But it’s still a matter of major public interest. New intrigue was sparked earlier today when Lanez’s driver authored a letter. In the letter he claims that Megan’s ex-best friend Kelsey Harris was holding a gun the night of the shooting. While he doesn’t directly say that it was actually Harris and not Lanez who shot Megan, the implication is readily apparent.

Tory Lanez’s Bodyguard Insinuates Kelsey Harris Could Have Shot Megan Thee Stallion In New Letter

Tory Lanez’s driver and bodyguard, Jauquan Smith, recently submitted a new letter in the case of Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting. According to him, he wanted to testify during Lanez’s trial, but was prevented from doing so by the District Attorney. He identifies Lanez as his former employer as well as a “close personal friend.”

In his letter, Smith claims that he was acting as a driver for Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion, and Kelsey Harris on the evening of Kylie Jenner’s infamous 2020 party. He recalls Meg and Lanez getting into an argument in the car, which ultimately led her to get out and sit at a nearby bus stop. He says that Lanez got out of the vehicle to talk to her, and eventually, they both got back in the car.

Jauquan Smith Recalls Megan Thee Stallion Shooting

From there, Smith claims that their argument reignited, this time prompting some questions from Harris. According to him, Lanez then informed her that he and Meg were an item, which upset her due to their relationship. Allegedly, Harris and Meg then began to fight “both verbally and physically.” This prompted Smith to stop the car to break things up. At this point, he claims to have allegedly seen a gun in Harris’ hand. He says that Lanez ran towards Harris and struggled to get the weapon from her.

A shot was then fired, though he didn’t see who pulled the trigger. “The whole incident happened so quickly,” he says. “Within [just a] couple of minutes.” He claims to feel “lucky” to have not been injured, and adds that in his opinion, Meg was “fortunate” too. Megan Thee Stallion 1501 Trial: Kelsey Harris’ Boyfriend Subpoenaed

Megan Thee Stallion is currently fighting a court battle against her former label 1501 Certified Entertainment, involving planning purported diss tracks after the Tory Lanez situation and halting the release of new music. Previously, outlets reported that Carl Crawford and his company denied her motion for a deposition to dig deeper into the case. Now, court documents obtained by Radar Online indicate that the Houston MC’s attorneys took matters into their own hands. Moreover, they issued a subpoena demanding that Darien Smith, her former best friend Kelsey Harris’ boyfriend, sit for a deposition before trial begins on August 7. However, the label thinks that she’s looking for the wrong Darien Smith.

Furthermore, 1501 stated that Smith does not work at the label, and that Megan Thee Stallion is instead referring to Darrian Smith. Regardless, the Traumanize artist believes that Harris’ boyfriend has crucial information that could help her prove Carl Crawford and his associates’ wrongdoing. Not only that, but she alleged that Harris worked with 1501 to make a diss track, which the label also denied. Harris and Megan fell out after Tory Lanez shot the latter in the foot, resulting in a long and nasty feud in and outside the courtroom.

Instead of being a full-on employee at 1501, Crawford claimed that Darien Smith is an independent contractor. Rather than work for them, he manages one of their artists but keeps business separate. “The allegations that 1501 has ‘maliciously collaborated’ in a ‘campaign to disparage [Megan]’ are as ludicrous as [Megan’s] refusal to listen to 1501 when it told her long ago that she was after the wrong Darien Smith,” the label reportedly stated.

“The label said it has never refused ‘to produce a corporate representative’ to testify regarding its publishing claim,” it continued. “Instead, 1501 has repeatedly asked [Megan’s] counsel to articulate what testimony [Megan] is seeking so that it might present an appropriate witness.” This case certainly isn’t getting any easier to untangle. Megan Thee Stallion Requests Kelsey Harris’ Texts Mentioning Her Name Ahead Of 1501 Trial

It’s only been half a year since Megan Thee Stallion came out victorious in her Tory Lanez shooting trial. With another Hot Girl Summer looming, she’s now preparing to head back to court. This time Megan will be facing off against Carl Crawford, the head of her former label. According to documents recently obtained by Radar Online, the rap diva’s attorneys have filed a deposition demanding a motion to compel against her ex-BFF, Kelsey Harris. More specifically, they’re hoping to obtain texts exchanged between her and Lanez or Crawford using Megan’s name.

The motion was filed on Wednesday (May 31) and additionally asks that Kelsey answer questions under oath on videotape. On top of that, Thee Stallion wants answers as to whether the 1501 Certified Entertainment head approved her former friend’s “Bussin Back” diss track. As you may recall, the song was previously introduced as evidence in the aforementioned shooting trial.

Megan Thee Stallion is Ready to Face Her Ex-BFF in Court Again

According to HipHopDX, it’s unclear at this time if 1501 has filed a motion to quash the request. Earlier in the month, Thee Stallion’s legal team also submitted a motion to depose Darien Smith – an executive label who is currently dating Harris. The reason he’s been named is due to his alleged “first-hand knowledge” of the situation.

On top of the trauma she’s endured, the Houston hottie is apparently also having a hard time getting 1501 to comply with her “in good faith to schedule these depositions.” As of now, the trial is scheduled to begin on August 7, leaving both sides just a few months to get their affairs in order. Following a guilty verdict in the Tory Lanez trial, social media flooded with conversations surrounding new evidence and recordings. While many have questioned the morality behind such an interest, the high-profile case became more important with each passing week. Furthermore, photos surfaced online of injuries of Megan Thee Stallion’s ex best friend, Kelsey Harris.

Moreover, the pictures show injuries on her legs and hands, plus patches of what seems to be pulled-out hair, allegedly from the night of the shooting. While it may seem uncomfortable, in the comments section, many welcomed the new evidence. “Show me every bit of evidence they have,” one user wrote. “I want to see it all ! Thankyaverymuch.”

Also, Harris played a pivotal role in Lanez’s guilty verdict according to reporters and court officials. A leaked apology call from the Canadian artist to Kelsey showed his acknowledgement of what went down.

The Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion saga has almost come to an end. On Friday, December 23, Tory was found guilty on all three charges in his highly publicized case. Thus, in the coming weeks he will be sentenced on the following charges: assault with a semi-automatic firearm (personal use of a firearm); carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle; and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. 

Nevertheless, unwavering fans of the Canadian artist have reportedly started a petition to appeal his guilty verdict. According to crime reporter Meghann Cuniff, however, Tory’s verdict was decided by the infamous apology call he made to Kelsey. In a surprising turn of events, that alleged phone call has now made its way to the internet.

Tory Lanez’s infamous call to Kelsey from jail has now surfaced online. 

During the trial, Tory’s defense tried to pin Megan Thee Stallion’s former friend, Kelsey Nicole Harris, as the shooter. The attempt was ultimately unsuccessful, and now that Tory’s call to Kelsey from jail has leaked, fans may understand why.

At the beginning of the phone call, Tory Lanez checks on Megan and Kelsey’s well-being. Then he asks which hospital the Traumazine artist was being treated at. After getting that information, Tory then begins to apologize profusely.

“Regardless, I know she probably gonna never ever talk to me ever again, but bruh, I just want you to know bruh. Nigga, I was just so fucking drunk,” Tory Lanez confesses. “Nigga, I didn’t even know what the fuck was going on, bro. Dead ass. I didn’t even know what the fuck was going on, bro. Like dead ass, nigga.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s Bodyguard Justin Edison “Surrendered” To Authorities

After a week of speculation regarding Justin Edison, he surprisingly materialized today (December 23). The authorities have been attempting to locate Megan Thee Stallion’s bodyguard to no avail. However, ABC News reports Edison mysteriously reappeared after failing to show up to testify last Friday.

According to the outlet, “The family ‘surrendered’ Justin Edison on Friday, and prosecutors ‘are aware.’” Where he was remains a mystery for the time being, but insight was given about his return.

“He was found and bench warrant was recalled,” Attorney Michael Zweiback said. Edison reportedly “came forward today because of what was happening to his family.”

The bodyguard’s father recently told Good Morning America that he hadn’t heard from Edison since last Thursday.

“My hope is that [Justin] comes forward so that he doesn’t assume the risks that we discussed before,” Harold Edison shared with GMA. “I explained to him that this is not worth the risk … we must maintain our integrity.” He also noted that a SWAT team entered his home and placed him in handcuffs. The District Attorney’s office declined to comment about the incident.

“I really want this to stop. This is a clear abuse of law enforcement,” Harold added.

During the trial, text messages sent to Edison from Kelsey Harris were repeatedly mentioned. Immediately following the shooting, Harris reportedly texted the bodyguard, “Help Tory shot Meg 911.” However, Harris testified that she never saw Lanez shoot Megan and didn’t know why she sent the message to Edison.

Following yesterday’s proceedings, there were questions about whether or not Lanez would take the stand. It was stated that if so, he would open up a can of worms: his music videos and lyrics would be used as evidence.

An eye witness who lived near where the shooting occurred shook things up after they testified. Sean Kelly called the police after allegedly seeing the fray, and he was called as a defense witness. Yet, Kelly did anything but clear Lanez of responsibility.

He did, however, testify that he saw the first shot fired by a woman. Kelly also stated he witnessed Megan and Kelsey in a physical altercation. After Kelsey allegedly fired the first shot, Kelly said a short man shot at Megan multiple times, as well. It was argued by the defense that Lanez didn’t fire any shots.

Additionally, another report states that the fourth person with Megan, Lanez, and Harris was in court, but did not testify. It’s Day 6 of the Tory Lanez trial, and the week has kicked off with a bang. Megan Thee Stallion’s former stylist was said to have testified today. Additionally, reporter Meghann Cuniff stated, “There is an issue wth a juror that is being discussed in private.”

Cuniff added there wasn’t context given as to what the concern may have been. “But the juror, a younger light-skinned Black woman with braided hair and a style of dress that included pink cheetah print pants last week, was asked to stay behind.”

Later, it was reported that a juror was in an elevator with Lanez and his team on more than one occasion. James Queally of The Los Angeles Times wrote: “There was an ‘incident’ with a juror, per judge, but was not explained. But I did end up an elevator with Lanez, his security and PR folks today, and that specific juror was in there.”

“I did not see them talking or hear any discussion of the case.”

Queally also added that it would be the defense’s turn to lay their case out for the court. It was further stated that Kelsey Harris’ diss track to Megan, “Bussin Back,” would be entered into evidence. Therefore, her lyrics will be analyzed.
