Nicki Minaj Claims She Never Hired Kelsey Harris Amid Megan Thee Stallion Beef

Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion had a pretty nasty falling out earlier this year after a long history of subliminals and tension. Moreover, things became complicated – as rap beefs tend to evolve – thanks to the associations of each femcee and how they combated each other. For example, fans expressed shock and curiosity when Kelsey Harris, Meg’s former best friend, promoted Nicki’s shoe line on the Internet. Many took this as a direct dig at Thee Stallion, but the Trinidadian spitter recently took to Twitter to clear the air and elaborate on how she isn’t as petty as some fans assumed.

“The fact that @TheShadeRoom posted this LIE 5 days ago & im just now finding out,” Nicki Minaj tweeted on Sunday night (October 6). “chiiiiii LOL!!!!!!! I love being booked & busy. ‘Models for my collection’? She posted a photo in my sneakers. Me, nor my company knew anything about it until she posted it. So she did what many ppl did when they received my sneakers, they posted a photo in them. Kelsey def went all the way out with this professional looking backdrop tho…but she is in no way professionally connected to my sneaker brand.

Nicki Minaj Speaks On Kelsey Harris

“No matter what yall pay the Shaderoom to post, plz remember that I did a sold out record breaking tour. And was then ASKED to do a 2nd leg,” Nicki Minaj continued. “Too busy & too successful for the clownery. These calculated, planned stories & narratives everytime yall gotta promote is only make me feel even more like I’m that B!CH!!!!! no confidence in your talents & abilities as labels to sell albums or ANYTHING. So you waste money & energy on this. #GagCityMIAMI TONIGHT!!!! Btw, did Kelsey not tell them she wasn’t modeling for the line barbz? Did she just let them think that? I gotta get caught up yall. lol chiiiiiii WOO WEE!!!!!!!! BOOF ON. MAKEUP CHAIR.”

Meanwhile, another Nicki Minaj-related debunk emerged recently. Cardi B clapped back at folks who claimed she was stealing her memes. That seems like quite the ridiculous thing to argue over, but then again, there’s a lot of history making these small rifts loom large.

Asian Doll Goes Off On Toosii After His Viral Rant About Rappers’ Girlfriends Becoming Famous

Asian Doll addressed Toosii’s recent social media rant about the girlfriends of rappers becoming famous by calling him out on X (formerly Twitter). In doing so, she labeled him “weird” and a “hater” while accusing him of hating on his ex-girlfriend. “You literally went & got your high school crush pregnant which was a cute regular girl who did lashes, you showed her off to your platform of millions of fans, put her in your music videos, brought her on stage while you performed to her..now you mad she got fame gm N****S IS WEIRD & HATERS!!!” she wrote in one since-deleted post.

Although she scrubbed that post from her page, she eventually retweeted a screenshot of it while adding more comments. In another post, she wrote: “Watch who yall date cause n****s be so mad about your come up but wanted you to stay down for his.” In others, she questioned his sexuality.

You will find b**ches being celebrities, and you don’t even know what the f**k they do. They’re just somebody’s girlfriend or [baby’s mother]. That s**t is crazy. They don’t got a product they’re selling. They don’t do nothing. They don’t got nothing going on. LA Dodgers Use Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” As Anthem For Postseason

The L.A. Dodgers are using Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” as the anthem for their 2024 postseason. The organization featured the song in a hype video with Anthony Anderson that they titled, “They Not Like Us – Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 Postseason.”

When the video made its way to X (formerly Twitter), hip-hop fans had plenty to say about the move. “This year just gets longer and longer for the Canadian,” one fan wrote. Another posted: “Drake still getting cooked I love to see it.” Others joked about Anthony Anderson starring in the hype video: “Anthony Anderson pulled one of the greatest covers, for years I thought dude was from Chicago, come to find out he From Compton.” One user brought up JAY-Z selecting Lamar to perform at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. “And this is why Jay-Z picked him for the Super Bowl!! Not a dodgers fan, but this is dope!!” they wrote.

JAY-Z announced that Kendrick Lamar will be performing at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, last month, causing a stir on social media. Many hip-hop fans had hoped that he’d give the platform to Lil Wayne, considering his hometown of New Orleans is hosting the game. In confirming Lamar as the headliner, JAY-Z described the rapper as “a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” in a statement. “His deep love for Hip-Hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come,” he added.

Drake Airs Out Fake Friends At Toronto Club After Future, Rick Ross & Kendrick Lamar Battle

Drake has some things to get off his chest. He recently pulled up to the Nostalgia nightclub in Toronto to have a good time, and even grabbed the mic to share some words as the crowd talked over him. Of course, you probably didn’t even need to read this headline to take a guess at what the 6ix God was talking about. Whether it’s long-standing on-and-off-again rivalries like The Weekend, blindsided switch-ups like Future, or his contentious cold war with Kendrick Lamar, he has a lot of “fake friends” to air out scathingly within the hip-hop industry and even beyond.

“One things about nostalgia, this party here?” Drake’s rant began. “My real friends are definitely in the building. But I’m going to tell you. You’re going to come to a point in life where people you thought were friends or people you thought were close to you, they might switch up. They might try to move funny with you. They might stab you in the back, they might do a lot of things to you. You’ll come to that realization, wherever you’re at in life. You’ve probably been there and you’ll be there again, that’s how life is. But look, sometimes, it’s you and you alone by yourself. Sometimes it’s you alone with your thoughts.”

Drake’s Rant

However, not every open wound in Drake’s life is getting lemon squeezed over it right now. Kanye West recently thanked Drake at his show in China for writing the chorus to “Yikes.” Their rivalry has also taken a lot of twists and turns over the years, and we doubt that process is over. With that in mind, even though this looks nice, we doubt that the Toronto superstar took it kindly.

Even LeBron James is allegedly anti-OVO these days, a speculative theory that both Drake himself and his hardcore fans are making mountains out of molehills with. Yet this new rant begs a question. Will we ever really find out what happened behind the scenes with all these industry relationships? We have no idea, but odds are that fans will theorize over this for decades to come.

Joe Budden Responds To DDG’s Jabs Amid Halle Bailey Breakup Drama

Last week, DDG hopped online to announce that he and Halle Bailey broke up. He posted a touching statement, in which he described the Little Mermaid star as his “best friend” despite the split. The announcement has prompted reactions from countless social media users and peers since, including Joe Budden.

During a recent episode of his podcast, Budden weighed in on the breakup and threw some serious shade DDG’s way. According to him, he doesn’t know who DDG is outside of his relationship with Bailey. “Who the f*ck is DDG and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything?” he wondered. “Every time I see his name, it’s attached to hers, and it’s typically in some clout chaser fashion. So that makes me look at him a different way, and hopefully, I get to look at him a lot less now that they’ve broken up.”

Cardi B Claps Back At ATL Jacob After Back & Forth On Social Media

Cardi B fired back at ATL Jacob in a comment on Instagram, earlier this week, accusing him of talking “slick” about her in an interview with The Baller Alert Show. In a clip of the interview, Jacob claims that he never intended to disrespect the Invasion of Privacy rapper on social media. Cardi had misinterpreted a tweet he posted as being directed at her.

“This is third time he said some slick sh*t about me ….My babydad had to press him bout it before Now he wanna act dumb cause I DIRECTLY addressed him. Lame ass why shade me in the first place if you ain’t aoina to stand on,” Cardi wrote in her latest comment. As for what Jacob had to say during the interview, he explained: “I never shaded her. I didn’t even know there was drama going on when I tweeted. It was just a misunderstanding, and I respect Cardi and Offset too much to go back and forth.” He concluded: “As a man, I don’t go back and forth with women. It was all just confusion.”

His instrumentals alone better than any Cardi song.” Another wrote: “Take some time away from social media and stop feeding clout chasers, ignore them. Rich Homie Quan Posthumously Disses Gunna On New Song “One Of Quan”

Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug made magic together on wax. The duo, under the moniker Rich Gang, dropped the classic single “Lifestyle” in 2014. Tensions got in the way, leading to some distance over the years, but the two artists always had respect for each other. It’s tragic, then to see what was happened to both men. Rich Homie Quan has passed, and Thug is currently being tried on a RICO charge. They’ll never get to the chance to reconcile on record, and resurrect Rich Gang (or a version of it). That said, it was obvious that Quan still felt the need to take Thug’s side when it came to Gunna.

Gunna’s actions during the YSL trial has led many rappers to look at him sideways. Many believe he took a plea deal and effectively left his label boss holding the bag. This has opened him up to several disses. Young Thug’s kids went after him on social media. Kendrick Lamar used him as a negative example on the song “Euphoria.” And Rich Homie Quan, who recently put out the posthumous album, Forever Goin’ In. has gotten in to the trend. The rapper really went after Gunna on the song “One of Quan,” right down to riffing on the title of the recent Gunna album, One of Wun.

Rich Homie Quan Accused Gunna Of Biting His Style

The song sees Rich Homie Quan address the allegation that he stole Gunna’s flow and used it on several of his albums. His rebuttal? Fans had it twisted. As far as he was concerned, Gunna bite from him. “They probably gon think I took over Gunna flow, but this my cadence and I made it,” he angrily raps. “N**gas was stealing the swag I was just sitting back and I wouldn’t even say sh*t.” Not only does he claim that the YSL stalwart jacked his style, but he claims he wasn’t even bothered enough to call him out. You’d think a diss like this would garner more attention, but it’s only because another rapper dissed Gunna on the same exact night.

The day that Rich Homie Quan’s posthumous album dropped, Ferg dropped the single “Allure.” The song featured a guest verse from Future, another longtime friend of Young Thug. His Gunna disses were even more savage than Quan’s. Future Hendrix implied that a premature death is awaiting Gunna because of what he did to Young Thug, and he doesn’t even dress the sentiment up with euphemisms. He just flat out says it. “You done took a plea on my slime,” Future spits. “Won’t be surprised if you ended up dead.” Gunna is getting it from every direction these days. No wonder he’s in the gym so often.

50 Cent Ruthlessly Clowns Diddy Again After Old Clip Resurfaces: Watch

50 Cent has never hid his disdain for Diddy. He was seemingly ahead of the curve by a couple of years, as everybody in the music industry has resorted to mocking the Bad Boy mogul. Given the allegations made against him, the mockery makes sense. 50 Cent is the originator, however. An interview began to circulate of Friday, October 4, and it dated back to 2018. Diddy wasn’t involved, but he was the topic of conversation. 50 Cent then reposed the clip and threw in some more digs at the mogul in the caption.

The interview took place on The Breakfast Club. 50 Cent was promoting the film Den of Thieves along with his co-stars, O’Shea Jackson, Jr. and Gerard Butler. The other two had more prominent roles in the film, but it’s obvious that 50 is leading the interview. The whole line of questioning has to do with 50’s disdain for Diddy. Charlamagne tha God then proceeds to read a comment that the rapper made with regards to Diddy. “Sorry I can no longer help you guys,” the comment stated. “Soon you will all be gay and happy. You are all now left under the leadership of Puffy Daddy. Report to the nearest rainbow.”

50 Cent Joked About Diddy’s Sexuality On Instagram

The comment drew laughter from everybody in the room. 50 Cent, never one to miss an opportunity to troll, doubled down on his 2018 roast in the caption. “I just want to apologize for being heterosexual,” he wrote. “I understand it’s offensive these days. I’m sorry I was born this way, I hope you can accept me in the new world.” 50 has repeatedly alluded to Diddy’s sexuality over the years, and another viral clip saw him roast the mogul for trying to take him shopping. “I thought that was the weirdest sh*t in the world,” he recalled. “Because that might be something that a man says to a woman.”

50 Cent is, of course, laughing all the way to the bank. The rapper is currently in the midst of working on a Diddy documentary for Netflix. The documentary sold for an undisclosed amount, but 50 is excited to spread the word. “This is a story with significant human impact,” the rapper told Variety. “It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.”

Gunna Teases New Song After Allegedly Being Dissed By Future

Gunna is in a strange place. He’s wildly successful, and his last album, One of Wun, was well liked by fans. He also has become a target for many rappers who once considered him a friend. He’s been on the outs with Young Thug ever since the YSL case was filed. Understandably so, since many believe that the rapper cut a deal to save his own neck. There’s nothing to prove this theory, but that hasn’t stopped the rappers on the outside from targeting Gunna. Future, a former friend, just did so on the song “Allure.” It hasn’t stopped Gunna from grinding, though. In fact, he seemingly responded by teasing new music.

Gunna posted a video on social media October 4. The video saw the rapper putting in work at the gym, while a previously unreleased song plays in the background. Gunna looks menacing as he runs on the treadmill, and the catchy instrumental underneath him helps. The snippet is produced by Turbo, and it has an extremely catchy hook courtesy of Gunna as well. We don’t get to hear more than 20 seconds of the song, but it’s a surprising revelation. One of Wun dropped on May 10, and Gunna already seems to be in the lab, cooking up something new.

Gunna Teased New Music During A Workout Video

The timing of this snippet seems intentional. There’s nothing in Gunna’s lyrics to suggest that he’s firing shots back at Future, but the turnaround is notable. It could have potentially been a tactical move to draw attention away from Pluto’s verse, and enthrall viewers with the possibility of new Gunna music instead. That said, Future’s bars on “Allure” are going to be tough to forget. The Ferg collab is extremely catchy, and Pluto damn near steals the show with a surprisingly combative verse. “You done took a plea on my slime,” the ATL icon spits. “Won’t be surprised if you ended up dead.”

Not a lot of reading between the lines needed on that one. Gunna and Future used to collaborate on a regular basis, but the latter’s fidelity to Young Thug has ended their relationship. Pluto considers Thug to be his twin, so there was no chance that a perceived enemy of Thug was going to remain in the rapper’s good graces. Still, Gunna is doing his thing. The rapper was recently honored, alongside LL Cool J and Usher, at the Black Music Action Coalition Gala.

For those unaware, the late Young Dolph’s artist Kenny Muney recently called out Ralo and DJ Akademiks for “clout chasing” his passing, as the former recently criticized Boosie Badazz for linking up with Yo Gotti. “All that playing click bait or whatever yall call that S**t in the name of my n***a it only last so long!!” Muney wrote on his Instagram Story. “it’s real [blood drop emoji] sweat n tears behind [dolphin emoji] yall want whatever it is yall want but yall ain’t tryna get no straightening bout my n***a quit speaking on situations wit them folks on the other side cause it ain’t a game!! if anybody know @youngdolph he don’t give a damn what nobody else doing or who f***in wit who let my n***a rest!!
