Tyrese hasn’t shied away from airing his complaints about his ex-wife, Samantha Lee, amid the entire process. He’s previously accused her of only ever being with him for money, called her a liar, and even compared her to former president Donald Trump.

Regardless, he had plenty more to say about the downfall of their marriage during the interview, as well as the issues they’ve had since. At one point in the interview, he shared his thoughts on the child support his ex asked of him, claiming that it was entirely too much. “We never spent $20K a month on my daughter when we were together,” he said. “Who spends that kind of money on a kid? Samantha Lee Says She Now Knows How To “Handle” Tyrese

After the interview dropped, Samantha Lee shared her thoughts online, claiming that it convinced her to change her approach to dealing with Tyrese. “I can forgive you for what you have done, and I thank you for showing me what you’re capable of,” she said. “Now I know how to handle you.”

It appears as though she isn’t the only one moving a bit differently these days, however. During a recent livestream, Tyrese explained that since the interview, he’s been getting messages claiming that Budden and his crew are speaking poorly about him behind his back. He says that the things he’s going through are serious, appearing fed up with being treated like a joke.

Kanye West isn’t just dropping singles for his upcoming Ty Dolla $ign collab album; he’s also taking care of other long-awaited, but much more important business. Moreover, according to AllHipHop, he settled a lawsuit from former Yeezy employee Taliah Leslie. From what legal documents indicate, the details of this development are still under wraps in the public eye, so we don’t know how they agreed on the matter. For those unaware, back in 2021, Leslie accused the rapper and various company executives of breaking California labor law in matters of employee classification and benefits. After a long battle in court, it seems like this is one less legal headache for Ye.

Furthermore, the alleged violation of these regulations stems from how Yeezy supposedly classified Leslie’s employment status incorrectly. She alleged that higher-ups, including Kanye, restricted employees from certain wages and benefits by inaccurately classifying them as independent contractors. In addition, he allegedly refused to cover obligatory travel to and from Wyoming and France. Other things that the Chicago native failed to reimburse Leslie for, given her claims, are phone bills, Internet bills, and other trip expenses that she needed to spend in order to do her job. This is not the only lawsuit against Kanye from a former employee.

Unfortunately for him, this is but a small footnote in the long list of trouble, legal action, and controversy that he must deal with these days. Soulja Boy Lucks Out In Civil Case With Ex-Girlfriend Over Awarded Damages

Back in April, a judge awarded Soulja Boy’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers $235,900 in punitive damages in their civil case. For those unaware, Myers sued the rapper for alleged assault and kidnapping at a 2019 party at his home in Malibu, and emerged victorious when the case went to jury. Moreover, Soulja’s team sought a new trial after this development, pointing to jury misconduct as a crucial reason to reevaluate the trial. Apparently, these wishes might see some fulfillment according to a recent report from MyNewsLA on the legal matter. Furthermore, Judge Mark Epstein of California expressed concern on Thursday (June 29) that jurors lacked important evidence and information in the case.

In particular, this evidence and information refers to Soulja Boy’s financial affairs, such as income, saving, expenses, and debt. In fact, Epstein stated that Myers did not present any evidence of these factors in her initial suit, and that the lack such information should’ve halted the case from proceeding. “The court is concerned that, absent at least some evidence on this point, the issue should never have gone to the jury,” a judicial clerk wrote according to the outlet’s report. The court scheduled a hearing for July 21 to discuss the issue.

The jury in this case granted punitive damages for “physical and mental pain and suffering,” with additional funds for healthcare expenses. “We’re pleased with the jury’s verdict,” prosecutor Max Engelhardt remarked at the time. “[Soulja Boy] assaulted and terrorized Kayla, and that was borne out by the evidence and testimony. The punitive damages were substantial, and hopefully, they will serve as a lesson to Mr. Way that his celebrity status is not a license to commit violence.”
