Doechii Goes Hard On The Short, High-Energy Banger “MPH”

Doechii has been on a bit of a role recently with her new singles and she doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Last year she scored the biggest hit of her career so far with “What It Is.” Two different versions of the song one with Kodak Black and one without have surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. Earlier this year, she was included in a document of Top Dawg Entertainment artists who are expected to release new albums this year. It’s not clear if her newest release will land on the eventual album, but that hasn’t stopped fans from eating it up.

The track is called “MPH” and it’s a short, right to the point banger. The song dropped overnight and it gets right to the point across a brief two minute runtime. The song has a dancy instrumental even as Doechii calls out her haters claiming that whatever they’re doing, it isn’t dancing. A few fans have speculated that some of the more pointed lyrics on the song could be aiming at Azealia Banks. The pair went back and forth online earlier this year though it hadn’t escalated to music yet. There’s no real confirmation of any of that but in a year where rap beef has dominated the news cycle it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise. Listen to the new song in its entirety and judge for yourself below.

Doechii Goes Off On “MPH”

Back in March, Doechii teamed up with JT for another hard-hitting new single called “Alter Ego.” What do you think of Doechii’s rapid fire new single “MPH?” Do you think she’s dissing Azealia Banks with lyrical references to covens and OnlyFans? Let us know in the comment section below.

Quotable Lyrics:
This moment mean everything to me, so you know I wouldn’t just take it for granted
I tell you what it took to get me here, but I don’t think you really understand it
Went from b*tches trying to call me out my name, to calling my name in the stands

Azealia Banks Asks Kendrick Lamar Why He Let 6ix9ine Say The N-Word

Azealia Banks does not like Kendrick Lamar. She’s been one of the most vocal critics of the Compton rapper during his battle with Drake. She thinks Lamar is wildly overrated, and has repeatedly accused him of being “obsessed” with Drake. The battle between the two rappers came to an end (for now, at least), with many declaring Lamar the winner. This has not stopped Banks from continuing to hate on social media, however. She sent another shot K. Dot’s way on May 20, and it had to do with one of his major Drake critiques.

Lamar attacked Drake’s use of the N-word on his diss, “Euphoria.” The song even ended with the refrain: “We don’t wanna hear you say n**ga no more.” Banks took this talking point and turned it against Lamar by pointing out his unwillingness to gate keep the word from other rappers. Particularly those who aren’t African American, like Six9ine. “Sidebar tho…. deadasss….,” she wrote. “Where was Kendrick when there was a gay Mexican in a rainbow lacefront running around saying n**ga?? Lmao.”

Azealia Banks Calls Kendrick Lamar A Hypocrite

Banks went on to claim that Lamar doesn’t have the number of classic songs that Drake does. “Do Kendrick know he doesn’t have a ‘oh you fancy huh,’ nor a ‘passionfruit,’ or anything but small sneaker rage to give us LOL,” she added. But wait, there was more. In a second tweet, the “212” rapper poked fun at Kendrick Lamar further by claiming he has a crush on Drake. “What’s reallllllllllllly behind the beef??,” she asked. “Who got a crush on who?”

Azealia Banks isn’t the first person to point out 6ix9ine’s frequent use of the N-word. Charlamagne tha God questioned 6ix9ine on the topic during a Breakfast Club interview, and the rapper felt that he had a right to say it because it was part of his upbringing. “It’s the way I talk,” he asserted. “You know what I’m saying? It’s not like oh sh*t I’m not African American, I’m not dark skin I can not say this, I can’t say it… It’s just vocabulary.” Ironically, 6ix9ine has been charged for exhibiting the same predatory behavior that Lamar accused Drake of on “Not Like Us.”

Azealia Banks Critical of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Short D–k Insecurities,’ Says He ‘Spilled No Tea’

Azealia Banks Says DaBaby Should Have Been Canceled

Azealia Banks doubles back with more hate toward Kendrick Lamar over his beef with Drake. This time, she states, Lamar “spilled no tea.”

“The daughter thing is fake, metro makin bbl drizzy beats like Kanye ain’t got the fattest bbl in rap,” Banks wrote. “As a fellow Gemini, Kendrick clearly thought this would be a clever way to relaunch himself to the forefront given the lack of pop cultural fanfare from his last release. Women can tell a lot about a man by the way he moves.”

Azealia Banks previously her opinion on Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Like many of us in the rap world, Banks heard Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” and then proceeded to disagree with Billboard’s opinion on the song.

Reposting a story titled, “Kendrick Lamar’s Response Was Worth the Wait,” Azealia Banks came for Lamar’s size, stating, “Kendrick is still 4’9″ and wears the same jean size as me.”

She also states that no one cares about Lamar’s feelings, whom she dubbed a “no baby.”

At the bottom of the post, she wrote, “@billboard y’all really are paid for. Even the tone and timber of Kendrick’s voice is an ultimate defeat. LOL STOP LYING.”

We now know Banks’ opinion on the wait. Now, we continue to wait for music she can call her own. You can read some more words for Kendrick Lamar below.

Rappers Who Believe Drake Won Rap Beef Against Kendrick Lamar

The hip-hop world has been in a heated frenzy lately due to Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s beef. The two rap giants have been going at each other with everything they’ve got, wowing and shocking everyone as they did. It all began after Kendrick dissed Drake and J. Cole in “Like That” from Future and Metro Boomin’s We Don’t Trust You. Drake responded to Kendrick’s diss with “Push Ups” and the A.I.-generated track “Taylor Made Freestyle.” In “Taylor Made Freestyle,” Drake used an AI version of 2Pac and was forced to take the song down after the late rapper’s estate threatened to sue him.

It took a while for Kendrick to respond to Drake. However, he did so to a great effect with “Euphoria” and “6:16 In LA.” Drake returned fire with “Family Matters,” but he got a response from Kendrick less than an hour later, as the latter released “Meet The Grahams.” Kendrick continued the offensive with the diss track/club banger “Not Like Us.” Drake responded to Kendrick with “The Heart Part 6,” where he seemingly noted that he was done with the rap beef.

Amid Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s beef, both rappers made serious but unsubstantiated allegations against each other. For instance, Kendrick accused Drake and his crew of pedophilia, while Drake alleged Kendrick physically assaulted his fiancée, Whitney Alford. The war of words between both rappers entered grim territory following the release of “Family Matters,” causing several debates online as fans analyzed several aspects of the diss tracks. While Kendrick Lamar was generally considered the victor in his beef with Drake, some rappers gave it up to Drake. Here are rappers who think Drake won the rap beef over Kendrick Lamar.

Azealia Banks

Azealia Banks is no stranger to feuds and has been involved in many herself. Hence, she is one person whose opinion will count in the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef. Azealia shared her thoughts on the rap beef via posts on her Instagram Story. She sided with Drake after he released “The Heart Part 6.” In the track, Drake revealed he planted the story about him having a secret daughter, which Kendrick bought. With that revelation, Drake made it look like Kendrick was obsessed with him and would buy any negative story about him. In her post, Azealia said Drake’s beef songs were catchy and had more replay value than Kendrick’s. She also said Kendrick was obsessed with Drake and seemed desperate in the ongoing feud.

Jay Electronica

Rapper Jay Electronica seemingly took Drake’s side of the beef when he tweeted a track from the latter’s Certified Lover Boy album. Jay Electronica made the tweet after Kendrick released “Euphoria,” and though he didn’t caption the post, many fans believed it showed he was taking Drake’s side in the beef. After “Euphoria,” Drake and Kendrick Lamar went back to back, releasing diss track after diss track. However, despite the internet being divided over which of the feuding rappers won the rap beef, Jay Electronica stood with Drake.

Jay Electronica doubled down on his support for Drake with a now-deleted tweet after “Heart Part 6” was released. The tweet was accompanied by Larry Graham and Graham Central Station’s album art for My Radio Sure Sounds Good To Me. It read, “I’ve loved this record since a child. It was one of my Mother’s FAVOURITES. Also, as a qualified observer. Drake punishing these boys. I don’t care what nobody say. Don’t @ me. You’re not qualified.”

Gillie Da Kid

Rapper and podcast host Gillie Da Kid shared a hot take about the Kendrick Lamar vs Drake beef shortly after the latter released “The Heart Part 6.” Gillie took to his Instagram page and shared a video where he declared, “It’s over with! Light-skinned n***as won. They took that shit, man. That shit over with, man. Kendrick can’t come back.” Gillie added that he felt Kendrick ended Drake with “Not Like Us.” However, Drake’s response in “The Heart Part 6” made him change his mind and believe Drake won the beef. Gillie captioned his video post, “It’s over with Litskin ni$$az won 🤦🏾‍♂️.”

The Kendrick Lamar vs Drake beef has dominated headlines over the last few weeks. For now, things have slowed down following Drake saying he was done with the beef in “The Heart Part 6.” Kendrick is yet to respond to that track and no one knows if he will. There continue to be different views about which rapper won the beef, but the above-mentioned MCs believe Drake has an edge over Kendrick Lamar. Do you agree with them? Who do you think won the rap beef? Let us know in the comment section below.

Azealia Banks Calls Kendrick Lamar a “Nepo Baby,” Disses His Size & More

Azealia Banks Says DaBaby Should Have Been Canceled

We all knew it was coming. Azealia Banks is offering her opinion on Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

Azealia Banks Unsurprisingly Chose A Side In The Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar Feud

The beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar is boiling like a hot pot dinner, and it’s perhaps inevitable that Azealia Banks would chime in to pick a side. Longtime fans of the controversial commenter wouldn’t be shocked by whose side she chose, but if you weren’t tapped in before, you might raise your eyebrows on discovering that she didn’t care for Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria,” preferring Drake’s “Push Ups” instead.

A few reasons she gave include Kendrick “wearing the same size” as her, “the tone and timbre of Kendrick’s voice,” her feeling that “the mix is muddy as hell,” and that the beat is “dumb trash.” Her conclusion is that “Drake won. That’s it.” In typical Azealia Banks fashion, though, she quickly lost the plot, arguing for a conspiracy theory that “Kendrick sent goons to have both diss tracks from Cole and Drake removed from DSPs.”

Real quick, though: Drake was threatened with legal action by the estate of Tupac Shakur, whose likeness he unethically reproduced using AI (Congress really needs to get on some sort of legislation about this instead of, like, banning apps and selling bombs). Cole removed his track after seeing some backlash to it, citing his internal discontent with how it all worked out.

Of course, Azealia Banks has always had it out for Kendrick Lamar, writing in a rant about Doja Cat taking her spot, “He be making the kind of rap music that allows white people to indulge in weird fetishization of ‘the Black struggle’.” Her position is also something of an about-face, considering she was just trashing Drake a few months ago for allegedly getting liposuction. Also, her quibbles with Drake aligned with much of what Kendrick said in “Euphoria,” but Azealia’s never much been one for consistency, right?

She, of course, is still best known for a song from over 13 years ago and her salty assessments of everything everybody else has done since sooo… She’s entitled to her opinion, but it certainly looks like she’s on the outs this time.

Doechii Claps Back Hard At Azealia Banks, Calls Her “Insufferable”

In a year that’s been absolutely packed full of rap beefs so far, Doechii and Azealia Banks are in the thick of one of the most hostile. When the TDE rapper took to social media earlier this week to ask to ask what her fanbase should be nicknamed, Banks responded “Wannabes.” That led to a clap back from the “What It Is” rapper taking shots at Banks for pivoting from making music to selling soap. A few days later Banks clapped back with an attack on the entire Top Dawg Entertainment label and some pretty blatant colorism in her response.

That was all it took for Doechii to subsequently unleash on her Instagram story. “I use my platform to make money and inspire people. Everyone around me is inspired by me. I’m positive influence. You used to be so respected for your talents and your voice. Now you use your platform to gossip about Black artists and sell Mary Kay products. You’re insufferable,” she began. It was just the first of a series of extensive story posts going in on the rapper. She attacked Banks’ for her weak response in the beef, lack of worthwhile music released recently, and tendency to get into beef and drama constantly. Check out the full response she posted below.

Doechii Absolutely Slams Azealia Banks On Her Instagram Story

She still isn’t done with Banks yet though. “Your brain is fried from meds, you’re damn near immobile from the shots. Don’t hurt yourself. You gossip about BLACK artists to stay relevant and it’s sad. You definitely are an issue just not the icons… you’re one post away from the psych ward. STOP IT!Your diagnosis is wasted talent. I bowed down, I kissed the ring but bitch I’M ME! Hate to do you like this but you not finna bully me out my lane. I’ve done in two years of signing what you couldn’t do in your entire career. YOU’RE WELCOME,” she concludes.

Doechii is fresh off the release of her new single “Alter Ego” with JT. Additionally, she’s expected to release a new full-length album at some point this year. What do you think of Doechii’s response to the newest developments in her Azealia Banks beef? Who do you think will come out on top in the beef when all is said and done? Azealia Banks’ “Bussy Boy” Soap Piques Charlamagne Tha God’s Interest

Queen of controversy, Azealia Banks, is nearly always caught up in some internet beef with her fellow celebrities. Since Beyonce first announced her plans to take over country music, the New Yorker has been on her neck, bashing both the Houston native and her husband, Jay-Z. In recent days, Banks has turned some of her attention toward another female starlet – Doechii – who some think is one of the “212” hitmaker’s “sons,” or someone who takes direct inspiration from their elder’s discography and overall aesthetic.

The drama made its way to The Breakfast Club this week, where hosts Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Jess Hilarious broke down what’s been happening. For his part, Tha God took a special interest in one comment from Doechii, teasing Banks for selling “bussy boy” soap online instead of sharing new music. Though he’s a straight, married man, the radio host was still keen to get his hands on some of the rap diva’s $7 hygiene products.

“I just googled it, and I’m about to order two bars just because this is hilarious,” Tha God declared. “I know that’s right,” Hilarious chimed in. “Make that bussy beam, boy. Helps with irritation from friction due to anal sex, hemorrhoids, jock itch, and bacterial overload,” he read the product description out loud. Scent options include Boyberry Blue and Georgia Peach. “This is so funny, it says for that glazed donut hole effect,” Charlamagne laughed at the NSFW marketing.

Even though she and Doechii have been in the news for their social media spat, Azealia Banks still has more energy to pour into feuding with other artists. Earlier this week, British pop singer Lily Allen felt the rap diva’s wrath after the former shared some negative thoughts about Beyonce’s COWBOY CARTER LP. Banks has made it known that her feelings about the genre-bending project are similar, but still, she doesn’t think that Allen is the right person to offer criticism to a Black woman. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Doechii Is Done Biting Her Tongue With Azealia Banks As She Roasts Her After A Diss

Doechii 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Taylor Swift has the Swifties, Beyoncé has the Beyhive, and BTS has its Army: Many of the world’s biggest music artists have nicknames for their fan bases, and Doechii decided to get that situation squared away for herself. However, Azealia Banks entered the chat to ruin the fun, but Doechii clapped back.

In an Instagram post from April 5, Doechii asked her followers, “ok y’all… what should our fandom name be?” Days later, on April 9, Banks commented, “Definitely should call them the ‘wannabe’s.’

Doechii didn’t take that lying down, responding, “the first time you came for me I let it slide outta respect for my elders. It’s not my fault you sellin bussy soap and I’m sellin platinum records. Leave me alone PLEASE.”

As for the name Doechii and her fans settled on, the rapper wrote in a follow-up post, “based on the results of yesterdays poll… Swamp takes it fair n square [clapping emoji] but you’ll still be my chiichii’s from time to time, and I’ll always have a special place in my heart for my gaytors.”

Doechii, meanwhile, is fresh off fostering a healthier relationship with a hip-hop peer, by linking up with City Girls’ JT on their recent collaboration, “Alter Ego.”

Azealia Banks Suggested That Tyler The Creator And Lil Nas X Become A ‘Power Couple’ And At Least One Of Them Seemed Into It

Azealia Banks is mainly known for her incendiary takes on everything from Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter cover to Nicki Minaj’s feud with Megan Thee Stallion, but her latest hot take to go viral is slightly more… romantic(?). While criticizing Tyler The Creator and Lil Nas X for their romantic interests (ah, there it is), she made a suggestion that one seems open to and the other just seems confused by.

“I really think Tyler The Creator and Lil Nas X should get over their obsession with broke white bussy and become a power couple,” she wrote on Instagram. In a caption, she elaborated, “No more white Taco Bell-eating Caucasian twinkery, guys,” which is, admittedly, one hell of a roast. She also took the opportunity to accuse Lil Nas X of jocking her style (ONE hit 14 years ago, has anyone ever seen such a run of semi-relevance behind less?), offer some suggestions for new collaborators, and make vague allusions to the allegations against Diddy — who again, has also not had a serious hit in like a decade. Someone buy this woman a Delorean and the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity it’d take for her to catch up to 2024.

In any event, Tyler seemed amused by her matchmaking attempt, writing, “lmfao what the hell” in response. Nas took things a step further, joking(?), “azealia banks is right! Me and tyler SHOULD f*ck!”

I am sure that there are those in the stan community who would love nothing less than to see her unhinged shipping fantasy come true. Meanwhile, those of us who have business of our own to mind (and lord, how I wish mine did NOT include writing about this nonsense for clicks) will continue to do so while Banks worries about everybody else.
