Irv Gotti Recalls Scaring Nas In Baltimore: “What If We Get Killed?”

Irv Gotti says that he once scared Nas by suggesting they ride through a hood in Baltimore and flaunt their wealth. He recalled the moment during his recent appearance on Drink Champs.

“When Nas was in the Crack House [the studio] — and this was when I’m high as fuck [on ecstasy], grinding my teeth — I’m telling Nas, ‘We gon’ get three tour buses. We gon’ grab you, Ja, Ashanti. We gon’ hitch a Rolls-Royce, a Ferrari, a Bentley to the back of the tour bus,’” Gotti remembered. “This is when he was like, ‘Okay, I’m not fucking with these n****s.’”

He continued: “We had a show in Baltimore that night. I said, ‘Before we go to the show, we gon’ hit the hood and we gon’ ride through.’ I was like, ‘Yo, hood n****s is gonna go cr*zy!’ Imagine me, Nas, Ja, Ashanti and we pulling up in Rolls-Royces and eating fried chicken in the hood. That’s a moment. Anyone who gets a glimpse of that is never forgetting that. So Nas was like, ‘Yo, I hear you but what if we get killed? Being in the hood like that.’ This is when I lost him. South Baltimore Mass Shooting Leaves Two Dead, 28 Others Injured

A mass shooting took place in the early hours of July 2 at a block party in South Baltimore’s neighborhood of Brooklyn. The shooting sadly killed two attendees, leaving 28 others wounded. Police say the shooting took the lives of an 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man. Three others are reported to be in critical condition. The neighborhood was hosting “Brooklyn Day,” an annual community event, when the shooting occurred. Richard Worley, Baltimore Police Commissioner, called the scene of the crime “extensive.”

Mayor of Baltimore Brandon Scott spoke on the tragedy at a recent news conference. “This was a reckless, cowardly act that happened here and has permanently altered many lives and cost two people their lives,” he said. Scott continued, “I want those responsible to hear me, hear me very clearly: We will not stop until we find you. And we will find you.”

One resident, Terry Brown, was outside of his home when he heard the shooting occur. He let five young people into his home, shielding them from the gunfire. “They were running for their lives,” he recalled, going on to detail the horrific scene. “It was so many kids. It was chaos,” he explained. “Parents were running around looking for their children, hollering and screaming, and don’t know if their children has a bullet in them.” He asked “Who would pull up and do something like this?,” calling the shooting “just plain evil.”

Governor of Maryland Wes Moore also shared a statement amid the tragedy. “Maryland has had enough of watching gun violence continue to ravage our state and our nation,” he said. “The fact that these horrific shootings continue to take place is abominable.” “We as a state will continue to do everything we can to prevent senseless acts of violence like the one we saw last night,” he continued, “To the loved ones of these Marylanders, I am so sorry for your loss. You deserve better and we will work together to bring you just that. You have my word.”

The troubled duo of Hip Hop, Blueface and Chrisean Rock, spent their New Year in Baltimore and before the end of the first night of 2023, Blueface was embroiled in fisticuffs that resulted in one man being left knocked out.

Footage of the fight shows what appears to be several men jumping Blueface, but the B-More native later posted a pic of a person lying on the ground, with the caption reading, “He was sleepy 😴.”

The cause of the fight wasn’t clear, but it’s alleged that the altercation began over issues Blueface has with Chrisean’s family.

Blueface’s Baltimore Blowout Leaves Man Unconscious On NYE: Video

For the most part, headlines regarding Blueface and Chrisean Rock have been regarding their Crazy In Love reality series as of late. However, it seems as though things once again got out of hand for the couple in real time on New Year’s Eve. As they were attending an event at a Baltimore club, the “Thotiana” rapper surprisingly got into a physical altercation with some other men in the streets.

Video footage of the incident has concurrently been making rounds online. Though some first thought that it was the California native being taken down, it was actually him who did the knocking out.

As AllHipHop notes, the fight took place across several city blocks. Two armed officers were unable to stop the chaos due to the crowd size. It specifically included dozens of men and women, including one apparently in her underwear.

When things wrapped up, an unknown male in a yellow shirt was knocked out cold on the ground. Blueface later posted a screenshot of the aftermath on his Instagram Story, writing, “He was sleepy [yawning emoji].”

At this time, the reason for the altercation remains unknown. However, some social media users have been speculating that it had to do with Chrisean’s family.

“Blueface got into an altercation last night outside a local club in Baltimore,” one Twitter user reports. “He and Chrisean Rock [were there] for New Year’s Eve. The fight apparently broke out when Blue ran into some men who are associated with Chrisean’s father, who he fought in September of last year.”

As you may recall, the fight between the 25-year-old and his partner’s dad was previously captured on camera for their reality show. Across the first two episodes, we saw Blue get hit, and later, get his lick back on the older man.

Additionally, others pointed out that fighting so publicly isn’t a great idea in the midst of his attempted murder allegations from late last year.

YGG Tay Charged In A Federal Murder Conspiracy

A Baltimore rapper known as YGG Tay is facing charges that a federal grand jury alleges tie together a number of crimes in the city over the years.

The rapper, whose real name is Davante Harrison, has been indicted on racketeering conspiracy charges. Authorities are also accusing him of a number of other crimes surrounding murders and gang activity.

Among these crimes is the fatal shooting of a mother and sister of a man who accused Harrison of cooperating with authorities. The accusations also tie him to the Black Guerrilla Family, which is a prison gang that primarily operates in Maryland and California.

His relations with the gang date back as far as 2014, when he is allegedly responsible for supplying heroin and cocaine to “street-level drug shops.”

Furthermore, the indictment accuses Harrison of paying a gang member $10,000 that same year. Prosecutors also say he is responsible for making the payment in exchange for the killing of a 21-year-old. The victim supposedly owed him money from drugs stemming from an earlier exchange.

YGG Tay is one of the most successful and well-known rappers in the city of Baltimore. Releasing songs like “War” and “Go Getter,” his YouTube videos consistently rack up hundreds of thousands of views.

However, his legal trouble has long stood in the way of his career.

Among the other people facing charges in this case is David Warren, a notorious hitman. The 30-year-old has beaten 10 attempted murder charges over the past 16 years.

Warren and Harrison are alleged to have linked up beginning in 2018. According to The Baltimore Banner, “The indictment says Warren sought to endear himself to Harrison and rise in his inner circle by carrying out violence.”

Additionally, federal authorities say that Harrison’s first payment to Warren in exchange for a killing was in 2013. Targeting a fellow BGF member, who allegedly robbed Harrison’s home, the man was subsequently shot.

Prosecutors say they have proof from a text message that Warren is responsible.

YGG Tay is currently serving a 15-year sentence for other federal drug and gun charges, beginning in 2019.
