Ari Lennox Tweets About Her Desire To Find Love

Many singles spend their free time searching for the one, and it’s no different for celebrities. Ari Lennox expressed her desire for love in a tweet on March 8. She wrote, “have I made myself unattractive by wanting love so bad? By speaking about it? Complaining about it? I wish I didn’t crave it.” The tweet continues, “I wish it didn’t make me blind, weak, and so dangerously trusting. I wish I had no love inside of me. Wish I didn’t have emotions. Wish I didn’t care 🥺.”

Twitter users were quick to reassure her that a desire for love is a normal part of the human experience. BoyzIIMen member Shawn Stockman replied, “Not at all! Love is being able to be your most vulnerable, your most plaintive yet feeling protected by your counterpart. We all crave it, so don’t feel bad for being human.”

Ari’s Dating Woes

This isn’t the first time the “Pressure” singer has opened up about her struggles with dating. “I’m just bored, I’m bored!” Lennox previously explained. “Or I’ll find someone incredibly interesting and then, like, the sex is terrible. And I’m sorry, but that’s important, or like, you’re scared of my dog.”

She has also opened up about struggling to understand the intentions of the people she’s dating. Specifically, the R&B starlet noted that she has, on occasion, dated men who were not upfront about their music aspirations. “I will never be able to trust that you genuinely wanna be here for me,” she said in a Breakfast Club interview. “And not try to get Cole, or, you know, Dreamville or Interscope.” The age/sex/location revealed that she had dated several “struggle rappers” that left her traumatized.

Dealing with partners who are secret rappers looking for a big break in the music industry isn’t the only challenge that Ari faces. She shared that she was once in a relationship with someone who pretended not to know who she was. While they were together, that person diminished everything about her. In 2022 the singer broke up with Married At First Sight star Keith Manley II, and she has not been in any public relationships since then. Do you relate to Ari Lennox’s issues with love? Ari Lennox Fans Ask If She Was “Dykin It” As 2016 Photo Resurfaces, Singer Responds

For Ari Lennox, 2023 is off to a strong start. After finally delivering her sophomore album, age/sex/location, at the end of last year, the Dreamville artist gave us her first new vocals in a minute on the Creed III soundtrack. Along with several of her labelmates, and other hip-hop and R&B favourites, she helps paint a perfect sonic picture for Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut. “Greater” finds her showing out on her own, but on “Talk To Me,” she was joined by Omen and OG DAYV.

Aside from that exciting project, which landed on Friday (March 3), Lennox has also been busy entertaining audiences on stages all across the nation. Her tour kicked off a few weeks ago, boasting many sold-out dates and sultry performances from the Washington, D.C. native. From time to time, she’s even been teasing social media with tantalizing thirst traps of her various tour looks. Most recently, the “Pressure” hitmaker gave us a preview of the look she rocked in Connecticut.

More Tour Thirst Traps

On Sunday (March 5), the R&B diva posted up in a pair of tiny denim shorts and a shiny metal bra on Twitter. “Connecticut was love,” she wrote in her tweet, including an image of her singing to a full crowd gazing back at her with immense love. “This was an amazing show from top to bottom,” one attendee responded to Lennox’s commemorative post. “Vocals are consistently fire. Ari is a sanger. When you are ready a live album will be [amazing], I feel like all the greats have one.”

While her new thirst traps are certainly getting their share of attention, another hot topic of conversation surrounding the 31-year-old right now is her sexuality. Over the weekend, a TikTok featuring a throwback photo of Lennox from 2016 surfaced online, showing her without makeup and in a more masculine presenting outfit. “Mmm honey, was Ari Lennox dykin’ it out here in these streets before she got famous?” one user asked. “‘Cuz her energy makes this make sense to me.”

Ari Responds to Twitter’s Sexuality Speculation

By the time she saw the tweet for herself, Lennox couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. “I leave Twitter for three days… THREE DAYS,” she joked. In the replies, others pulled out more past photos of the singer that show her dressing similarly. “Explain this too, it’s giving very much butch,” someone pressed her for answers. “Let me not know how to dress in peace, DAMN,” she clapped back.

Elsewhere online, many are pointing out that she didn’t explicitly deny the rumours, leaving them with a shred of hope that the entertainer might play for both teams. Of course, nothing has been confirmed, but she’s been publicly linked to a few men throughout her career. Ari Lennox Sounds “Greater” Than Ever On Dreamville’s “Creed III” Soundtrack

It’s a huge weekend for both film and hip-hop lovers, thanks to the debut of Michael B. Jordan’s Creed III. Not only does the California native star alongside Jonathan Majors in the new movie, but he also sat in the director’s chair for the very first time, earning him plenty of praise for so much hard work. While he was busy bringing the visuals together, Dreamville came through with the soundtrack.

Ahead of Creed III‘s arrival, a handful of singles helped set the tone for audiences. We heard JID and Lute show out together on “Ma Boy,” followed by Bas, Black Sherif, and Kel-P’s work on “Blood, Sweat & Tears.” When Friday (March 3) hit, so did the official Dreamville soundtrack on DSPs, providing fans with 18 new songs to accompany the highly anticipated movie.

Ari Sounds Angelic on “Greater”

An impressive roster of artists helped out with the tracklist, though one title that stands out to us above all others is Ari Lennox’s “Greater.” The R&B diva has the voice of an angel, and it sweetly croons on this song, as well as with Omen and OG DAYV on “Talk To Me.” As she continues her tour across North America, listeners are more than happy to hear new music after all that she gave us in 2022.

Other noteworthy titles on the Creed III soundtrack include Big Sean and EST Gee’s link up on “Anthem,” J. Cole’s triumphant work on “Adonis Interlude,” and Kehlani’s vulnerable title, “Shadows.” REASON, Symba, Blxst, WESTSIDE BOOGIE, Arin Ray, SiR, and Syd also appear – not to mention Baby Rose, Morray, Tierra Whack, and Cozz’s work.

Ari Lennox And Babyface’s ‘Liquor’ Is The Smoothest Serving Of R&B With An Intoxicating Video To Match

Babyface found his perfect sensual collaborative partner in Ari Lennox. Their latest single, “Liquor,” and accompanying music video directed by Jean Esten, is a match made in R&B heaven. The track featured on the legendary producer and songwriter’s compilation album, Girls Night Out, which was released in October 2021, is the perfect bridge between Lennox’s rising star power and Babyface’s veteranism.

On the song, Lennox puts her signature vocals on full display as the pair serenade one another. However, in the official video, instead of exploring this chemistry further, Lennox, in the role of lounge singer at the one and only The Peppermint Club in West Hollywood (not to be confused with the iconic Peppermint Lounge), an entranced patron of the establishment falls deep into Lennox’s web of lust as Babyface assists in the background of the sole bartender.

When asked about Lennox’s talent by media personality Angela on her podcast Lip Service, Babyface said, “I think that Ari’s voice is a voice that she can sing about many things that matter to a lot of people. Her voice is an important voice, and I think that it’s just the beginning for her.”

“Liquor” is filled with clever adult beverage puns that effortless role of the tongue of Lennox as she sings, “Two shots of liquor, no chaser / No rocks, no blend, straight up, just you / Two shots of liquor, oh, oh / I need one hundred from my man, he can’t be eighty proof / When he ask me throw it back, I tell him absolut-ely.”

If you’re going to be drunk in love, then who better to stumble for than Ari Lennox or the King of R&B, Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds?

Ari Lennox Looks Radiant In New “Liquor” Music Video With Babyface

Prior to heading out on her highly anticipated age/sex/location tour, Ari Lennox gave her fans a treat in the form of her “Waste My Time” music video. The must-hear track previously made its debut on her sophomore album. We have to admit, it’s been stuck in our heads ever since. As she performs all across the country over the next few weeks, the R&B starlet’s surprises keep coming.

On Monday (February 27), yet another visual landed from Lennox. This one brings her recent collaboration with Babyface, “Liquor” to life in a big way. The producer plays the role of a bartender, and the vocalist channels a glamorous patron of his bar. The song first arrived on his Girls Night Out project last year and quickly became a favourite amongst listeners.

“I wanna feel like I’m wasted, from the lips that I tasted / I want our love to be agin’ with time,” the Dreamville artist’s sultry lyrics set the tone of the first verse. “More vintage than wine, so smooth / I like it rough around the edges, picture perfect with no edits,” she continues to croon. On the chorus, both Lennox and Babyface’s beautiful voices come together to create a stunning soundscape. They specifically sing about taking two shots of “Liquor” with no chaser over the groovy beat.

It’s been several months since Girls Night Out first landed on DSPs, but Babyface recently kept the hype around the record going with the arrival of the extended edition. All 13 original titles remain on the tracklist, which boasts guest features from the likes of Muni Long, Doechii, and Sevyn Streeter. Additionally, he’s added two new songs – “Sometimes” with Jenevieve and “If You Knew How” with BJRNCK.
