Background

Moniece Slaughter gained prominence through her appearance on the VH1 reality series Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Known for her outspoken personality and involvement in the music industry, Moniece quickly became a recognizable figure on reality television. Tank, on the other hand, is an acclaimed R&B artist known for his smooth vocals and chart-topping hits like “Maybe I Derse” and “When We.” With a successful career spanning decades, Tank has established himself as a respected figure in the music industry. Moreover, his talents as a singer, songwriter, and producer have earned him a dedicated fan base and numerous accolades.

The Hookup: Tank And Moniece Slaughter Get Together

The connection between Moniece Slaughter and Tank came to light in 2016. The singer brought it up himself in an interview with Hollywood Unlocked. Tank confessed to having hooked up with Moniece Slaughter. He stated that, although he was cautioned about her temperament, he engaged with her. Recalling an incident, Tank mentioned a time when Moniece unexpectedly visited his home while he was away. He claimed she was searching for a dress she had left behind. Furthermore, he stated that it was then he found out she was pregnant.

Tank went on to provide graphic details as he recounted a series of eyebrow-raising incidents involving Moniece. These incidents allegedly follow their brief sexual encounter that happened more than a decade ago.  At the time, Moniece was 19 years old. The singer stated: “Me and a couple of my guys, we started talking to her or whatever. It started out as a conversation like well, it looks like we all gon’ do something with her… I get another message from my neighbor and I’m not making any of this up. This is real shit and she says ‘Yeah, a girl came by and said she’s looking for a dress and also she’s pregnant.’” The self-acclaimed “pull-out champion” also accused Moniece of stalking him and vandalizing his properties. He claimed that she did it all so that they could hook up one more time.

According to Black America Web, following Tank’s accusations, Moniece Slaughter told her side of things. She sat with Electronic Urban Report to discuss her version of events. She stated: “My family and I are trying to figure it out. He knows my mom. He knows my dad. Aside from being disgusted and confused, it’s very disheartening. So I don’t know what made him do it… I’m disgusted by those allegations. I’m somebody’s mom and he’s got daughters. Would you want somebody to lie on your daughters like that? I mean really, all I have to say about the whole situation is this, I was 19. Things happen. I made a mistake.”

Moniece Slaughter also addressed the stalking and vandalism claims made by Tank. She admitted to throwing a brick with a note at his window. Concerning the pregnancy, she said: “I was, and he said in the interview that I called him three days later, but it had actually been months since we had spoken to one another, and I wouldn’t want to have a baby by someone who treats women this way.” Moniece eventually stated that she had aborted the pregnancy because Tank didn’t seem like a good person to have a child with.

The Tank-Moniece Slaughter Resurgence

In 2017, Moniece Slaughter opened up about her hookup with Tank. She spoke to All Def Digital about the nature of their former relationship. Slaughter confessed that she had gone after Tank, even after she was warned not to date him. The situation became more intriguing when she disclosed that he had been unfaithful to his girlfriend, now wife, Zena Foster. Slaughter also claimed that Zena, in turn, had cheated on him with rapper The Game

“You cheated on her with multiple women, myself included,” Slaughter said. “But then you lied to her and told her that I was before her, and then she cheated on you with The Game and some more people… I was 19. You were 30 going on 31. You got me pregnant because we had unprotected sex, multiple times and I chose not to keep that pregnancy.”

Travis Scott Riding Around In A Tank Has Fans Calling Him An ASAP Rocky Copycat Again

Travis Scott and ASAP Rocky are two of the most influential rappers in the modern era. Both of their respective sounds have forged legendary careers for the both of them. However, fans love to make comparisons and these two have been subjected to that since the start. While they do physically look very similar, that is not the only way they get pitted against one another. A good portion of the hip-hop community feels that Scott has been biting Rocky’s style and creative direction. That debate was recently reignited after a video surfaced of the Houston rapper having a blast on a tank.

According to HipHopDX, fans are predicting that this is all for the music video for UTOPIA‘s hit song “FE!N.” If that rings true, Rocky fans and Scott haters are going to have a field day with it. Especially because, the ASAP member featured that iconic armored vehicle in his visuals for “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n).” Fans made sure to call that out in the comments, “@asaprocky trav on some riot shi.”

While people love to fabricate beef about celebrities, Rocky has been feeding into it throughout his career. In a popular sit-down with Hot 97 back in 2016, he saw the vision in the comparison and encouraged others to decide what they believe. “Let the people decide if he a biter or if he authentic.” However, there are times when he is tired of the beef rumors. In a social media post in 2019 he said, ““THAT ME N TRAVIS BEEF SHIT SO PLAYED OUT, LET IT GO.” It will forever be debated on who bit off who until they make music together it seems.

What are your thoughts on Travis Scott riding around in a tank? Do you agree with fans that he is biting ASAP Rocky’s creative flare? Is this rivalry actually real, or is it fan-made? Will this wind up in the music video for “FE!N?” We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Tyrese, Ginuwine & Tank Set The Past Aside To Bring TGT Back

It looks like TGT- comprised of Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank– will be making a comeback following years of feuding. Moreover, the R&B supergroup recently came together backstage and hashed things out, with Tank and Ginuwine asking Tyrese if he’s willing to split things evenly from here on out. For those unaware, they formed in 2007 but didn’t release an album until 2013, and faced internal conflict plus label issues at the time. However, it seems like the trio is really to set all that aside and continue their great work in the genre. Whether that results in a new album remains to be seen, but they’re definitely cooking something up.

“I knew it would happen,” Ginuwine captioned the aforementioned clip of the official TGT reunion. “I just want it to be perfect for each and every individual. We come together to say we are Kings so let’s move forward. I appreciate the love we get now let’s go!!!! #TGT #uhooo #TankGTyrese ok it’s time ok Letsgo @therealtank and @tyrese my brothas for life.” Still, this isn’t the first hint of a grand re-encountre we got this year.

TGT Is Back: Watch

Back in April of 2023, Tyrese seemingly confirmed that TGT had another album on the way coming very soon. “I got some great news for you,” he told Tank and J. Valentine on the iHeartMedia R&B Money podcast. “Atlantic Records has officially agreed to sign TGT for a second album… yeah, congratulations.” Then, the actor and Tank started to talk about what the project could look like, although they didn’t give a release date. Of course, they acknowledged that they would have to come to an agreement on these things with Ginuwine present. As such, it seems like an opportunity like this is exactly what the three needed to set their comeback up.

Is this exciting news for you or do you think that it’s a waste of time or too good to be true? Can Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank dismiss their previous grievances and commit to another great album? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on TGT.

Tank Recalls Blowing $250K Advance at the Start of His Career

Tank

R&B singer Tank is a legend in this business. He started making noise in the 90s and became a background singer for Ginuwine and Aaliyah. Tank developed his talent by singing in his church choir, and before you know it, he was called to be a part of a sold-out tour. The money he earned helped him pay all his bills, the R&B crooner said on his podcast, R&B Money. Thanks to his mother, she made the R&B crooner pay all his bills.

After performing with the likes of Aaliyah and Ginuwine on tour, he landed a record deal with the “Try Again” singer’s label. Tank also received a $250,000 advance but admitted that it didn’t last long.

“When I got my record deal advance and my publishing deal advance, that’s when it went left. That’s when Tank came out the tank and started getting knocked. I’m talking about crab legs as big as your back.”

Apparently, the 47-year-old did not know how fast you could spend $250,000. Before he knew it, Tank only had $1,000 left to his name. Though he blew through his advance, he spent money on equipment to enhance his career. He invested in mixers and MPCs and now the rest is history.

Tank Says R&B Needs More Mainstream Support and the Return of Jamie Foxx

Tank Says RB Like Chris Brown Usher Jamie Foxx Need Mainstream Support TMZ 0 37 screenshot

The talk around R&B, and its status of it, continues to grow. After Diddy’s “R&B is Dead” conversation, TMZ caught Tank at LAX, who just recently delivered his R&B Money album. What does he think is currently impacting R&B? No mainstream love.

Speaking to the camera, Tank revealed that Chris Brown and Usher need more mainstream support.

“We are still disconnected from the mainstream,” Tank said. “We need more of that. Not just me or not just CB or not just Usher, we need more of that. When can a track like ‘End of the Road’ get to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart.”

In addition, Tank believes what the genre really needs is the return of Jamie Foxx.

“I been begging him [Jamie Foxx] to get back in there,” Tank added. “I’m going to make him get in there.”
