Nicki Minaj’s Neighbors Petition To Kick Her Out Due To Husband’s Crimes

Nicki Minaj may be getting a lot of hype for her “Barbie World” single with Ice Spice, but she has a new and more pressing issue to handle: her home. Moreover, those in the Hidden Hills community in Los Angeles (where Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty bought a $19.5 million mansion last December) want them kicked out due to Petty’s sex offender status. For those unaware, he failed to register as one in California (and is serving one year of home detention as a result), although he is registered in New York. Furthermore, resident Beverly Bardan started a change.org petition titled “SAY NO TO SEX OFFENDERS IN HIDDEN HILLS.” Signed residents believe Petty has a high chance of reoffending and his presence will devalue the area’s homes.

“Kenneth Petty is a level 3 sex offender, convicted for the attempted rape of a 16 year old girl, and has a high likelihood to reoffend,” states the petition. “He was also found guilty for killing a man. He is currently under house arrest for failing to register as a sex offender in California as law demands it. The Petty couple moving in would lead to appraisal value of our homes to go DOWN due to safety concerns. It would lead to children and women being a target.”

“We, the residents of Hidden Hills, must put our resident’s safety first,” it continued. “Don’t wait to receive a letter from the government saying a predator has moved in near you. DO NOT allow this dangerous sex offender to live near you, SHOW that you are against sex offenders in our Hidden Hills neighborhood!”

Meanwhile, Petty- who fathered Papa Bear with the rap star- served over four years in prison for first-degree attempted assault at age 16. When authorities arrested him in 2020 for failing to register as a sex offender in California, they sentenced him to three years of probation and one of home detention, plus a $55,000 fine. However, prosecutors wanted prison time and supervised release, since he owns luxury homes that aren’t exactly horrible to stay in. Amid other legal issues, the couple is facing an uphill battle to forego these past crimes. For more news and the latest updates on Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty, check back in with HNHH.

Rick Ross Responds As Neighbors Try To Shut Down His Car Show

Rick Ross has responded to reports that his neighbors are trying to shut down his car show. The Maybach Music Group founder addressed the complaints during a video on his Instagram Story, over the weekend.

“I wouldn’t even feel right if they wasn’t boycotting,” he said while adding that he “never got nothing easy.” He continued: “It was never handed to me… I would be confused if they wasn’t boycotting the boss.” Users had mixed responses to Ross’ defense. “All his neighbors old heads.. they want quiet and peace around their homes,” one fan commented. “Not over 6500 folks bringing that noise, traffic and raquet to their block.” Another joked, “I guess it is another level of wealth when you don’t need to have neighbors.”

WSB-TV reports that Ross’ neighbors previously went to the Fayette County Board of Commissioners in Georgia to complain that last year’s car show brought dead-stop traffic in the area. During a board meeting, several community members revealed that they’ve already signed petitions to have the event shut down. “I have the petitions here that we signed,” one person told the board. “We feel locked out. It took me 40 minutes to get out of my subdivision,” one homeowner told the publication.

It isn’t the first time that Ross has had trouble with his neighbors. Back in March, some of the rapper’s buffaloes wandered into a neighbor’s yard. “To everybody that’s wanting a statement or response for my bulls, my cows, couple buffaloes that got away in the community, this is my response,” he said at the time. “I always return stray animals. Make sure you always keep a collar on your animals. Mine don’t have a collar cause’ you know, its mine so when you see my buffalo, give it a carrot. Give it a apple. They so kind, they so peaceful.” Check out Ross’ latest response below.

Rick Ross’ Neighbors Are Trying To Kill His Car Show

Rick Ross loves cars. Last year, he started a car show on the grounds of his mansion in Georgia. Winners of the show walked away with a diamond-encrusted key. General reports suggested it was attended by at least 6000 people. However, some estimates place it at closer to 6500. Many famous faces and car enthusiasts were in attendance at the event last May.

This year, Ross wanted the event to be even bigger. The prize keys were bigger. Lil Wayne was scheduled to perform. He was hoping to top the 6500+ attendees from last year. However, it appears that not everyone in the Fayetteville area is a fan. It appears that some of his neighbors are trying to get the festival shut down ahead of its June 3 hosting.

Rick Ross’ Neighbors File A Petition Against Car Show

“I have the petitions here that we signed,” one neighbor said at an April 25 Fayette County Board of Commissioners meeting. Another neighbor testified that “Our quality of life was unnecessarily compromised.” Their claims stem from accounts that last year’s event brought traffic in the area to a stop, and caused major delays for residences. June 3 is a Saturday, meaning that if were to go ahead, the event could cause delays to people’s weekend plans. However, it is also something of a buzzkill move to go after what Ross is allowed to do on his property. Fayetteville is home to around 19,000 people. A southern migration has benefitted the town greatly, almost doubling the population from where it was in 2000.

“We feel locked out. It took me 40 minutes to get out of my subdivision,” testified a third individual. The opponents of Ross’ show also argue that Ross’ mansion and estate are not appropriately zoned to host a large-scale commercial event such as a car show. It is unknown if Ross, or a representative on his behalf, attended and testified at the meeting. The Board of Commissioners has not yet announced a ruling on whether Ross will be barred from hosting his show. Do you think Ross’ neighbors are out of line? Are you excited for his show?
