J Cole Shares Two More Unreleased Kendrick Lamar Songs Via His “Inevitable” Series

Yesterday, December 2, J Cole dropped episode seven of his intriguing and insightful audio series, Inevitable. Sadly, we are just three installments away from wrapping this up, with the remaining ones arriving on December 5, December 9, and then December 12. “Born Sinner (Part II)” will be number eight, followed by a two-part breakdown of the 2014 Forest Hills Drive era. Given that this is being billed as “Season 1,” we should hopefully be learning more about his other projects. You have KOD, The Off-Season, and 4 Your Eyez Only to still learn more about. One of the big reasons why the finale of this season is going to be so bittersweet is because all of the nostalgic material Cole has given fans.

For example, all three of his earliest mixtapes are finally on streaming. The Come Up Mixtape Vol. 1, The Warm Up, and Friday Night Lights, were all put out. The last two especially have been highly desired projects of his, so receiving them all of these years later is a real special treat. Speaking of older material, the snippets between him and Kendrick Lamar have been a joy to hear for the first time.

Last week, Cole was incredibly generous enough to share two of them. What’s more is that both of them were tracks that were going to make a collab project somewhere around 2010. We are still waiting on that like we are for the “Black Friday” releases. But given their up and down relationship, that’s most likely never going to happen. So, we are more than okay to just be able to hear what these two were working on back then.

One of them is produced by Washington D.C. beat maker and rapper Oddisee, and its head-nodding vibe. Lamar makes fun callbacks to the “Malice at the Palace,” the unhinged fight that broke out between players of the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons, as well as fans. Then, on the longer two-minute teaser, it’s more of an ignorant and wavy banger with an atmospheric, wind chime-like instrumental. These just continue to show how fire this would have been had it seen the light of day. One day folks, one day.

Megan Thee Stallion Previews An Unreleased Single While Showing Off Her Diamond Grill

Megan Thee Stallion teased an upcoming unreleased song on her Instagram page on Saturday, using the track to score a video of herself showing off a new grill from Johnny Dang & Co. In the caption of the clip, she wrote: “Almost done working hotties brb [butterfly emoji] (the song is not out yet).” The post features a video of her smiling to show off the piece as well as a number of selfies. In Johnny Dang & Co’s post about the grill, the company labels it the “Honeymoon Set” featuring “ALL GIA Certified Oval & Pink Diamond Pointers.”

As noted by HipHopDX, Megan begins her verse from the unreleased song: “I’m at the top of my game, I’m who they hate/this sh*t come with the fame, that’s how I knew that I made it I/Woke up looking this good, I’m in my prime/These n****s gotta get played/If these b*tches ain’t mad, I need to go harder/can’t let ’em think we the same.”

The upcoming song left fans in the comments section excited for its release. “I’m not asking to drop the song now. I’m asking when ?? cause we needs to know now !!!” one user wrote. GloRilla Takes Swift Action Following R-Word Controversy

One of Memphis’ leading ladies, GloRilla, has been one having such a fantastic 2024. It’s been a mini resurgence of sorts, with some people out there feeling that her career was on the downswing. However, those theories are currently out the window as she has put out hit after hit it seems. “Yeah Glo!”, “TGIF”, and “Wanna Be” are just a few to list off. Unfortunately, the uber-confident MC put herself in a little bit of controversy this past weekend. GloRilla posted a snippet of an upcoming single on her social media and in the preview, she drops the R-word.

“Me and my b**** r******d,”, she openly states on what figures to be a song titled “Holon”. This led to heaps of backlash. “Why are we still using the R-word in 2024? I can’t get with this one”. “Ion like that R-word so it’s a no for me”. These are just a couple of disappointed reactions from fans online. Some were trying to defend her word usage. However, it is a very sensitive thing to say in any context. In fact, the Special Olympics says it’s even a form of hate speech.

So, with GloRilla seeing all of the hate and perhaps coming to a realization that she did make a mistake, she took quick action. According to AllHipHop, Big Glo took to Instagram to re-tease the future record with the new change, “Me and my b**** go naughty“. This has since pleased a lot of people and see this as a sign of maturity from the young artist. “Awwww she changed the lyrics just in case it did hurt someone’s feelings ”, one user replies. “I love how you changed the R word out the song. I wasn’t offended but that’s real. Very mindful… very cutesy, very demurrrrrre”, another adds.

Since the start of July, Brampton, Ontario, Canadian native Tory Lanez has been dishing out some unreleased recordings under the “Lost Tapes” moniker. He has done so every weekend and their existences range from 2015-2020. All of these releases see the multi-hyphenate using his auto-crooning style, which means that R&B is the name of the game. Fans of his continuously debate which side of him they prefer. But with him serving 10 years of prison time, any “new” music from Tory is going to be a welcome sight for now.

The topical focus for these now six different tracks has centered around falling in and out of love and getting absolutely freaky in the bedroom. That remains to be the formula on Tory Lanez’s two latest “Lost Tapes” installments, “Girls In The Room (2020)” and “L.M.B.B (2018)”. On the former, Daystar Peterson is drunkenly singing to a girl who has he has felt strongly about for some time. THE FORCE, which is slated for a fall release according to HipHopNMore, is already shaping up to be a massive moment for the genre and longtime fans of the hitmaker. LL put out the lead single this past Friday (June 14), “Saturday Night Special”, which features Rick Ross and Fat Joe. Then, there is Eminem. The Detroit icon started his album rollout for The Death of Slim Shady already by releasing the controversial track “Houdini”.

With two mainstays looking to reaffirm their positions in hip-hop lore already being big news, there could not be anything that could top that right? Well, think again, as rumors are swirling around X circles that LL Cool J and Eminem have a collaboration potentially in the works for the first time ever. Let us start with the negative’s first. The song is already losing hype amongst the fans, as the song was leaked to X in full yesterday, potentially ruining the chance that it officially drops. Furthermore, the people that did check out the leak felt that Emimen put in a forgettable performance. Now for the positives. Social media users who decided to not play the unreleased version can feel even better about it, as at the time of writing, the leak was hit with a copyright strike. Kendrick Lamar Leaks Resurface Under pgLang Name On Streaming App

For pretty obvious reasons, fans are always foaming at the mouth for new Kendrick Lamar music, but the Drake beef has really amped that sentiment up to peak levels. While we’re still waiting on a response to “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle,” it seems like die-hards have found something else to build hype around. Moreover, 15 unreleased leaks from him have apparently appeared on the [untitled] streaming app under the pgLang name. For those unaware, [untitled] markets itself as “a sacred place for your work-in-progress music,” and it’s unclear at press time whether this was legitimately posted by pgLang or if these tracks were uploaded by a fan.

Either way, there’s a lot of conversation around this on social media right now, as accounts are quickly clarifying that this is not new Kendrick Lamar music. In fact, many online have pointed out how a lot of this material had previously leaked in the past couple of years, so this technically isn’t anything new at this point. Still, to see these songs compiled in this way, under this name, and with all the context surrounding K.Dot right now is a pretty exciting moment. After all, there are rumors that we might actually get an album soon, although fans are pretty split on what that represents.

Yes, new music from Kendrick Lamar will likely be something special, but does it mean that “Like That” was just a promo move to get the conversation rolling? Or to incentivize fans even further to tune in by teasing a response to Drake, who’s already taken down one of his two diss tracks against him? But G-Eazy might be winning some of those haters back with a newly released single “The Road Back.”

If the title suggests anything it is that Eazy is looking to get back into his bag and deliver some heat. That is exactly what “The Road Back” is, as Young Gerald is essentially reintroducing himself to the audience. He gets pretty lyrical on this record, and it goes over well, as he raps with a lot of charisma and hunger. However, this track is not easy to track down unfortunately.

He has been creating quite the stir online himself after dissing drake on a “Like That” remix and some were wondering if it was real. Well, there is also similar speculation, as AI rumors are swirling for the verse from Kanye on the Gambino track.

The reason for the second-guessing comes from a post on X from the account called Kurrco. The GILGA Radio show has been utilizing the controversial technology through ads and narration. The Weeknd Revealed As Co-Writer For Upcoming Film Project

Elsewhere, The Weeknd has been revealed as a co-writer for an upcoming film from director Trey Edward Shults. Little is known about the project, but The Weeknd will also reportedly star alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. The untitled film is Shults’ first since 2019’s Waves. The film was an indie darling, scoring well with critics and audiences but failing to recoup its $6 million budget. Shults has two other feature films – 2015’s Krisha and 2017’s It Comes At Night.

However, Shults’ 2024 outing is shaping up to be his biggest yet. Ortega is one of the hottest stars in Hollywood following her massive 2023 with Wednesday and Scream VI. Meanwhile, Keoghan comes off the critically acclaimed Saltburn. As for The Weeknd, he will likely be hoping for a better-received screen outing after the critical disaster of HBO’s The Idol. A lot of criticism was leveled at the project from Euphoria‘s Sam Levinson. However, The Weeknd’s portrayal of primary antagonist Tedros was notably slammed by critics.

Cam’ron Confirms He & Mase Have Unheard Music In The Vault

Luckily, the two of them were ultimately able to sort out their differences. They even joined forces to start a sports podcast together last year, It Is What It Is. It’s gone on to become a massive success, hosting various high-profile guests like Ice Cube, Stephen A. Smith, and many more. They even scored a major deal with Underdog Fantasy in August, giving the personalities even more room to grow.
