SZA Reveals Her Favorite Tracks Off “SOS”

SZA has put out some of the most impactful music of this generation. With classics like her debut tape, CTRL, to her new highly anticipated album SOS, it’s clear SZA’s in a league of her own. Moreover, with her new album, fans have continued to rave over it since its release. Garnering much success, along with a ton of accolades has catapulted the “Go Gina” songstress into a new stratosphere. Recently, SZA and the Queen Bey are the only two Black Women (shout out Black Women) to release a No.1 album and No.1 song in this 2020 decade.

Not only that, SZA expressed how honored she was to receive a No.1 album and song. It’s not every day you get a No.1 album and song in the same space as Mrs. Carter. Later, after thanking her fans for their amazing support of her record. Not to mention, the “Kill Bill” remix featuring Doja Cat became the singer’s first No.1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. She took to Instagram to extend her gratitude for the high honor. “To be next to the queen is an honor,” SZA wrote on Instagram.

SZA Tweets Her Favorite Songs Off Her New Album

Furthermore, since releasing the album and performing it on tour, SZA’s had some time to reflect. In a recent tweet the TDE signee revealed a few of her favorite cuts from SOS. “snooze ,love language, kill bill ,nobody gets me ,ex pack ,blind ,good days ,gone girl, I hate u, F2F,low , seek and destroy , ghost , Sos , used. Personal picks,” SZA tweeted. In a follow up tweet, she also mentioned that “Forgiveless” was also in her picks of favorite tracks. Plus who doesn’t love that ODB (Ol’ Dirty Bastard) verse?

Henceforth, SOS has been a smash hit across the board. It’s been one of the most celebrated albums of 2022. Not only were fans already waiting feverishly for SZA to drop the album, the tape is filled with amazing songs that are relatable and resonate deeply with her fanbase. What are your favorite songs off the album? Is this SZA’s best project to date. Let the HNHH crew know what you think in the comments below!

SZA Reacts To Matching With Beyoncé For This Accomplishment

Few albums have garnered the success, acclaim, and cultural impact that Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE and SZA’s SOS achieved this decade. Both 2022 projects, and their respective hit songs, resonated deeply with fans and audiences everywhere. Moreover, now the two stars share something in common, something that the TDE singer is incredibly honored by considering she’s a huge fan of Ms. Carter. Furthermore, they are the only two Black women so far to have released a No. 1 album and No. 1 song in the 2020s decade. What’s more is that the “Kill Bill” singer just landed her first chart-topping track with that song’s remix featuring Doja Cat.

“To be next to the queen is an honor,” SZA wrote on Instagram commemorating the achievement shared with Beyoncé. Just a couple of days before, she thanked fans for their insane support that took the “Kill Bill” remix to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. “Took me a over week to process cause I dreamt of this my entire career.. didn’t feel real lol, still doesn’t,” the 33-year-old shared. “but I wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. Every person, every fan base every ear that listened and pushed for me . Can’t believe we have a number 1 record.”

SZA & Beyoncé Are Leading The Way This Decade

What’s more is that SZA is such a fan of Beyoncé that she’s ready to throw hands for her tour tickets. During an Instagram Live session with Lizzo, they spoke on seeing her live, which the “Grrrls” singer’s done an astonishing 11 times (including Destiny’s Child performances). “The only time I seen Beyoncé perform was at Coachella, and it was f***ing crazy,” SZA remarked. “You making it seem like it’s okay to fight for these tickets now. I’m going to fight for them. It was like taboo trying to fight for them because everyone was trying to get them.”

Meanwhile, the “Gone Girl” star spoke to The Los Angeles Times about Bey’s Grammys loss this year. “Beyoncé — she’s so much bigger than a f***ing Grammy. She’s Beyoncé! She’s done it for women, she’s done it for Black people, she’s done it for artists, she’s done so much for the world by just being herself.” For the latest news, updates, and achievements from SZA and Beyoncé, check back in with HNHH.

SZA Reps Frank Ocean

Jokes aside, SZA and Frank Ocean are probably two of the most (if not the most) beloved pop and R&B figures of the last decade or so. As such, it’s expected for them to have a lot of love and respect for one another, which the SOS singer displayed proudly. Recently, she was pictured wearing a shirt with the former Odd Future member’s face on it, showing she might be as much of a fan of fan-designed merch as the rest of us plebeians. Of course, as anything Frank or Solana touch turns to gold, fans immediately clamored for a prompt collab release.

Still, that day may never come, considering Frank Ocean’s notoriously scant drops over the course of his ten-plus-year career. However, SZA’s more on top of the world than she’s ever been, so if anyone has that power, it may well be her. In fact, fans recently spotted him during her incredibly successful tour watching Omar Apollo open for her. With that in mind, their relationship probably goes deeper than any collab track fans will pester them for online.

Frank Ocean On SZA’s “Shirt”

What’s more is that we’ve been so close to getting that team-up on at least a few different occasions. For example, the TDE artist named the “White Ferrari” vocalist as one of her intended collaborations on her latest album. Other names included Drake, Bad Bunny, Tyler, The Creator, Billie Eilish, ROSALÍA, Kacey Musgraves, and more. “Sometimes people turn in their verses and sometimes they don’t,” SZA remarked about Frank Ocean’s potential guest spot during a HOT 97 interview. “And a lot of people just did not turn in their verses. But I’m grateful for who did. For a lot of these people, I didn’t turn in my verse [either] so I can’t be too mad.”

“I’ve learnt a lot from people around me,” she told i-D Magazine concerning her favorite artists back in 2018. “I f**k with Ri. She’s in my corner. I f**k with what she does, I f**k with her place in the world. I f**k with her energy, I f**k with what she chooses to do with it, she’s dope. Frank Ocean is a king. Kendrick Lamar is the voice of our generation. He’s the most exciting thing in culture right now. Kidding. Although not really.” Regardless of their potential work together, return to HNHH for the latest news on SZA and Frank Ocean.

SZA Shut Down Some Inaccurate Info About Her Deluxe ‘SOS’ Album That’s Been Circulating On Social Media

SZA excited fans with the highly anticipated release of her new album SOS in December. “Kill Bill” has since become a No. 1 hit. However, she’s already begun talking about a deluxe version, after a Billboard piece in February noted, “Once she releases the deluxe edition of SOS — which will feature 10 additional tracks and is coming soon — SZA says she’ll be done trying to convince herself that she deserves her flowers.”

Of course, fans of the singer can be quite impatient. In fact, they can be so impatient that a fake tracklist for the SOS deluxe is circulating and she had to address it in an Instagram Story.

“This is fake,” she wrote. “And that other leak is from Ctrl 6 years ago.”

In that Billboard interview, she discussed her goals with doing a deluxe version of the record. “After I do the deluxe, I’m hoping to be able to accept that this chapter is done,” SZA said. “I’m looking forward to actually feeling proud of myself and not just smiling and nodding at accolades but really feeling it internally and knowing that I’m good enough.”

In January, she also had to shut down theories that the license plate in her music video symbolized a release date of some sort: “The deluxe is not coming out in august lol it’s just a license plate,” she wrote on Twitter.

SZA Relaxes With R&B In New Instagram Thirst Trap

SZA almost always rocks some pretty stunning and flattering fits, whether for big ceremonies or just chilling out by herself. Moreover, the TDE singer just posted a new, casual thirst trap to her Instagram, if you can even call it that. As the track “All That I Can Say” by Mary J. Blige and Lauryn Hill plays in the background, she lightly moves along to it and rests her head on the wall with a smile. She wore a long-sleeve red crop top and what looks like the “Sunday school skirt” she got clowned for the other day. Regardless, she still looked amazing in the low-key post, which is still enough for her fans and admirers to give her high praise.

Furthermore, the 33-year-old almost always makes sure to give that appreciation back to fans. For example, she recently reflected on earning her first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Kill Bill” via Twitter. “Took me over a week to process cause I dreamt of this my entire career,” SZA wrote. “Didn’t feel real lol, still doesn’t. but I wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. Every person ,every fan base every ear that listened and pushed for me. Can’t believe we have a number 1 record.”

SZA Stuns While Listening To Mary J. Blige & Lauryn Hill

In addition, for the song’s remix with Doja Cat, the St. Louis-born star thanked her for her contributions. “I jus wanted to say THANK YOU,” SZA gushed about the single’s success. “To every single person rooting for me . Thank you @dojacat for your talent and time ! This music s**t is weird and fickle ,but y’all always come together for me at the end of the day. It’s why I try my hardest to give you my best . That won’t stop . I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!’ STREAM KILL BILL REMIX (feat @dojacat) AND ORIGINAL.”

Meanwhile, her gratitude and effortless admirability over social media translates into the awards space as well. Alongside Rihanna and the aforementioned Doja, SZA was one of the biggest winners at the 2023 Webbys. She clearly has a lot to appreciate and celebrate these days, and always make sure to look really good doing so. For more updates and the latest news from the “Gone Girl” singer, come back to HNHH.

SZA Reflected On ‘Kill Bill’ Becoming Her First No. 1 Record And Why It ‘Took Me Over A Week To Process’

SZA’s hit single “Kill Bill” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 a week ago, but she’s only just now getting around to reacting. The single, her first-ever career No. 1, had crept up the chart ever since its release in January, one month after the release of her second album, SOS. And while the album that contained “Kill Bill” spent multiple consecutive weeks at the top position on the albums chart, SZA had yet to top the charts with a single until now.

On Twitter, SZA explained why it took her so long to respond to the achievement while reflecting on what it meant for her. “took me over a week to process cause I dreamt of this my entire career,” she wrote. “didn’t feel real lol, still doesn’t. but I wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. Every person, every fan base every ear that listened and pushed for me. Can’t believe we have a number 1 record.”

“Kill Bill” finally reached the top of the Hot 100 a week after SZA reunited with Doja Cat on the single’s remix and announced an extension of her SOS Tour, which had already grossed $34 million in revenue on its first North American leg.

SZA Twerks In A “Sunday School Skirt,” Social Media Pokes Fun At Her

SZA’s BBL has been a topic of conversation ever since she confirmed rumours of having plastic surgery on last year’s SOS album. While it’s obviously not uncommon for women to undergo the procedure (which transfers fat from your abdomen, hips, lower back, and/or thighs to your booty), not everyone can afford treatment from the best surgeons. Thankfully for the TDE artist, she’s long been regarded as having one of the best fake bodies in the game – however, not everyone feels that way.

Discourse about the “Drew Barrymore” singer’s figure picked up once again today (May 1), when a video of her twerking in a “Sunday school skirt” began making rounds online. In the brief, comedic clip, SZA’s back is turned to the camera as she makes her cheeks clap in a knee-length skirt. As the camera continues to film, she even starts moving her arms along, eventually looking back before bursting into laughter at the sight of herself. While the size of her curvaceous booty is certainly evident under the loose garment, many viewers have pointed out that, without seeing her face, they could easily mistake SZA for an auntie of theirs.

SZA Shakes Her Booty for Social Media

“Now I see why y’all said it was giving auntie,” one Instagram user wrote in @theneighborhoodtalk’s comment section. “I thought y’all was just hating at first 🥴😭.” Another praised SZA’s bodacious body, commenting, “Baby I thought this was Kelly Price. When did SZA get so Big and Beautiful?” Elsewhere, someone suggested that the 33-year-old could be suffering from something that happens to many women post-BBL as a result of not enough time spent at the gym or eating healthily.

While she’s obviously been spending some of her time recently practicing her booty-shaking skills, it’s possible the vocalist could also make an appearance at the Met Gala this evening. We saw her step out in 2022 for the star-studded event, looking more glamorous than ever and would be more than pleased to see her pull off another dramatic designer outfit in honour of Karl Lagerfeld. Keep scrolling to read more reactions to SZA’s latest twerking video. Afterward, share your thoughts in the comments, and tap back in later for more hip-hop and pop culture news updates.
