Soulja Boy’s Ex Wins $10M In Damages From Assault Lawsuit Against Rapper

Soulja Boy is the first rapper to do a lot of things, but he certainly isn’t the first rapper to wind up in court with an ex-girlfriend. Since 2021, the Chicago native has been wrapped up in a harrowing lawsuit with a past former flame known only as Jane Doe. She claims she was beaten to the point of suffering a miscarriage at the hands of her then-boyfriend. At the time of the incident, the alleged victim was living with Soulja, real name DeAndre Cortez Way.

During a “simple conversation” the MC “quickly became irate and violent,” according to the suit. “During their conversation, (Way) began to punch (Doe) in the face and chest, until she could no longer stand on her feet.” When she fell, Soulja reportedly continued to attack and kick her in the stomach. “Soon thereafter, (Doe) suffered a miscarriage and was unable to carry her pregnancy into full-term,” court documents declare. Despite this, Doe stuck by her man, though he struck again in 2017. According to her, the 33-year-old put his hands on her for wanting to visit her grandmother, only stopping when security came in.

A judge has ruled that Doe will be awarded $10M in damages from her alleged abuser. She’s getting $5M for pain, suffering, and inconvenience, and another $5M for emotional distress. “It took her years to escape the psychological and physical grasp of her abuser,” attorney Neama Rahmani told USA Today of her client’s struggles. The same lawyer is representing another Jane Doe taking legal action against Soulja, citing experiences of sexual abuse and kidnapping.

Soulja Boy seems to have drama with virtually every woman in his life. Not only will he have to pay up millions to his ex, but another person claiming to be the “Crank That” hitmaker’s baby mama is now going viral for brutally calling him out online. Read SB’s response to that situation at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Chrisean Rock’s Ex-Stylist Seeks $1M Over “Baddies West” Premiere Punch

It’s been an undoubtedly rough past few weeks for Chrisean Rock when it comes to her ongoing legal troubles. The mother of one is currently dealing with a lawsuit from James Wright Chanel, the backup singer she’s accused of punching at a Tamar Braxton concert back in November. He claims that the alleged assault did some serious damage to his teeth, and formally pressed charges last month. She’s also accused of assaulting Woah Vicky in 2023. Unfortunately, this led to warrants being issued for her arrest at the end of February, though she now insists they’re “being handled.”

Now, yet another one of Chrisean’s alleged wrongdoings has resurfaced along with new legal documents obtained by The Blast. In October of last year, her former stylist Irby Lashala sued her for punching her in the face at the premiere of Baddies West. In her suit, she accuses Chrisean of “assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

Reportedly, the stylist has claimed an unlimited case exceeding $35k, meaning and it could cost Chrisean a pretty penny. Lasha is looking to score over $1 million in damages. Her new filing says she suffered “assault; Battery; Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress; Negligence; Negligent Hiring, Supervision, and Retention; Premises Liability.” She claims that she’ll be providing “written discovery” and “deposition of defendant” by August of this year. Lashala also alleges that other parties, including Zeus Network, have been notified of the case and have yet to address it.

Fans hope that the reality star will be able to sort out her legal issues and avoid going to jail. What do you think of Chrisean Rock’s former stylist accusing her of assault? Are you surprised? Tyreek Hill Details Why His Relationship With Rick Ross Is Fractured

Tyreek Hill has been a Godsend for the Miami Dolphins ever since he arrived nearly two years ago to the day. While he has not had the same success from a team standpoint compared to his time in Kansas City, his individual accomplishments have been extraordinary. He has helped make Miami and annual playoff threat and they have had one of the strongest offensive units each year. Of course, that is going to earn the respect of the fans, including Rick Ross, who currently resides in Florida. Ross always shows love to the local pro sports teams and it seems that the two stars have bonded and become friends. However, things are now amiss.

According to AllHipHop, Hill went on The Pivot podcast recently to discuss various topics. One thing that arose from the hour-long conversation was his home that was damaged in an accidental fire. Even worse, it happened while he was at practice. Furthermore, according to the Miami Herald, the fire caused $2.3 million worth of damages, but luckily, no one was hurt. Ross does not live far from Hill’s home and he wound up taking a video of the firefighter taming the flames on social media instead of contacting him. That really irritated Hill, to say the least.

Tyreek Hill May Be On The Move As Well

Subsequently, the speedy wide out is now really considering not being friends anymore. “Rick Ross, bruh, I can’t vibe with you now. I can’t f*** with you no more… Rick Ross, man, like you ain’t even come over,” Hill said. “You had the audacity to talk to a fireman instead of—you got my number, bruh. You get on Twitter, posting me all over Twitter. Like after what me and my family went through. You supposed to be the neighbor, the neighborhood hero!”

What are your thoughts on Tyreek Hill’s new beef with Rick Ross? Do you agree with the football star that the rapper was in the wrong to post that video of their house burning? Tyrese Hit With $25K Lawsuit Over Allegedly Unauthorized Airbnb Alterations

Tyrese has seemingly gotten himself into some hot water after a stay at a California Airbnb. According to new court documents obtained by The Blast earlier this week, he’s being sued by Airbnb owner Tiffanique Webb. Webb filed her claim in the Superior Court of California, alleging that Tyrese made various unapproved alterations to her property.

According to her, the “excessive alterations” Tyrese made have left the property un-rentable to other guests, so she’s suing him for loss of earnings. She says the damages exceed his security deposit, seeking more than $25K from the 44-year-old. In California, any changes exceeding $500 made to a rental property must be agreed upon by both parties in writing. Allegedly, Tyrese failed to notify her of the alterations.

Tyrese Accused Of Making “Excessive Alterations” To Rental Property

This isn’t the only legal trouble Tyrese is currently wrapped up in, however. Earlier this year, he sued Home Depot, alleging that he was subject to racial discrimination at one of their stores. In footage that made its rounds online, he’s seen engaging in an argument with a couple of the store’s employees. Allegedly, he had given his card to some friends to use to purchase items that he picked out, and then went to wait in the parking lot. He claims that the employees refused to allow them to purchase the items on his card, and later came in to check them out himself.

“It was only after significant heated discussion with the cashier that Gibson was finally able to complete the transaction,” his suit reads. “The cashier gave no reasonable explanation other than repeating ‘store policy’ and demanded to see a form of identification.” Tyrese accuses the employees of being hesitant to complete the transaction due to he and his friends’ race. What do you think of Tyrese getting hit with a lawsuit from an Airbnb owner? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Blueface To Pay $13 Million In Vegas Strip Club Shooting Damages: Report

Blueface is a man of many talents, businesses, lanes, industries, antics, and a whole lot of Internet exposure. If you’re not reading about his mother’s latest rant or feud with him, and it’s not his baby mama drama either, you’re probably checking out a piece about a wild take of his within the realm of pop culture. What you’re reading right now, though, is something that could really stop the rapper in his tracks. Moreover, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, a judge ordered him to pay $13 million in damages over a 2022 Las Vegas strip club shooting that the court found him guilty of. For those unaware, the venue in question, Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club, sued the Cali MC for allegedly ruining their business and won this new summary judgement.

Furthermore, he actually got probation in this case, which is a lucky break to say the least. However, it’s unclear how Blueface will respond to all this because he wasn’t even there to witness or challenge the motion. Not only that, but this civil case doesn’t list that he has an attorney, so we don’t know if he will want to appeal. Either way, this is a whole lot of money for the “BDD” artist to cough up, and we’re sure that he’s not feeling too happy about this.

What’s more is that the payment itself isn’t entirely one-sided; he has a few different complications to answer for. To break it down, Blueface’s damages bill overwhelmingly comprises of compensation for lost revenue, which totals $12.9 million in this case. In addition, he must pay $198K in lease damages, $84K in payroll expenses to the club’s employees after it shut down in November of last year, and a couple other considerations. With all this in mind, the 26-year-old received orders to take care of a lot of loose ends in this case following a guilty verdict.

Meanwhile, he got a suspended sentence thanks to his plea deal in this case. That translates to only three years of probation and no time behind bars if the MILF Music label boss keeps clean and proper in his movement. Surely, we will get a reaction to all this very, very soon. On that note, stay logged into HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Blueface.

Soulja Boy’s Ex Permitted To Seize Vehicles, Cash, And More For Lawsuit Damages

Last month, Soulja Boy’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Myers, motioned to seize some of the rapper’s assets to collect the damages awarded to her in her assault case. The rapper was ordered to pay Myers $472K, but he claimed he was unable to pay due to financial struggles. He motioned to dismiss the damages, but the judge denied it.

“Defendant must be earning money from somewhere sufficient to pay for the rent and whatever other monthly expenses he has,” the judge explained. “In other words, defendant is paying $300,000/year in rent alone. It stands to reason that he must have some other living expenses. And that money must come from somewhere.” Now, the judge has granted officers permission to seize Soulja Boy’s cars and cash on behalf of his ex. Officers will be allowed to take any cash in excess of $1K.

In his motion to dismiss the damages, Soulja Boy claimed that he owes the IRS $1 million in back taxes. He also cited steep rental payments for his LA mansion, which he says costs him $25K per month. The judge advised Soulja Boy to scale back his living situation in order to pay off his debt.

Myers sued the rapper back in 2020, accusing him of kidnapping and assaulting her at a Malibu house party the year prior. Her awarded damages are to cover her mental health expenses, as well as the physical and mental suffering the alleged assault caused her. “Mr. Way [Soulja Boy] assaulted and terrorized Kayla, and that was borne out by the evidence and testimony,” Myers’ attorney stated. “The punitive damages were substantial, and hopefully they will serve as a lesson to Mr. Way that his celebrity status is not a license to commit violence.” What do you think of the court granting officers permission to seize Soulja Boy’s property on behalf of his ex? Soulja Boy’s Ex Motions To Claim Lawsuit Damages By Seizing His Cars, Cash & More

Soulja Boy claimed that he couldn’t pay his ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers her awarded damages in her assault case against him, and now she’s looking for alternative methods to get her cash. Moreover, according to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, she requested the court to allow her to seize his assets to collect the money. For example, these include alleged stacks of cash the rapper keeps around in bags, his jewelry, and some of his cars, like a Bentley and a Lamborghini. For those unaware, a judge in the California case authorized two payments in default judgement for Myers for $236,000 each (for damages and punitive damages, respectively) back in April.

Kayla Myers sued Soulja Boy for assault, alleging that he attacked her in Malibu in 2019. However, he maintained that he was too deep in financial struggles to fulfill this default judgement. According to the “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” hitmaker, he owes over $1 million to the IRS and pays $25,000 monthly to reside in a mansion. Furthermore, citing this expense as an indicator of his deep pockets to pay Myers, the judge in the case dismissed his motion to put the punitive damages aside.

“Defendant must be earning money from somewhere sufficient to pay for the rent and whatever other monthly expenses he has,” they expressed concerning Soulja Boy. “In other words, defendant is paying $300,000/year in rent alone. It stands to reason that he must have some other living expenses. And that money must come from somewhere. It is not coming from loans, for defendant did not testify as to any other debts.

“So, although the court does not know from whence the money is coming, it is coming from somewhere,” the judge continued. “It is not an impossible inference to conclude that his overall financial condition must be sufficient to allow him to live the lifestyle he does without going into debt.” For what it’s worth, the 33-year-old denied any and all accusations, and has yet to respond to this development as of writing this article. On that note, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Soulja Boy.

Soulja Boy Lucks Out In Civil Case With Ex-Girlfriend Over Awarded Damages

Back in April, a judge awarded Soulja Boy’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers $235,900 in punitive damages in their civil case. For those unaware, Myers sued the rapper for alleged assault and kidnapping at a 2019 party at his home in Malibu, and emerged victorious when the case went to jury. Moreover, Soulja’s team sought a new trial after this development, pointing to jury misconduct as a crucial reason to reevaluate the trial. Apparently, these wishes might see some fulfillment according to a recent report from MyNewsLA on the legal matter. Furthermore, Judge Mark Epstein of California expressed concern on Thursday (June 29) that jurors lacked important evidence and information in the case.

In particular, this evidence and information refers to Soulja Boy’s financial affairs, such as income, saving, expenses, and debt. In fact, Epstein stated that Myers did not present any evidence of these factors in her initial suit, and that the lack such information should’ve halted the case from proceeding. “The court is concerned that, absent at least some evidence on this point, the issue should never have gone to the jury,” a judicial clerk wrote according to the outlet’s report. The court scheduled a hearing for July 21 to discuss the issue.

Nevertheless, until that hearing comes to a conclusion, Myers still won her lawsuit and can stand by that verdict. The jury in this case granted punitive damages for “physical and mental pain and suffering,” with additional funds for healthcare expenses. “We’re pleased with the jury’s verdict,” prosecutor Max Engelhardt remarked at the time. “[Soulja Boy] assaulted and terrorized Kayla, and that was borne out by the evidence and testimony. The punitive damages were substantial, and hopefully, they will serve as a lesson to Mr. Way that his celebrity status is not a license to commit violence.”

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old is still up to his usual antics online, even amid these pressing legal matters. For example, he recently participated in a hilarious livestream with TikTok star Terri Joe where she made some bold claims about their… interactions. We have to wait a few weeks to see where this case lands, but we’re sure that he will keep being himself in the meantime. Kanye West Sued By Photographer Nearly 1 Year After Using Her Photo To Diss Gabriella Karefa-Johnson

2022 saw a side of Kanye West that caused many former friends and collaborators to denounce the rapper. From his troubling comments about the Jewish community to wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt at Paris Fashion Week, the 46-year-old wasn’t shy about publicly aligning himself with controversial ways of thinking. The latter statement caught the attention of Vogue editor, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who labelled Ye as “dangerous” and “irresponsible” for promoting such messages.

At the time, the “Stronger” rapper was often using platforms like Instagram to send out hateful messages. Unsurprisingly, Johnson’s thinkpiece about his outfit earned her a diss post from West, who declared that Johnson “is not a fashion person.” The Yeezy founder further wrote, “You speak on Ye I’mma speak on you. Ask Trevor Noah.” In the months since they’ve both seemingly moved on from the beef. However, the photographer who took the photo of Gabriella that Ye used is now taking legal action against him.

According to TMZ, Michaela Efford has confirmed that she didn’t give the multi-talent permission to use her image on his social media. The photographer captured the snapshot in September of last year, and approximately one week later it appeared on West’s IG for his millions of followers to see. Efford claims that Ye’s use of her image has harmed her ability to successfully market and make money from it. As a result, she’s seeking unspecified damages from the embattled star.

That’s not the only legal action he’s facing at this time either. Just last week, a third teacher from his Donda Academy school sued the Chicago native as well. Elsewhere in the news, Kanye West’s DONDA documentary has leaked online, and it contains some seriously heated moments. Among them is the father of four’s threats to boot Jay-Z off of his tribute album to his late mother, which ultimately didn’t end up happening.
