Megan Thee Stallion’s time in Japan for the 2024 Anime Awards has been a sight to witness. From her over-the-top costume changes and fun choreography collaboration, the “P*ssy Don’t Lie” rapper has been living it up. Yesterday (March 7), Megan dialed things up a notch with an interesting culinary experience.
While dining out, Megan recorded herself trying a shot of Habushu (or Habu Sake). Although Megan enjoys a great cognac every now and again, this liqueur was no ordinary adult beverage. In fact, the slithering wine shot was poured directly from a bottle with an actual dead snake in it.
The video captioned: “LOL should I show y’all all of the food/drinks I’ve been trying out in Japan ? I just had to taste this dang snake drink ,” had fans crawling in their skin.
As Megan tried the shot, she couldn’t help but feel conflicted. “I didn’t even know snakes had a taste,” she joked. “But that, that tastes like a snake.”
In the comment section, followers were in awe of the specialty beverage.
“Not you out there trying snake wine. They got you going all types of side quests and challenges,” wrote one user.
“Megan, how did you have the courage to drink this,” asked another.
“I’d be scared of the snake decomposing, and I’m drinking it—dead, nasty snake. Not for me either, girl,” wrote another.
“The way I didn’t even realize this was Megan. I was too busy looking at the snake,” penned another.
“I always looked at those bottles like crazy when I used to live in Okinawa LMAO. I’m curious about how it tastes now,” chimed in another.
“You really took ‘Hiss‘ promo seriously,” joked another, referring to her recent song.
When Megan Thee Stallion returned to music with her single “Cobra,” she said she was scaling away from her past. But the public had no clue that meant her dietary norms of hot chips and even spicier sandwiches.
Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are continuing to face a wave of backlash from PETA and other animal rights activists for their trip to Sydney Zoo last month. However, the couple has been given a “pass” by noted PETA supporter Jennifer Coolidge. While Coolidge said she “understood” why PETA was mad, she didn’t think that Kelce and Swift’s date was malicious. Instead, she saw it as just a public couple going on what they considered a romantic date.
The couple were spotted enjoying the popular tourist attraction last week between shows on Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour. Earlier in the week, Swifties had been gushing over Swift’s reactions to the various exhibits during a solo trip to the zoo. Kelce, who was spotted in Las Vegas earlier in the week, reportedly flew from LA to Hawaii. He then stayed the night in the island state earlier in the week. He then reportedly transferred to a private jet that departed for Sydney the day before he was spotted at the zoo.
Video Of Travis Kelce Causing Chaos At The White House Resurfaces
Meanwhile, a video of Travis Kelce causing chaos at the White House has resurfaced online. During the Chiefs’ White House visit last year, Kelce had to be pulled away from the Presidential podium by Patrick Mahomes. While President Biden was busy taking photos, Kelce was spotted stepping up to the podium. He began to say “So I’ve been waiting for this moment…” before Mahomes managed to get to him. It’s generally considered a faux pas for a civilian to speak from the Presidential podium without permission.
However, Kelce will likely be soon on his way back to the White House. This is given that the Chiefs repeated as Super Bowl champions this year. Despite the invitation, it will likely remain to be seen if Kelce attends. After all, reports suggest that he might be following Swift as she travels across Asia and Europe on her Eras Tour.
We can’t publish the video of Coolidge in this article. However, you can find it at the Via link below.
From lyrics to lifestyle, the world of rap has often attracted controversy, stirring debates and sparking outrage in equal measure. Among the myriad of issues that have ignited public scrutiny, one recurring theme is the clash between rappers and animal rights activists. Over the years, many rappers have angered PETA in several different ways. The renowned organization advocating for the ethical treatment of animals has frequently found itself at odds with Hip-Hop acts. Here’s a list of rappers who have upset PETA and found themselves in the organization’s crosshairs.
On Cardi B’s 31st birthday in October 2023, Offset went above and beyond with the gifts he got her. The “Stir Fry” rapper gifted his then-wife three expensive crocodile skin Birkin bags. Obviously, PETA frowns heavily upon such things, and the organization wasted no time in expressing its frustrations. Soon after the photos of the bags hit the internet, PETA vice president Lisa Lange dropped a statement addressing the issue. “Instead of using his wealth and influence for good, Offset chose to funnel hundreds of thousands of dollars into a gruesome, violent industry that electroshocks crocodiles, shoves metal rods into their heads in an attempt to scramble their brains, and mutilates them while they’re still alive,” she wrote.
On August 7, 2020, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion dropped their smash hit, “WAP.” The song was accompanied by a music video which PETA subsequently blasted the two rappers for. Three days after the video dropped, PETA aired its opinion on the video’s apparent use of live tigers. Their statement read, “If Tiger King taught us anything, it’s that tigers and other wild animals are abused for music videos, selfies, and gawking roadside zoo visitors. So if real animals were used instead of computer-generated imagery, the message sent is that animal exploitation is Okurrr—and it isn’t. If Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion really care about p**sy liberation, they wouldn’t use suffering big cats as props.”
When Valee dyed his little dog red in 2019, the rapper probably didn’t think it would cause any outrage. However, the opposite happened as he joined the list of rappers who got on the bad side of PETA. On May 27, 2019, he uploaded a video on his Instagram, showing off his newly-dyed red dog. A month later, on June 28, 2019, he revealed on Twitter that PETA had sent him a letter. It reads, in part, “Valee should know that putting dye on animals is extremely dangerous. Although the dye used on Valee’s dog was reportedly non-toxic and vegan, no animal has a natural desire to be dyed.” While they also implored him to take down the video, Valee has left it up since then.
When Maroon 5 headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2019, they were briefly joined on stage by Big Boi. One-half of the iconic Hip Hop duo OutKast, the rapper donned a fur coat as he delivered a great performance before stepping off the stage. Following the event, however, PETA wrote a letter to Big Boi expressing their disappointment and disapproval of the rapper’s fashion choice. The full letter reads:
Dear Antwan, Our hearts sank when you took the stage during the Super Bowl in a fur coat. You have many, many fans here at PETA and around the country who love your music, and were thrilled when it was announced that you’d be involved in the halftime show. Can we please convince you to make that your last appearance in a fur coat? We can help you donate any furs you have to people in need as we’ve done numerous times over the years with the thousands of coats donated by people who, once seeing how horribly animals are treated on fur farms and trapped in the wild, gave them up. We’ve given furs to homeless shelters in this country and sent donated furs to Syrian refugees who desperately need the extra warmth. We’d be honored to add your furs to this donation program. There will soon be a gorgeous faux fur on its way to you that offers a look that kills that no animal had to die for. The animals need you on their team, what do you say?
Kanye is one of a few rappers to successfully rile PETA up multiple times. He did it in 2010 when he arrived at a fashion week event in a fur coat. After he released “Theraflu,” in 2012, he angered the organization again. In the song, Kanye raps, “Tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor,” lyrics which earned him another scathing statement from the group. Most recently, in 2022, Ye came under fire when he used the photo of a skinned monkey to promote a song. On January 14, 2022, PETA president Ingrid Newkirk gave a statement to Billboard addressing the topic.
“The photo is reminiscent of the monkeys PETA has found, sometimes heads, sometimes hands, sometimes the whole body, in meat markets around the world and it makes it clear that when you remove the fur you can’t miss that there’s a person in there, that they are fellow primates, and do not belong to us to abuse for any purpose — not in laboratories, roadside zoos, movies, or meat markets,” Newkirk said.
Missy Elliott is going through a difficult experience that many of her fans are likely to relate to, the death of a pet. Earlier this week she took to Instagram to share a picture of her dog Hoodie, who she explains recently passed away. “17 and half years old you been with me & And anyone know us it’s always been me & you…Who would think that a pet would turn into a family member. If I left the house for 5 minutes and came back you would make me feel like I had been gone for years the way you would run to me I will miss you sooo much,” she captioned the post.
She goes on to further explain her feelings processing the loss and pay tribute to her pet. “I’m trying to hold up but you will no longer suffer & I know poncho been waiting for you at the rainbow bridge and you are in good hands with him & in Gods arms I love you forever Hoodie Rest Peacefully,” the caption concludes. Hundreds of fans, fellow celebrities, and dog accounts rushed to the comments to similarly pay their respects for Hoodie. Check out the post and fan reactions to it below.
Earlier this month, Missy Elliott became the first female rapper ever inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She spoke in interviews before the ceremony on just how big of an honor it was. Even though she’s no stranger to being cited as a pioneer for women in rap, she’s remained humble throughout. During the ceremony, she thanked her mother and frequent collaborator Timbaland before rattling off some of her biggest hits.
She also isn’t afraid to give other artists the credit they deserve. Right after her induction ceremony, she was back on Twitter praising Lil Wayne for his talent and influence. What do you think of Missy Elliott’s touching tribute to her dog Hoodie? Let us know in the comment section below.
Pharrell Williams, the super-producer and newly minted fashion director at Louis Vuitton has found himself in hot water after PETA. The animal rights organization called him out for the brand’s yellow Louis Vuitton bag made of crocodile skin. In February 2023, Pharrell Williams assumed the role of the new men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton. […]
Cardi B and Offset recently had a pretty lavish and fun dual celebration on Thursday (October 12) that ruffled a few feathers in the animal rights world. Moreover, while the former celebrated her 31st birthday, which was the day before, whereas the latter held a joint release party for his brand new album, Set It Off. Of course, the two showed each other a lot of appreciation for these milestones, and for always supporting them on their individual and unitary journeys. However, what really set PETA off were the three crocodile Birkin bags that the former Migo gave the Bronx MC. Given how much she liked them, we doubt that this will result in the bags being put in the trash.
“Instead of using his wealth and influence for good, Offset chose to funnel hundreds of thousands of dollars into a gruesome, violent industry,” PETA Vice President Lisa Lange remarked. She released a statement directed to the couple on Friday (October 13). “[It] electroshocks crocodiles [and] shoves metal rods into their heads in an attempt to scramble their brains. [It] mutilates them while they’re still alive.
“PETA reminds everyone that people who still spend their money on a closet full of dead animals’ body parts either are clueless or simply don’t care about the extreme cruelty they’re perpetuating,” she continued. “It’s just not worth it.” Surely Offset and Cardi B aren’t that ignorant; just a little careless, perhaps, but this certainly isn’t the worst example of this treatment. Regardless, it’s thanks to organizations like PETA that we’re even conscious of these cruelties. They launched research and internal investigation efforts in Asia to minimize reptile cruelty in the fashion world, praising brands like Chanel, Burberry, and Vivienne Westwood for changing their ways.
Considering that the rap couple also gave out food and drinks for free at the bash, which wasn’t all vegan, maybe PETA has a particular bone to pick with these two. These conversations are always important to bring up, because you never know how much one convinced person can change things. If Cardi and ‘Set decide not to buy anymore croc bags, maybe that’s a better life for another living individual. For more news and the latest updates on Cardi B and Offset, stay up to date on HNHH.
PETA is refusing to let go of their recent viral fame after Pete Davidson left an expletive-filled voicemail for a senior exec at the animal charity. TMZ revealed that PETA will be selling a Pete Davidson Halloween costume for $100, with all money going to their spay and neuter programs. The costume includes a mask of Davidson’s face, a baseball cap with a censored expletive, a hoodie that reads “I should have adopted” and a small toy dog with a bandana that reads “Shelter Dogs Rule”.
Alongside the launch of the costume, PETA President Ingrid Newkirk released a statement about the costume. “It’s too late for Pete to undo his puppy purchase or that voice mail, but it’s never too late to save a dog’s life by choosing adoption and shunning pet shops and other dog breeders.” Newkirk also said that the proceeds of the costume would go towards helping reduce the stray and homeless animal population in the United States.
However, speaking with TMZ, Davidson’s team didn’t find the costume very funny. “It’s disgusting they’d capitalize on someone’s mental health and not to mention illegal to use his likeness,” a source told the outlet. Davidson voluntarily checked into a mental health facility earlier this year to seek help for his PTSD and borderline personality disorder. While he has been seen doing shows in Florida, he is reportedly still very much in recovery.
Furthermore, PETA should be careful about the height of their horse. The Pete Davidson Halloween costume is just the latest viral stunt from the charity. Additionally, it’s the latest campaign that feels more like getting headlines than actually helping animals. Meanwhile, PETA still very much refuses to address the numbers when it comes to a much darker topic. Despite being “pro-animal”, PETA operates kill shelters and consistently kills thousands of animals a year. This remains a developing story and we’ll have any updates if they emerge.
Britney Spears has a lot going on at the moment. Last week after reports swirled that a divorce between her and husband Sam Asghari was imminent, the news became official. Since then a series of concerning news stories have emerged about various aspects of her life that has fans very concerned. While all of this is going on she’s also been somewhat erratically posting to social media sparking fires and sharing her feelings with fans. One of those posts included the legendary pop star showing off her adorable new puppy Snow. While many fans were happy to see it, PETA was not.
A rep for the organization reached out to TMZ about her decision to purchase a dog rather than adopt from a shelter. “When influential people buy puppies, puppy mills cheer and animal shelters watch the homeless-animal crisis get even worse,” they explained. With this one cutesy post, Britney Spears has sentenced countless deserving dogs in shelters to more days without love, a comfy bed to curl up on, or a chance at a real life.” The criticism comes just a months after the organization took aim at comedian Pete Davidson for doing the exact same thing. That erupted into one of the strangest beefs of 2023 so far.
The new puppy joins a pretty small group of those remaining in Spears’ inner circle. A report earlier this week claimed that she basically only had her lawyer and manager left to care for her following her divorce. That report followed another from an insider claiming that Spears never properly made up with her family. The insider described her situation as “isolated.”
Despite the impending court battle set to take place, Asghari has been cordial to Spears publicly. In response to questions about the divorce, he said “I wish her the best.” What do you think of PETA’s critiques of Britney Spears buying a new puppy? Let us know in the comment section below.
