Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” Diss Boosted Sales Of “First Person Shooter” By 15%

Even with eight more months to go in 2024, there may not be a more memorable verse than the one Kendrick Lamar put out on “Like That.” The aggressive delivery from the California MC was something to behold and it will continue to be that way for a long time. Especially with how direct Kendrick Lamar was when he mentioned “First Person Shooter.” Ironically now, “Like That” has gone number one just like “First Person Shooter” did when it dropped. Both tracks are mega successful already, but Lamar has upped the numbers for Drake and J. Cole’s collaboration even more so.

In a recent tweet from Kurrco, data has since come out that Kendrick has boosted the sales of the For All The Dogs cut as of late. “Drake’s ‘First Person Shooter’ ft. J. Cole, saw a 15% increase in sales after being mentioned in ‘Like That’ by Future, Metro Boomin & Kendrick Lamar 👀” When you have the power that K-Dot has, you can do stuff like this. Since this was revealed, fans were having a mini debate in the comments about which track is better.

Kendrick Lamar Is Really “Like That”

Of course, the bar that references the song is, “Ah, yeah, huh, yeah, get up with me / F*** sneak dissin’, first-person shooter, I hope they came with three switches / I crash out like, “F*** rap,” diss Melle Mel if I had to.” Because of this stat, people are now debating if “Like That” or “First Person Shooter” is better. This could be another angle of the beef for years to come and we are here for it.

What are your thoughts on Kendrick Lamar boosting sales for “First Person Shooter” from his “Like That” verse? Is this going to go down as one of the more important diss tracks in hip-hop history? Is this your favorite song from WE DON’T TRUST YOU, why or why not? Which song do you prefer out of the two? Metro Boomin Calls Out Rappers Who Are “Scared To Post” “WE DON’T TRUST YOU,” Fans Suspect 21 Savage & Drake Are In Crosshairs

Metro Boomin is one of the most successful producers of all time, but especially over the last year and change. Since 2022’s HEROES & VILLAINS, the St. Louis, Missouri beat crafter has continued to churn number one record after number one record. In fact, he just scored his fourth top charting project on the Billboard Hot 200 with WE DON’T TRUST YOU. It sold 251,000 units in its first week, making it the biggest debut of 2024 overall so far. However, even with all the well-earned acclaim, Metro Boomin still feels some people are “scared” to show it love.

A tweet from the hitmaker has been gaining some attention overnight in which he puts unnamed people on blast. Shortly after him and Future grabbed the top of both the Hot 200 and 100, Metro tweeted, “I see a lot of niggas been scared to post the album too😂😭😭😭#IForgiveButIDontForget #WEDONTTRUSTYOU🚷🚷🚷” Fans got to speculation and theory in the comments section as to who this could be for possibly. The obvious victim that people were throwing around was Drake since of the “Like That” diss from Kendrick Lamar.

However, there is a fairly large camp that feels 21 Savage could be in the crosshairs as well. We believe that could have something to do with the Georgia rapper being close with Drake, especially after Her Loss. If you remember that album was getting more praise than H&V and Metro was not too happy about it. In the same breath it would also be a big switch up in tone about one the producer’s most frequent collaborators. They just worked pretty closely together on Savage’s 2024 record american dream. Fans are hoping that Metro and 21 are not beefing. One fan replied, “Bro I swear to God please don’t stop working with 21 Savage that will be a HUGE void in hip hop.”

What are your thoughts on Metro Boomin saying rappers are scared to support WE DON’T TRUST YOU? Do you agree with the fans that Drake and 21 Savage are the ones being targeted, or do you think its someone else? What are your top five tracks from the album right now? Is Metro’s behavior online changing your opinion on the producer, why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Ye Trolls Sheck Wes After “Mo Bamba” Rapper Claims He Robbed His Musical Style

Nearly six years ago, Sheck Wes had parties going wild with his mega hit “Mo Bamba.” It appeared on his debut album MUDBOY and it has been a defining song in the Cactus Jack/G.O.O.D. Music signee’s discography. However, the Harlem, New York native has had a hard time replicating that same intensity and hype around his music since then. His inaugural LP is still the only one he has to his name and the last single he dropped was in 2022 with “PAIN!” Regardless of the time in between the release of “Mo Bamba” and now, Sheck Wes is not going to let anyone discredit it, not even Ye.

According to HipHopDX, Sheck felt some type of way about one of his bosses’ comments that went viral yesterday. Those statements were Ye’s reactions as to who he feels is the best rapper ever. In typical fashion, he championed himself the G.O.A.T. saying that he washed Drake “AT THE FREE HOOVER CONCERT” and “WASHED KENDRICK ON NO MORE PARTIES IN LA.” This was seemingly a response to the recent diss from K-Dot sent Drake’s way on “Like That.”

Ye Is Feeling Himself On Social Media

Sheck Wes responded to Ye’s self-confident rant by calling him a thief of the “Mo Bamba” sound to nab a number one hit with “CARNIVAL.” “You stole my whole cadence, flow, beat, tempo to get #1 u delusional and u ain’t check in w the buzzins!! U n****s really bugged out!” Wes seemingly deleted the comment, but his G.O.O.D. boss caught it just in the nick of time. Ye decided to troll him by reposting the clap back on his IG story, as well as “Mo Bamba.”

What are your thoughts on Ye’s response to Sheck Wes? Do you think the VULTURES rapper stole Sheck’s style on “Mo Bamba” for “CARNVAL,” why or why not? Is Ye the best rapper alive right now? What song of the two do you prefer? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. DJ Akademiks Encourages Followers To Write Hateful Messages About Meek Mill To PA Governor

DJ Akademiks and Meek Mill have been constantly going at each other’s throats. Of course, the hate for one another was rekindled after the slew of Diddy lawsuits. Namely, the one where the Philadelphia rapper was a potential sexual partner with Diddy. Everyone has been roasting him for it, and AK has been a big proprietor of it all. Recently, the two have been verbally sparring on X as the MC sent some life-threatening messages at the media pundit.

Meek tweeted out, “Next time ima go live! But if something happen to me we hunting you til death!” This was a response to an Akademiks message where he called out his Philly roots. This recent exchange has led to a movement that AK is looking to get a massive following for. The troller asked his followers to write letters to the Pennsylvania governor to call out Meek Mill for being two-faced.

DJ Akademiks Is Doing Whatever He Can To Win This Meek Mill Beef

He attached a Rumble link where he streams, with a request to convince the governor of the Midwestern state of how “disgusting” Meek is. “Tonight my livestream will be all writing letters to the governor of Pennsylvania asking why he’s next to a disgusting lowlife thug like @meekmill while he threaten to kill civilians but proclaim he’s bout prison reform and ending violence.” This effort of vindication went down last night and as of now there is no word on how successful it went. More information on that should come, so be sure to stick around.

Benzino Roasts Eminem’s Face In Reaction To “Doomsday Pt. 2” Music Video: “What In The Plastic Surgery?”

Benzino and Eminem have had it out for each other for years and years. Hip-hop heads will know this, but the younger generation might find this to be new news. The most recent chapter in their never-ending feud stems from the Detroit legend’s appearance on the Lyrical Lemonade and Cole Bennett debut album All is Yellow. One of the most talked about moments on the record was Eminem’s “Doomsday Pt. 2.” In it he directly goes after Benzino, making fun of his neck, the time he was in bed with men at a hotel, and the Coi Leray comments about asking for a feature.

Being honest, it was a pretty funny diss toward his rival. Now, the hatred is being revived yet again, as Benzino recently gave his reaction to Eminem’s “Doomsday” music video. THE HIP-HOP WOLF shared a post on Instagram of the comment left by the co-founder of The Source and it is quite the response. “He finally responded‼ Can someone tell me what in the plastic surgery happened to his face?? Benzino wrote.

“He looks like a walking corpse. Nah… this ain’t it. RAP ELVIS DESTROYED @eminem.” Coi Leray also shared a blunt and sarcastic comment underneath Cole Bennett’s post thanking Eminem. “Cute,” she wrote in reply.

What are your thoughts on Benzino’s reaction to the music video for Eminem’s “Doomsday Pt. 2?” Who is winning this battle of words in your opinion and why? Adin Ross Leaks Security Camera Footage From Night Of His Awkward Stream With Playboi Carti: Watch

Adin Ross was the butt of a lot of jokes after his failed live stream with Playboi Carti. To be honest, that does not even begin to describe how much of a waste of time it was for Adin and his viewers. Music fans were also let down, after many were hoping to really get some juicy updates on his next project, I Am Music. One of the biggest faces was scammed out of $2 million for a 10–15-minute session of essentially nothing.

Of course, he was absolutely furious about it and he called out the oddball behavior. It seems their rapport has not gotten to a positive place by any means. Attempts to for the Georgia rapper to redeem himself have proven to be futile. Ross has tried to bring him back for another stream, but according to the streamer, he theorizes that he was essentially entertaining the idea to not be viewed in a negative light.

Adin Ross Explains The Weird Night With Playboi Carti

He said that back at the start of March, but there was also another important piece of information. During that live stream, Adin also revealed he had the security camera footage from that night and that he was going to release it. Well, that day has come. Above is a 20-minute playback of what went down with Carti and Adin’s team. The video below that is a clip from Ross’ recent talk with his fans, breaking down important bits of that night. It seems that Carti and his team were not happy about the small payout. However, Adin’s valid rebuttal was that he was only on camera for “six minutes” instead of an hour.

What are your thoughts on Adin Ross leaking security camera footage from the Playboi Carti stream? Do you think this was necessary? Tyreek Hill Details Why His Relationship With Rick Ross Is Fractured

Tyreek Hill has been a Godsend for the Miami Dolphins ever since he arrived nearly two years ago to the day. While he has not had the same success from a team standpoint compared to his time in Kansas City, his individual accomplishments have been extraordinary. He has helped make Miami and annual playoff threat and they have had one of the strongest offensive units each year. Of course, that is going to earn the respect of the fans, including Rick Ross, who currently resides in Florida. Ross always shows love to the local pro sports teams and it seems that the two stars have bonded and become friends. However, things are now amiss.

According to AllHipHop, Hill went on The Pivot podcast recently to discuss various topics. One thing that arose from the hour-long conversation was his home that was damaged in an accidental fire. Even worse, it happened while he was at practice. Furthermore, according to the Miami Herald, the fire caused $2.3 million worth of damages, but luckily, no one was hurt. Ross does not live far from Hill’s home and he wound up taking a video of the firefighter taming the flames on social media instead of contacting him. That really irritated Hill, to say the least.

Tyreek Hill May Be On The Move As Well

Subsequently, the speedy wide out is now really considering not being friends anymore. “Rick Ross, bruh, I can’t vibe with you now. I can’t f*** with you no more… Rick Ross, man, like you ain’t even come over,” Hill said. “You had the audacity to talk to a fireman instead of—you got my number, bruh. You get on Twitter, posting me all over Twitter. Like after what me and my family went through. You supposed to be the neighbor, the neighborhood hero!”

What are your thoughts on Tyreek Hill’s new beef with Rick Ross? Do you agree with the football star that the rapper was in the wrong to post that video of their house burning? King Harris Continues To Beef With Druski After He Called Him A “P***y” In Recent Interview

It is hard to take anything too seriously when it comes to Druski and King Harris. Their “beef” has been going on for about a month now. However, it all seems a little too fishy, especially with the comedian’s show, Coulda Been House, just moments away from hitting YouTube. In fact, it premieres tonight on the platform at 9 p.m. ET and it should be a hoot. The premise of the reality parody is that one winner will ink a deal with the “record label” Coulda Been and a grand prize of $50,000. It appears their might be some early drama, maybe as soon as the first episode.

According to MSN, Druski went on The Breakfast Club to talk about the show, as well as his beefs with Birdman and King Harris. The differences between Druski and the latter were based on the fact that he used the “standing on business” phrase as the title for his single. “Standin On Bihness” with the help of DJ Drama, Snoop Dogg, and BNYX, dropped last weekend to promote the comedy series. King Harris did recognize that he was not the lone creator, but he did feel he popularized it.

Things got “heated” when Druski called Harris a “p***y” after he pulled up on the set of Coulda Been House. They essentially had a “stare down” and nothing really ever happened. The comedian quickly changed his tone saying, “I f*** with King Harris, though. He’s cool… We from the same way, n****. I f*** with King.” However, Harris is still going after Druski in the Instagram clip above. Any possible way of calling a man a woman, King pulled out all of the comparisons and then some. Again, this is all hard to believe, but we will see how it unfolds.

What are your thoughts on King Harris continuing his alleged beef with Druski? Do you think this is all promotion for the comedian’s show Coulda Been House? Rubi Rose References Nicki Minaj Lyrics In Thirst Trap, Leaving Fans Puzzled After Dissing Her

Everyone continues to pile on Nicki Minaj for the viral diss track toward her female contemporary Megan Thee Stallion. The two have not been big fans of each other for some time now and it is really spiraling out of control right now. It all went down this past weekend when Megan returned with her highly-anticipated follow-up to “Cobra,” “HISS.” Nicki quickly hit the recording booth to record “Big Foot.” Many have maligned her for it, including Rubi Rose.

The rapper, model, and fashion designer from Kentucky sent shots toward the queen of rap in an alleged Instagram post. Rose said things like, “Nicki Minaj evil as f***. Only option to marry was a p***phile, b**** evil, pretty in the face but body botched as f***, evil spirit a** b****, old as f*** tryna keep up, ozempic really saved her big back self.” However, Nicki’s passionate Barbz swooped in to back up immediately. They dug up old tweets from Rubi basically saying how much she idolized the Trinidadian superstar.

Now, Rose is continuing to confuse the Barbz and other music fans with a new set of thirst traps. The pictures above show her showing off her assets, with the last slide being a video of Rubi performing and twerking. But, that is not why people are scratching their heads. How she captioned the IG dump is the issue at hand. She calls back to Nicki’s iconic raunchy verse from Big Sean’s party anthem “Dance (A$$) Remix.” Rubi writes, “Kiss my a** if u hating💋 cuz it’s finally famous.” It will be interesting to see if Minaj is cooking up one of her four new diss tracks for her in the coming days.

What are your thoughts on this latest set of thirst traps from Rubi Rose and the caption calling back to Nicki Minaj’s lyrics? Is she hating on Nicki or is she just trolling to get attention? Is Nicki deserving all the hate she is getting from this beef with Megan Thee Stallion? How will this all play out in the end? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Kid Cudi Details The Origin Of Lupe Fiasco Beef: “I Sensed Something In The Universe”

According to Zane Lowe, this version of Kid Cudi is “a reenergized Cudi.” That comes from the legendary interviewer’s latest sit-down with Cleveland’s very own Mr. Rager. The 39-year-old multi-talent just dropped his 11th project INSANO on January 12. It looks to be another top 10-worthy release on the Billboard Hot 200 with nearly 50,000 copies sold. While the LP was the main reason for Lowe to chat with Cudi. However, there was another interesting nugget that the two spoke about. The hitmaker revealed how he and Lupe Fiasco’s dislike for one another started.

HipHopDX highlighted that it all began in 2008. Before Cudi got his music career going, he was an employee at the BAPE store in New York. Lupe Fiasco happened to be shopping there one day and his co-workers were juiced to see him. The opposite could be said about Cudi. “[I] Stayed down the stairs, waited until he left. [My colleagues] were like, ‘What you down here for?’” He explained, “‘Yo bro, if I get famous one day, I don’t ever want this n**** saying like, ‘He sold me clothes. You my son!’ We can’t have that!’”

Kid Cudi Says It Began At His BAPE Store Gig

Sure enough, his hunch was correct. Even though Cudi avoided that interaction, Lupe still has it out for him. “I was right, I was onto something. I sensed something in the universe.” Things began to escalate in 2014 when they went back and forth on Twitter over Lupe charging fans $500 for a personalized verse. Cudi then called that out for seeming “a bit sketch,” according to HipHopDX. If you would like to fast-forward to that portion of the interview, start watching around the 34:50 mark.

What are your thoughts on Kid Cudi’s interview with Zane Lowe and the conversation about the beef with Lupe Fiasco? Do you think they will ever have mutual respect for one another?
