Young Thug And Gunna Are No Longer Friends, According To A Now-Deleted Post From Young Thug

In the words of Drake, Young Thug is now a member of the tweet-and-delete crew. Today (November 9), the “Yeah Yeah” rapper took to his official page with a shocking announcement.

Following Young Thug’s recent release from custody, fans held out hope for a collaboration between him and Gunna. However, Young Thug seemingly shut down that wish on X (formerly Twitter), writing (viewable here): “Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don’t know u my guy.”

This upload blindsided supporters following reports that Young Thug requested a probation exemption to allow him to remain in contact with Gunna after his release.

Users online believe Young Thug’s remarks were in response to Gunna reposting a promotional post teasing new music from Thug in his Instagram stories (viewable here).

Shortly after Thug’s removed statement Akademiks took to his X page to double down on past speculations that there was tension among the two.

“[I] still predict Young Thug to say he was hacked in a few,” he wrote. “But, how many times he gonna tell y’all he don’t f*ck wit Gunna before y’all believe it.”

In the past Thug’s father, Big Jeff, spoke out in support of Gunna, attended Gunna’s The Bittersweet Tour, and slammed “snitch” claims pointed at Gunna.

Now, Young Thug fans are side eyeing Big Jeff and all others who have recently come out to support Gunna.

Young Thug’s Father Blasts Fake Love From Other Rappers After Son’s Release From Prison

Jeffery Williams Sr., the father of Young Thug, has a lot to say about his son’s recent release from jail following two years of incarceration over the YSL RICO case. Readers may remember that he previoulsy blasted one of the probation conditions that Thugger received, namely his ban from the metro Atlanta area without proper permission. However, Williams Sr. also has issues with how the hip-hop world responded to the Atlanta rapper’s freedom. During a recent podcast appearance, he called out rappers who tried to link with Thug after his prison release but didn’t do what they could’ve done in his eyes while he was actually in prison.

“We got all these rappers and everybody trying to find Young Thug,” Jeffery Williams Sr. expressed. “They want to talk to Young Thug, they want to this, that, and the other. Where your a** been for 29 months? Why y’all a** ain’t been out there protesting for his constitutional rights being violated? Y’all are the ones considered to be the influencers. Ain’t influencing s**t. Where y’all been? Y’all been quiet for 29 months. But now everybody want to be seen. Everybody want to try to get a chance to talk to him, this, that, and the third. For what? Let’s make it make sense.”

Young Thug’s Father Speaks Out

In addition, Young Thug’s father posited that people are clout-chasing with their current support of him when they could’ve been much clearer in their efforts from the jump. He also brought up the other people involved in the YSL RICO case and how they needed support as well, specifically mentioning Atlanta artists. Jeffery Williams Sr. also suggested that his son would do this for these peers, but that they aren’t returning the favor.

Finally, Jeffery Williams Sr. specifically called out T.I. for allegedly not manifesting an event in support of Young Thug that Williams Sr. asked for. As such, he expressed surprise at how Tip and Thug linked up shortly after his release from prison. Overall, this was a plea to keep things real and genuine. But since the Slime Season 3 artist hasn’t spoken out about this, it’s hard to make a true judgement call.

DJ Akademiks Alleges Drake Gave Young Thug $1 Million After Prison Release

Young Thug is now a free man, something that the hip-hop world celebrated broadly and in spades for the last week or so. Many people have their questions as to when he will pop out publicly or with new music, but we must recognize the importance of privacy and allow him to process all this at his own pace. Fortunately, it seems like the Atlanta rapper has a very strong support network thanks to his friends in both his personal life and in the music industry. For example, DJ Akademiks recently claimed via his livestream that Drake flew out to see Thugger and even gave him a big stack of cash to celebrate.

“Y’all want to hear this play I heard?” DJ Akademiks alleged concerning Young Thug and the OVO mogul. “Watch, he gon’ hit me up, like, ‘Yo, how you heard?’ ‘Cause he ain’t tell me. That’s my mans. When Thug gets let out of jail, the talk is this. They say two hours afterwards, Drake flew to Thug and allegedly gave him a mil’. Drake didn’t tell me this. Drake gon’ hit me up and be, like, ‘Who told you this?’

DJ Akademiks Speaks On Young Thug & Drake

“Which, by the way, super strategic move,” DJ Akademiks continued. “Super strategic. Thug was in jail talking about, ‘Let’s squash all this beef.’ If I’m Drake, I need Atlanta. ‘Okay, so I got one n***a in Atlanta.’ Supposedly, Drake flew to wherever Thug was at, gave that n***a a mil’. Y’all can’t turn Atlanta against no big Drizzy, get the f**k out of here. Only the industry and insiders would know what that is. Which, I think that’s dope. And if y’all do hear Thug rap about it later, or Drake rap about it later, just remember I told y’all first, okay? That’s all.

“So, a little moving parts right here,” DJ Akademiks concluded. “Ain’t that dope? I don’t know if it was Atlanta, but flew to wherever. That’s dope. You know why that’s smart? Thug shows support for Drake when people are thinking s**t was going wherever.” We’ll see whether these MCs ever address this and what happens with Young Thug and the 6ix God.

Young Thug’s Sister Wards Off Clout Chasers And Speaks On Thug’s Trauma Behind Bars

Young Thug chose to lay relatively low after his release from prison due to his non-negotiated plea deal in the YSL RICO case after over 900 days of incarceration. While this is completely understandable and reasonable for someone who endured what he endured, some fans are sadly more concerned with his next public outing and on capitalizing on the interest around this situation. In fact, Thugger’s sister Dora Williams took to Twitter on Thursday (November 7) to call this behavior out a week after his release. She called for more sympathy, patience, understanding, and love rather than people wanting to get something out of his freedom.

“I really wish everyone value the fact that my brother is human & actually went thru a lot of trauma,” Dora Williams expressed about her brother Young Thug. “As did his family. If he’s asking for you to come around him it’s to just chill not gain clout. You all will have that opportunity when he’s ready. Rn, shower him with love pls.” Thug was rumored to pop out for a Colorado University football game, but it seems like this didn’t pan out.

But Young Thug has made it clear that he’s around and reconnecting with his world, even if it’s in ways that still protect his privacy and personal process. For example, he joined his lawyer Brian Steel via FaceTime to briefly speak to Emory University law students, and also linked up with T.I. to mark his first official post-prison appearance. The Atlanta rapper must be juggling a whole lot of wishes, obligations, opportunities, and to-do-list items right now, and we’re happy to wait as long as we have to if he wants to make a comeback.

What’s more is that multiple collaborators such as Metro Boomin and Lil Baby have hinted at new music with him coming soon. Young Thug himself teased a Wham collab, but we don’t really have any more information when it comes to a timeline or anything like that. What we do know is that empathy and support are far more important than “clout,” whatever that means in this context. So let’s let him process the past two-and-a-half years with grace and understanding.

Young Thug Reunites With T.I. In A New Video After His Release From Jail

Young Thug’s redemption tour has begun. Although it’s unlikely that the Atlanta trap rap vet has had a chance to hit the studio as yet after leaving jail, he’s clearly looking to reestablish his connections, beginning with one of the men who first put him on in rap: T.I. The “About The Money” collaborators reunited in a video that T.I. posted to his Instagram account in which they can be seen grinning while T.I.’s son Domani hovers in the background. “Hey man, what you got to tell these people,” T.I. asks. Thug replies, simply, “Back. Back, Jack.”

It’s fitting that T.I. was the first rapper Thug reconnected with fresh out of jail, as it was Thug’s appearance on Tip’s 2014 single “About The Money” that helped raise his profile and ensured his record deal with 300 Entertainment. Not for nothing, he’s also one of the few trap rap figures Thugger legally can spend any time around due to the conditions of his probation agreement, which bars him from contact with his former racketeering co-defendants in YSL (except for Gunna and his brother Unfoonk). He’s also no longer on the greatest terms with Cash Money’s Birdman, with whom he formed Rich Gang alongside Rich Homie Quan (RIP), and it’s unclear where he stands with Gucci Mane, the first person to give him a shot with a deal with 1017.

T.I. and Thug have certainly collaborated as much as anyone else in Thugger’s circle; in 2016, they dropped “Bobby Womack,” in 2018, they teamed up for “The Weekend,” and in 2020 on “Ring.” If this means they’ll have another new collaboration to look forward to, Thug’s comeback is already off to a great start.

YSL Woody Says He Has “No Fear” Now That Young Thug Is Free

It’s probably safe to assume that YSL Woody and Young Thug are not on the best of terms. Sure, the latter is officially free as of Halloween, but you could argue that the former’s actions were not as helpful as they could have been. Nonetheless, Thugger is back and his fans, loved ones, and contemporaries alike are extremely happy about it. But it will be interesting to monitor how these two especially decide to go about their relationship. Woody has been constantly in the headlines (almost as much as the rapper) for his court appearances and interviews.

While many were just wanting him to keep his mouth shut, others were wildly entertained by his antics. So, it was no surprise that so many were eager to hear his thoughts on Thug’s freedom. But Woody didn’t say anything flashy. He’s simply thankful that the trial is over. Given his prior willingness to speak constantly about the subject, though, he was recently on The Danza Project to discuss his thoughts further. Woody was asked if he was genuinely thrilled for Thug to be out, and he responded very similarly.

However, what he says after that may raise some eyebrows. “I don’t have no fear. They not a threat to me, and I’m not a threat to them.” That could be him alluding to how sorry he is for his actions and that him and Thug may have made peace behind closed doors. Nonetheless, Woody continues, ” I don’t wanna see nobody in jail. Like I said… I went through a dark phase in my life where I let the demons get the best of me. People say ‘oh he a killer.’ Now, when them demons get to you they can say whatever they want. I know y’all ain’t been in my position. I ain’t got no point to prove to y’all.” Here, he could be referring to all of the hate and the accusations that were thrown his way during the debacle.

However, he ends things by reiterating that he loves that Thug is home, wants to see him happy, and that Woody doesn’t want to be a burden for anyone. Lastly, he was asked whether or not he could see the two of them in the same room together to which he replied, “I don’t wanna speak on that.” Overall, it sounds like things are better, but they still have a ways to go. What are your thoughts on YSL Woody’s comments on Young Thug’s freedom? Do you think they will ever be able to talk again? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Young Thug and YSL Woody. Mariah The Scientist Causes Controversy By Skipping Out On Tour Date After Young Thug’s Release

Mariah The Scientist faced a pretty difficult roadblock recently that we certainly don’t envy: love or duty? If you’re reading this from under a rock, you might not know that her boo Young Thug recently left prison after taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO case. The singer shared her heartfelt gratitude for this and for fans’ support during a recent tour stop, as she joined KARRAHBOOO as a supporting act for Latto’s Sugar Honey Iced Tea trek. But it seems like she chose love. Moreover, fans took to social media to debate after a clip emerged from a Cincinnati show on Friday (November 1) after Mariah canceled her appearance at it.

“Hey Cincinnati! Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mariah The Scientist will no longer be joining us for @Latto’s show at The Andrew J Brady Music Center® tonight,” the venue tweeted. “Don’t worry, Latto and Karrahbooo will still be there to bring you an unforgettable night…” Rather than showing up to perform, she called in via FaceTime, which was displayed on screen as fans sang her track “Spread Thin” to her.

Furthermore, it’s unclear if Mariah The Scientist will return to the tour soon (which ends on December 7) or if this is a permanent decision. Some fans completely understand why she would want to presumably take time off to be with Young Thug, whereas others pointed to her responsibility to respect ticket holders and fulfill her commitment. It’s definitely one of those situations that’s hard to make a judgement call on unless you face it yourself. After all, Thugger was in jail for a long time, so he waited as long as Mariah has. Despite their hardships, they look forward to spending this time together.

“There was people who was telling me I would never see him again,” Mariah The Scientist expressed during a recent tour stop. “There was people who was laughing at me and laughing at our situation and making fun of us. Man, this s**t so f***ing crazy, man. This was supposed to be a prayer, hold on. Thank you, God, and Amen. Now back to me. All you motherf***ers who doubted me, and doubted this s**t, and said this n***a was never coming back, f**k all of y’all. What you gon’ say now, b***h?”

Lil Baby Previews New Music After Young Thug Teased Comeback Collab

Lil Baby is working on a new album, and though it’s been a long time coming, fans recently got a couple of reasons to re-energize their excitement. For example, he previewed new music during a performance at the Don’t Fall In Love festival in San Bernardino, California on Saturday (November 2). The “Options” rapper’s new track will apparently appear on his next project, and it’s a slow trap banger with a fast flow switch-up and shimmering chimes. It’s not the most unique sound in the world, but it’s great to hear him in this mode. Of course, fans will wait until the new album to make a judgement call, but regardless of whether you’re liking it or not, there’s another new music hint that will demand your attention.

Following his release from jail, Young Thug tweeted the following at Lil Baby on Sunday morning (November 3): “Wham let’s drop one on these rats peter.” Baby responded with a heartfelt message. “I missed you mf !!” he shared via an Instagram Story post. “Welcome home my brudda! Thank god you able to get back to the fam in good health and spirits! Wish ya none but billions jack! #whateverwhamsaygoes.”

Lil Baby Performs New Song

As such, it seems like Young Thug and Lil Baby will team up for a collab soon, and fans can’t wait to hear the former back in the booth after such a long time without truly new music. Sure, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS last year was great, but that was more of a vault collection and not wholly new material. Also, fans are particularly interested due to a viral theory that Thugger shaded Gunna with this tweet. Baby’s been allegedly throwing shots at the YSL MC for allegedly “snitching” with his plea deal almost two years ago, and he’s allegedly responded in kind. But considering that Thug requested to maintain his working relationship with Wunna while negotiating his probation conditions, these mixed signals are in dire need of clarification.

With that in mind, take all that discussion with a grain of salt. As for Lil Baby, this proved to be a hectic year for him, whether for a lawsuit from a music video shooting or his Vegas arrest earlier this year. Hopefully this new music, in any capacity, gets him right back on track.

Lil Baby Responds To Young Thug With Heartfelt Message Amid Possible Gunna Shade

Young Thug got out of jail this week following his plea deal in the YSL RICO case, something which has provoked a whole lot of conversations in the hip-hop world and beyond. Today (Sunday, November 3), Thugger himself stirred up the pot a little with a pretty interesting tweet that both excited and confused fans. “Wham let’s drop one on these rats peter,” he posted, referring to his colleague Lil Baby and a possible collab on the way. Fans have their theories as to what this message means, particularly the references to “rats” and whoever “Peter” is. Before getting into that too deeply, Baby himself responded to this and to the Atlanta MC’s freedom via an Instagram Story post on Sunday.

“I missed you mf !!” Lil Baby penned to Young Thug on social media. “Welcome home my brudda! Thank god you able to get back to the fam in good health and spirits! Wish ya none but billions jack! #whateverwhamsaygoes.” As for why this message is causing a lot of puzzled debate on social media, it has to do with another frequent collaborator of theirs.

Lil Baby Responds To Young Thug

Moreover, fans think that Young Thug might have been throwing shade at Gunna with this tweet at Lil Baby, since he also took a plea deal in the YSL RICO case almost two years ago. Many assumed that he was a snitch, including the It’s Only Me rapper himself thanks to what fans perceived as multiple alleged lyrical shots. In fact, some fans think that the One Of Wun artist responded to these bars as well through subliminals of his own. But fans’ real confusion stems from one of the conditions that the judge granted Thug while determining the guidelines for his 15 years of probation.

Via his lawyer Brian Steel, Young Thug asked to be able to continue to collaborate with Gunna as label mates, even though another condition was that he couldn’t associate with YSL affiliates. The judge approved this, and this mixed signal is what has fans asking questions. Still, since he also asked Drake, Future, and Metro Boomin to squash their beef, maybe he’s orchestrating a hatchet burial of his own. Only time will tell…

Young Thug Fans Think He Shaded Gunna With His Recent Tweets Post-Prison Release

Young Thug recently broke his silence after his release from prison via a series of very interesting tweets. “Real plea deal jack!” he posted, referencing the plea deal he took in the YSL RICO case that resulted in 15 years on probation. “Wham let’s drop one on these rats peter,” Thugger added on Sunday (November 3), seemingly teasing a collab with “Wham,” better known as Lil Baby. With these two brief but highly consequential messages, many fans out there think that he sent shade Gunna’s way. The Drip Harder duo seemingly sent shots each other’s way over the past two years or so over allegations that Wunna “snitched” by taking a plea deal almost two years ago. He’s denied those accusations and continued to advocate for his mentor’s freedom.

However, this beef speculation doesn’t make a lot of sense for some fans, since Young Thug – via his lawyer Brian Steel – asked in court to keep collaborating with Gunna during his plea motion, even though the conditions of his probation bar any contact with YSL affiliates. For the record, the judge approved this. “He’s a phenomenal artist,” Steel stated of the One Of Wun MC. “[They[ are contractually obligated. And they frequently perform music together.”

Young Thug Tweets Cause Gunna Diss Speculation

As for fans’ theories, some think that Young Thug’s reference to a “real plea deal” takes shots at Gunna’s own plea deal. Elsewhere, the mention of “rats” and “peter” could also reference him, as fans thought the same of his “pushin’ Peter” lyric on the 2023 album BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, on which the track “Parade On Cleveland” with Drake features a jail call seemingly with Thug and Drake. Various other YSL sources gave other conflicting remarks on this, though. For example, Jeffery’s father has defended the “fukumean” artist on various occasions.

Fans React

Regardless, fans look forward to new music addressing all of this, theorizing how Young Thug could return to the mic considering his probation conditions. Maybe this is all just a reach and there actually aren’t any issues with Gunna, or the call to continue collaborating was a false flag. With so many possible interpretations, we have to wait for more solid confirmation. Check out fans’ reactions to these tweets down below.
