Taylor Swift is now a single woman. This news came as a shock to many, as there were rumors swirling about a potential engagement or marriage to then-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. Sadly, the two could not make it work. Now, fellow celebrities are coming out of the woodwork to shoot their shots and give advice. The latest to do so is R&B singer Ne-Yo. TMZ caught up with the artist in LAX and spoke to him about the recent news of Taylor’s split.

In the video posted on TMZ’s website, the gossip blog’s reporter walked alongside Ne-Yo in the airport. “Is there a silver lining to that sort of stuff?” he asked. “It can be good for songwriting, you know what I mean?” Ne-Yo listened intently and offered his thoughts on the matter. “Oh, yeah, absolutely. Some of my best songs are about heartache and breakups and stuff like that.” The reporter continued, asking if the R&B singer thought Taylor could make use of this. Ne-Yo responded with positivity, looking at the bright side of the situation. “That’s the beauty of being a songwriter,” he explained. “You don’t have to suffer through it as much because you can take that energy and turn it into something positive.”

Taylor’s Sudden Split

The reason for Taylor Swift’s sudden split with Jow Alwyn is still not clear. As always, Taylor has remained tight-lipped about the subject. She has never been one to speak about her relationships much in public. She prefers to save it for her music. However, a source did give Entertainment Tonight a little bit of insight into the situation. They clarified that the breakup was not dramatic. Instead, the two simply decided it was time to end things. “The relationship had just run its course,” the source said. “It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.”

Taylor Swift generally doesn’t speak much about her relationships until after they are over. However, she and Alwyn were together for six years. Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have broken up, according to a new report from ET. The outlet says that the two called it quits several weeks ago at this point. The couple had been together for over six years.

ET also cites sources that say the split was amicable and “it was not dramatic.” They added that “the relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.” As of last October, sources for the outlet reported that Swift and Alwyn were “doing great.”

Though the two mostly stayed quiet about their relationship, Swift recently discussed their dynamic in relation to her song, “Lavender Haze.” Speaking with ET, she confirmed she based the track on their romance. “I happened on the phrase ‘lavender haze’ when I was watching Mad Men, and I looked it up because I thought it sounded cool, and it turns out that it’s a common phrase used in the ’50s where they would just describe being in love,” she said at the time. “If you were in the lavender haze that meant you were in that all-encompassing love glow. I thought that was really beautiful.”

She further added: “I guess, theoretically, when you’re in the lavender haze you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud. I think a lot of people have to deal with this now, not just ‘public figures,’ because we live in the era of social media, and if the world finds out that you’re in love with somebody they’re going to weigh in on it. Like my relationship for six years, we’ve had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff and we just ignore it. This song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff.” Swift is currently traveling the world on her The Eras tour. She will stop in Tampa, Florida, next week.

News of Mod Sun and Lavigne’s breakup broke in February 2023. They had been engaged for nearly one year. Mod Sun spoke candidly about the split in a post on social media at the time, admitting it came as a surprise to him. “In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all,” he wrote. “I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken [broken heart emoji]. During a recent performance in the UK, the R&B artist brought a female fan out to join him. He performed an ultra-steamy lap dance to 2007’s “Take You Down” that had the crowd going wild. Breezy’s dance moves were obviously wowing his audience. At the same time, the receiving patron’s partner caught their intimate moment on camera. He subsequently posted it on TikTok to vent to the world about what he’d just witnessed.

It feels as if we’ve been in a nonstop cycle of Blueface and Chrisean Rock relationship issues. We haven’t received much new music from the California rapper as of late, but updates about his personal life have been neverending. For years, Blue and Rock have been a concerning couple. The pair have been filmed physically beating on one another on multiple occasions. As if that didn’t already give the public pause, their constant, vicious, public social media arguments have thrust the couple into infamy. Such is the case this week, as Blueface and Chrisean seem to be on the outs once again. Yung Miami expressed her support for the young star amid the drama, but that didn’t stop the “Thotiana” hitmaker from continuing his tirade against his on-again-off-again girlfriend.

This latest wave’s catalyst was Blueface showing off a laundry room covered in dirty clothing. “Look at this sh*t, y’all. I done told this hoe to do the goddamn laundry for about a month now. I tell her, it’s not that hard, baby. Look, if you separate the clothes every day and just do a load a day, it’ll be less work.” He questioned what he was supposed to do with the mess—although he didn’t seem to want to wash anything himself. Elsewhere, he continued to criticize Chrisean, calling her names and repeatedly denying that he is the father of her unborn child. Rock has made it a habit of ignoring her boyfriend’s rants. Her responses also cause uneasiness, as she often doesn’t acknowledge his remarks and expresses her love. Yet, she changed things up today (March 15) after again finding her name at the center of controversy. Rock responded to the laundry claim, saying she’s “mentally and physically” drained. “Who wants to clean up after a n*gga that beats and cheats on them?” She added she would rather pay someone else to handle those chores because she doesn’t have the mental space to deal with them.

On Twitter, Blueface stated, “Any b*tch out they hands on me getting they ass beat everybody knows that already.” Rock replied, “Nah I just started popping off first cuz I can see it already coming because the first fight was c I wanted to walk away n go upstairs.” She said the argument had to do with Blueface telling her to submit. “N*gga I started thinking I had to be aggressive back so u won’t think u can just b*tch me.” Rock later called him a bully trying to gaslight her into acting out.

It’s unclear where this relationship is headed, but at this rate, it’s going nowhere fast. Rock is moving forward with her pregnancy regardless of Blue asking her to get an abortion. Blueface and Chrisean Rock seemingly referred to a breakup on Twitter, as recent messages indicate that they’ve split. Of course, this should still be taken with a grain of salt, as the pair is infamous for their antics and back and forth status. While they fought, partied, celebrated, shouted, cried, and lived together, it seems like that time might’ve come to an end. Furthermore, the California rapper was the first to address the apparent split on the social media platform. Later on, he even retweeted Chrisean’s tweet about the situation, and many thought his original tweet was quite harsh and slightly derogatory.

“She pregnant missing a tooth with 7 tattoos,” the “Bleed It” artist wrote. “Finna make a fool of herself with the next n***a. An I’m not pregnant at all finna live my life perfectly fine with the next b***h who gone take me even more serious now.
