Drake and The Weeknd are widely considered as two of Canada’s biggest musical superstars and for good reason. Both have proven over and over again that they know how to make impactful pieces of art. Early on their careers, most know that they were close and helping each other make it in the industry. However, when it came down to Drake looking to eventually sign The Weeknd to OVO, it did not work out for Drizzy. Abel made it clear back then that he felt he could still become a force and sure enough that decision paid dividends tenfold.

Following that, there has always been speculation that they had some sort of beef because of that indifference. Lately, those suspicions have turned out to be true, as The Weeknd made it clear on “All to Myself.” The WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU cut off Metro Boomin and Future’s most recent album, heard him say how happy he was for that decision. “I thank God that I never signed my life away… They shooters makin’ TikToks / Got us laughin’ in the Lambo (Yeah).” Drake recently responded to that diss on his fiery, 20 versus 1 response “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me Fifty).”

With all of that in mind, some people’s minds might be persuaded to think that Drake may be the good guy here. A clip from Drake’s viral interview with Rap Radar about four years ago resurfaced in which he addressed not being able to sign The Weeknd. In it, The Boy says that he personally never had any ill will toward the R&B icon, but that some others on the OVO label did. He also expressed that he was always “super happy” and “excited” for him. However, most fans were not drinking the Kool-Aid. “U could tell he was mad with his lyin ahhh,” one person wrote. “I’d be mad too if I didn’t sign the biggest artist in the world,” another added.

It seems every celebrity has a bone to pick with Drake. A recent video on X (formerly Twitter), has begun to go a little viral. Former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder, one of the hosts of The Pivot Podcast, recently went to a Drake concert and all seemed to be going well. However, the superstar rapper noticed Channing’s wife, Aja Crowder, and really liked what he saw. “Oh s***. The green right there – she fine as hell,” Drizzy called out from the stage. It was quite astounding how he was able to spot Channing’s wife from that far away, especially since she was in a suite higher up.

Some might see this is as fake and stitched together, but Aja was wearing a green top, so this looks to be real. Channing definitely did not seem to happy about it, saying, “Man hell with him. I ain’t worrying about Drake! I’ll see Drake in the parking lot.” On top of that response, Crowder shared the video on X, with a caption asking Metro Boomin and Future for a favor.

That is until Ice Spice spoke her piece on the feud with Latto just this past weekend during her Coachella set.

She was originally gaining some traction online for this track because it is rumored to be on her debut album Y2K. But now that fans have deciphered the lyrics a bit, they feel Ice Spice was secretly targeting Latto at Coachella. Even though Metro Boomin is not a rapper, fans are still going to flock to his live shows whenever possible. That proves just how massive the St. Louis producer has become over time, especially in the last year and a half. His 2024 has been nothing short of incredible already, dropping two albums in a matter of less than a month. Even though that is a big deal, especially due to how much quality is on each offering, what is even more incredible is how it has created this civil war in rap. One of the ways Metro Boomin has done that is by making “Like That,” which he played at Coachella alongside NAV.

The Toronto born rapper and singer was an April 14 performer at the 2024 installment of the legendary music and arts festival. NAV certainly had the raucous crowd going even crazier after bringing Metro onto the stage with him. As most know, these two have a longstanding friendship which dates back to the late 2010s. NAV is one a handful of artists to have a full album with Metro, being Perfect Timing back in 2017.

With the Dreamville label head apologizing to Kendrick Lamar after “dissing” him on “7 Minute Drill,” a lot of people were turned off by it. Symba can confidently say he is a part of that camp after ripping into Cole on his new diss track “Control Freestyle.”

He decided to release it on YouTube only, which makes sense for a song like this. But with its limited exposure, it is still making waves on the internet. Fans are loving how someone was not afraid to share how frustrated they were with how Cole handled this entire situation. For example, one fan commented under the video, “I SUPPORT THIS MESSAGE: The streets are hungry. This is DAMN sure NEEDED after the apology. Thank you, Symba.”

Ryan Garcia Goes Nuclear On Kanye West For Allegedly Refusing To Walk Him Out Over “No Diddy” Tweet

Boxing star Ryan Garcia has just gone off the rails on X over some new beef with Kanye West. According to HipHopDX, it all began when the 25-year-old sent out a tweet to 50 Cent on April 3. He asked the New York rap icon to walk out with him for his upcoming fight on April 20 with Devin Haney. In that request he also said, “no Diddy,” as a reference to the running jokes surrounding the sexual assault allegations of the mogul. “@50cent would be awesome if you walked out with me 4-20 No diddy Let’s do this!!!!” Garcia presumably asked the same of Kanye, but he allegedly believes that the VULTURES MC “said no” because of the jab at Diddy.

This lit a raging fire inside the young boxer and it led him to send at least 16 vicious verbal attacks toward Kanye. It all began with this post, “Why Kanye mad at me for saying “no diddy” He lost it when he said he was the New Jesus.” From there the tweets began to snowball and increase in absurdity. For example, Garcia went as far as to claim that, “I heard Kim puts her finger in Kanye b** allegedly”

And then you get a look alike to Kim “Bianca”. And then you have the nerve to say you the new Jesus. LMFAO you are a bum facts.” Garcia also calls out Kanye’s die-hard supporters, saying, “bro supported a genocide for a whole group and y’all defend him” and that it “is actually sad.” In another gut punch, the lightweight boxer says the Georgia-born native is “defending diddy bc that’s his daddy.” Kanye has yet to respond to any of these tweets and confirm if Garcia’s claim is true.

He tweeted out how he feels that Yung Miami has been shouldering the load of the duo, as well as JT’s career. “Acting like Yung Miami didn’t carry the city girls and save JT name is CRAZY… y’all weird tho.” JT did not let the slander slide in this case. Especially with how direct Kendrick Lamar was when he mentioned “First Person Shooter.” Ironically now, “Like That” has gone number one just like “First Person Shooter” did when it dropped. Both tracks are mega successful already, but Lamar has upped the numbers for Drake and J. Cole’s collaboration even more so.

In a recent tweet from Kurrco, data has since come out that Kendrick has boosted the sales of the For All The Dogs cut as of late. “Drake’s ‘First Person Shooter’ ft. J. Cole, saw a 15% increase in sales after being mentioned in ‘Like That’ by Future, Metro Boomin & Kendrick Lamar ” When you have the power that K-Dot has, you can do stuff like this. Since this was revealed, fans were having a mini debate in the comments about which track is better.
