Yung Joc Claims Donald Trump Lyric Ruined His Kamala Harris Rally Plans

Yung Joc is an Atlanta legend. The rapper was featured on some of the biggest hip hop hits of the 2000s, and he was reportedly tapped to perform in support of Kamala Harris a few months back. Harris called upon numerous artists to perform/speak at her campaign rallies in the lead up to the election. Joc was evidently one of them. The rapper revealed this tidbit during a recent appearance on the radio show Way Up with Angela Yee. He also explained the very specific, and very unfortunate, reason that he was not allowed to perform.

“I get a call to perform at a rally, for Kamala,” Yung Joc stated. “Went to the DNC, I did all these different things. I was like ‘hell yeah.’” After some time had passed, however, the rapper was told that his services would no longer be required. “They’re like ‘I’m sorry, that’s been shut down, sir.’” Yung Joc asked why he had been removed from the list of performers. He was subsequently told the Kamala Harris campaign did not approve of a particular lyric in his biggest hit, “It’s Goin’ Down.” “‘The record that you were going to perform,’” he recalls being told. “‘It quotes: boys in the hood call me Black Donald Trump.’”

Yung Joc Regrets His Lyrical Reference In Retrospect

Yung Joc recalls being taken aback by the news, but ultimately understanding the cancelation. “Why did I say that in the record,” he rhetorically asked the radio hosts. “It was a different time, it was propaganda for me then.” The hosts came to Joc’s defense, and noted that dozens of rappers compared themselves to Donald Trump over the decades. This is not the first time that Yung Joc has expressed regret over the “Black Donald Trump” lyric. The rapper talked about his particular choice of words during an interview on B High Atl.

He told the panel that he no longer says the lyric with pride when he performs “It’s Goin’ Down” live. He joins a long list of rappers who have denounced the future President after equating his name with wealth and status. One of the most notable, of course, was Mac Miller. “Donald Trump” was the name of one of Miller’s earliest hits, yet he spent the rest of his career castigating Trump. He described the President as “hateful” during an appearance on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore in 2016.

Yung Joc Apologizes To Megan Thee Stallion After Publicly Doubting Her

Megan Thee Stallion was put through the ringer during her legal battle against Tory Lanez. Many believed that she was making false accusations against the R&B singer. These same people went after her publicly, and predicted that Lanez would prevail. Obviously, that did not happen. Lanez was found guilty and sentenced to ten years in prison for shooting Megan in the foot. Megan Thee Stallion was vindicated, and several people have come forward to issue an apology. Yung Joc is the latest.

Yung Joc went on Streetz Morning Takeover to make his apology official. He told the hosts that he was wrong for doubting Megan Thee Stallion. “I apologize for not supporting you in your moment and believing in the whole situation with you and Tory Lanez,” he stated. “I still have questions, ’cause I’m human.” The rapper also made reference to the bet. In short, he promised to shave his head if Lanez went to prison. “I think that the moment when I made the bet,” he recalled. “Although we did it in a fun kinda way–maybe, just maybe, I was out of line for doing that.”

Yung Joc didn’t stop there. The “Buy U A Drank” rapper followed through on the bet, and shaved his head in light of the guilty verdict. “I lost the bet,” he told the Morning Takeover hosts. “And somewhere in there, we may have been a little buffoonish. ‘Cause I really made a bet that this man was gon’ get off, and he didn’t. And I lost my hair. I’m sorry, Meg.” Yung Joc revealed that he was inspired to make an apology after Shannon Sharpe did the same on his podcast, Club Shay Shay.

Like Yung Joc, Sharpe expressed doubt over Lanez’s guilt. He tried to correct his mistake, however, by having Megan Thee Stallion on his podcast on July 2. He cleared the air right in front of her. “I believe the joke wouldn’t been just as funny if I would’ve left you out of it,” Sharpe explained. “So for any unwanted attention, harm, shame, embarrassment that I caused you or your family. I wanna say as a man, as I sit here before you, I apologize.”

Yung Joc Tears Down Diddy’s Son’s Diss Track At 50 Cent: “His Delivery Was Kind Of Lackluster”

Yung Joc is one of many rappers who has been around Diddy. Several months ago, an interview resurfaced of the artist speaking about an odd situation he allegedly witnessed when out with Diddy and his previous partner, Cassie. After seeing another woman with a half-shaved head, the mogul asked her to do the same. Joc was all sorts of confused as to why she would comply, but she said. “Whatever Sean wants I’m gonna do”. So, Yung Joc also commenting on King Combs’ (Diddy’s son) diss track at 50 Cent is not surprising in the slightest.

Similar to the story he retold above, the MC spoke with Vlad TV about “Pick a Side”. King’s clap back at Fif dropped just a couple of weeks ago and it was a response to all of the trolling his father received from his staunchest hater. On the track, King rapped, “When all they had was 50 Cent who put the city on the map?/ Stop lying, pops been hated on by many men and n****, that’s fine/ They gon’ try to stop these Eminems and they gon’ die tryin“. However, 50 reacted almost immediately – as usual – and was not fazed one bit.

Yung Joc Respects Diddy’s Son For Putting Out The Diss Track

That was a point that Yung Joc brought up in his conversation with the outlet. He used that to bolster his argument that the song was not nearly aggressive or profound enough. Joc felt that the track also suffered from lack of lyrical substance and that his delivery was “kind of lackluster” also. Shawn Prez, who conducted the interview, posed a question to Joc, essentially asking him if it was wise for Diddy to allow King Combs to release it and be in the middle of the beef. However, the interviewee astutely pointed out that Diddy’s son is already in the line of fire because of all of the serious allegations. Joc did credit Combs for defending his dad, but ultimately, he feels the results were futile.

What are your thoughts on the comments left by Yung Joc on Diddy’s son’s diss track at 50 Cent? Do you agree with what he had to say, why or why not? Have you heard the diss record? Do you think it was a smart decision for Christian to do this? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Yung Joc Joins Fitness Training Class In Ohio For Surprise Performance

These days, Atlanta stars like Yung Joc are either elders in the game, weighing in on the culture and getting new songs named after them, or they’re still holding onto their status. But have you ever seen one perform for a pilates class? Well, that’s not exactly what the Georgia native recently did at an Ohio gym, but he did perform for a crowd taking a fitness training class, and they were all surprised and amped up. Just imagine not having the strength to make it through another leg day, but then the speakers announce the arrival of Joc, and his energy gets you going through another rep.

Furthermore, it was a pretty cool thing to witness, and we wonder if other companies or fitness joints will do more stuff like this. Perhaps a whole cardio and endurance class from Pusha T, or a weightlifting session hosted by JELEEL? Jokes aside, many folks wondered how much Yung Joc made off this, and whether he even did it for the money or for the fun of it. Considering his often wild takes on social media and how he is just as prone to have fun online as he is to get serious, we imagine it was a little bit of both. The important thing is that the “I Know U See It” hitmaker put a lot of energy into the performance itself.

Yung Joc Performs For Ohio Fitness Training Class: Watch

Elsewhere, though, he made headlines as more of a spectator at the end of last year. For example, when the Diddy and Cassie scandal first broke into the media, folks revisited an old Yung Joc interview where he claimed that Sean Combs wanted her to shave her head. It certainly isn’t the only unconfirmed narrative going around concerning this pair, and definitely won’t be the last. Still, a lot of that quieted down in public consciousness as of late, although other lawsuits and accusations remain.

Meanwhile, the 43-year-old also enjoys giving advice to the younger generation whenever he can. He recently had some suggestions for Sexyy Red as she continues to develop her stardom, particularly around her “h*e spirit.” Whatever that means, we’re sure it won’t be the last word on the St. Louis native’s ascent. Regardless, for more news and the latest updates on Yung Joc, stick around on HNHH.

While giving all year round is always a vibe, the holidays open our hearts a bit more as we pull out the decorations and set up the fireplaces to spend time with family, friends and more. Atlanta is giving back for the holidays to those who are less fortunate.

Over the weekend, Saturday Streetz 94.5, Yung Joc + The Streetz Morning Takeover and friends partnered with Walmart, Dwight Howard + Mu Real to give out over 300 + Turkeys to the community on Old National Hwy.

Community members lined up in front of the Walmart and picked up their turkeys, while enjoying good music and fun. Yung Joc, Mz. Shyneka + Shawty Shawty hosted on the Mic, while taking photos and giving each person a Turkey in hand. Atlanta Slingshot Community + Torrey 100 came through in their most decorated low riders and lit up the parking lot. The Gorilla Game Bus kept people interactive with a few games to choose from while they waited and it was all smiles.

On Sunday, event planner + operations extraordinaire, Sheriè P, hosted a Men’s Appreciation day, inspired by her client Yung Joc and the men who are doing amazing things for others all throughout the year. The event was held at Hammer and Nails Grooming salon in Midtown Atlanta. Hosted by Yung Joc, some notable guests included Dwight Howard, producer Chino Dollar, Hot Boy Turk, Mykko Montana, and Councilman Dr. Mark Baker.

The men indulged in Selfcare packages that included massages provided by Miso Natural Wellness Spa, culinary treats made by Chef Camille of Eat Your Greens catering and Chef Lou’s Greatest of the Plates. They also were given full hand scrubs and massages with their manicures to spoil them the right way.

Thanksgiving sets off the fourth quarter holiday experience and it seems these notables are off to a great start mixing the spirit of giving and self-care all in one.

[WATCH] Yung Joc Warns Sexxy Red To Check Those ‘Hoe Spirits’

ojoc

Yung Joc gave his two cents on new rap star Sexyy Red during an interview with VladTV. The Atlanta rapper warned the St. Louis native about the potential pitfalls that come with sudden fame and ‘hoe spirits’.

“She’s not trying to pretend to be something she’s not,” Joc stated. “I think she’s comfortable in her truth. I think she has to be careful with being exploited… I’m seeing the way she presents herself, and it’s not that she doesn’t know better. It’s what she’s comfortable with doing. I’m not knocking Sexyy Red.”

Joc continued, “I don’t want nobody to think I’m knocking her. I just think she should be a little more sensible when it comes to the censorship because these babies be listening to this s**t. You know what I’m saying? Gotta check those h** spirits.”

He also shared that Red is part of a new generation of female artists who are pushing the envelope in ways that might not be entirely beneficial.

“Now, these women are letting it be known: ‘I’ll do you and your brother, that’s my lick back,’” Joc added. “There are a lot of women doing that, too, but Sexyy Red has a different approach. She has a downright ‘I’m in the hood, I’m out the hood’ approach. ‘I’m promoting classic ratchet h** activity.’ And that’s just what it is.”

Thoughts?

Soulja Boy & Yung Joc’s Dances Compared By Travis Kelce Fan In Hilarious Viral Clip

Some dances come and go, others barely even arrive to begin with, but a select few live on for years to come. What’s more is that, with so many trends and styles to keep in mind, a lot of debate can emerge in terms of what people are really dancing. Unbeknownst to him, NFL star (and Swiftie darling) Travis Kelce sparked exactly that conversation when he celebrated after a recent touchdown. By twisting his fists in the air, many people thought that he was “crankin’ dat” Soulja Boy. However, others thought that it was instead an homage to Yung Joc’s “It’s Goin’ Down,” including one viral fan.

Moreover, the die-hard dance expert captured the hearts and laughter of many online users when he debated this with (assumedly) his partner. By demonstrating both dances, the viral fan explained why Travis Kelce was clearly doing the Yung Joc dance, not Soulja Boy’s. “It’s Yung Joc, Breanna” is already a hot and common phrase on Twitter, and people are loving the energy and passion on display. Regardless of what the Kansas City Chief meant to tribute, it’s wild that fans can have such differing interpretations.

Viral Debate Surges Around What Travis Kelce Was Dancing

Hilariously enough, this is just the latest online fixation that people created around Travis Kelce. Even Donald Trump had to weigh in on his budding romance with Taylor Swift, remarking on it to The Daily Caller. “I wish the best for both of them,” the disgraced former president expressed. “I hope they enjoy their life, maybe together, maybe not- most likely not.” In fact, 45 has an odd and slightly surprising relationship with the superstar, which isn’t that shocking considering that she’s probably more famous than him.

“Let’s just say I like Taylor’s music about 25% less now, OK?” he said in 2018 after she blasted him. It’s weird to hear the former U.S. leader even speak on this, but thank any god you believe in that he hasn’t heard about this dance debate. Leave that to the fans, who will keep it going down and cranked for years to come. For more news and the latest updates on Soulja Boy, Travis Kelce, and Yung Joc, stay logged into HNHH. Also, let us know what dance you think Kelce hit down in the comments.
