Danny Brown’s “Quaranta” Album Finally Dropping In November: Details

The last time we heard a solo album from 42-year-old Danny Brown was in 2019 when he dropped off Uknowhatimsayin¿. Since then, hip-hop heads have been eager to hear more from the Texas-based creative, who’s been hinting at his upcoming LP, Quaranta for some time now. Today (October 17), a release date of November 17 was finally confirmed, along with the arrival of Brown’s “Tantor” single and an Uncanny-directed visual featuring an eye-catching futuristic cyborg suit.

Earlier this year, the “Grown Up” recording artist completed a stint in rehab that’s seemingly changed his outlook on many things in life. As a result, it’s likely we’ll be introduced to a new version of Brown through his latest body of work. Pitchfork notes that he’s described Quaranta (meaning “40” in Italian) as a “spiritual bookend” to his 2011 effort, XXX, which arrived on his 30th birthday.

Elsewhere in 2023, Brown connected with JPEGMAFIA for a joint LP called Scaring the Hoes. They subsequently went on tour together, which helped amp the Detroit-born lyricist’s audience up for his next solo project, as well as expand his already impressive fanbase. The next time you can catch the rapper live will be at the 10th annual Bruiser Thanksgiving, which he’s set to host and perform at on November 22 at the Russell Industrial Center in his hometown.

On his Quaranta album, Danny Brown will be collaborating with a small host of other artists. Bruiser Wolf joins him on “Y.B.P.,” followed by Kassa Overall’s work on “Jenn’s Terrific Vacation.” The final joint effort on the tracklist is “Celibate” featuring MIKE. Lil Uzi Vert’s “Luv Is Rage 3” Album Is Coming Soon, They Promise At Concert

Rappers have been steadily releasing new music all year long, though it wasn’t until Lil Uzi Vert came through with their Pink Tape that the genre secured its first No. 1 album of 2023. On that, the Philly native collaborated with an impressive roster of artists, including Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Don Toliver, and Bring Me The Horizon. Some creatives would take a lengthy break after delivering such an impressive feat, but LUV has remained focused on completing more gifts to share with their fans.

The “Just Wanna Rock” hitmaker’s main focus has been Barter 16, which we’re patiently waiting for to arrive on DSPs. Aside from that, they’ve also been hinting at a follow-up to 2017’s Luv Is Rage 2 for quite some time, though social media users are reluctant to believe the hype. Ahead of this week, Uzi confirmed during a live performance that the third installment in the beloved album series is in the works. As you may recall, the recording artist hinted in mid-summer that it would only be “a couple of months” before their work was ready for its big debut.

Lil Uzi Vert Has Plenty of Music On the Way

“Hey now, I’m ’bout to drop ‘Luv Is Rage 3’,” the entertainer declared in the video above. “You know I only drop ‘Luv Is Rage’ when my heart is hurting. It’s about that time,” they vulnerable admitted. While many fans are happily reacting to the news, others are speculating that it could be some time before the LP drops. “This ni**a is a boldface liar and I’m tired of it,” one Twitter user declared. “I can’t wait to look back on this video in a few months and caption it, ‘What was the point of this?’” another wrote.

Lil Uzi Vert has kept mostly quiet about Luv Is Rage 3 since this summer, but they’ve been regularly giving us updates on their Barter 16 project over the past few weeks. The project has already been turned in, and though a tentative release date was set earlier this month, it hasn’t landed on DSPs quite yet. Taylor Swift & Nicki Minaj Collab Hints Seemingly Appear Online

2023 has already been a year full of unexpected but epic musical collaborations. It seems as though that trend is only continuing over the coming months. There are several huge albums still slated to drop, including Drake’s For All The Dogs and Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2. The Young Money legends are due to link up on the former. Elsewhere, the Queen of Rap has been dropping hints about what we can expect to hear on the latter.

Besides working on her own highly anticipated LP, Minaj is also be rumoured to teaming up with a seriously unexpected artist – Taylor Swift. The two artists have formed a friendship over the years, though they have yet to join forces in the studio. After seeing what appears to be hints surfacing on social media, however, both the Swifties and the Barbz feel as though that could soon change. As Billboard reports, searching the country-turned-pop sensation’s name on Google will cause one of 89 different puzzles to pop up allowing them to “unlock Taylor’s vault.”

Are Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift Cooking Up a Sagittarius Anthem?

One of the most noteworthy clues to come from the fun game is both Swift and Minaj’s zodiac sign – Sagittarius. Just last week, the Speak Now artist called the mother of one her “favourite Sagittarius” during the MTV VMAs. On top of that, at the end of August, Minaj tweeted “Fighting the urge to say Sagittarius tingz right now so bad” when celebrating a new milestone set by her and her rumoured collaborator. If released, the joint song will likely appear on 1989 (Taylor’s Version).

We were surprised to hear about Taylor Swift’s split from longtime beau Joe Alwyn earlier this year. However, she’s had no problem finding suitors to romance in the time since. A few months back she was linked to Matty Healy from The 1975. They ultimately ended their fling amid the racial backlash he was facing regarding comments about Ice Spice. Drake’s Throwback Photos Reflect On His Career’s Early Successes Amid New Album Rollout

Before the first single from Drake’s highly anticipated For All The Dogs album hits streamers at 12PM ET today (September 15), the Canadian had some throwback photos to share on Instagram early this morning. His next LP will apparently see him returning to his roots, and this new post may indicate what we can expect. Drizzy kicked things off with a zen-looking meditation space, followed by a rooftop candid of him, longtime friend Niko, and another man mid-conversation in Las Vegas.

“I believe in the phrase things change… I just never took you for one of those things,” he wrote in the caption. It’s unclear if there’s someone specific that Drake is referring to, or if he’s simply looking back on all the people who have come and gone from his life over the years. Midway through his IG carousel, the Toronto native sits in front of the piano to play a song and lays on the floor with Courtne Bianca. In the latter snap, an image of a young Champagne Papi with his father, Dennis Graham, sits on the table behind them.

Flo Milli Influences The Weather On Her “Chocolate Rain” Single: Stream

The women of rap have been consistently getting their flowers for all their hard work so far this year. One name that stands out amongst the others is 23-year-old Flo Milli. She’s been doing her part to incorporate the ongoing Hip-Hop 50 celebrations into her musical releases. We’ve heard her freestyle over classic beats previously used by Too $hort, Kelis, and Lil Wayne this summer. Last month, Milli also confirmed that her next album is on the way.

Since then, she’s turned her focus toward releasing singles that are more unique, such as “Fruit Loop” and, more recently, “Chocolate Rain.” The latter single hit DSPs on Friday (September 8), and finds the Southern starlet bringing her signature, upbeat and braggadocious bars to our attention over production by Young Fyre. “Passive aggressive / I’m sexy, obsessive,” the underrated rhymer’s first verse begins. “That closet, impressive / She messy, possessive.”

Flo Milli Delivers “Chocolate Rain” Ahead of Her Next Album

Making it known that she’s proud of how far she’s come since launching her career in the industry, Flo later rhymes, “I just woke up to like three hundred bookings / Girl, we ain’t the same, you a rookie.” Following that comes flirtatious lines like “Damn, I know he want all my goodies / Taste the Nutella when he eat the cookie, ha” that she’s become so well known for.

The official release date for Fine Ho, Stay has yet to be revealed, but seeing as the “19” hitmaker announced that she’ll be headed out on tour soon, it likely won’t be long before we have more updates. Big Sean’s New Album Will Sample Three 6 Mafia

Since the music industry has become democratized, the phrase “there’s nothing new under the sun” has never felt more true. The current accessibility of creating songs means that many samples are used in similar ways, or at least frequently appear throughout the industry after trending on TikTok or other platforms. Some artists, such as Kelis, have expressed discontent with their throwback hits being repurposed. Others, like Juicy J, are grateful to see artists still putting beats he created with Three 6 Mafia to use. Big Sean is the latest to sample the Southern group. Of course, his “Precision” single hasn’t landed on streaming services quite yet.

As HipHopDX reports, the father of one gave us a taste of what’s to come on his upcoming album on Thursday (August 31). A minute-long preview of the unreleased song appeared in the new trailer for NBA 2K24‘s The City game mode. It’s set to release on September 8 and will honour Kobe Bryant with a tribute on the cover. Throughout the “Precision” teaser, fans can hear elements from Three 6 Mafia’s “Poppin’ My Collar,” which first landed back in 2005, helping to add more apple to Sean’s lyricism.

Aside from being used to promote the video game, it’s been noted that “Precision” is set to appear on Sean’s sixth studio album. Details surrounding the project remain sparse at this time. A couple of non-album singles preceded its official announcement earlier in 2023, and the Queen Barb herself couldn’t be more excited for it. As such, she’s spent a lot of time and energy on social media engaging with fans’ own anticipation and giving us little peeks and nuggets of what’s to come. For example, the Trinidadian MC recently shared a snippet of her upcoming single “Last Time I Saw You” on TikTok. Now, she officially revealed during a livestream on the platform that the track is coming out this week on Friday, September 1.

Furthermore, it seems like this is the true lead single to Pink Friday 2, which got fans absolutely ecstatic. After all, they’ve been bumping the clip quite heavily given all the times that Nicki Minaj has already previewed it. Fans are already speculating that his frequent collaborator Travis Scott will be joining him on the tracklist, and the 36-year-old suggested that we could hear him returning to the sounds of “old Drake,” as hip-hop heads have been begging him for some time now.

The “Way 2 Sexy” hitmaker hasn’t confirmed anything quite yet, but on Sunday (August 20) afternoon, @ThePopTingz on Twitter reported that we could be hearing new heat from Champagne Papi as soon as this week. “Drake’s new album, ‘For All The Dogs,’ will reportedly be released next Friday, August 25th,” they wrote.
