The Game Praises Nicki Minaj’s “Big Foot,” Argues She Beat Megan Thee Stallion In Their Beef

The Game is picking Nicki Minaj over Megan Thee Stallion following their recent exchange of diss tracks. Speaking about the beef during an interview with VladTV, Game argued that “Big Foot” was a better song than “Hiss.”

He began: “I like ‘Big Foot.’ You know what? I like when she said, ‘Get on the good foot.’ I thought that was like a good punchline.” On the song, Nicki raps: “Bad b*tch, she like 6 foot, I call her Bigfoot/The b*tch fell off, I said ‘Get up on your good foot’” From there, Vlad brought up Tory Lanez shooting Megan, to which Game responded: “Exactly, or did she? Or did she not? I don’t know. I mean, I wasn’t there and neither were you.” After Vlad reminded Game about “Hiss,” the rapper added: “The thing about Megan’s Law is, didn’t that offend somebody or something?… In rap beefs, if you can keep it about the person, it kind of gives you an edge so I gotta give that one to Nicki.”

Megan kicked off the feud with Nicki by seemingly calling out her husband, Kenneth Petty, on the song, “Hiss.” In doing so, she made reference to him being a registered sex offender. “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan/These hoes mad at Megan’s Law”, she rapped. Megan Thee Stallion’s time in Japan for the 2024 Anime Awards has been a sight to witness. From her over-the-top costume changes and fun choreography collaboration, the “P*ssy Don’t Lie” rapper has been living it up. Yesterday (March 7), Megan dialed things up a notch with an interesting culinary experience.

While dining out, Megan recorded herself trying a shot of Habushu (or Habu Sake). Although Megan enjoys a great cognac every now and again, this liqueur was no ordinary adult beverage. In fact, the slithering wine shot was poured directly from a bottle with an actual dead snake in it.

The video captioned: “LOL should I show y’all all of the food/drinks I’ve been trying out in Japan ? I just had to taste this dang snake drink ,” had fans crawling in their skin.

As Megan tried the shot, she couldn’t help but feel conflicted. “I didn’t even know snakes had a taste,” she joked. “But that, that tastes like a snake.”

In the comment section, followers were in awe of the specialty beverage.

“I’m [a] diehard Nicki [supporter],” she said. “You already know that. I went to war for Nicki and all of that. I think that she’s super dope. That mom thing, that sh*t stabbed me in the chest. And even if she only said it once. Like, ‘B*tch, you’re lying on your dead mama.’ That’s a hard ass line. But to make it like a [repeated phrase]. You know I love Nicki. Recently, Megan Thee Stallion once again hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This time, it’s Hot Girl Meg’s first solo chart-topper.

“Hiss” follows “Savage” with Beyoncé and Cardi B’s “WAP” in Thee Stallion’s #1 history to become the 1,163rd single in Hot 100 history.

According to Luminate, “Hiss” debuted with 29.2 million streams in its first week, 2.9 million radio airplay audience impressions and 104,000 downloads sold from January 26th to February 1st. The single claimed the top positions on the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts. This achievement marks Megan Thee Stallion’s fourth number-one on Streaming Songs, following her hits “Savage” (one week at No. 1), “WAP” (10 weeks), and “Body” (one week), all in 2020. Additionally, she achieved her fourth No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart with “Savage” (three weeks), her collaboration with Cardi B on “WAP” (two weeks), and “Bongos” (one week last September).

Concurrently, “Hiss” also debuted at the top of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, which utilize the same methodology as the Hot 100. This marks Megan Thee Stallion’s third No. 1 on each chart. Previously, “Savage” and “WAP” held the top spot on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for two and 10 weeks and on Hot Rap Songs for three and eight weeks, respectively.

Megan Thee Stallion & “HISS” Fail To Crack Billboard Top 10 A Week After Going Number One

Megan Thee Stallion’s “HISS” is one of the biggest hits of 2024 so far… but there’s only one problem with its chart longevity. It has a lot of subliminal disses and created a moment, but since much of the hype surrounding it is about these feuds, the beefs dying down in the headlines means that the song doesn’t have the same replay value. At least, that’s what Billboard reflects, as the track fell out of the Top 10 this week. Now, it’s populated by the mainstays as of late: Zach Bryan, SZA, Jack Harlow, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Luke Combs, Doja Cat, and more.

Of course, a lot of the conversation around “HISS” surrounded the true ignition of beef between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj. The latter absolutely popped off on Twitter when this record dropped, going on a social media rampage for three days before dropping her response, “Big Foot.” No matter which side you’re on in this debacle, you can’t deny that either release had a lot of potential to stay on the charts for long. There’s nothing wrong with making a moment out of a song; it just means that you won’t have the same effect as you would with a song catered to be a re-playable and long-lasting effort.

But the question still remains: did Megan Thee Stallion (or Nicki Minaj, for that matter) need to stay on the charts for the song to make its impact? The Houston MC still hasn’t responded to “Big Foot,” which is likely because of all the success she found with “HISS.” Although some folks like The Joe Budden Podcast doubt that it was an organic No. 1 smash, her fans think that she took the dub here. Barbz think otherwise, obviously, so maybe one more round is what could really settle this.

That aside, a lot of people are still talking about this beef and these disses, including femcee Saweetie, who had a great and nuanced take about female rap beef. As such, Billboard doesn’t mean a thing; “HISS” stamped itself into the history books and into public consciousness. But it means little if what follows it, such as an album, doesn’t result in a compelling, well-crafted, and intent-driven experience. Supporters who have been running up streams on “HISS” since it first dropped weren’t surprised to see the diss track debut at the top of the prestigious list. Still, there are skeptics – particularly among The Joe Budden Podcast co-hosts – who have questions about the authenticity of Thee Stallion’s rollout. “I’m not here to sugar coat it, we could see through certain s**t,” one person on a recent episode of the popular internet show argued. “It’s the same fight that Nicki been talking about, the machines, and the manufactured diss.”

She went on to call out Nicki for working with Lil Uzi Vert, calling him a “satanist.” Tokyo says that she’s “disgusted” with the two artists for allegedly fooling her with a fake feud, shouting at the camera and making it clear that she’s fed up. This isn’t the first time Nicki and Meg have been accused of fabricating their differences for publicity, however.

Shortly after “Hiss” dropped, it was reported that the Barbz had gone to Meg’s mother’s grave with intentions to desecrate it. Megan Thee Stallion is taking a week long victory lap. As Billboard announced earlier this week, she now has the number one song in America. That song is her new track “HISS” which sees her absolutely unloading on a variety of her critics. Though many fans have focused on her shots at Nicki Minaj, she takes aim at seemingly everyone who has ever wronged her during her years in the public eye. While it seems like she’s holding absolutely nothing back on the track, that may not have actually been the case after all.

During a recent Instagram live stream, Megan revealed that the already-packed song could have had even more venom. “HISS had a lot more sh*t. But what y’all heard is very condensed,” she claimed. Even though it’s hard to imagine what more ground she could possibly even have to cover, fans believe her. But the bulk of responses to her claim came from Barbz. Even though just a few lines in “HISS” were about Nicki, she didn’t take it lightly. She spent the entire following weekend making hundreds of tweets about Megan and released a diss track. Nicki’s response “Big Foot” mentions Megan directly multiple times even though Megan never used Nicki’s name in “HISS.”

Last week after 4 tracking days on the charts “HISS” was still leading the way while “Big Foot” took a massive stumble to well outside the top 100.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Producer Claps Back At Nicki Minaj As “HISS” Hits #1

Many of Megan Thee Stallion’s biggest hits start with the distinctive producer tag “And if the beat live, you know Lil Ju made it.” That tag belongs to LilJuMadeDaBeat who has worked with Meg pretty extensively. Unsurprisingly, he became lumped into the beef between Meg and Nicki. That came during a Twitter spaces with Joe Budden last week. It was an already controversial moment for the Nicki claimed that Meg’s shooting incident with Tory Lanez in 2020 was her trying to have a “Rihanna moment.”

While that comment justifiably took up most of the attention Nicki also took a pretty petty shot at Lil Ju. She described the producer as “doo doo on the beat,” which is so childish it’s almost hard to get offended by. That’s why it’s no surprise that Lil Ju was able to have some fun with the name. Earlier this week Billboard announced that Megan Thee Stallion’s song “HISS” had debuted at number one on the Hot 100. “Lil Doo Doo On The Beat Produced A Number 1 Hit,” he said in a tweet accompanied by a hilarious gif. Megan Thee Stallion and her producer are both in the midst of a well deserved victory lap. “Hiss” skyrocketed up the charts to score a debut at the very top spot on the Hot 100. It’s a feat reserved for only the biggest artists around like Ariana Grande who landed her new single “yes, and?” at the top spot in its first week earlier this year.
