Kendrick Lamar Scores This Milestone For Feature On “Like That”

Kendrick Lamar has been an integral part of the mini resurgence in hip-hop this year. His verse on Metro Boomin and Future’s “Like That” has seemingly reignited the competitive fire that fans have been yearning to see again. It got J. Cole to respond with “7 Minute Drill,” but that has proven to be a failure as many think he fell flat on his face. The apology has further cemented K-Dot as the top dog in many people’s eyes. In addition to bringing the hype back to rap, “Like That” has done wonders for Kendrick, as he just scored a new milestone.

According to HipHopDX, Kung Fu Kenny has just nabbed his longest-running number song on the Billboard Hot 100. With “Like That recently remaining atop the chart for a second consecutive week, it surpassed two previous major works. Those include his guest appearance on Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” and the lead single for DAMN., “HUMBLE.” In terms of hard stats for “Like That,” they are equally impressive.

Kendrick Lamar’s Diss Continues To Do Wonders For Him

In just about three weeks, the diss aimed at Drake and J. Cole has collected over 109 million streams on Spotify. For context, it pulled in about 46 million in the last seven days. Furthermore, radio impressions are also high, sitting at around 10 million, and 6,000 sales-equivalent units is a respectable figure too. With all of this success, it would be wild if Kendrick, Metro, and Future were to team up on We Still Don’t Trust You. We can dream can’t we?

What are your thoughts on Kendrick Lamar earning his longest-running number one hit milestone with “Like That? Is this his best top-charting track, why or why not? Drake Breaks Kendrick Lamar’s Record For Best-Selling Rap Tour

As the highest-grossing touring act of all time in hip-hop across his entire career, it’s no surprise that Drake can beat a few more records in this field. Moreover, his It’s All A Blur tour became the best-selling rap tour of all time- and that’s counting just 30 of the 72 shows on its schedule. This means that the 6 God beat out Kendrick Lamar’s The Big Steppers tour, which previously held claim to this milestone. K.Dot’s trek grossed around $110 million, whereas current calculations from Touring Data indicate that Drizzy earned about $130 million so far. Once we have data from the entirety of this concert series, that number will probably skyrocket.

Furthermore, perhaps this is an indicator of how successful these massive and mainstream hip-hop tours must be to warrant a seat at the table. Drake could very well raise this record by more than double if these numbers are accurate, creating a lot of safe distance between him and whoever is number two in this race. Other high-profile treks like Travis Scott’s current UTOPIA run, Lil Uzi Vert’s The Pink Tape shows, and many others could also find themselves in contention. But getting these kinds of profits with less than half of your concerts is a tough metric to reach.

Drake’s Estimated It’s All A Blur Tour Numbers So Far

For those unaware, the It’s All A Blur tour is getting yet another collaborative leg in the U.S. Its first iteration was alongside 21 S*vage, and in early 2024, Drake will hit the road once again- this time with J. Cole– for the trek’s second leg: the Big As The What? run. Surely, this additional collection of performances will be equally as acclaimed and popular, especially with another artist who people consider the GOAT. It’s actually quite curious that their other competition, at least when it comes to gross tour sales, is the other candidate in that three-headed race. Also, given the possible differences in pricing points, it’s unclear whether this tour was simply more expensive or got more people into its seats, and many will argue about whether that’s a valid achievement to boast about.

Meanwhile, with the lyrically dense and sonically classic expansion to For All The Dogs, Scary Hours 3, it’s nice to hear that Aubrey Graham is treating the rap game more like a competition and proving his worth. It’s boring for sales to be your main point of dominance, even if he’s still as culturally influential and popular as ever. Once a titan brings the bars out, their place in hip-hop stardom is a much more treasured and interesting type of contested reign. Nevertheless, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake.

Drake Sets This Billboard Milestone For Tour Sales In Hip-Hop

Drake’s unquestionably at the top of the game commercially, and has been for many years up until this point. However, just because he keeps setting records doesn’t mean his chances of breaking them get any slimmer. Moreover, the 6 God just set a new record as the highest-grossing touring rap act, according to Billboard, which means that he’s made more money off of tours than any other rapper throughout his career. Other metrics exist for the highest-grossing tours, individual shows, and more, and you can bet that he’s near the top of those lists, too. Yet, with over 3.9 million tickets sold and profits of approximately $473 million, the 37-year-old stands alone in all-time profits.

Furthermore, Drake’s latest milestone has a few interesting facts and curiosities to it. For example, he’s performed 304 shows for his tours, so this doesn’t count one-off performances, guest appearances, and things of that nature. Drizzy’s first tour show was on April 9, 2010 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Philadelphia. That show grossed him and his team $191,000. For comparison, the OVO mogul’s 2019 show at the O2 Arena in London, England earned him and his crew a whopping $13.5 million.

For those curious, Jay-Z is the runner-up in this field, with about $431 million in profits from 402 shows across his career. Other names in this list include Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Eminem, J. Cole, Tyler, The Creator, Nicki Minaj, and more. Interestingly enough, some very popular but relatively smaller artists also made the cut that might surprise you, such as $UICIDEBOY$. There’s also The Black Eyed Peas, which most people don’t view as part of hip-hop as much these days.

Regardless of those technicalities, Aubrey Graham’s accomplishment is impressive. If you take a look at the numbers for his best-selling album, it’s no wonder that he continues this dominance in every commercial field possible. Let us know in the comments whether you think he’s going to fall off now… and get ready for him to beat expectations once again soon. Martha Stewart Covers “Sports Illustrated”: 81-Year-Old Is Magazine’s Oldest Swimsuit Model

In 2022, Elon Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, shocked the world by appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated‘s annual swimsuit issue at 74 years old. If that was too much for you to handle, you’ll be displeased to know that the publication has broken that record again in 2023, this time inviting 81-year-old Martha Stewart to pose as one of their front-page stars. The blonde beauty had only a few months to prepare for the shoot, but according to a post on her Instagram page, she agreed because “Trying new things is very good. Being fearless is very good. [You shouldn’t] be afraid of anything.”

If she was feeling any anxiety, it certainly isn’t evident in the photos of Stewart we’re seeing today. While sporting various bathing suits and fabulous accessories, the cookbook author poses both on land and in the water, having the time of her life while splashing around in the clear blue water. Editor-in-Chief MJ Day had plenty of praise to give the culinary icon, noting, “Never in her life has [Martha] let her circumstances dictate her outcome.”

“She’s changed with the times – always one step ahead, it seems – to build a wide-reaching business empire,” Day further complimented Stewart. Aside from currently hosting three food programs on Roku, the New Jersey native also opened her first restaurant, The Bedford by Martha Stewart, at Paris Las Vegas last year. Her achievements additionally include authoring 99 books and reaching an estimated 100 million fans per month through various media outlets.

Aside from Stewart, a handful of other Hollywood hotties were a part of the prestigious magazine cover too. Among them are Megan Fox, who celebrates her 37th birthday tomorrow (May 16), and transgender German popstar Kim Petras, who recently collaborated with Nicki Minaj on yet another hit single for the Queen of Rap, “Alone.” See photos of all the 2023 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition models here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

Juice WRLD Holds Highest Average Streams Per Song On Spotify

Despite his untimely death, Juice WRLD has continued to achieve significant accomplishments in his music career. Just a few weeks ago, it was revealed that the rapper had surpassed 30 billion streams on Spotify alone. This achievement solidified his status as one of the most streamed artists of all time. One can only imagine how many streams Juice has when you include other platforms such as Apple Music and YouTube. Recently, Juice’s close friend and collaborator, Cole Bennet, celebrated a personal milestone in their careers by sharing on Instagram that the first music video he ever shot for Juice had reached 300 million views on YouTube.

Juice’s death was a huge blow to the music industry and community at large as he seemed to be one of the fastest-rising stars in the industry. Since passing, the rapper’s music has only become more popular. In 2021, the RIAA announced that the rapper had posthumously received 50 new platinum and gold song certifications. His 2018 single “Lucid Dreams” has gone 9x platinum. Today, the rapper broke another record posthumously.

Juice Keeps Breaking Records Years After Passing

Today, it was revealed via the Our Generation Music Instagram account that Juice WRLD had broken a new record. The late rapper now holds the highest average streams per song. On average, each of his songs has received 212 million streams. The record is insane in and of itself, but particularly so for an artist who has passed away. Juice has not been around to promote his music, but he is still getting more streams than most other artists. It just goes to show the impact the rapper had on the scene.

Fans took to the comment section of the post to share their reactions to the news. As expected, there was nothing but love for the rapper. “Juice was really different,” said one user. Others chimed in to agree. “Too easy for mah boy,” another fan said. Many simply expressed their shock at the huge record Juice was able to break years after his death. It would be quite the feat for an artist who was alive and actively promoting. The fact that Juice WRLD can break these records more than three years after he passed is unheard of. What do you think of Juice’s record-breaking streak? Let us know in the comments below!
