Megan Thee Stallion & Winnie Harlow’s Alleged Fight Sparks Debate On “The Breakfast Club”

Megan Thee Stallion and Winnie Harlow were both topics on the latest episode of The Breakfast Club after Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked reported on his podcast that the two got into an altercation during Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July party, earlier this year. The morning show discussed the validity of the story as well as who would’ve won in that fight.

“Everybody keeps asking me to release the tea on Megan that I said I was going to release… she got in a fight with Winnie Harlow at Michael rubin’s party,” Lee said on his show. “I don’t have all the full details yet and I’m waiting on the video but I’ve texted Megan and Winnie so there you go.”

As for The Breakfast Club. Charlamagne Tha God began by downplaying the likelihood of a fight having actually happened. “Don’t you think you would’ve heard rumblings about that before?” he asked. From there, the group joked that Megan would’ve won easily if the fight had happened. Eventually, Envy chimed in to say that a source messaged him to reveal that the two got into a loud argument, but didn’t actually come to blows.

“The Breakfast Club” Discusses Winnie Harlow & Megan Thee Stallion

When Hollywood Unlocked shared the clip on Instagram, fans had mixed responses. “I surprisingly believe this because I have met Winnie before and she was absolutely so rude. She was someone I once admired,” one user wrote. Another added: “Jason is obsessed with Megan!! Ever since she turned down an interview with him!!” Another brought up the news that Lee recently won an election to become a city councilman. “Didn’t Jason Lee just get elected for council men? And he still out here being messy,” they wrote. Check out The Breakfast Club’s full discussion of Winnie Harlow and Megan Thee Stallion below.

Charlamagne Tha God Explains Why Drake Never Truly Lost To Kendrick Lamar

Charlamagne Tha God says Drake can make the argument that he never truly lost his battle with Kendrick Lamar. Discussing the viral feud with his Brilliant Idiots co-host Andrew Schulz, Charlamagne explained that Drake went against far more opponents than just Lamar.

“He’s got the perfect out to say he won the battle, even though we all know he lost,” he began. “He never engaged with Kendrick one on one except for ‘The Heart Part 6.’ ‘Push Ups’ was more than one person. The ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ was him telling Kendrick, ‘Come on. Come with it, come with it, come with it.’ ‘Family Matters’ he talks about a bunch of different rappers. ‘Heart Part 6’ is the one where he really just talked to Kendrick directly. So, all you gotta do is say ‘I beat 20 people by myself.’”

When DJ Akademiks reposted the video on Instagram, fans had mixed reactions in the comments section. One Drake fan wrote: “Without Drake, these dudes have nothing to talk about. There savior Size 7 don’t give them nothing to talk about.” A fan of Lamar countered: “Why people keep saying 20.. like 4-5 people said something. Ross made a song no1 talks about and ONLY Kendrick went back and forth keep pushing that mysterious ’20’ narrative.”

Charlamagne Shares His Take On The Drake-Kendrick Lamar Feud

It’s not the first time Charlamagne has made headlines this month for speaking on Drake. He previously theorized that the Toronto rapper is “hurting” after his viral speech on betrayal and fake friends. Big Sean Reveals What Is Keeping Him Out Of Big Three Conversations

Big Sean’s latest interview with The Breakfast Club‘s Charlamagne tha God is generating quite a bit of buzz. During their chat, they divulge in numerous topics, with perhaps the biggest surrounding him and Kendrick Lamar’s relationship. However, there is another section that is causing some debate amongst the viewers. Over each decade of hip-hop, you can point to three artists who have defined their respective periods. The one that gets perhaps the most traction is for the 2010s. Most throw in Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole in there, something that each MC has addressed several times as of late.

Other names you can debate are Future, Travis Scott, and Kanye West. The former of those names is someone that Charlamagne is willing to create a “Fantastic Four” for. Additionally, he tells Sean that the aforementioned “Big Three” is essentially unanimous, to which Sean rebuttals that he hears his moniker thrown around in those conversations. Additionally, though, the Detroit rapper can understand where people, including Charlamagne, are coming from. He cites that his “consistency” really isn’t there, mentioning how he hasn’t dropped an album in almost four years. Although, that dry spell will be ending on August 9 when Sean comes out with Better Me Than You.

Big Sean Notes “Consistency” Is Holding Him Back From “Big Three” Status

While the “Precision” rapper does show some humility, he does make clear that he can hang with the best of them on any track. He boldly mentions his verses on two Kendrick Lamar collabs, “Control” and DJ Khaled’s “Holy Key”, as his biggest flexes. In fact, he even claims he made sure he put together the stronger performance on the latter. This prompted fans to react. “He didn’t have a better verse on holy key though lol”, one user on X says. Overall, there were some fans that put Sean in the same air as three aforementioned pillars of the past decade and some that don’t. Maybe, though, he can convince the critics next Friday.

What are your thoughts on Big Sean knowing that he isn’t in the big three conversations like Drake, Kendrick, and Cole? Do you think he belongs in these debates, why or why not? Can his next album catapult him back toward the top of the heap if not? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Big Sean. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

Megan Thee Stallion Shades Charlamagne Over Arena Criticism

Megan Thee Stallion has had one success after another in 2024. She scored a number one single with her diss, “HISS,” she won her court case against Tory Lanez, and she’s been killing it on tour. In fact, the rapper recently set the record for highest-attended show at Madison Square Garden by a female rapper. Megan Thee Stallion is A-list, and she took time out from her busy schedule to show love to her fans on Instagram. She also found time to address some criticisms that have been leveled at her in recent weeks. Particularly those made by Charlamagne Tha God.

Megan posted a list of her favorite things that happened on tour. They ranged from getting flowers to performing alongside her backup dancers. The point that immediately jumped out, though, was a not so veiled dig at Charlamagne. “Ima pop my sh*t for a second lol,” she wrote. “But people questioned if I was an arena artist anddd I mean [shrug emoji] teehee.” She doesn’t mention Charlamagne by name, but he’s clearly the target, given the doubt he cast on Megan’s stardom back in May. He flat out claimed that she wasn’t an “arena artist” and his co-hosts agreed. “I mean, if she’s doing arenas, she shouldn’t be doing arenas,” he stated. “She’s not an arena artist. Salute to Megan Thee Stallion but she’s not an arena artist, maybe a theater artist. But not yet.”

Megan Thee Stallion Proved That She’s An “Arena Artist”

The comment generated a wave of backlash, though, with many claiming that Charlamagne was not giving the rapper her due. To Charlamagne’s credit, he retracted his statement. A day after his “not an arena artist” comment was made, he apologized to Megan and her fans. “Clearly we got our answers,” he stated. “She sold out 13 arena stops in over 240K tickets across North America and Europe. Yeah so if you’re selling out arenas, you’re an arena artist.” Charlamagne’s Breakfast Club co-host, Jess, then urged fans to keep supporting Megan Thee Stallion.

Megan is used to the doubt. The rapper told L’OFFICIEL that she struggled mightily with the criticisms she received after the Tory Lanez case, in particular. “I felt so awful every day,” she stated. “It was such a hard place to get out of. I don’t even want to care who hates me, really. What I should be focusing on is the love that I do receive. That’s what I’m trying to get better about now.” Megan’s latest Instagram post is clearly an example of new focus. She may have thrown shade at Charlamagne, but she made sure to bring it back to her fans. “I have more people to thank and more moments to make,” she concluded. “But I love everyone who has been making this tour amazing so far! Thank you.”

Charlamagne Tha God On Diddy’s Allegations: “The Issue Is Patriarchy”

Charlamagne Tha God discussed the series of allegations Diddy is facing as well as the new video of him abusing Cassie in 2016 during an appearance on The View on Wednesday. Promoting his new book, Get Honest or Die Lying, Charlamagne discussed the role the patriarchy plays in enabling domestic violence to take place.

“The issue is domestic violence. The issue is exactly what I said about men not going to do the proper work on themselves and they’re dealing with a lot of pain and a lot of hurt and a lot of unhealed trauma,” he said. “And they’re projecting that pain and that hurt onto other people. The issue is patriarchy, right. As long as you have a system where men feel superior to women and they’re dealing with that pain and they’re dealing with that hurt, we’re going to continue to project that onto our women.”

Charlamagne continued: “But right now as I’m talking, there’s a woman out there getting beat up by a man and she’s not going to get [any] news coverage. Nobody’s going to talk about her.” CNN was the first to publish the footage of Diddy attacking Cassie. The Bad Boy mogul apologized for the incident in the following days with a video on social media. He explained that he began going to therapy afterward and is working on bettering himself. “I went and I sought out professional help, I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry,” he said in part.

DJ Akademiks And Charlamagne Tha God Debate “6:16 In LA”

The rap world is once again reacting and in some cases over-reacting to the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef. It’s only been a few days since Kendrick dropped “euphoria” and fans are still picking apart all the lyrical detail. This morning, Kendrick surprise dropped yet another challenge in a new diss track called 6:16 In LA.” Fans are already trying to dissect the meaning of 6:16 and even breaking down the various samples and producers used in the song. Unsurprisingly, DJ Akademiks and Charlamagne felt the need to sit down and unpack where the beef currently stands after the new track.

When Ak asked Charlamagne a pretty simple question of who is currently coming out on top, he gave a diplomatic answer. “If you can be an objective hop hop fan who enjoys really good lyrics bars you have to say you are impressed with what both Drake and Kendrick have done thus far” Charlamagne responds. He goes onto explain that even if you believe one MC is in the lead, it shouldn’t be by much. Fans are still hoping that Drake eventually responds with a diss track entirely focused on Kendrick, as his previous release “Push Ups” was focused on numerous adversaries. Check out AK and Charlamagne’s conversation below.

They also uncovered that regular Taylor Swift producer Jack Antonoff has a production credit on the song. That follows after Drake brought Swift into the discussion with his Taylor Made Freestyle that dropped last month.

Charlamagne Tha God Argues The Clock Is Ticking For Kendrick Lamar After Drake’s “Push Ups”

Charlamagne Tha God says that the clock is ticking for Kendrick Lamar to respond to Drake and that “Push Ups” was an impressive counter to Lamar’s “Like That” verse. Speaking about the beef on The Breakfast Club on Monday, Charlamagne argued that Drake did something Kendrick never had with his song.

“First of all, I was highly, highly impressed by ‘Push Ups.’ Drake delivered a top-tier response to everything that was going on and this is coming from an OG veteran Drake hater,” Charlamagne admitted. “I love the record. He delivered. He did what he was supposed to do and he went further than Kendrick has ever gone. Because Kendrick has been throwing shots at Drake for years with very blatant subliminals, but Drake aimed right at Kendrick and said, ‘Okay, if this is what you want, then you got it.’”

Charlamagne concluded: “So right now, Kendrick’s on the clock. Kendrick is all the way on the clock. Drake gave Kendrick his ‘Takeover’ and now Kendrick has to deliver his ‘Ether’ if he got it.” Drake waited several weeks to respond to Lamar’s verse; however, numerous other artists came forward to shade him throughout that time. He addressed The Weeknd, Rick Ross, Metro Boomin, and more on “Push Ups” as well.

Pardison Fontaine Discusses Cause Of Megan Thee Stallion Split

Pardison Fontaine says that dishonesty was a primary cause for his breakup with Megan Thee Stallion. He discussed their relationship during an appearance on The Breakfast Club, Wednesday, revealing that he will always “wish her the best.”

“There’s a laundry list of reasons that could’ve caused us to be apart,” Fontaine began. When pressed as to whether he still has feelings for her, he added: “Listen, I’m a person that believes love doesn’t go away. It changes. And that’s another thing I’ve stated. I’ll always want well for her. I’m not a person that wants bad for her. I’m not out here calling her all types of such and such. I’ve never even discussed some of the things on that song with my closet friends. When the song came out, people was like, ‘Yo, that? This happened?’ I never ever once would talk bad about her to anyone. I do wish her the best.”

I don’t know if it made us break apart, but it definitely took a blow to me.” While he remained vague, there have been many rumors as to what caused the split. Funk Flex Blasts Charlamagne Tha God For Sexual Assault Allegations

Two radio hosts are as caught up in their beef as ever, with one taking advantage of the other’s skeletons in the closet. Moreover, Funk Flex recently took to Instagram to once again call out a rival in the media space: Charlamagne Tha God. Specifically, this call-out revolves around The Breakfast Club host’s sexual assault accusations, dating back to an alleged 2001 incident. Furthermore, the Hot 97 icon caught wind of an April 2023 news story covering how Charlamagne wants to dismiss the legal filing altogether. The real story behind it isn’t exactly what Flex is assuming, but it’s nonetheless a jab.

“UMMMMM?” Funk Flex captioned a screenshot of the aforementioned Charlamagne Tha God article. “YOU CAUGHT ANOTHER (NEW) LAWSUIT APRIL 21, 2023? I DONT THINK U SETTLED THAT? @cthagod (AND YOU CALLING PEOPLE PATHETIC?) LET YOUR LAWYER KNOW I CAN TALK ABOUT THIS CAUSE VIBE MAG ALREADY DID?” In reality, this news piece covers the years-long case from Jessica Reid against Charlamagne, so it’s not technically a new lawsuit. Still, the battle continues to develop, with new information emerging from it every so often.

Charlamagne Tha God Called Out By Funk Flex

For example, he denied any and all accusations of battery, defamation, and sexual assault against Jessica Reid at a 2001 party, the charges that make up the lawsuit. Charlamagne Tha God and his team pointed out that the DNA from the assault kit doesn’t match his own in the case in a recent filing, supposedly proving his innocence. “[Reid] has persisted in broadly disseminating her unsubstantiated claims,” the documents read according to the VIBE report in question. “[She ignores] that the South Carolina Solicitor in 2018 declined her request to re-open the case due to a lack of evidence while confirming that no basis existed to bring sexual assault charges against Charlamagne.” “Witnesses had attested to the fact that Charlamagne had already left the party when the alleged assault occurred,” his lawyer elaborated.

“We are confident that Ms. Reid’s meritless civil lawsuit in which she represents herself will be promptly dismissed,” Charlamagne’s attorney stated. “This is the same sexual assault claim that was fully investigated and dismissed by authorities in South Carolina more than 21 years ago.” We’ll see if there’s anything more to uncover in this case. Check back in with HNHH for more updates and the latest news on Funk Flex and Charlamagne Tha God.

DJ Akademiks Blasts Charlamagne, Gillie Da Kid, And Wallo

If there’s one thing DJ Akademiks is always going to do, it’s speak his mind with confidence, regardless of how the world perceives it. Back in the spring, he took a lot of heat for publicly slandering Yung Miami, but as we move into summer, the media personality has some new targets who are feeling his wrath. During a recent live stream, Ak specifically called out Charlamagne, Gillie Da Kid, and Wallo for failing to reciprocate a guest appearance on his Off The Record podcast.

“This liquor gon’ get me talking some s**t I’ve never talked,” the embattled blogger told viewers after admitting he broke open a bottle of Casamigos shortly after 7 AM. “Wack 100 connected me with Gillie and Wallo,” he began, sharing that the duo expressed interest in recording an episode with him. Akademiks agreed and made an appearance on their show. However, seven months later, he’s still struggling to get them on his. Afterward, he moved on to slander Charlamagne’s similar behaviour before praising Joe Budden as someone he has a relationship full of mutual respect with.

DJ Akademiks Gets Some Things Off His Chest

According to the podcaster, the circle of those he trusts within the industry is small. Apart from Budden, others he considers as solid collaborators include DJ Vlad and Adam22. Elsewhere in the stream, Akademiks addressed Drake’s failure to reply to his request for free It’s All A Blur concert tickets, revealing that he spent an astounding $30K on tickets to see the Canadian lyricist later this summer.

While DJ Akademiks stays busy seemingly trying to ignite some drama with Charlamagne, The Breakfast Club host is pusy concerning himself with another ongoing feud. He recently shared his thoughts on the beef unfolding between Pusha T and Jim Jones, which became even more intense with the arrival of the latter’s diss track this past weekend.
