clip circulating on social media with the album’s title as its caption, the three can be seen shooting what appears to be a music video.

In a mostly vacant studio space, the three make subtle gestures while engulfed in a blue hue. They’ve been teasing a sequel to their original 2016 effort for years at this point. Back in 2022, 2 Chainz confirmed they’ve been revving up on studio time together.

“We were in the studio together,” he told DJ Akademiks. “I think the last time we were in the studio together maybe twice. This time, we’ve been in the studio together multiple times working on this project. Whether going back in after we’ve done something or whatever.” He added: “I feel super excited about this fucking project because it don’t sound like nothing I’ve ever heard before. And doing something like that with Wayne, it’s welcoming, it’s warming and it’s going to be accepted.” Usher likely won’t be the only high-profile artist to appear on the project. Earlier this year, DJ Toomp confirmed he has a “wicked” collaboration with Wayne, Chainz, and Benny The Butcher on ColleGrove 2. “It’s a nice R&B sample, man, that I just put some cr*zy drums to and some extra pianos and shit. Yeah, it’s hard, it’s hard,” he told radio host B High ATL. Check out the video of Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz working on a video with Usher below.

Wayne and 2 Chainz released the first ColleGrove back in 2016. The album derives its title from a portmanteau of College Park, Georgia and Hollygrove, New Orleans. Due to label issues, the project was credited only as a 2 Chainz album with Wayne being a featured artist throughout.

Sauce Walka Wouldn’t Ever Work With 6ix9ine, Not Even For A Billion Dollars

Sauce Walka isn’t a big fan of 6ix9ine, just like a lot of other members of the rap community. However, it’s fair to say that a lot of the rainbow-haired rapper’s haters would switch up in a heartbeat for a big stack of cash. But the Houston MC isn’t like the other haters; he could get a billion-dollar offer and he still won’t record a single word for a collaboration. Moreover, Walka was recently on the Clearly Cultured podcast, and the hosts asked him if he would work with Tekashi for a million dollars. When he responded no, they raised the stakes, and he maintained his steadfast disapproval of the notion.

“I can’t do it, I can’t do it, I can’t do it” Sauce Walka told the show’s hosts. “Why would I go rap with this man when I can have a great time, a threesome and make a million in two, three months? I would’ve signed the record deal. One hundred million, a billion- I would not do it. I will not do no song with a person that told on somebody- that deliberately did this in front of the whole world and I have full information of this before. I know that you did this to the world and you represent this.”

Sauce Walka Would Turn Down A Billion Dollars To Not Work With 6ix9ine

Furthermore, another rapper who agrees with Sauce Walka in this regard is Soulja Boy, who got asked if he’d work with 6ix9ine on the It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper podcast. “N***a, hell no!” he exclaimed. “I ain’t doin’ no damn song with you, get the f**k outta here! Yeah, we can’t do no song with 6ix9ine, he know that! He not expectin’ to get a Soulja Boy verse, he know that. It’s a wrap.

“It ain’t got nothin’ to do with me,” Big Draco continued. “We ain’t never did a song before, why we gon’ do one now? Why now though? You could’ve did that when you first came out, the year after you came out… it’s too late! It’s way too late.” For more news and the latest updates on 6ix9ine and Sauce Walka, keep checking in with HNHH.

Sexyy Red & Sukihana Get Raunchy On High-Energy Single “Hood Rats”

Sexyy Red is someone who has been having a huge moment in the game right now. Overall, a lot of this is thanks to her song “Pound Town” and her album Hood Hottest Princess. In fact, her success has been so impressive that Drake added her to his tour. At this point in time, there is nothing that can stop her. This is Sexyy Red’s world, and we are all just along for the ride. Although, this is not a bad thing by any stretch, as her charisma and ability to craft catchy songs have been infectious to watch.

Over the course of the last week or so, the artist has been teasing a new song with her good friend Sukihana. Of course, Sukihana has also been making some huge waves online. In many respects, Sexyy and Suki are very similar in their subject matter. However, that doesn’t mean they are the same. They take different approaches to punchlines, while Suki also seems more into the shock value of her bars. Well, today, the two dropped their new song “Hood Rats” and it certainly lives up to their reputations.

Pusha T On Releasing A New Clipse Project: “I Really Would Love To”

Pusha T says that he’s very interested in releasing a new Clipse album alongside his brother, No Malice. He discussed the idea during a recent interview with PEOPLE. The comments come after Pusha and No Malice debuted a new collaboration at Pharrell’s first fashion show as creative director of Louis Vuitton, earlier this year.

“I really would hope so,” Push told the outlet while discussing the possibility of a new Clipse project. “I really would love to, man, I really would love to. At this point I feel like we’ve been in a space a lot together lately, and in those spaces the creativity’s just been flowing.”

“So that’s where you get songs like you heard at the [Louis Vuitton] fashion show. Really what we’ve been doing a lot of it is just contributing with our friends,” Pusha added during the interview. “Like, ‘OK, Pharrell’s a creative director of LV, he needs music for the show.’ How would we not show up for that? How would me and my brother not show up for a Nigo album? I think the creativity between us and just the collective of the family that everybody knows where this started from, is something that you can’t just stop.”

Clipse released their last album, Til the Casket Drops, in 2009; however, they’ve collaborated on a handful of occasions in recent years. When they debuted a new song during Paris Fashion Week, Pusha T started a feud with Dipset rapper Jim Jones. Jones responded to the diss with a track of his own shortly afterward, but Pusha has yet to continue the back and forth. He is currently on tour in Europe. Be on the lookout for further information on Clipse’s next album on HotNewHipHop.

50 Cent Wants Lil Wayne Collab To Finally Happen

Back in the 2000s, there was a lot of rap beef going down, but also a lot of star-powered crossovers and collaborations. That’s true of hip-hop in any era, but after about 30 years in the music sphere, the genre was bigger than ever before [ironically, on the date of this article’s publishing, hip-hop celebrates its 50th birthday]. Leading the charge, among a couple of others, were two key figures in their respective scenes that became indelibly influential. Moreover, 50 Cent brought a new brand of glossy grit and gangster glamour to New York, capturing generations of listeners with ease. On the other hand, there was Lil Wayne out of New Orleans, expanding the caliber of Southern rap’s lyrical prowess and release dominance.

With that in mind, it’s wild to think that these two leaders of their time- that still lead today- never collaborated. Furthermore, that’s something that the G-Unit mogul wants to change. During an interview with the Capital XTRA Breakfast show to celebrate hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, co-hosts Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie asked their special guest co-host Curtis Jackson asked him for any artists from its history that he wants to work with. “I didn’t do one with Wayne… He’s one of the ones,” 50 Cent replied.

Lil Wayne Is One Of 50 Cent’s Dream Collaborations

“People don’t know [that] I was on the Cash Money Ruff Ryders Tour,” he continued, “before they opened the curtain.” While their sounds are distinct enough from each other, they also have a lot of crossover appeal and similarities as MCs. Just imagine 50 Cent’s trademark low rasp matched up against Weezy’s nasal, eccentric flow. With new albums on the way from the two, maybe Lil Wayne drops everything and gets Fif to hop on Tha Carter VI. If not, even a random single release from them would be enough to light the community ablaze with excitement and satisfaction.

Meanwhile, given 50’s recent track record, this link-up doesn’t sound improbable at all. After all, he recently collaborated on wax with Nas for the first time in about twenty years. Legends forge their own path, but in the collaborative and competitive spirit of the genre, crossing them will only make them that much better. On that note, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on 50 Cent and Lil Wayne. Also, happy 50th birthday, hip-hop!
