Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s Vultures being delayed multiple times hasn’t come as a surprise to their fans. The father of four’s past few LPs have all been revealed to the world on their own timeline, independent of promises made on social media. We first thought it might drop in the final days of 2023, and later on January 12 – coinciding with Kid Cudi’s INSANO album. Now, it’s said to be hitting DSPs on February 9, but only time will tell if the artists come through.

Despite not delivering new music, West has been shamelessly outside and networking with fellow creatives, including JPEGMAFIA. Seeing these two come together is something of a surprise, especially after all the 34-year-old had to say about Yeezy in his since-deleted online rant this week. “Also Kanye West I respect [you], but the way [you] acknowledge n****s who have less to offer [you] than me makes me feel a way,” Peggy vented. “I’m a scientist in the lab, a surgeon bruh. And [you] skip over me for n****s that’s getting they baby mommas f**ked on camera. I wanna make money f**k these n****s.”

On Friday (January 19), JPEG’s Twitter/X page lit up with a new photo of him and Ye together in all-black ensembles. The “All Falls Down” hitmaker wore a shark tooth necklace to match the new shiny addition to his mouth, while the New York native let a simple gold cross chain hang outside his black jacket. “Vultures ,” Peggy wrote in his caption, potentially suggesting he and West have a collaboration on the way.

Elsewhere online, Kanye West proudly showed off his new James Bond-inspired teeth on social media. The rumours of the Atlanta-born entertainer having his chompers removed to wear them have been dispelled, but his firstborn, North West, is already flashing some shiny new grills of her own. Few rappers have fanbases that ride for them as hard as the Vamps do for Playboi Carti. As he moves toward dropping off his next LP, the Whole Lotta Red hitmaker is feeling their support more than ever before. As they wait for new music from their favourite rapper, many have returned to streaming his 2020 effort, which features Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Future.

After returning with “2024” this past weekend, Carti promised that if online plays continued to increase, he would share more music ahead of the new year. Today (December 19), his Instagram feed lit up with the previously teased “H00DBYAIR,” which is receiving rave reviews so far in the comments. “How do you drop a song [in] the last week of this year and it’s still better than everything else dropped from the last 350 days?” one user asked.

“Better than Kanye,” another person argued. The Yeezy founder’s Vultures project with Ty Dolla Sign was expected to hit streamers earlier this month. Nicki Minaj & 50 Cent Collab Coming Soon, Queen Of Rap Dropping Four New “Pink Friday 2” Songs

As the weekend comes to a close, first reactions to Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 continue to pour in. For the most part, The Barbz seem impressed with their fearless leader, who found a beautiful balance between vulnerable venting in her lyrics, and relying on clever (sometimes raunchy) wordplay to keep us laughing. Minaj has been busy preparing for her upcoming tour now that the LP is finally here, but according to recent Twitter posts, she’s not quite done delivering treats yet.

On Friday (December 8), the Queen of Rap responded to a tweet naming Complex‘s two favourite songs from the project, “Beep Beep” and “Everybody” featuring Lil Uzi Vert. “Well wait ’til they hear Schfifty Schent verse on it next week. #GagCity, we here,” Minaj wrote, causing a stir among hip-hop heads. She and the New Yorker have never before joined forces on a track, meaning PF2 is delivering even more than just her first song with J. Cole, which has already emerged as a fan favourite.

When the Power producer wished Nicki a happy birthday on Saturday (December 9), she was more worried about demanding he submit his work than thanking Curtis Jackson for his kind words. As Yahoo Entertainment notes, the mother of one has promised that a total of four more songs will be coming, including collaborations with Keyshia Cole and Monica, whom she recently went Live with. “Next week #GagCity welcomes a new edition every day beginning Monday or Tuesday,” Minaj tweeted. “Every day until Friday, you’ll get an [additional] song that completes my fave body of work to date. 4 more songs.”

Fif doesn’t put out music at the rate he did in his younger years, but still, the New Yorker is a name high in demand lately. Earlier this fall he helped 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne out with their long-awaited Welcome 2 Collegrove LP, and now, it sounds like he’ll be blowing us away on whatever Nicki Minaj is cooking up next for her Pink Friday 2 rollout. SZA Thirst Traps Outside In A White Thong & Oversized Jacket: “P.S. This Will Make Sense Soon”

Before she confirmed the speculation that her body was surgically enhanced on SOS last year, SZA fans were curious to know more about the notable changes we’ve seen in the singer’s appearance. She’s long been shutting down rumours about having cosmetic work on her face. Still, the TDE superstar wasn’t shy about admitting to thickening up her famous booty with the income she secured from the success of Ctrl. As the one-year anniversary of her sophomore album approaches in December, it seems SZA is using her hourglass figure as a marketing technique to promote the deluxe edition, which she previously promised would be dropping this autumn.

“So, the deluxe is a whole nother album, and it’s called ‘LANA,’” the “Drew Barrymore” hitmaker announced during a September concert. “It’s 7-10 songs, and it’ll be out this fall,” SZA noted. In recent weeks, a new teaser of a never-before-heard song from the genre-bending vocalist surfaced online, however, diehard fans have their reservations about how legitimate it is. Instead of buying into leaks and rumours, many are waiting for SZA to give us an update on the project herself, and it looks like one may have landed on her Twitter on Friday (November 24) afternoon.

SZA’s Body Has Our Full Attention

Posing in little more than a white thong and an unzipped, oversized leather jacket, SZA stands outside, fixing her hair while posing for the camera. Of course, the image has nothing to do with music. However, her accompanying caption suggests it might still somehow give us clues about LANA. “Alright y’all, be safe now. Love you, bye,” she mysteriously wrote, in true Scorpio fashion. “P.S., this will make sense soon.”

Now that she’s a well-established R&B icon, SZA doesn’t have to worry about where her next paycheck comes from anytime soon. “Saint Michael V2”: Trippie Redd Delivers 10 New Songs On Full-Length Project

After a quiet 2022, Trippie Redd fans have been eating good all 2023. The Ohio-born artist began the year with a bang, dropping MANSION MUSIK in January, and after letting that settle for a bit, he closed out the summer with A Love Letter To You 5. Little did we know that Trippie was on his way to becoming a father at this time, and after unleashing his Saint Michael EP with the world a few weeks back, he shared the first photo of his little one with the world. That seven-track effort saw just one feature, from BANKS on “Saint Michael Myers,” and quickly brought the genre-bending artist tons of praise.

When he confirmed that 10 new songs would be coming on Saint Michael V2 this New Music Friday (November 24), hip-hop heads were eager to hear what else Redd has been cooking up. NBA YoungBoy’s “Decided 2” Album Preceded By Cryptic IG Message: “I Ain’t Got No F**king Friends Thug”

NBA YoungBoy’s 2023 album run has been one of the most impressive we’ve seen this year, but just because he’s putting out music consistently doesn’t mean it’s all roses and rainbows in the Louisana native’s life. Rather, the lyricist shared that he’s been feeling particularly isolated in an Instagram Story before his Decided 2 LP hit DSPs at midnight. The sole feature on the 18-track LP comes from Rod Wave on “Better Than Ever,” and interestingly, the 24-year-old noted before dropping that he’s feeling particularly lonely as of late.

“I ain’t got no f**king friends thug,” YB wrote over a black screen on Thursday (November 9) afternoon. “Y’all the ones got it twisted, ain’t nobody here for me when I’m OV. On Sherhonda, I’m gone die on this mountain I own b**ch,” the embattled artist wrote on his Story. “Before I call on you or brake – Top Ni**a,” he added. It’s unclear exactly what set NBA off this time, though it’s possible the ongoing accusations from one of his children’s mothers could have something to do with it.

According to Arcola, her co-parent had two women gang up on her during a visit to his house. “Watch who you have kids by,” the alleged victim wrote on Twitter along with a photo of her bloody face earlier this week. “My son’s dad let his wh**eS, yes wh**res with an s ’cause it was two of them weak a** h**s. He gave them an order to get me lol you know b**ches who never came from s**t gone do it. My son was in my hands. His dad just sat back and watched smh,” she added.

Brandy’s “Christmas Party for Two” Single Will Get You In The Holiday Spirit Early This Year

The first week of November may seem a bit early for some to be blasting Christmas music, but according to Brandy, there’s no time like the present to prepare for the season of giving. This past New Music Friday (Nov. 3), the songbird unveiled her first solo original holiday song, titled “Christmas Party for Two.” The sultry single is the first we’ve heard from next week’s festive album, and based on what she’s serving up vocally, we’re sure things will only get hotter as we celebrate Christmas With Brandy on November 10.

Brandy’s new arrival boasts production by Ron “Neff-U” Feemster and David Williams III, which beautifully compliments her singing. “Let me sit beside ya / I warmed up some cider / I’ll relax your mind ’cause / I can recognize you need someone to make you feel the way that I do,” she croons on the first verse. When the chorus comes around, she lyricizes about getting undressed for her lover, and being his present in exchange for feeling his presence with her. “That’s all that I’m askin’ of you,” Brandy promises him.

Brandy Drops Off Her First Original Holiday Song

As HipHopDX notes, the “Vocal Bible” hitmaker has plenty of Christmas-themed events to gear up for this month. On the 16th, Netflix’s Best. Christmas. Just a week later, on the 23rd, you can catch the 44-year-old bringing life to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, where she’s set to perform some of her new arrivals.

Kanye West Album With Ty Dolla Sign Remains In Limbo After Promotional IG Post Vanishes

There’s a new update in the Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign album rollout saga, and unfortunately for fans of the pair, it doesn’t seem positive. After generating hype surrounding their joint project with plans of a live performance in Italy and a star-studded listening party, both events have been suddenly cancelled or postponed. There’s been some speculation that the pair is simply pushing their surprise release back to allow other artists to shine at this time. Of course, it’s worth noting that we’ve seen Ye scrap his work in the past without a second thought, so we can’t rule that possibility out either.

On Friday (November 3), eyebrows began to raise as Ty Dolla’s promotional post for his joint LP with the father of four is no longer on his Instagram. “So this truly turned out to be like ‘Yandhi,’” one disappointed Twitter user wrote after hearing the news. “This was the only outcome,” another person wrote, predicting that the album was sure to fail from the start.

Until we have confirmation of beef from either Ye or Ty Dolla directly, it’s hard to say what’s happening behind the scenes. The Yeezy founder’s past few rollouts have been notably chaotic. As a result, fans don’t seem to be fighting off too much shock regarding all the hitches. We haven’t heard a new verse from Ye since he appeared with Lil Durk on Cardi B’s 2022 single, “Hot S**t,” which dropped months after he dissed Pete Davidson with The Game on “Eazy.”

Seeing as J Prince dubbed Kanye West’s unreleased album as “hot” after hearing it during their link-up in Saudi Arabia, we at least know the 46-year-old has some sort of project ready to go. Kali Uchis Previews Spanish “Orquideas” Album With “Te Mata” Single: Stream

Any artists who plan on releasing new music before 2023 comes to a close have only a few New Music Fridays left to do so. Kali Uchis isn’t planning on giving us another album this year after dropping one ahead of her iconic Coachella performance in the spring, but the black-haired beauty did return with a new single today (October 20) to show us what’s in store for 2024. Uchis confirmed earlier this month that her Spanish album, Orquideas, is due out in early January. Both the previously released “Munekita” featuring el Alfa and JT and today’s “Te Mata” are on the tracklist, along with 12 other unnamed titles.

In the new Josh Crocker and Manuel Lara-produced single, Uchis lyricizes about life after a painful heartbreak. After some struggle, she manages to alchemize her pain into happiness – at the expense of her ex. “Well that’s already over, that’s not me anymore / I’m finally happy, my days are no longer gray / I finally realized that I deserve much more / and that kills you,” her lyrics, translated from Spanish by Uproxx, express.

Kali Uchis Stuns in New “Te Mata” Music Video

The upcoming LP will be the fourth studio release from Uchis, who made her debut in 2015 with Por Vida. She’s since gone on to collaborate with the likes of Tyler, The Creator, Jorja Smith, Steve Lacy, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Rico Nasty, and boyfriend Don Toliver on multiple occasions. Kanye West’s New Album Distribution Might Become Rick Ross’ Responsibility

The last time Kanye West attempted to roll out an album, the process was nothing short of tumultuous. Of course, at this point, the rapper’s fanbase has become accustomed to regular delays and cancellations from their favourite artist, who’s been hinting at something cooking up over the past few months. He and Ty Dolla Sign have reportedly been planning for a massive performance in Italy, though that was postponed earlier this week. Amid that news, reports of West having a difficult time finding a distributor for his next LP have been spreading rapidly.

Even with all the trouble he’s landed himself in over his comments on the Jewish community, the 46-year-old still has friends willing to stick their neck out for him. Among them is Rick Ross, who publicly expressed an interest in signing West to his Maybach Music Group label. “Imagine if Ye came and allowed MMG to distribute his new project,” the “Purple Lamborghini” hitmaker reflected.
