DJ Akademiks Tells Playboi Carti Fans To “Stay Tuned” For “Music” LP, But They Don’t Trust It

One example of this is when Dj Akademiks said Playboi Carti would be dropping Music back in January. Well, it is almost the halfway mark in March and we still do not have the record. Fans have been eager to get their hands on the album since the start of 2024, especially after all of the singles Carti dropped. Almost all of them were a major success with his die-hards, even though none were put on streaming.

“Ur The Moon” got things rolling in mid-December, followed by “2024” in rapid succession the next day. “H00BYAIR” would be put out four days later and then we would have to wait about two more weeks for the last two tracks. “BACKR00MS” gave us the first potential feature for the album in Travis Scott. Finally, “EVILJ0RDAN” would be the last we would hear from Playboi Carti, on January 15.

While the sale implies YoungBoy may be confident about his upcoming trial in the federal arms case that resulted in his house arrest, the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana recently filed a motion arguing that the rapper violated his pre-trial release conditions. “The undersigned has learned that the defendant has violated Condition Number (10) and has informed his supervising officer that he has no intentions to discontinue using the substance that resulted in the violation,” they wrote. “The United States respectfully requests that this Court set a hearing to address the violation with the defendant and to determine the appropriate remedial action.”

Sometimes that’s full face ski masks and other times it’s simpler hockey masks. But recently video of Carti spotting an even more elaborate face covering began to make the rounds online.

In a backstage video originally taken last month, the rapper is sporting a full black mask with silver studs. Though the mask may look brand new to many rap fans, metal listeners in the comments knew exactly what it reminded them of. “Bro think he Slipknot” one of the top comments on the post reads, referencing the iconic metal outfit who perform in elaborate masks. The comments even featured more specific references to who the mask reminded fans of. “Lil bro is NOT Chris Fehn” and “Blud thinks he’s Chris Fehn from Slipknot” two other comments read. But Childish Gambino was one of the most surprising, as he debuted an entirely new look. For the event, he showed off a new haircut, substituted his full beard for just a mustache, and donned a red AMIRI suit. That will lead you to some merch bundles and physical album copies for her hyped-up follow-up to RENAISSANCE. Previously known simply as ACT II, that turned out be a placeholder for the new title. The new moniker for this sequel for Beyonce will be COWBOY CARTER. Of course, the R&B superstar gave us a clear-cut look at the direction she was going for with “16 CARRIAGES” and “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” back in early February. Both tracks pay homage to her Southern roots, evoking sounds of bluegrass and country.

Fans were also very pleased with the tracks, and it looks like Beyonce will have another massive record on her hands with COWBOY CARTER. As for the items available for purchase, she has included t-shirts, vinyls, and CDs. There are two shirts and they will come in a box with a red or black CD that will include a bonus track. Unfortunately for vinyl buyers, there will be no additional cuts added, but there are four different colors.
