Rick Ross Reveals A New Movie And Album “Champagne Moments” Are In Motion, Fans Say He Is Trying To Be Like This Rapper

Over the past several months, Rick Ross has been quite active in dropping new tracks. Of course, the catalyst of this trend is his collaborative record with his MMG (Maybach Music Group) signee, Meek Mill. Too Good To Be True, is full of luxurious bangers. However, the album is not a watermark in Ross’s discography. That is apparent, especially when you look at the lackluster first-week sales numbers.

However, the fact that he is still willing to drop more music regularly is a privilege. Ross continues to prove that he can drop good verses on other artists’ tracks. Go listen to the new 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE and Rich Brian cut “LiGhT rAiLs.” Hopefully, we get more of those performances on the upcoming record he has just announced. In a recent video, Ross says that Champagne Moments is the name of the LP and is in the works.

That is about all we know on that front for now. In addition, Rozay also shared that he is working on funding and directing a movie, according to HipHopNMore. While these are both exciting developments, fans are saying he is doing his best to copy 50 Cent’s blueprint. The Hip-Hop Wolf‘s IG account has numerous comments that say things like, “He doesn’t want to admit it but dude stays copying 50😂” Or, “He thinks he’s 50😂🤡” Of course, Ross and 50 have been going at each other for quite some time. However, the saying goes, “Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.”

What are your thoughts on Rick Ross revealing a new album and an upcoming movie? Will Champagne Moments be one of his better projects as of late? Do you think a single will drop in the next week or two? Are fans accurate with the 50 Cent comparison? Would you see a film directed by Rick Ross? Kota The Friend Spits With Ease On Upcoming Album Cut “Yuma”

Kota the Friend just has a knack for writing quick but memorable cuts. That is what he was able to do with his latest effort “Yuma.” Another thing he likes to do is travel as a lot of song titles are either named after states, cities, and landmarks. Kota’s last journey took him to the scenic West Coast state of “Oregon” for what is now the lead single to his upcoming album.

The prolific rapper hailing from Brooklyn has a long-standing series in his discography. Lyrics to GO has four entries with the most recent one dropping nearly a year ago to the day. Now, Kota will be introducing us to the fifth installment this coming Thursday, January 25. The project will feature 12 tracks and one feature/beat from the legendary Hit-Boy.

Listen To “Yuma” By Kota the Friend

Some of the names of the songs include “Milan,” “Vienna,” “Beijing,” Alabama Hills,” and “Yuma.” The latter is the second and presumably last rollout single for Lyrics to GO Vol. 5. It is another short listen with sharp lyricism. Kota details how fun it is to travel across the country to perform. He also talks about living a free life while simultaneously thinking back to the unfortunate lives his ancestors lived.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Yuma,” by Kota the Friend? Is this one of his better songs in recent memory? Will Lyrics to GO Vol. 5 be the best installment in the series, why or why not? Out of the two album singles, which one is better and why? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Madlib & Karriem Riggins Join Forces For New Song “Stomping Gamay”

Madlib and Karriem Riggins recently teamed up to announce their new album under their joint project Jahari Massamba Unit. The album, YHWH Is Love, is slated for release on March 1, 2024 via Law of Rhythm. The 14-track LP will follow the duo’s first album as Jahari Massamba Unit, Pardon My French, which they unveiled back in 2020.

To give listeners a taste of what’s to come, the drummer and producer delivered the album’s lead single, “Stomping Gamay.” Groovy and ethereal, the nearly five-minute-long track has certainly managed to muster fans’ excitement for the upcoming release. If it compares to the musical voyage they’ve taken listeners on so far, it’s safe to say it’ll quickly become a fan favorite.

Madlib & Karriem Riggins Announce New Jahari Massamba Unit Album

As for the duo’s creative process, Riggins reportedly delivers his drum loops to Madlib, who adds his own instrumentation and more into the mix. “Our voices together are a collage of everything that we love,” Riggins told Joel Biswas for Passion Of The Weiss in 2021. “Trying to add onto the art or the music that we study.”

Their Jahari Massamba Unit project is far from the only creative endeavor Madlib and Riggins have embarked on as of late, however. Last year, Riggins teamed up with Common and Patrick Warren for the soundtrack of the Netflix series Mo. Madlib’s dropped various collaborative projects throughout the year. His most recent full-length release was his collaborative album with Mayhem Lauren and DJ Muggs, Champagne For Breakfast, which the trio shared in April. Madlib also dropped a full-length solo project, Sound Ancestors, in January of 2021. What do you think of Madlib and Karriem Riggins’ new Jahari Massamba Unit song? Will you be adding “Stomping Gamay” to your winter playlist? Are you looking forward to their new Jahari Massamba Unit album, YHWH Is Love? Metro Boomin Performs At VMAs, Teases Future Project, And Pays Tribute To His Mother

Metro Boomin is on an unprecedented winning streak right now. After taking over the backend of 2022 with the release of his incredible HEROES & VILLAINS tape, it seems like there is nothing that is going to get in the way of Metro’s dominance. He swung into the recording booth to produce the soundtrack for the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film. Now, we have two of the most-anticipated releases maybe of the past five years, with his two collaboration projects. One of those is his project with Future, which has been teased relentlessly up until this point. We got more confirmation at the VMAs last night.

According to Fader, right before Future joined Metro Boomin on stage to perform their hit, “Superhero (Heroes & Villains),” the producer gave the crowd another update. “MTV VMA 2023 what we doin? Me and Pluto album on the way,” Metrooo shouted out to the crowd. He hovered about the stage behind the DJ booth, as the Atlanta trap rap superstar spit his verses. Then, right before the beat switch on “Superhero,” Future exited stage left so three other artists could take the stage.

Metro Boomin And More Perform “Superhero (Heroes & Villains)” And “Calling” At VMAs: Watch

The hit song “Calling” from the Spider-Verse album was up next. Swae Lee, followed by NAV, and then A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, came together to put on a laid-back show for the fans. The phone flashlights were waving in the crowd as all three put in a nice performance. It was touching and low-key, but there was a reason both of these songs were chosen by Metro. Uproxx got word that he was paying tribute to his late mother, Leslie Wayne.

What are your initial thoughts on Metro Boomin’s performances of “Superhero (Heroes & Villains)” and “Calling” at the 2023 MTV VMAs? Which song was put on better? Are you still excited for his and Future’s collab album? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. Sampha Announces New Album “Lahai”

Sampha recently took to social media to announce his first full-length offering in six years. He shared the news on Instagram today (August 24), alongside what appears to be the album’s cover art. Sampha revealed that the album is called Lahai and the English performer took the opportunity to share a bit more about it. He explained that the title is both his grandfather’s name and his own middle name, calling the project his “next musical chapter.”

As expected, fans can’t wait to hear more about the artist’s highly-anticipated upcoming LP. The artist included what appears to be a tracklist in his caption, sparking further speculation about the album. The new LP will follow 2017’s Process, and an official release date has yet to be confirmed. The announcement also comes after Sampha unveiled his first solo track in years, “Spirit 2.0,” in June.

Sampha Reveals The Significance Of “Lahai”

“It’s about the importance of connection to both myself and others, and the beauty and harsh realities of just existing. It’s about acknowledging those moments when you need help — that requires real strength,” Sampha said of his recent single. “I hope people can enjoy that feeling of someone being there for you, even if that person doesn’t have the answers. Just calling someone up without overthinking… letting go and just dancing.. wanting to see past the mundanity of things and appreciating the magic of it all, from birds nests to spaceships.”

Last month, Sampha was photographed linking up with Tyler, the Creator. Though the two of them didn’t appear to be hitting the studio, it managed to get fans talking about a possible collab. Drake also previously teased something he may in the works with the 34-year-old, claiming they were “cooking up something crazy” back in June. He shared a photo of himself alongside Sampha’s doppelganger, however, leaving plans for a new collab unconfirmed. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Sampha and Lahai.

Baby Keem Teases New Album During Osheaga Set

Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from Baby Keem ever since he dropped “The Hillbillies” with Kendrick Lamar earlier this year. The song peaked at #93 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sparked a viral hunt for the Dublin Airport worker who appeared in the video. It was Keem’s first chart success since 2021’s “Family Ties”, also with Kendrick Lamar, which went three times platinum and peaked at #18.

Furthermore, fans have long awaited a follow-up to Keem’s debut studio album, The Melodic Blue. Released in September 2021, the album is certified platinum and peaked at #5 on the Billboard Album 200. It included two features from Lamar, as well as tracks with Don Toliver and Travis Scott. Well, it’s good news for Keem’s fans as there is reportedly a new album on the way.

Keem Drops Surprise Album Announcement

The surprise announcement came during Keem’s performance at the Osheaga Festival in Quebec. At the end of his set, Keem simply said “New album coming soon motherfuckers.” No other details are available at this time but it’s safe to say that fans are hyped about the reveal. “We’re so back,” one fan commented on Twitter. The Osheaga Festival continues throughout the weekend. The final day of the festival, August 6, is set to be headlined by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Kim Petras, and Central Cee.

However, it’s not the only headline that Keem has been scoring recently. On the recently released album from JPEGMafia and Danny Brown, Scaring the Hoes: DLC Pack, JPEGMafia took a shot at Keem. “Bitch, I ain’t Baby Keem, my cousin ain’t gave me shit,” JPEGMafia said on the track “NO! (x32)”. The line is a reference to the fact that Kendrick Lamar is not only Keem’s regular collaborator but also his cousin. However, despite the claims of music industry nepotism, Keem has been able to forge his own career outside of Kendrick. Regardless, it’s likely that we will get more updates on Keem’s new project in the coming weeks. Be sure to follow all of the news about it and more here at HotNewHipHop.

On Monday (June 26), Posty confirmed the release date for the project – July 28th – via Twitter. “My new record ‘AUSTIN’ has 17 songs,” he excitedly shared along with the other news. “Here’s a snippet of one of ’em, I love you!!!” the “Congratulations” singer’s message ended. Lil Dicky Dropping “Dave” Soundtrack After Eight-Year Hiatus

FX’s Dave is a rollicking good time, showcasing how rap fame and the pursuit of said fame can affect a person and their relationships. The only downside of this Hulu hit show is that Lil Dicky hasn’t released new music. The show’s creator and “rapper’s rapper,” Dave Burd, is finally coming out with an album, the soundtrack to Dave, after not doing so for eight years. His last album, Professional Rapper, is the only studio album to his credit. He also hasn’t gone on a true tour in five years. Unfortunately, TV can do that to a budding rapper.

Speaking to Variety, Lil Dicky was excited about this potential album: “It’s a really strong body of work that I’m super proud of. I was surprised when I took a step back and looked at the inventory of stuff that [has] made it into the show — ‘Oh, my God, there’s like a great album here of work that can live on its own.’” During Dave outros and credits, you can hear snippets of new, unreleased music that Lil Dicky has been hoarding. Twenty-second clips pave the way for three-minute songs on an album that’s sure to excite long-waiting fans.

What To Expect From Lil Dicky’s “Dave” Soundtrack

Lil Dicky is well-known for going meta and providing social commentary on what the rap industry is and his part in it. So it stands to reason that this upcoming soundtrack album will have some of the classic Dicky pastiche. Expect random conversations with himself, popular songs from the TV show, and a ton of appearances by Dave hypeman Gata.

The soundtrack album, set to release at the end of this summer, is Lil Dicky’s first full-length project in almost a decade. He believes there’s a full track list from the three seasons of Dave, the third and most recent season finishing its air run in May of this year. The rapper created a climate crisis-focused “Earth” collaboration in 2019 with almost everyone in music (as well as a Leo DiCaprio guest spot). He also got wide notoriety from his “Freaky Friday” single and music video with Chris Brown. Dave Burd’s continual knack for getting uber-famous people to do things has made his music and his show top-notch entertainment, as it shows a different side to these celebrities.

While Chance has been pretty quiet musically in 2023 so far, last year he released a number of singles. Which ones may eventually end up on Star Line Gallery or when the album will actually drop is still unclear. Let us know if you’re excited about a new Chance album in the comments below.
