Lisa Marie Presley Was So Upset About The Portrayal Of Her Father In ‘Priscilla’ That She Emailed Sofia Coppola About It

Just a few months before her death, Lisa Marie Presley had vowed to speak out about Sofia Coppola’s new movie, Priscilla, which focuses on the tumultuous and controversial courtship between Presley’s mother and the late legendary singer Elvis Presley.

According to emails obtained by Variety, Lisa Marie was furious over the portrayal of her father and wrote Coppola in September 2022 shortly before the film started production. Lisa Marie had seen a version of the script and described it as “shockingly vengeful and contemptuous.” Presley also pleaded with Coppola that the film would only further strain her relationship with her mother.

“My father only comes across as a predator and manipulative. As his daughter, I don’t read this and see any of my father in this character. I don’t read this and see my mother’s perspective of my father. I read this and see your shockingly vengeful and contemptuous perspective and I don’t understand why?” Presley wrote in one of her messages.

Presley later vowed to take her fight against Priscilla to the media.

“I will be forced to be in a position where I will have to openly say how I feel about the film and go against you, my mother and this film publicly,” Lisa Marie wrote.

While Presley wouldn’t get a chance to contest the film, Coppola did respond to her emails. The writer/director reportedly wrote back, “I hope that when you see the final film you will feel differently, and understand I’m taking great care in honoring your mother, while also presenting your father with sensitivity and complexity.”

According to Variety, the film is based on the book Elvis and Me, and prior to Lisa Marie’s complaints, there were already efforts to “tone down” some of the book’s elements about the couple’s relationship that would not play well with modern audiences.

Priscilla is now playing in theaters.

Drake Sets This Billboard Milestone For Tour Sales In Hip-Hop

Drake’s unquestionably at the top of the game commercially, and has been for many years up until this point. However, just because he keeps setting records doesn’t mean his chances of breaking them get any slimmer. Moreover, the 6 God just set a new record as the highest-grossing touring rap act, according to Billboard, which means that he’s made more money off of tours than any other rapper throughout his career. Other metrics exist for the highest-grossing tours, individual shows, and more, and you can bet that he’s near the top of those lists, too. Yet, with over 3.9 million tickets sold and profits of approximately $473 million, the 37-year-old stands alone in all-time profits.

Furthermore, Drake’s latest milestone has a few interesting facts and curiosities to it. For example, he’s performed 304 shows for his tours, so this doesn’t count one-off performances, guest appearances, and things of that nature. Drizzy’s first tour show was on April 9, 2010 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Philadelphia. That show grossed him and his team $191,000. For comparison, the OVO mogul’s 2019 show at the O2 Arena in London, England earned him and his crew a whopping $13.5 million.

For those curious, Jay-Z is the runner-up in this field, with about $431 million in profits from 402 shows across his career. Other names in this list include Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Eminem, J. Cole, Tyler, The Creator, Nicki Minaj, and more. Interestingly enough, some very popular but relatively smaller artists also made the cut that might surprise you, such as $UICIDEBOY$. There’s also The Black Eyed Peas, which most people don’t view as part of hip-hop as much these days.

Regardless of those technicalities, Aubrey Graham’s accomplishment is impressive. If you take a look at the numbers for his best-selling album, it’s no wonder that he continues this dominance in every commercial field possible. Let us know in the comments whether you think he’s going to fall off now… and get ready for him to beat expectations once again soon. When buying Pokemon cards, it’s crucial to ensure that you’re purchasing from a reputable source. The last thing you want is to end up with counterfeit cards. Here are some general guidelines:

  1. Official Pokemon Stores: The Pokemon Company International operates several official stores worldwide. These stores guarantee genuine cards and often have the latest releases.
  2. Local Game Stores: Many local game stores stock Pokemon cards. Not only do they offer a wide variety, but you also get to support local businesses.
  3. Online Retailers: There are numerous online platforms where you can buy Pokemon cards. However, always check the seller’s reviews and ratings before purchasing.

Tips For Buying Pokemon Cards Online

Online shopping offers convenience, but it also comes with challenges. Here are some tips to ensure a smooth buying experience:

  • Research the Seller: Before purchasing, always check the seller’s reputation. Look for reviews and ratings from previous buyers.
  • Check for Authenticity: Genuine Pokemon cards have specific markings and holographic patterns. Familiarize yourself with these to avoid buying counterfeits.
  • Understand the Return Policy: Ensure that the seller has a clear return policy in case you’re not satisfied with the cards.

Why Buying Genuine Pokemon Cards Matters

Giveon Offers His Rendition Of “The First Noel”

Still one of the more unheralded R&B singers of the past few years, Giveon is back to ring in the holiday season. He does so by bearing his version of one of the most well-known Christmas tunes of all time, “The First Noel.” Whether you groan at the sound of these songs or have them on repeat well after the holiday, you cannot deny that the music makes it a more jolly time of year. Honestly, we were wondering when Giveon was going to release some Christmas songs.

The man possesses one of the most deep and beautiful voices in the genre. It has been quite some time since Giveon has released any new material. In fact, over a year has passed by with nothing in sight. The last time we heard the Californian was for a single from the soundtrack of the film Amsterdam.

Listen To “The First Noel” From Giveon

He did nab another Drake feature for that record, though. When it comes to albums June 24, 2022, was the last day we got to hear a full project. That was Give Or Take, a 15-track solo offering. Hopefully, this version of “The First Noel,” is a sign for a collection of Christmas carols.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Giveon, “The First Noel?” Is this the best version of this all-time great Christmas song? When do you start listening to Christmas music? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Jacob Elordi Thanks Eminem For Helping Him Learn An American Accent

Eminem is many people’s introduction to hip-hop, a loaded and racially informed phenomenon that is too big of a can of worms to sum up succinctly. In the simplest of terms, Marshall Mathers opened up the genre to more ears, always recognizes why, and knows what responsibility to the culture he has. But what’s interesting is that his music might not just be an intro to hip-hop, but an intro to U.S. culture and language as a whole. At least, that’s the experience that Euphoria star Jacob Elordi can relate to, as he credits Em with helping him develop a U.S. accent as an Australian. Nate Jacobs himself remarked as such on The Kelly Clarkson Show recently.

“I listened to a lot of Eminem,” Jacob Elordi remarked while speaking with Kelly Clarkson about learning to let go of their native accents in their careers. “Like, a terrible amount of Eminem. It was, like, Detroit, and I still love that man. I feel like, more and more, I have to thank him so much.” Later on, the two got to discussing other artists from the U.S. (and England, in one’s case) that the actor is either listening to in this point of his life or that influenced his accent development.

“Right now, I mean, Bon Iver is my number one favorite thing to listen to,” Jacob Elordi remarked. “The National. I listen to a lot of David Bowie at the moment. But I have this thing with David Bowie that’s, like, overrated and underrated. Like, he’s so rated that then you kind of go back and you listen to the music and you’re like ‘Oh my God, it’s really good!’ It sounds silly, though, to say that David Bowie’s really good at making music. He’s an artist just across everything.”

Of course, there are many more reasons than ever to celebrate Slim Shady these days. He just released an expanded version of The Marshall Mathers LP 2 for its tenth anniversary, and also reached into the culinary bag yet again with his “Mom’s Spaghetti” sauce. But let’s not forget the reason why he’s at the level he’s at right now: his words, and by extension, the way in which he says them. For more news and the latest updates on Jacob Elordi and Eminem, come back to HNHH.

Metro Boomin Once Again Teases Future Collab Album

Fans of Metro Boomin have been hearing a LOT about a collaborative album he’s been working on with Future. He began earlier this year first with a soft announcement of the project and then with some pretty major promises for what they were working on. He described the project as “the ultimate album” a comment he eventually had to walk back on just to keep fan expectations in place.

Then in August, Metro shared another update to Twitter. In it he revealed to fans that they were already working on shooting the album cover for the project. While many fans thought that meant the album was right around the corner, that didn’t turn out to be the case. Part of the reason may have been revealed later that month. Metro took to Twitter to tell a story about how he lost three beats he was working on for the album due to a power outage. Check out the newest update he provided fans with below.

Metro Boomin Jokes About Future Album

The teases for the upcoming collaboration with Future didn’t stop there though. In fact, he’s continued to talk about it so much that it’s become a sort of meme among his fans. Earlier today, he poked fun at those fans begging for his new material tweeting “METro drOp tHe fUtuRE ALBUM.” Accompanying the tweet he shared a pic of the two together in the studio, presumably still hard at work on the project.

In the comments fans continue to request more info about the album. Some double down on the meme again asking him to drop it. Others claim that all they want is a release date, single, or just something to prove that it is in fact coming soon. What do you think of Metro Boomin making jokes about fans asking for him to drop the Future collab album? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kevin Abstract Hops Over To Indie Rock On “Blanket” LP

For the past month or so, Kevin Abstract has been on a torrent run dropping singles left and right. When this happens, you know a new album is in the works. Those assumptions were correct in this case as well, with the BROCKHAMPTON leader making a full return to his solo career. The news broke the day he released the lead single, “Blanket.”

In fact, that also was the title track. Blanket is Kevin’s first album since 2019’s ARIZONA BABY. He was still a part of the alternative hip-hop group during that time. However, when they announced their disbandment in 2022, that sort of opened the floodgates for the leader to focus on his own material. Hence we have this LP before us today.

Listen To Blanket From Kevin Abstract

If you heard the title track, you know that Kevin decided to make a total 180 genre-wise. This 13-track tape is an exploration across the indie rock space. If you want to get a more detailed idea of where he wanted to go with this album, check out the Apple Music link above. But, here is a little precursor for you. “His [album] covers many of the same themes [as his previous records], though from the vantage point of someone wiser, more worn, and less susceptible to the whirlwinds of love and love lost.”

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new album from Kevin Abstract, “Blanket?” Do you think it was the right move for him to ditch rap and go to an entirely different genre? Which songs are you enjoying the most so far? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Charleston White Lied About Barbershop Pistol-Whipping: “The Truth Is Not The Truth Anymore”

Recently, Charleston White took to social media, claiming to have been the victim of a horrible attack at a barbershop. He told followers that he was asleep in the chair when somebody “hit [him] upside the head with a gun.” In the video, White had a bandage on the right side of his face, riding in what appeared to be an ambulance.

For obvious reasons, the account sparked a lot of concern among fans, who pressed him for details about the suspect. In a strange turn of events, however, there actually is no suspect. White revealed today that he made the whole thing up, laughing at those who believed his fabricated claims.

Charleston White Laughs At Those Who Believed Him

“You internet n***as believe anything,” he began, chuckling. “The truth is not the truth anymore because of the internet.” White continued, describing how internet users believed his story without much real evidence. “No blood on my shirt, I got my chain on, and no video footage,” he said. “All y’all got is evidence of me saying what I’m saying.” He then laughed out loud again, mocking whoever he was able to fool. “The truth is what you can make motherf*ckers believe,” he claimed.

Many commenters are now confused about why White was in an ambulance, and curious if he was actually injured and only lied about how it occurred. He appears to be unharmed and in good spirits, however. Others say that they knew his story was a lie the entire time, claiming that it sounded far-fetched from the very beginning. It’s unclear why White decided to trick his followers, but it seems like it was just a strange attempt to teach internet users not to believe everything they hear. What do you think of Charleston White revealing that he lied about getting attacked at the barbershop?
