Blueface Surprises Son With Stacks Of Cash: Watch

Blueface has been in the news a lot recently. He just dropped a new track, “Hello“, which is a throwback to his OG offbeat origins. He weighed in on whether or not Chrisean Rock’s baby is his. Before that, he scored a TKO in a boxing match against TikTok star Ed Matthews.

Now, as a successful rapper, Blueface isn’t a stranger to wads of cash. In fact, he even garnered some backlash when he drove around LA’s Skid Row tossing cash out of his car. But his young son isn’t quite used to being minted yet. Well, the boy got his first real taste in a birthday surprise from his dad.

Blueface’s Son Gets Stacks On Stacks

Blueface posted a video of him celebrating his son’s birthday. After wishing his son a happy birthday, the rapper begins to pile bands of cash into his son’s lap. “These are all mine? Oh thanks!” is the start of his son’s adorable reaction to having a mound of cash dumped on him. Blueface continues to add more bands to the pile as he son looks on in awe. “This is a lot! Oh shoot!” the child exclaims as he struggles to keep hold of all the money.

The child continues to melt hearts as he holds up one of the bands, “this is all of it, mine? Oh shoot!” he exclaims. And then he drops the best line of the entire video. “So I have all that…do I have presents at home?” Kid’s just had a couple grand dropped in his lap but all he wants to know is if there’s presents waiting for him at home. Absolutely priceless. The kid really doesn’t know what to do with himself as he gets shy when asked what he’s going to spend the money on. “I don’t know…shoot…” he says bashfully, adding “I didn’t know that was going to happen, shoot…” as his dad suggests “big booty sitches”. It’s likely the most adorable thing you will watch all day and will absolutely melt your heart. Be sure to check HotNewHipHop for all the latest viral videos and hip hop news.

Who Created Trap Soul? Twitter Debates Drake, Bryson Tiller, Or Kirko Bangz

The latest Twitter debate in the rap and R&B world is in: who created trap soul? Moreover, three answers seemed to dominate discussion, those being Drake, Bryson Tiller, and of course Kirko Bangz. In fact, a repost of the latter’s 2011 hit “Drank in My Cup,” claiming that it “invented” trap soul, is what started this whole discussion in the first place. While many pointed to Bangz as an originator, some championed Drizzy for innovating in the style with So Far Gone and only making it more defined as his career went on. Still, a lot of people could easily claim the title, too. After all, Tiller did name his breakout album after the sub-genre, which if you’ve never heard of before, is pretty self-explanatory.

Despite those popular picks, many other names came up in conversation. One was, surprisingly, Tory Lanez, which is valid even if he’s more known for his legal troubles than his music nowadays. Another obvious contender for the crown is Future, who might just be one of the most influential artists across all genres. Since OVO was already on people’s minds, many pointed to PARTYNEXTDOOR as an important figure in the movement, as well.

The Tweet That Sparked Discussion

Regardless of your take on its originator, it’s clear that all of these artists either owe their sound to the movement or helped innovate it for even wider influence. Also, it creates an interesting debate on what elements of a career truly mark someone “creating” a genre. Kirko Bangz might have been the first to do it, from what many believe. Drake’s been probably the most popular to do so, but he’s played with so many other genres and influences, too. Is sticking to that sound and that sound only what makes you an innovator, or is it owed to pushing it to its highest commercial peaks?

With all these perspectives in mind, Twitter came through with some interesting takes on the matter. Since these artists all crafted significant careers in the 2010s that inspired millions, there’s no true wrong answer. That being said, check out some of those takes below and chime in with your own analysis in the comments. As always, log back into HNHH for the latest great music from these artists and the trap soul genre.

Ray J Loses Out To Cheesesteaks In Street Interview

The cheesesteak is a Philadelphia staple. Perfectly cooked beefsteak, melted cheese, fried onions, and peppers if you’re feeling controversial. All served on a soft hoagie roll. There are few culinary experiences better than a high-quality cheesesteak. Furthermore, they can be found across Philadelphia (and beyond, but is it really a cheesesteak if it’s not from Philly?). Also, pro tip when traveling to Philadelphia – avoid the “name-brand” cheesesteak shops and find the ones the locals actually eat at.

Ray J, on the other hand, is more of an acquired taste. The rapper, made most famous by his early 2000s sex tape with Kim Kardashian, is not the first person who comes to mind when you discuss “snaccs”. Maybe that’s a harsh thing to say but we’re just reporting the facts here. After all, this sentiment has been made all the more evident in a new street interview from 856 Entertainment. And yes, there is a reason why we were talking about cheesesteaks to begin with.

The People Want Cheesesteaks, Not Ray J

856 Entertainment took to the streets to discover the answer to one very similar question. Would people rather have a cheesesteak, or dinner with Ray J? On the one hand you have a free cheesesteak, made however you want. On the other, you have the 42-year-old rapper and founder of Raycon. We know which we would pick, and so did the people that spoke with 856.

The people overwhelmingly chose the Philly specialty. Some people barely heard the question before enthusiastically saying the cheesesteak. Additionally, a number of the interviewees gave a very simple reason why – “who the fuck is Ray J?” It was a landslide for the sandwich. But to add insult to injury, the interviewees weren’t done roasting the rapper. In the last clip shown, the interviewee was asked. “Because he’s ugly” was the woman’s simple reply. It seems that vox populi prevails again and the cheesesteak is the overwhelmingly preferred option. But what about you, dear reader? Free cheesesteak or dinner with Ray J? AI Biggie Covers Nas’ “N.Y. State of Mind,” Twitter Is Divided

Some of our favourite artists have already dropped off noteworthy new music in 2023. Unfortunately, their releases as of late are chiefly being overshadowed by the songs coming out via artificial intelligence. From hearing Kanye West take on Hit-Boy’s “2 Certified” thanks to technology to heavy hitters like Drake and Michael Jackson covering Ice Spice’s “Munch (Feelin’ U),” the entertainment has been endless, albeit damaging to the music industry. Earlier this week, a video of the late Biggie Smalls rapping Nas’ “N.Y. State of Mind” began circulating online, sparking plenty of debate amongst the hip-hop community,

The 1994 cut previously arrived on the New Yorker’s Illmatic album and remains one of the most popular in his discography to this day. Of course, The Notorious B.I.G. lost his life just three years after this, and though he and Nas had plans to collaborate (the latter previously revealed on The Breakfast Club that he “got too high” in the studio for anything to come to fruition), it ultimately never came to be. This is the closest we’ll probably ever to see to a joint effort, and while some users are loving Biggie’s flow on his friend’s song, others are frustrated with AI’s presence in the industry at the moment.

Biggie’s Unofficial “N.Y. State of Mind” Cover

“This made me realize Nas has the greatest flow of any rapper ever,” one Twitter user said, markedly praising the 49-year-old. Another, less pleased listener chimed in, “The gap between Biggie’s flow and Nas’ flow is f*cking me up right now. This sounds so much worse than his voice on his flow lol. Too much energy with the wrong tone.” Elsewhere, someone argued that the computer-generated audio fails to “capture Big’s essence one bit.”

Apart from the comedic, discourse-causing covers, we’ve also heard brand new lyrics written and beats crafted for Champagne Papi, The Weeknd, and more, rivalling some of their previous releases in the hearts of fans. In wake of this, music labels are beginning to take action in defence of their artists to protect their work and vocals. Keep scrolling to read Twitter’s reactions to the viral Biggie AI cover, and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments afterward.

Kim Kardashian’s OnlyFans Lookalike Dies

They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. Oscar Wilde actually said “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness” but people tend to leave the second bit out. However, looking like a celebrity can be quite a lucrative career. Pamela Anderson has a lookalike who has also modeled for Playboy. There’s a Taylor Swift lookalike who keeps getting banned from social media because platforms think she is imitating T-Swift.

Then there is Christina Ashten Gourkani. Professionally known as “Ashten G”, Gourkani rose to fame as a model and OnlyFans creator. She primarily stole headlines for bearing a striking resemblance to Kim Kardashian. Gourkani was especially famous for her surgically enhanced body, on top of being a spitting image of Kardashian. Boasting her measurements as “43-23-43” (Kim K is reportedly 38-25-41), Gourkani was a successful creator on OnlyFans and had 620,000 followers on Instagram.

Ashten G Dead At 34

According to a post on her Instagram, Gourkani was announced to have passed away. “It is with deep sorrow and an immensely heavy broken heart that we have to share the most shattering, unfortunate and unexpected passing of our beautiful beloved daughter and sister Christina Ashten Gourkani….” read the caption, which also directed fans to a GoFundMe for her funeral costs. Gourkani was 34, having been born in October 1988. She was born in the United States to a family of Iranian descent. She was eight years younger than Kardashian, who was born in 1980. According to the GoFundMe, Gourkani’s funeral will take on May 4.

The GoFundMe states that “our family continued living a nightmare as we were informed that her health and wellbeing had continued to decline in a downward spiral for the worse after suffering from a cardiac arrest. Her sudden and tragic passing is currently being investigated as a homicide related to medical procedure that took a turn for the worse.” Furthermore, it revealed that Gourkani passed away on April 20. Many have taken this to mean to Gourkani suffered a cardiac arrest while undergoing cosmetic surgery. However, this is only speculation and her family has not released additional details at this time. If more details emerge about Gourkani’s death, you’ll find them on HotNewHipHop.

Waka Flocka Wants A Grammy For “No Hands”

Waka Flocka Flame has had quite the career evolution. From making hits like “Hard in Da Paint” to now being a retired rapper and scholar. The dude really quit rap and got an honorary Doctorate. Moreover, there’s no denying that Waka Flocka has made a significant impact on the culture. Since being retired the 36-year-old rapper has had some time to sit and reflect on his career.

A few days ago, on April 23rd, Waka Flocka took to the internet to air some grievances. He asked Twitter, “How did I not get a grammy for no hands?” garnering many answers from fans. Waka Flocka wondering why he didn’t receive a Grammy for his 2010 anthem “No Hands” is completely valid. However, some fans had to bring the Flockaveli artist back down to Earth. One commenter noted that his Grammy loss came at the hands of Kanye “Ye” West. They said, “Prolly cuz Kanye was blocking all rap noms that year.”

Waka Flocka Asks Twitter

Although, they’re not wrong. 2010 was a big year for Ye. With works like My Beautiful Dark Fantasy, along with his collab tape with Jay-Z Watch the Throne the following year, Waka Flocka had his work cut out for him. At the 54th Annual Grammy Awards Ye earned the most nominations that year with seven and won four (sorry Waka). However, that doesn’t mean Waka Flocka wasn’t deserving of a Grammy.

“No Hands,” is an award-worthy song that needs its just do. There have been many club bangers, but not one like “No Hands.” The Roscoe Dash hook is undefeated. Waka Flocka brought new energy to the game when he put out his debut Flockaveli. A hit like “No Hands” deserves an award. However, fans would argue that “Hard in Da Paint” is also deserving of such a high honor. While Waka Flocka may not have a Grammy for his smash hit, it’s still a dope record regardless. Nonetheless, let the HNHH staff know what you think about Waka’s tweet. Does “No Hands” deserve a Grammy or is Waka trippin? Let us know in the comments section below!

Jeff Bezos Rolled Up To Coachella In A Butterfly Shirt To Watch Bad Bunny’s Headlining Set Alongside Kris Jenner

It goes without saying, but Bad Bunny has a ton of fans: In 2022, he was Spotify’s most-streamed artist in the world for the third year in a row. Among those admirers, it would seem, is another hyper-successful figure: Jeff Bezos.

This past Friday (April 21), Bad Bunny headlined the first night of Coachella’s second weekend for 2023. As People reports, the billionaire Amazon founder, who was once the wealthiest person in the world (he’s currently third), was seen attending Bad Bunny’s performance alongside partner and reporter Lauren Sánchez, Kris Jenner, and Corey Gamble. Fan-shot videos also show Bezos and Sánchez enjoying the show.

Bezos’ look drew some attention. As People notes, “Bezos, 59, also kept it casual in a long-sleeve light blue button-up shirt with butterflies on the front, a pair of jeans, and white sneakers with dark trim around the ankle.” Some onlookers took notice of the shirt, which can apparently be bought on Amazon for about $12 (or at least one that looks just like it can). One Reddit user summarized the ensemble, “Jeff looking like the dude that comes into a store and asks to buy the outfit off the mannequin.”

This comes months after Bezos gave Dolly Parton $100 million to use for philanthropic purposes.

Pras Roasted For Being An FBI Informant

Pras is getting a lot of flack and jokes online after he admitted that he was an FBI informant. Moreover, the revelation relates to his criminal conspiracy case, where he stood accused of witness tampering and failing to register as an agent of China, as well. According to Rolling Stone, the Fugees MC testified in his own federal trial. During that, he admitted to several meetings with FBI agents about China potentially extraditing a dissident. “Pras is testifying in his own defense,” reported Dan Friedman relayed on Twitter. “Told the judge: “After consulting with my attorneys and the universe, I decided that I will testify.”

Furthermore, this case also saw another famous person testify, but this time against Pras, and it was none other than Leonardo DiCaprio. While he’s not involved in this case at all, he detailed his relationships with Pras and with Malaysian businessman Jho Low. For those unaware, he’s the person that the rapper allegedly conspired with to embezzle money from the Malaysian government and to secretly fund Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign. What’s more is that the “Zealots” artist was apparently the middle man for many of these operations.

Pras Admits To Being An FBI Informant

Specifically, the court accused him of helping Low put pressure on White House and justice officials that tracked his fraud scheme. In addition, Pras allegedly helped advocate for the Chinese government “securing the return” of a dissident living in the U.S. that developed a relationship with former Trump advisor Steve Bannon. While denying his role as an agent of China, he clarified his involvement. “I took it upon myself to report because I thought the FBI should know,” he expressed during his testimony.

After this admission circled online, with the added fact that he reportedly accepted $100 million to engage in these activities, fans reacted with shock and ridicule on social media. Pras faces 22 years in prison if convicted, and the jury deliberated the case starting Monday (April 24). Before the trial, he spoke to Rolling Stone and maintained his innocence. “What benefit would I get trying to break laws?” he told the publication. “It’s not worth it to me. I’m like a pariah now. I’ve got friends who won’t talk to me because they think there’s a satellite in orbit listening to them.” Check out reactions to Pras, the FBI informant, down below and return to HNHH for the latest on the Fugees member.

Drake Fans Furious After He Rescheduled Tour Dates

Drake caused an uproar online after he rescheduled his dates for his upcoming tour with 21 Savage. Moreover, a lot of people specifically took issue with the dates moving from summer of this year to this fall. After all, for such an anticipated and expensive tour, many die-hards probably made big changes to their schedule to attend. That being said, not all tour dates saw a change. New Orleans, Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Miami, and Atlanta dates moving from summer to fall were the ones that fans decried.

Of course, this simply adds to grievances with this concert trek for a lot of supporters out there. For example, the “It’s All A Blur” tour first saw criticism for its insanely high ticket prices, with some comparing it to the likes of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé shows. However, that might not be entirely the organizers’ fault, as Ticketmaster often gets flack for how they “dynamically” shift prices to accommodate for massive demand. In addition, Drake and 21 Savage added various tour dates to the trek as well, so one person’s trash in Houston will be another’s treasure in, for example, Charlotte.

Drake Fans Mad That He Changed Tour Dates Around

Still, that doesn’t make the sting any less potent for a lot of OVO goons. While it’s been a long time since Drake embarked on a tour (since 2018 to be exact), recent shows gave fans hope and proof that this one will be excellent. One of these shows was the 6 God’s run in the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York City. During this and other recent performances, the “Nice For What” MC ran through his classic catalog and his most recent big hits.

Meanwhile, other aspects of the 36-year-old’s live shows left fans with a sour taste in their mouths. Specifically, his Lollapalooza set this year resulted in a late start, short performance, and a canceled livestream. If that sounds familiar, it’s because Coachella and Frank Ocean proved just weeks later that those issues can often plague festival headliners. Still, that doesn’t make it an easier pill to swallow for fans, especially when the blame is unclear. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest happenings from Drake and check out fan reactions down below.
