Meek Mill And Virginia Governor Collab For Probation Reform Bill

Meek Mill’s prison reform efforts continue to pay off. His latest win for prison reform laws occurred on Thursday, June 10th. The “All Eyez On You” rapper linked up with Virginia Governor Ralph Northam for the public signing of HB 2038, a legislative bill that serves the purpose of making improvements to Virginia’s probation system by limiting the amount of time of active incarceration that can result from a probation violation.

At the signing ceremony, Mill commented on Virginia’s latest decision. While speaking to the crowd, the “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper said “Of course I’m not perfect, but being in situations like this will make me become better and speed up the process. I’ll make sure I’ll be able to deliver and close every bridge I can to help fix the system.” Mill also spoke to the crowd about his experiences with the justice system and how he’s in a position that allows him to help make a difference in important matters.

This is just the latest victory for Meek Mill’s quest for prison reform laws. On January 23rd, 2019, Mill, along with friends Jay-Z and Michael Rubin,  co-founded the REFORM Alliance. Through the REFORM Alliance, Mill has been working steadily to help and support matters regarding the justice system and prison reform.

In November of 2018, Mill penned an op-ed about criminal justice reform laws in the New York Times. He’s been a long-time advocate and has been vocal about his own imprisonment that occurred from late 2017 to April of 2018. Last year, the “Going Bad” rapper proceeded to call out his hometown about the “senseless violence” that was happening during the Pandemic.

Young Nudy Announces “Rich Shooter” Album

Young Nudy may present himself as an imposing and downright merciless rapper in the booth, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of generosity. Though he only recently dropped off his new album DR. EV4La standout album in Nudy’s impressive catalog (read our review right here), Nudy is set to continue the onslaught with another project.

Today, he took to Twitter to confirm that the previously-teased Rich Shooter is on the way, sharing the animated album artwork on his page. Like its predecessor, the project once again captures a stylized side of Nudy’s persona; rather than highlighting his horror-inspired penchant for macabre villainy, this one centers around his wealth and John-Wick-esque affinity for firearms. It’s certainly another impressive cover for Nudy, who continues to expand the mythology surrounding his name.

Though we have yet to receive any concrete information about the Rich Shooter release date, Nudy previously teased that it was slated for a June drop. Seeing as we’re nearing the halfway point of the month, it wouldn’t be surprising for Nudy to move this one to July. On the other hand, Nudy has always moved on his own time, balking at the traditional Friday drop date. As such, Rich Shooter could arrive from out the blue, with the rapper’s only clue being a cryptic “Almost Ready” tweet.

Check out the album cover for Rich Shooter below, and look for the album to arrive in the imminent future. Are you looking forward to a new Young Nudy project?

James Harden Declared Worst Dressed NBA Player

NBA players throughout the league have been in an unspoken competition over the last few years to see who can come through with the best outfits. There are some players who always seem to wow fans with their pregame attire while other players are promptly roasted for what they bring to the table. Of course, fashion is a form of personal expression and these players are free to wear whatever they want, even if the fans may have a very strong opinion about it.

Regardless, there was recently an NBA fashion survey conducted by RushOrderTees which took the voices of 28,000 fans into consideration. These fans were asked who they thought was the worst dressed player in the NBA, and by the end of the survey, it was determined that James Harden of the Brooklyn Nets took the top spot.

Other players who were determined to have bad fashion sense were Serge Ibaka, Kyle Kuzma, and Gary Trent Jr. The Ibaka inclusion doesn’t seem like a very fair one when you consider how Ibaka has been known for having solid outfits. Clearly, the fans in the survey have a bit of an anti-Los Angeles bias.

As for Harden, this latest survey shouldn’t come as a surprise especially since Harden has been steadily roasted for his outfits all throughout his career. Regardless, it can’t feel good to have the fans roast you like this.

Russ Rolls The Dice, Hoping To Get ‘Lucky’ In Love

Russ takes a hard right turn on his latest loose single, “Lucky,” moving away from the moody sounds of his prior efforts this year like “Bankrupt,” “Private,” and “Status,” and even departing from more braggadocious fare like “Ugly” and “Small Talk.” Instead, he picks an uptempo, dancey instrumental with a four-on-the-floor beat to sing the praises of his latest paramour. He opens the track crooning about just how lucky he is, before switching to a quick-step rap cadence suggesting all the thrills he has planned for his romantic partner.

Commenting on the track’s YouTube stream, Russ thanked fans for supporting him, even on left-field departures like “Lucky.” “Thank you to all of you forreal!” he wrote. “I just like making whatever I’m feeling at the moment..it’s therapeutic for me so for y’all to get somethin from the music too means a lot.”

The New Jersey rapper-singer’s near-constant stream of new music is one of the reasons he called his career “pandemic-proof” last year as he continued to advocate for artist ownership. Of course, it probably helps that in addition to his music, he’s got multiple other streams of revenue, including his recently launched strain of cannabis, which he called the “best studio weed.”

Michelle appears to be doing well after fans harassed her on social media for posting pictures, in which she appeared to look very different from her usual self. Afterward, she released a video on YouTube responding to the comments.

“Clearly it’s me,” she said in the video. “I’ve been this color forever. I’ve clearly been doing a TV show… I’ve been in the studio every day. I don’t know possibly when I would have had time to get a facelift or—in two days when y’all have seen me already on live.”

“Yeah, I have hair, I have makeup, lighting, people shooting and stuff for me,” she continued. “Y’all are crazy. Do you see this is me? At first, I was just like, ‘Oh, okay. Let me just ignore it or whatever ’cause that’s just how people are.’ But you’re f*cking bullying somebody. What if somebody f*ckin’ had problems? I’m the person trying to help people with plastic surgery. I haven’t did nothing. I haven’t did nothing to my face. Y’all should stop that.”

Malik Beasley Speaks Candidly In Open Letter From Prison

Minnesota Timberwolves star Malik Beasley is currently in the midst of serving a 120-day prison sentence after being charged with felony threats of violence and felony drug possession following an incident that occurred back in 2020. The prison sentence began on June 1st which means Beasley has been in prison for about 11 days now. During this time, he has been doing a ton of reflection about the last year and some of his actions that have transpired.

There is no doubt that Beasley is a solid basketball player, however, his off-the-court exploits ended up taking away from the great season he just had with the Timberwolves. Beasley is well-aware of these mistakes, and recently, he took to social media with a letter about what he’s been through and how he plans to change.

Per Beasley:

“Dear family, friends and fans,

“What’s up guys, just wanted to say a few words. I’m doing better. I’m closer to God, closer to my family, and most importantly finding myself. Not sleeping at home has been tough but it’s only temporary. I’m still working hard everyday on and off the court to be the best version of me. I want people to learn from me, because it’s going to be one helluva story. This last year is just a chapter, and I hope you stayed tuned until the end. 30 for 30 get the crew ready lol.

“I’m reachable if you hit my business partner Christian Dawkins, or if you really want to reach me. Send a letter or book to Wright County J, under my name. I’ll do my best to respond to everyone. I’m not looking for sympathy or anything like that, just to understand I could easily fold and I won’t. For those who care, I love y’all and will return the favor I promise. Just be patient. Sending love & peace to everyone. Have a blessed weekend. <3 – MB5.”

It’s clear that Beasley feels a lot of remorse for what has gone down, and writing these feelings out displays a ton of growth and even courage. Hopefully, he can come back from this experience stronger than ever.

Lil Durk’s Alleged BM Shares Side-By-Side Pictures Of Her Son & Durk

According to the mother of Lil Durk’s alleged seven-year-old son, the rapper has been ignoring his child, failing to support him financially for the last few years. Travonna made the claims during a recent tell-all interview with blogger Tasha K, speaking out against the alleged father of her son. Calling out Durk for always claiming to take care of his family while cutting off his own son, Travonna set out on a mission to prove the rapper’s paternity to his fans, who have been trolling her all day in the comments.

After people rushed to her page to back up Lil Durk, calling Travonna a clout chaser for coming out with these allegations after the rapper’s brother passed away, she took time to clap back against the critics, claiming that she’s already gotten a DNA test to confirm Durk’s paternity, sharing side-by-side photos of them.

“Y’all have time I don’t,” she started on Instagram. “I have a DNA test I have my proof I have my reasons I wish I would entertain you devils have a good day & just so we clear that was a prerecorded interview I had no idea when it was dropping it was ppl that seen it before me but judge away yall me (sic) nothing to me.”

She continued to share long messages on her story before posting a side-by-side of her son and Lil Durk. “LIE FOR WHAT???” she prodded. “Y’all are NOBODY TO PLEASE & HE IS NOBODY TO PROTECT UP AGAINST MY CHILDS INNOCENTS SO AGAIN HAVE A GOOD DAY WE GOT DNA.”

Travonna also posted a screenshot of Lil Durk on FaceTime with her son, who was a newborn at the time.
