Karrahboo Shades Lil Yachty During Latest Concert

Karrahboo addressed Lil Yachty’s recent comments during a performance at her latest show on Saturday. The Concrete Boys founder had accused Karrahboo of being verbally abusive and claimed to have written all of her music during a fiery livestream, earlier this week. While performing on stage, she shouted out, “Who ain’t write it… who ain’t write it,” several times over as the song played.

As the clip circulated on social media, fans had mixed responses to the feud. Many on X (formerly Twitter) joked about how small the crowd for Karrahboo’s show was. “Wow all 10 ppl got to hear what she said abt yachty at her show,” one user remarked. Another wrote: “She should be ashamed of herself. We literally saw boat’s voice recordings.”

Yachty went off on Karrahboo amid rumors that she left the Concrete Boys. She was noticeably absent from the group’s recent performance at Broccoli City Festival. “I wrote every f*cking verse you’ve done,” Yachty claimed in his rant, “I dressed you, I dressed all five of y’all n****s bro. I dressed five n****s every time we stepped out the house, I put an outfit on everybody, I put eight carats of earrings on everybody ear, I put three chains on all y’all neck. We bought a Cartier watch. I gave you that chrome Rolex, bro. You was waiting tables… What are we talking about n***a? I changed your mother f*cking life and you are here lying, talking about some: ‘We bully you’… That sh*t got me f*cked up, bro. You got me f*cked up, bro, you disrespectful, bro. You talk to people crazy, you tell people that they are nothing, you tell people you’re going to spit on them, you tell people they poor and you talk to my f*cking label crazy, you claim I was stealing money…”

Karrahboo Responds To Lil Yachty

He also leaked an apparent reference track he made for her Rap Radar appearance. Karrahboo wasn’t the only person Yachty went after. He was also furious with his A Safe Place podcast co-host Mitch. Be on the lookout for further updates on Karrahboo and Lil Yachty on HotNewHipHop.

Kendrick Lamar Has Drake Fans Feeling Bored After “Not Like Us” Breaks Another Record

Here we go again… Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has broken yet another Spotify record once held by his rival Drake’s 2018 hit, “God’s Plan.” This time, it’s for the fastest rap song ever to surpass 700 million streams on the platform, and you probably already know the discourse around it. K.Dot fans are rejoicing in the victory, and OVO fans want Kendrick to thank the 6ix God for his success. Either way, both groups are arguing with each other over pointless numbers talk. Nothing will change the Compton lyricist’s victory, and it would take about 85 more tracks of this level of success to even begin to creep up on the Toronto superstar’s numbers on DSPs.

What’s more is that their post-beef movement is also further polarizing fans into making judgement calls about the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, confusing their preference for either artist as analysis on the isolated battle itself. The former popped out for a Juneteenth show and music video, keeping quiet throughout it all. The latter just dropped a new set of tracks which many believe he’s using to try to revive his various 2024 feuds. So folks are either labeling this as desperate or are fully content with just the existence of new music regardless of quality… Such is the state of public discourse in this year’s music culture.

Kendrick Lamar Breaks Another “God’s Plan” Spotify Record

Kendrick Lamar fans even pointed to him predicting some of Drake’s new angles on these IG drops, although that’s just a speculative theory up for interpretation. That’s just one example of how this beef became more about fans versus fans rather than rapper versus rapper ever since “The Heart Part 6” dropped. Another is how Drizzy’s every move has fallen victim to public scrutiny, irremovable from the context of the battle in many’s eyes. Much like Big vs. ‘Pac and Jay vs. Nas before them, we’re now at the exhausting point in which the least talked about parts of their rivalry are their actual lyrics against each other.

For hip-hop culture and music fans at large, this is a pretty disappointing level of animosity. At least many folks instead focused on both the gang unity that Kendrick Lamar promoted and on Drake’s commitment to giving fans what they love from him. But for every new record that “Not Like Us” breaks in the future – and trust us, it will – fans will once again display their blind support in full colors. Many lines from the battle have aged like fine wine, but “Hey, Drake, they’re not slow” is certainly on the opposite end of the spectrum for both extreme fanbases.

2 Chainz’s Son Halo Asks Latto About Ice Spice Beef To Hilarious Results

2 Chainz’s young son Halo recently “rizzed up” Latto and got her number, but that doesn’t mean she’s safe from his tough questions. Moreover, she was recently a guest on the father and son duo’s Me & Halo podcast, and the eight-year-old didn’t hold back in the interviewer’s seat. “Um, is it true you got beef with Ice Spice?” “Oh my God, here we go,” the Atlanta femcee remarked. “Halo, what in the world?!” his father asked incredulously, albeit with a smile on his face. Whether they scripted this for engagement or not, she gave a pretty diplomatic answer concerning this light rap feud.

“Let me tell you something, Halo,” Latto answered. “I don’t got a problem with nobody ’cause beef is a different thing, you feel me? That’s a whole different type of conversation. I ain’t got no beef with nobody, I don’t got a problem with nobody for real. *laughs* I ain’t got no problem with nobody for real, for real, it ain’t like that.” 2 Chainz joked about Halo being “messy” on a show about love and asked where he even got that information from. Check out the full episode and the full interaction about the alleged Ice Spice beef by clicking the “Via” link down below.

Well, it’s likely that Halo might have spotted Latto’s own words on Ice Spice. “If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like I’ma go tit for tat with,” she expressed in a recent Billboard interview when asked about the feud. “I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’ Everybody gon’ take their lil jabs in the music, and it’s not even that serious to me. I feel like you should do that. Continue to! But as far as actual whole diss records to each other, I don’t think she would even want to do that. Would it even make sense?”

Meanwhile, here’s what Ice Spice had to say about Latto during an interview of her own. “I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’” she told Rolling Stone. “It’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me. I can understand a friendly competition. But I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out. And it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the S**t’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of s**t cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me … again.”

Karrahbooo Claps Back At Lil Yachty Following His Viral Tirade

The relationship between Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo is over, after the former went absolutely nuclear on Instagram Live. Lil Boat usually doesn’t get too explosive on social media often. However, the Karrahbooo fan who disclosed that she was bullied out of the group obviously had him feeling some type of way. So, he promptly took to social media to leave Karrahbooo’s entrails all over the internet. Yachty called out her character and even went as far as to claim that he “dressed” her, writing almost all of her songs/verses.

“”Bro, go ahead [and tell] people how you talk to people… You talk to people like they were nothing. Like they’re small, like they’re beneath you”. He took it even further, giving allegedly real interactions. “How you told me you ‘gon spit on me when you see me. Your brain is clinically imbalanced”. Then, a little later, he went for the killshot. “I’ve given you a career and time and time you just disrespect me. “I wrote every f***ing verse you’ve done, I dressed you… I been letting you do this whole thing where you act like you a princess”. Yachty then concluded with, “Ichanged your motherf***ing life. You out here lying”.

Now, about a day or so later, Karrahbooo is standing up for herself. She issued her response on an IG Story in attempt to disprove Yachty’s bold songwriting assertion. “Put it on yo kid I ain’t write these songs Miles (Lil Yachty’s government first name) – __ – stop da cap and leave me out ur internet shenanigans 😂”. She then showed two songs that she claims to have penned on her own, “Running Late” and “WHERE YO DADDY?”. She then finished off the post with, “Stop bullying me big dawg 😂 I never said nothing u letting random fans get in yo head man up”. She might be feeling she did something, but all fans can do is laugh at what they see as a feeble clap back.

” So her response is… “HA, I wrote 2 songs!” 😂”, one user replies. “Bruuuuuh she steadying saying this man bullying her by calling out facts. Yall don’t see she clearly the problem?”, another adds. Regardless of where you stand, the ball is now in Yachty’s court. What are your thoughts on Karrahbooo’s response to Lil Yachty’s recent claims on Instagram Live? Do you think she did enough to disprove her former label head’s statements, why or why not? Do you foresee Lil Boat issuing a response? What do you think led him to lash out against her and Mitch? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Karrahbooo and Lil Yachty. Drake Seemingly Mocks Kendrick Lamar On New Song “Circadian Rhythm”

Drake does not mention anybody by name on “Circadian Rhythm.” The song refers to “they” during the rapper’s verses, but the context is crucial. Drake is finally talking about the Kendrick Lamar battle on wax again, and he wants to make it clear he’s not bothered. “Circadian Rhythm” is dedicated to this concept. The 6 God flips the meaning of the title to point out that he’s still “up” when his competition is down. He hasn’t lost a step, per his bars. There are specific lines littered throughout, though, that seem specifically aimed at K. Dot.

“How many quotes I wrote? How much gold I struck? Ayy,” Drake raps during second verse. “How many funeral dates they plan for me, and I dodged it like the truck? Yeah.” The funeral dates seem like a fairly pointed reference to Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out Show on Juneteenth. The concert was dubbed a funeral for Drake online, due to how much Lamar celebrating onstage. He played “Not Like Us” a whopping five times to close out the show. Drake’s rebuttal? He’s still here, still alive despite Dot’s best efforts.

Drake’s Title References A Kendrick Lamar Diss Track

It’s also worth noting the use of the phrase “Circadian Rhythm.” It’s never said once during the song. A song in which it is said, though, is Kendrick Lamar’s “6:16 In L.A.” The Compton rapper pulled out these specific words on his second official Drake diss. “I know this type of power is gon’ cost,” Dot raps. “But I live in circadian rhythms of a shooting star.” Drake and Kendrick Lamar are not artists who do things by accident. Everything is intentional with them, so it’s hard to imagine this is a mere coincidence. The title of the song also prove important with regards to Drake’s past.

The rapper subtitled “Circadian Rhythm” as “The Language 2.” This is obviously in reference to his 2013 song, “The Language.” The connection is noteworthy, because the original song is believed to be Drake’s response to Kendrick Lamar after the latter dropped the “Control” verse. Drizzy and Kenny were involved in a cold war in 2013, and the former clearly sends subs the latter’s way. “I don’t know why they’ve been lying but your sh*t is not that inspiring,” he raps. “F*ck any n**ga that’s talkin’ that sh*t just to get a reaction.” Time really is a flat circle.

Drake Fires Back At Rappers Who Dissed Him On New Song “No Face”

Drake is keeping it moving. The dust has barely settled on the rapper’s “100 GIGS” release, and now we have three new songs. A lot of the attention will go to “Supersoak,” the anticipated Lil Yachty leak that no longer features Lil Yachty. That said, “No Face” has the most fascinating bars. Drake and Playboi Carti go back and forth on a hard rage beat. Carti does his thing, per usual. Drake, however, takes the time to call out the rappers who dissed him in 2024. It’s a long list, and the Toronto superstar decides to side swipe them all with a couple lines.

We’ve heard Drake go the detailed route. “Push Ups” and “Family Matters” were instances of him dissing each of his enemies specifically. He found time to poke fun at The Weeknd, Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, and of course, Kendrick Lamar. “No Face” opts for a different approach. The 6 God decides to go vague with it, and hint at what’s to come. “I’m just so happy,” he raps. “That n**gas who envied and held that sh*t in got to finally show it.” The second line, though, is more ominous. “I’m over the moon, yeah, we’ll see you boys soon,” Drake adds. This isn’t the only time on “No Face” the 6 God decides to address what went down between him and the rest of the rap game.

Drake Tells His Enemies That He’ll See Them “Soon”

Much has been made about Drake’s diminishing ability to make hits. The “Drake stimulus package” that ran R&B and hip hop for over a decade has been labeled obsolete. The rapper doesn’t much care for that take. He reminds everyone that he helped people like Ross, Rocky, and The Weeknd blow up. “This is the sh*t that my daddy had raised me on. N**gas got lit off the features I skated on,” he spits. “I gotta know, I gotta know. How you get lit off the n**ga you hatin’ on?” Drake is planning something big, and the bulk of his verse at the something without every revealing what it is.

The rest of Drake’s first verse bears this out. He even makes reference to the advice that people like OVO 40 have been giving him behind closed doors. “40 keep sayin’ it’s time to be patient,” he explains. “It’s so many people we turnin’ the tables on. Capo got plans, but we’ll save that for later on. Hush’ll keep sayin’ they know that they played it wrong.” The 6 God is definitely back on his subliminal game. We’re curious and excited to see where the rest of Drake’s 2024 goes.

Hurricane Chris Claims He’s Cool With 50 Cent After Dissing Him In Viral Rant

Hurricane Chris has had a rollercoaster week. The rapper went viral for criticizing 50 Cent’s Humor & Harmony Festival in Shreveport, Louisiana. He appreciated the love (and the money) 50 brought to the city, but lamented the fact that no local artists were involved. Hurricane Chris, for context, was born and raised in Shreveport. He labeled 50 Cent a “culture vulture” for his antics. He also took the G-Unit rapper to task for spending $500K on law enforcement during the four day festival. After a few days, though, the rapper had a change of heart.

Hurricane Chris clarified his feelings toward 50 Cent on August 22. He told KSLA News 12 that he has no personal issues with the G-Unit rapper, and felt like he’d been misunderstood. Calling someone “culture vulture” seems pretty pointed, but we digress. “It’s no hate,” Hurricane Chris told the outlet. “It’s all love, but I must voice my opinion because I been here, and I been in Shreveport.” The rapper went on to note that his negative comments toward 50 was a “big misunderstanding.” He even said that he’d be willing to collaborate with the rapper at some point in the future.

Hurricane Chris Is Open To Collaborating With 50 Cent

The real issue Hurricane Chris had with the event was the lack of local exposure. He appreciated what 50 was doing for his hometown. He just felt like hometown artists should have been present. “[Shreveport does] have artists,” the rapper told the outlet. “A lot of artists, more artists than that I can’t even name that would rock stages like that. It’s not about me.” Hurricane Chris once again made sure that he was square with 50 following his viral remarks. “I definitely had no malice,” he concluded. “It was just me wanting to see my community be respected… I was in one of those moods.”

50 Cent didn’t respond to Hurricane Chris’ retraction, but he did respond to the rapper’s initial disses. 50 responded exactly the way you would expect: memes and mockery. The G-Unit mastermind fired back at Hurricane Chris by dubbing him a one-hit wonder. “Oh no you not gonna play that one song you got,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Bay Bay just went on stage wit Master P.” In a separate IG Story, 50 Cent flat out called Chris wack. “Boy ya sh*t is wack,” he wrote. “Ya sh*t gets no play in my ride.” Hurricane Chris definitely picked a fight with the wrong guy. Hopefully 50 agrees to bury the hatchet.

Lil Yachty Crashes Out On Karrahbooo & Mitch In Explosive IG Live Rant: Unpacking The Beef

Lil Yachty’s Concrete Boys crew might not be as solid as he thought. That’s especially the case after the rapper hopped on Instagram Live on Thursday night to air out his associates and signees. Despite pledging to stay off the internet for the remainder of the year, Yachty is still keeping tabs on social media narratives, whether or not they are true.

In the late hours of Thursday night, Lil Yachty went on a full-blown rant on Instagram Live where he aired out Karrahbooo for alleged comments she made about her split from Concrete Boys to a Red Lobster employee. Sounds crazy, right? Unfortunately, it didn’t end there as Yachty shifted his fury toward his best friend and A Safe Space co-host Mitch for not defending him against a random Twitter user claiming that the Atlanta rapper is a bad friend. A lot unravelled over a few hours so here’s everything you need to know about the beef so far.

Karrahbooo’s Departure From Concrete Boys

Before we delve into last night’s shenanigans, it’s important to highlight the beginning of this issue. In late July, fans speculated that Karrahbooo left the crew after fans found that she unfollowed her labelmates. Though it was initially rumors, the “Poland” star confirmed that she was, in fact, not a part of the collective anymore. “I’ma say this sh*t one time,” Yachty said on Instagram Live. “We have split ways with Karrah as far as this Concrete sh*t. I have nothing to say. Nothing bad to say, nothing negative to say about Karrah. I wish her the best in her career. That’s that. … I don’t have anything really bad to say or anything good to say. We just split, you know?”

Friction On The Timeline

It turns out that Yachty had plenty of negative things to say that were weighing on his chest. He just needed something minor to trigger the emotions that had been bottled up. The issues with Karrahbooo seemingly took a turn for the worse after an alleged Red Lobster employee claimed that Karrah pulled up to the restaurant when she was asked about leaving Concrete.

“Bro she walked in my job (red lobster) to order biscuits and I asked her why she left and she immediately corrected me and said I didn’t leave they kicked me out,” user @C_Staxxz wrote. “Saying they were really mean to her and bullying her a lot.” The user then added her own speculation to the mix, writing, “She seemed really hurt behind ts tbh like they really did her dirty and i believe its because her name was the biggest behind yachty if we being real I only started listening to him again because of her. They’re haters and i told her she’ll do just fine without them. F*ck em.” She also added a photo with Karrahbooo to corroborate that the rapper did pull up to Red Lobster.

Mind you, Karrahbooo herself didn’t mention anything on the Internet, and much of the tweet was primarily speculation. Plus, no one can really verify whether Karrah said these things. Ultimately, there’s clearly tension between the two, and neither particularly wanted to spill into the public eye.

The Mitch Situation Unfolds

Just a day before this tweet regarding Karrah emerged, A Safe Space released a new episode alongside Key Glock who witnessed Yachty violating his co-host, Mitch. In a clip that circulated across X/Twitter, Yachty took credit for Mitch’s success, going as far as claiming his co-host wouldn’t have anything going in life it weren’t for him. Glock kept mum throughout the segment. However, a fan clipped that part of the episode and wrote, “Lil Yachty disrespecting his friend in front of Key Glock.” At the time of writing, the clip gained 9.7M views while a repost of the clip siding with Mitch garnered 901K.

“Mitch. Lil Yachty is not your homie. There’s a time and place to have these conversations. Not on a podcast in front of millions of people to dissect and observe. This is lame as f*ck,” the tweet read. “Don’t do favors for people and then hold it over their head. That’s foul as f*ck.”

Lil Yachty Pulls Receipts On Karrahbooo

Yachty laid it all out during his Instagram Live last night, beginning with Karrahbooo, who he claimed was verbally abusive, entitled, and lacked any rap skills His explosive rant initially denied claims that she was bullied before pivoting over to her catalog of music, which he said he wrote entirely and even provided receipts. “I slowed the beat down, I put 808s specifically on your verse so when it got to your part and the beat dropped, everyone would be like, ‘this girl is the craziest one,” he said in reference to her debut freestyle on On The Radar. He later shared the reference track to back his claim.

“I wrote every f*cking verse you’ve done… I dressed you. I dressed all five of y’all n***as bro. I dressed five n***as every time we stepped out the house. I put an outfit on everybody. I put eight carats of earrings on everybody ear. I put three chains on all y’all neck,” he continued. “I changed your mother f*cking life and you are here lying, talking about some: ‘We bully you’… That shit got me f*cked up, bro. You got me f*cked up, bro. You disrespectful, bro. You talk to people crazy. You tell people that they are nothing. You tell people you’re going to spit on them. You tell people they poor and you talk to my f*cking label crazy. You claim I was stealing money.” He also alleged that she put Concrete $900K in the hole and he never recouped on his investment.

Mitch Catches Strays

Quite frankly, this aspect of the entire rant didn’t paint Yachty in the best light. Once again, the powers of social media broke Yachty completely as he bashed Mitch for failing to address random social media users criticizing him. In fact, Yachty’s emotions completely took control of him to the point where he decided to cancel their podcast abruptly. First, he explained that Mitch approached him to do a podcast, which Yachty obliged, in order to help his co-host and friend build a platform.

“I ain’t want to do no motherf*cking podcast n***a, I’m a f*cking rapper… I put $400,000 in Mitch pocket,” he said. “I ain’t f*ckin’ with Mitch, bro. I been sleep all day, I wake up to this crazy sh*t. I say, ‘Mitch, how the f*ck you ain’t go on the internet and tell these folks that we playin’, bruh?’” According to Boat, Mitch downplayed the situation, allegedly claiming, “It’s Twitter, bruh. You know how they is.” Yachty then cussed out Mitch for not defending him on the Internet against strangers and subsequently decided to cancel the podcast. “All I do is help people, bruh. I don’t get nothing from none of this sh*t,” Yachty added.

Mitch Clears The Air

In a series of tweets, Mitch finally addressed the narrative surrounding his relationship with Boat. “please don’t let that clip misguide you it doesn’t represent me and yachty’s friendship at all we joke around pretty harsh sometimes too much fr sometimes but irl it’s nothing but respect and love i can’t even get on here and act like it’s not,” he said.

Later, he made it clear that he has always had his own thing going on, even before meeting Lil Yachty. “i ain’t nobody lil bro never been check my history i had stats before i met bro and got even more now, all i ever wanted to do was just focus on the music and being involved in the culture in a positive way i hope none of this hinders that,” he wrote.

Lil Yachty Clashes With Mitch’s Ex/Cousin?

Though it seemed like the dust had settled, a new party entered the chat: Mitch’s supposed ex, Camille. Sharing a voice note to social media, she slammed Yachty for his alleged treatment of Mitch over the years. “Like, I been telllin’ Mitch you’re a bogus ass n***a. I been sayin’ that sh*t ‘cause you are. You are a bogus ass n***a,” she said. Then, she threatened to pull out receipts backing up everything she said.

In response, Yachty quickly tweeted and deleted a voice note refuting her claims. While Camille claimed that Mitch took on a managerial role for Yachty and often had to be in meetings, Yachty said that his co-host had been lying to her the whole time. He went on to say that Mitch only used Camille for a place to stay before revealing that she was, in fact, the cousin that Mitch claimed to have slept with during an episode of A Safe Space podcast. She later fired back on Twitter Spaces.

DJ Akademiks Eviscerates Yung Miami For Making Fun Of Joe Budden’s Gold Plaque

DJ Akademiks had some strong words for Yung Miami following her viral clowning of Joe Budden’s “Pump It Up” going Gold two decades after its release. Moreover, the streamer took issue with her laughter, saying that Budden has benefitted more from his career than she ever will from her own. Also, Ak posited that the former City Girl doesn’t even write any of her own lyrics, and that she shouldn’t be making fun of artists like this. In addition, he also said that she isn’t getting support from her label and that people don’t want to write for her anymore.

Elsewhere, this is what DJ Akademiks said of Yung Miami’s alleged involvement in her former boo Diddy’s legal situation. “With all due respect, you are a pretty girl,” he posited on his livestream. “But there’s a lot of pretty girls. Beauty, especially seeing all these girls get lip fillers, they’re wearing fake hair. That ain’t their hair, right? They get some implants, they put their t***ies up to their neck.

DJ Akademiks Blasts Yung Miami For Ridiculing Joe Budden

“Like, it’s easy to create the idea of beauty that a man would be appealed by,” DJ Akademiks went on. “So what makes you special? Is it because you have some fame? No, Diddy’s messed with way more famous women than you. He had J. Lo, for God’s sakes. What makes you special? I’m going to tell you. If you disagree with me, it’s because you don’t know no n***as in the industry. Because I talk to these n***as. Like, what is it about this girl?

“You know what they say?” DJ Akademiks finalized. “A chick like Yung Miami… She do everything. Put it like this: self-respect is the kryptonite of rich n***as. Women: self-respect is the kryptonite of rich n***as. They don’t want to be around you when you’re saying, ‘Ah, I’m not doing that.’ The women who are in the game, they know this, too. If you want to get in the game, first, you got to hit that plateau of how good you look. Once you’re above the bar on how good you look, how far you go with these men in the industry will revolve around how little you say ‘No.’”

DJ Akademiks Defends Nicki Minaj’s Possible Explanation For Her Ice Spice Beef

Nicki Minaj recently sparked a whole lot of fan speculation with some recent moves that some Barbz interpreted as shade towards Ice Spice. For those unaware, the former unfollowed the latter on Instagram and then told fans to stop asking questions about “other people” amid this drama. As such, many put two and two together, but this equation doesn’t really confirm whether or not there are real issues at play here. Nevertheless, DJ Akademiks recently responded to this during his livestream, defending the Trinidadian MC for her choices and for the way in which she’s conducting business with these artists.

Of course, Ak’s main point of defense for Nicki Minaj’s treatment of Ice Spice was to compare her to her Young Money partner and his fav, Drake. He said that Drizzy rubs a lot of artists the wrong way for taking control of publishing and masters, but the media personality justified this through the notion of the “Drake stimulus package.” He’s already defended this model to death before, so it’s no surprise that he understands why Nicki is moving in the way she’s moving. To be clear, this approach from a massive artist to a relatively smaller one isn’t necessarily an automatic point of condemnation, as any sort of deal in the music industry can turn sour if executed irresponsibly.
