Angel Reese is seemingly going to be followed by critics for the rest of her life. Ever since transferring from the University of Maryland to head to Louisiana State, she has had to constantly deal with scrutiny. Her competitive fire on and off the hardwood has led her to be viewed as a controversial figure. Unfortunately, most of hate she has gotten over the last two years or so has pretty much been unearned. However, when you join a major program, more eyes and ears are on you at all times. Of course, the main headline that swirled around the power forward was her alleged low GPA. What was really surprising throughout all of that was that Flau’jae Johnson’s (a now former teammate) parents were feuding with Angel’s parents about this. However, with Angel Reese graduating from LSU, she can put a damper on them and everyone else who had something to say.

According to The Shade Room, the number seven overall draft pick of the Chicago Sky posted some pictures of her in her “Bayou Barbie” graduation cap and black suit just yesterday. Angel graduated in four years with a major in interdisciplinary studies and minors in communication studies, leadership development and psychology. The caption for the post was fitting, addressing all of the doubters and fools who believed the supposed fake news. “So now what? what was said? oh okay that’s what i thought. I graduated from THE LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY IN 4 YEARS ON TIME💋 i thought somebody without a college degree said sum.😘”

50 Cent Thinks Diddy’s Alleged Secret Tapes Have Scared His Peers Into Silence

On Friday, CNN exclusively obtained some disturbing 2016 footage of Diddy allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie at a hotel. The footage appears to corroborate some of the accusations the singer made against Diddy in her 2023 lawsuit, which was settled almost immediately after she filed. Since it came out, the footage has been making its rounds online, with countless social media users and peers weighing in.

One of Diddy’s most vocal critics, 50 Cent, was quick to react. Shortly after the video was released, he took to Instagram, mocking the Bad Boy Records founder for maintaining his innocence amid the various lawsuits waged against him in recent months. While it may seem as though Diddy’s situation couldn’t get any worse right now, he was hit with even more allegations yesterday. Male producer Prince accuses the mogul of trying to “blackball” him from the industry because he refused his sexual advances. Of course, 50 Cent had a few things to say about that too.

50 Cent Reacts To Prince’s Diddy Allegations

In response to Prince’s upsetting allegations, 50 Cent shared them on Instagram. He also provided followers with a theory as to why more of Diddy’s celebrity peers aren’t speaking up. According to him, it may be because they’re just as guilty. “😳I don’t know, this is so bad 🤦,” he wrote. “A lot of people aren’t saying anything because they are in them tapes.”

For those who don’t recall, Diddy was speculated to have had various tapes confiscated from his mansions when Homeland Security raided them in March. Hit-Boy has been on a remarkable run over the last year and change, but certainly in 2024. The legendary Fontana, California-bred producer and writer has worked with a bucket load of artists from all levels of popularity, Of course, he has been mostly working alongside his father, Big Hit, for the majority of this time frame we are referring to. His dad has certainly been through a lot, and it has been wholesome to see the father/son rapper/producer tandem drop some quality music. Very soon, Hit-Boy will be dropping a pretty major project in the next week.

That will be Black & Whites with Big Hit and fellow producing great The Alchemist. The trio has put out two promotional cuts, “Foreclosure” and the self-titled track,” over the last week and half. But on May 30, the project will be here, and it should be something to behold. However, Hit-Boy is still pumping out material even with the impending release, like this new EP DONT WAIT UNTIL I DIE.

However, JT has totally flipped that script and is coming through with arguably her best material to date. Sure, the familiar vibes are there, but mic presence and production are up across the board. Her feature game has also been on point, landing on Doechii’s house-inspired banger “Alter Ego.”

It is safe to say that she has given herself a lot of confidence. Her most single “OKAY” and its extended version saw her send a plentiful quantity of subliminal shots at her contemporaries such as Sukihana. With this blazing start, she is now poised to drop her debut project quite soon. JT announced that City Cinderella is on the way, all while flaunting her bodacious curves in some sultry neon bikini pics.

BIG30 Is Looking To Prove He Is “Still King” On New LP

Memphis, Tennesee might be one of the hardest cities for a rapper to stand out in. Just think about all og the powerhouse names that originate from there. You have Key Glock, GloRilla, Yo Gotti, Juicy J, Moneybagg Yo, and so many others. One quality that all of these artists share would be the trademark Memphis accent and the resonant cadence. Sometimes, that similarity can really make it hard for listeners to discern who they are listening to. Unfortunately, for BIG30, he is one of the MCs that are having a harder go of things.

While he certainly has the connections in the industry like Pooh Shiesty and Yo Gotti, and a handful of popular tracks, it seems that he gets lost in the mix. By no means does BIG30 put out bad music. However, in that same breath, he does not stick out amongst his neighboring contemporaries. To us there really is not anything that makes him unique enough to garner more that replay ability factor.

His latest album, Still King, is proof of that in some respects. At 17 tracks and minimal features, the tracks feel like they are repeating themselves. It also does not help that his “brrrr” adlibs sound exactly like Pooh Shiesty’s either. At the end of the day, this is not a bad album, but it just does not move the needle.

Courtney Bell Calls On Detroit Icon Royce Da 5’9″ To Help Release “Microdose”

2020 was the last year for a brand-new Courtney Bell project, but this weekend changed that with Microdose. The ultra-talented lyricist from Detroit, Michigan has been stirring up a lot of interest in this mixtape over the last few months. Most people were unaware that this tape’s rollout began back in late January with the now lead single “Westside.” It featured a fellow Motown legend Royce Da 5’9″ and most would reason that he was going to be just a feature.

However, the frequent Eminem collaborator has turned to have a much larger hand in this endeavor. If fact, this is listed as a joint project between Courtney and Royce. The latter has another three appearances across the 14-song tracklist. He can also be heard on “Bang,” “Get Em High” (another promo track), and “BANZ.”

KILLY Rocks A Unique Delivery Over A Wintery Beat On “FR33ZING”

KILLY, Canadian/Filipino rapper, has been an active voice in 2024. The soon-to-be 27-year-old has dropped multiple singles and two-packs over these first five and half months. He began the year with POP 2, a twofer of tracks with Fourfive and Dom Corleo back in February. Then, in early March, he flew solo on ALL CAPS, which featured the self-titled cut and “GLEE.” Finally, at the end of that same month, he linked up with Bedoes 2115, mlody klakson, kittiesloverage, 2115, and francis for “EMBASSY / AMBASADA.”

Now, KILLY is back with a new solo effort that sticks to his dark trap rap roots called “FR33ZING.” Out of all of his drops this year, this is arguably his most intriguing and best. He has a pretty distinctive auto-tuned voice to begin with, but he experiments a little more this time around. KILLY goes into a deeper register to fit the frigid beat he is spitting over.

He was clearly locked in for this studio session, as his energy level and animated adlibs are proof of that. The “Killamonjaro” MC does a great job of bringing a cadence that matches the wintery vibe. The instrumental is also a nice change of pace, with its cold chimes and bells and rounded bass. We recommend “FR33ZING” over anything we have heard him put forth in 2024.

His deliberate flow makes it easy to dissect every bar and entendre he spits at you. Today, Your Old Droog is back with another one of those cutthroat records called “Mercury Thermometers.” This is his latest offering, and it follows up on a handful of stellar features over the last couple of weeks. “DBZ” with Method Man, Denzel Curry and Madlib was one hell of a team-up and has quickly risen to the top of Droog’s most popular tracks on Spotify.

Another song that has been hitting for him has been “REEKYOD.” Another Madlib-backed track, Zel’s spot is swapped for another icon, Black Thought. While they are not his tracks, Droog still brings it to each offering, but that should not be a surprise. “Mercury Thermometers” is his track though, and it is also a lead single for a new project coming soon.

Jake Gyllenhaal And The ‘SNL’ Cast Said Goodbye To Season 49 In Pure ’90s R&B Fashion

49 is big number. Tonight (May 18), Saturday Night Live closed out its 49th season with a bang. Though finishing 49 seasons is a huge milestone, tonight’s host Jake Gyllenhaal was seemingly hoping to be in the running to host the premiere of season 50, which will take place later this year.

But of course, Gyllenhaal was determined to make this finale special. Near the end of his opening monologue, Gyllenhaal broke out into song — a special rework of Boyz II Men‘s ’90s classic, “End Of The Road.”

During his cover, Gyllenhaal surprised the audience with his pipes, delivering strong vocals as he hilariously jokes that Pedro Pascal and Ryan Gosling were asked to host this episode before him (even though they have both previously hosted this past season).

While Gyllenhaal was captivating the audience with his singing, a few of the cast members elevated the performance.

Punkie Johnson, Ego Nwodim, Kenan Thompson, and Devon Walker joined in, giving the song additional harmonies, taking it to the next level.

Although a hosting slot for the season 50 premiere of SNL is highly coveted, the quality of this opening monologue is going to be hard to match.
