DJ Envy Fires Back At Rick Ross Over Car Show

DJ Envy responded to Rick Ross’ recent diss during an episode of The Breakfast Club on Friday. The two have both been feuding as they host rival car shows in the coming weeks. Ross called out the radio host on his Instagram Story, earlier this week.

“Let’s be honest right. Rick Ross. You Airbnb your home!” Envy wrote in response. “The house that you sleep in! Eddie Murphy slept in your bed. They shot Coming to America and made Eddie Murphy milk your bed.” Envy later shared the remarks on Instagram, adding details about his car show in the caption.

He continued on the show: “I’m not that guy that’s going to charge somebody $500 to get in because I couldn’t sleep with myself. If you go through mine, they’re quality. Think about it. I haven’t said anything. You started with Drink Champs… that just tells me your ticket sales are not doing well.”

As for Ross’ comments, he remarked on his IG Story: “Since we on our car show, DJ Envy, you’ll never be on my level. For one, you do car shows with rappers and my dead homies. So what you doing in Memphis, that’s for Dolph and I believe Dolph legacy should live on. But make sure every penny you make, you donate to Dolph family. You see that [pointing to a custom rug with Dolph’s face]. I been had that Dolph rug made, Ricky Rozay, so that’s what it’s about And Envy, don’t nobody build cars to come to your car show. Don’t nobody drive from out of state to come to your car show, Envy. Da Beige Rage. You see? But make sure them people got everything they need, Envy. And Memphis, y’all better hold Envy to it.”

Ross also recently had his permit denied for his upcoming car and bike show. The permit was refused due to it not being “in compliance with Fayette County Zoning Ordinance.” He didn’t let this stop him, however, reacting to the refusal in an Instagram message to followers. “Breaking news, the Rick Ross Car Show June 3 goes on,” he said. Adding, “It’s a private event on private property with VIPs and you’re invited. Tickets are still available online. It’s going to be a beautiful event. Shoutout to the beautiful city of Fayetteville.”

Following the permit’s denial he also declared that he wants to run for mayor of Fayetteville. He shared on his Instagram story, “I love Fayetteville so much. Next year I’m running for mayor.” “That’s right,” he added, “The boss Rick Ross running for mayor of Fayetteville.” He went on to say, “I wanna know how many votes did it actually take to vote in the mayor of Fayetteville. I need to know that ‘cause we gon’ become that. We gon’ make that happen, and we gonna have a good time. We gon’ give some people opportunities, we gon’ give some people raises and, of course, we gon’ have to clean some people out.”

Rick Ross has revealed that he intends to run for Mayor of Fayetteville after feuding with the city council over his car show. Despite his application for a permit to host the car show being denied, Ross still insists that the show will go on as planned.

“I love Fayetteville so much. Next year I’m running for mayor,” Ross said on his Instagram Story, Tuesday. “That’s right. The boss Rick Ross running for mayor of Fayetteville. I wanna know how many votes did it actually take to vote in the mayor of Fayetteville. I need to know that ‘cause we gon’ become that. We gon’ make that happen, and we gonna have a good time. Ross further confirmed that he plans to go ahead with his car show on June 3. “Breaking news, the Rick Ross Car Show June 3 goes on. It must go on,” Ross said in more clips from his Instagram Story.

He continued: “It’s a private event on private property with VIPs and you’re invited. Tickets still available online. It’s going to be a beautiful event. Shoutout to the beautiful city of Fayetteville. This when I become great during the challenges. That’s what I like. That’s why I was always one to initiate certain things because I love the challenge. I don’t have a problem going against the challenges because Ricky Rozay ready. Is it really a challenge?”

As for Ross’ neighbors, they complained to the Fayette County Board of Commissioners in April about the annual car show. They argued that the event brings traffic in the small neighborhood to a complete standstill, as noted by WSB-TV.

Rick Ross Reacts To Officials Denying Car & Bike Show Event Permit: “It Must Go On”

Rick Ross won’t take no for an answer. As the Biggest Boss has been busy preparing for his upcoming annual car and bike show, his plans have been hit with a major roadblock. Documents obtained by XXL on Tuesday (May 16) reveal that his permit has been denied by Fayette County, who are prohibiting him from hosting the event at his Georgia mansion on June 3. The specific reason for the denial is that the permit “is not in compliance with Fayette County Zoning Ordinance.”

“Any decision to allow the 2022 event to move forward as a conditional use in the A-R Zoning District was made outside of the scope of authority of the then acting Director of Planning & Zoning/ Zoning Administrator,” the document further states. Ross has been talking about the event non-stop (particularly during his recent Drink Champs interview) and clearly isn’t letting the bureaucratic rain ruin his parade. He took to his Instagram Story this afternoon, letting fans know he has no plans of cancelling.

Rick Ross Responds to Denied Event Permit

“Breaking news, the Rick Ross Car Show June 3 goes on,” the Richer Than I Ever Been artist declared hours ago. “It’s a private event on private property with VIPs and you’re invited. Tickets are still available online. It’s going to be a beautiful event. Shoutout to the beautiful city of Fayetteville.” Rather than letting the denial get him down, the Mississippi-born lyricist is embracing the challenges coming his way as he moves forward.

“This when I become great during the challenges. That’s what I like. That’s why I was always one to initiate certain things because I love the challenge. I don’t have a problem going against the challenges because Ricky Rozay ready. Is it really a challenge?” he asked followers tuning in. Rick Ross On “Drink Champs”: Biggest Boss Talks Past Beef, Upcoming Car Show, And More

N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN have had an incredible string of guests on their Drink Champs podcast over the past few weeks. Wiz Khalifa, Jadakiss, and Robin Thicke have all dropped by the studio to enjoy some drinks and answer burning questions, though none of them come close to topping today’s star – Rick Ross. This isn’t the Mississippi-born artist’s first appearance on the REVOLT series, but they have certainly stepped their game up since his last visit three years ago. Since then, Rozay has also stepped his game up, which he made sure to talk about in his latest interview.

Spanning over two-and-a-half hours, the Richer Than I Ever Been artist touched on a variety of hot topics during his second Drink Champs stint. Among them were his business ventures with companies like Wingstop (where he recently encouraged Don Lemon to apply), as well as his past beef, childhood inspiration, and upcoming car show. Speaking of the latter, Ross made it clear that he’s not looking at DJ Envy’s quickly approaching event of a similar nature as competition. Rather, he supports The Breakfast Club‘s endeavour to raise money for the family left behind by the late Young Dolph.

Rick Ross Returns to Drink Champs

“Envy was never on my level to battle,” the 47-year-old playfully teased when comparing their two events. “I wouldn’t do that to Envy. I like Envy and I f**k with Envy, but in the car game he not ready for that, but I support that shit,” Ross clarified. The New Yorker’s car show is scheduled to take place the weekend before the Biggest Boss’, which will also include a performance from him and Lil Wayne.

The father of four is obviously excited about his big day, but some of his neighbours have made it abundantly clear they’re not on the same page. A few weeks back, a group put forth a motion in hopes of shutting the multihyphenate down. As iHeart notes, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners heard the concerned citizens out but has not made moves to cancel the car show at this time. Check out Rick Ross’ full Drink Champs appearance above, and let us know who you want Noreaga and DJ EFN to interview next in the comments.

Rick Ross Responds As Neighbors Try To Shut Down His Car Show

Rick Ross has responded to reports that his neighbors are trying to shut down his car show. The Maybach Music Group founder addressed the complaints during a video on his Instagram Story, over the weekend.

“I wouldn’t even feel right if they wasn’t boycotting,” he said while adding that he “never got nothing easy.” He continued: “It was never handed to me… I would be confused if they wasn’t boycotting the boss.” Users had mixed responses to Ross’ defense. “All his neighbors old heads.. they want quiet and peace around their homes,” one fan commented. “Not over 6500 folks bringing that noise, traffic and raquet to their block.” Another joked, “I guess it is another level of wealth when you don’t need to have neighbors.”

WSB-TV reports that Ross’ neighbors previously went to the Fayette County Board of Commissioners in Georgia to complain that last year’s car show brought dead-stop traffic in the area. During a board meeting, several community members revealed that they’ve already signed petitions to have the event shut down. “I have the petitions here that we signed,” one person told the board. “We feel locked out. It took me 40 minutes to get out of my subdivision,” one homeowner told the publication.

It isn’t the first time that Ross has had trouble with his neighbors. Back in March, some of the rapper’s buffaloes wandered into a neighbor’s yard. “To everybody that’s wanting a statement or response for my bulls, my cows, couple buffaloes that got away in the community, this is my response,” he said at the time. “I always return stray animals. Make sure you always keep a collar on your animals. Mine don’t have a collar cause’ you know, its mine so when you see my buffalo, give it a carrot. Give it a apple. They so kind, they so peaceful.” Check out Ross’ latest response below.
