Drake Gets Support From Uma Thurman Amid Beef With Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, Future, & More

Drake is currently taking on the entire rap world. Overall, it started with the song “Like That” where Kendrick Lamar proclaimed the big three did not exist. There were some shots at Drizzy, and the megastar took exception to that. In a leaked track called “Push Ups,” the Canadian came through with some especially scathing bars. However, it was not the knockout blow that some fans felt he needed to come through with. As it stands, the only person to reply has been Rick Ross, who came through with a diss track called “Champagne Moments.”

In the midst of these feuds, Drake took to his social media page, where he likened himself to Uma Thurman’s iconic character from Kill Bill. Well, it seems like Thurman is keeping tabs on these things. In the Instagram post below, you can see that Thurman reached out to Drake on IG, with a picture of her old outfit from the movie. “Need this?” she wrote. Clearly, it seems like Thurman has Drake’s back in all of this. How she heard about all of this, remains a mystery. Although it is still a cross over that fans will enjoy.

SZA Murders The 2024 Grammy Awards Audience With A Performance Of Her Hit Songs ‘Snooze’ And ‘Kill Bill’

As the most nominated artist of the 2024 Grammy Awards, all eyes are on SZA. Just days before the coveted ceremony, The Recording Academy announced that the “Snooze” singer would take the stage. During her sit down with Apple Music, SZA confessed that she initially got into music to her naysayers wrong.

But after reaching massive success, SZA is well beyond that, and her Grammy performance proved that. After pulling out of the 2023 VMAs, her onstage set during the 2024 Grammys carried that much more weight. SZA knocked it out of the park without skipping a beat, performing her first No. 1 song and hit single “Kill Bill,” along with some of “Snooze.”

In May 2023, SZA shared a touching note after learning of the milestone. “Took me over a week to process ’cause I dreamt of this my entire career,” she said. “It didn’t feel real, lol, and still doesn’t. But I wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. Every person, every fan base, every ear that listened and pushed for me. Can’t believe we have a number 1 record.”

At the 2024 Grammys, SZA is up for nine awards, including Album of the Year (SOS), Song and Record of the Year (“Kill Bill”), Best Progressive R&B Album (SOS), Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Love Language”), Best R&B Song (“Snooze”), Best R&B Performance (“Kill Bill”), Best Melodic Rap Performance (“Low”) and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Ghost in the Machine”).

SZA’s “Kill Bill” Among Bill Nye’s Top Songs Of 2023

Earlier this week, Bill Nye took to social media to unveil his list of top songs of the year from his Spotify Wrapped. Among the engineer’s favorite tracks of 2023 were SZA’s “Kill Bill” and Taylor Swift’s “Karma.” Stealing the No. 1 spot, however, was the theme song to his own show, Bill Nye The Science Guy.

It’s no secret that Nye is a SZA fan, as the two of them were previously spotted in a photo together, which made its rounds online a couple of years back. It even ended up sparking some faux dating rumors, though he’s happily married. Regardless, he’s obviously jammed to “Kill Bill” quite a lot this year based on his Spotify Wrapped.

While it may come as a surprise to some, it seems that nearly nobody can resist the catchy SOS track. He’s not the only one shocking fans with his taste in music, however. SZA recently came through with a few of her own unexpected musical favorites as well. She chatted with Variety earlier this week, revealing that she’s a huge fan of Creed and Nickelback. According to her, they definitely don’t deserve all the hate they receive.

“I like Creed so much — ‘Higher’? Why are you hating on it? Have you ever felt more inspired and uplifted in your life?” she wondered. “I’m in the car and I’m blasting ‘Higher,’ I feel like it’s a gospel song, the vocals are going cr*zy and it’s also somehow slightly romantic, it just feels so fun. Because even if it’s cliche, he’s so f*cking dead a**! I will be a Creed fan forever. Like, it started just on a whim in the shower, ‘Oh, let’s play this,’ and then it became a week of Creed and Nickelback.” What do you think of Bill Nye’s top songs of the year? Are you surprised that SZA made the list? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

SZA Leads The Way With The Most Grammy Nominations, “Kill Bill” Nabs Song Of The Year Nod

SZA’s major 2023 is continuing with new recognition from the Grammys. Late last year she dropped her highly-anticipated new studio album SOS which instantly became a smash hit. The album sat on top of the Billboard 200 for weeks after it was released and spawned some of the singer’s biggest hits to date. Subsequently, her track “Kill Bill” took off immediately and lasted in the top of the charts for months including a week atop the Hot 100. As soon as its momentum began to slow down it was replaced in the top 5 of the chart by another single, “Snooze.”

Now, she’s at the very top of the list of Grammy nominees. She’s officially the most nominated artist at the 2024 Grammys, racking up a total of 9 nominations. Her nominations include Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Pop Duo Performance, R&B Performance, Traditional R&B Performance, R&B Song, Progressive R&B Album, and Melodic Rap Performance. In particular, she cleaned up nominations with her album SOS and her mega-hit “Kill Bill.

SZA Scores 9 2024 Grammy Nominations

Perhaps most notable of all her nominations is Song Of The Year. The nomination is for “Kill Bill” which has been quite an impressive critical darling. That’s on top of also being one of the biggest hits of the year. She’s joined by artists like Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and more in the list of nominees.

This isn’t the only critical recognition that SZA has received recently. Earlier this week, Variety honored the R&B star’s massive year. They awarded her the title of 2023 Hitmaker Of The Year. SZA has also been atop the Billboard R&B Songwriters Chart all year. Her series of hits in the wake of SOS have kept her at the top spot on the charts for over 50 weeks. What do you think of SZA leading all other artists in Grammy nominations? Let us know in the comment section below.

Sukihana Roots For Rekindled Romance, Shuts Down Summer Walker’s Suggestion To Reunite With Kill Bill

Recently, Sukihana took to social media to showing her support for reunited couples. She shared some photos of Summer Walker and Lil Meech, Nelly and Ashanti, Birdman and Toni Braxton, and more. “MOOD,” her caption reads. “Look at summer yall [laughing emoji]. Childddd go get yall man back.” While Suki may be rooting for her peers’ relationships, she made it clear that she has no intentions of getting back with her own ex, Kill Bill.

The duo called it quits last year, and he’s since been arrested on drug charges and more. Summer Walker saw Suki’s post, responding with a laughing emoji and telling her, “Now go call Bill.” Suki responded to Walker’s suggestion with a simple message. “Child that man in jail and this about you,” she wrote.

Sukihana Doesn’t Want To Get Back With Kill Bill

While Suki’s no longer rocking with Bill, it does appear as though she’s in a new relationship, though she’s yet to reveal who the lucky guy is. In October, she provided fans with an eagerly-anticipated update on her music as well as her relationship status. “To all my fans I’m working on on my project I have a lot of good coochie music coming,” she explained. “I love y’all so much. I just needed to move into my house and get my kids right cause I’m a mother first.”

She went on to give a brief yet telling description of her new man, which sparked a bit of concern among fans. She claimed that whoever she’s dating sells percs, and even got a tattoo of her name already. It’s unclear whether or not she’s still seeing the mystery man, or if she’s since moved on. What do you think of Sukihana showing her support to couples who have separated and then came back together? What do you think of her exchange with Summer Walker about her relationship with Kill Bill? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Megan Fox And Machine Gun Kelly Rock Matching “Kill Bill” Halloween Costumes

Megan Fox and Megan Gun Kelly embraced the more macabre aspects of their relationship, rocking a killer-victim dynamic for their Halloween costumes this year. MGK dressed as The Bride, Uma Thurman’s iconic character from Kill Bill. Meanwhile, Fox dressed as Gogo Ubari, the infamous “schoolgirl assassin” who provides one of Kill Bill: Part 1‘s most memorable fights. However, Gogo also ends up as one of The Bride’s victims, famously bleeding from her eyes as she dies. Fox made sure to include the tear-like blood in her costume. Check out the couple’s outfits below.

However, the appearance also marks a turning point for the couple. The pair have spent most of the year reconciling after Fox abruptly called off their wedding. According to reports, MGK has been working hard to win Fox back after being unfaithful to her. “They have done a lot of work to make their relationship strong again and are back together. They are engaged, but are not wedding planning,” an insider told PEOPLE earlier this week.

It’s no secret that the couple likes to dress up in wild outfits. However, even when it’s for work, Fox does have a certain sway over Kelly. Back in July, Fox riled up a lot of the internet with a scintillating forest photoshoot. The 37-year-old actress went full forest nymph, balancing on a thick tree branch in a barely-there green string bikini. Captioned “The forest is my oldest friend,” the post has garnered over 4.1 million likes since being posted. Furthermore, Fox was called a “fairy” by the photographer, Cibelle Levi. The images come a few months after Fox appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. However, as part of her cover model interview, Fox also told the outlet that she had long struggled with body dysmorphia. “I don’t ever see myself the way other people see me. There’s never a point in my life where I loved my body, never, ever.”

However, one person who particularly enjoyed the pictures was MGK. “If this is what a wild animal looks like, I’d let it maul me,” the rapper wrote in the comments. Kelly and Fox have never been secretive about their relationship and attraction to one another. However, after a rough few months, seeing Kelly get horny on main for his wife-to-be again appeared to start of a better place for the fractured relationship.

SZA’s “Kill Bill” Video Almost Had Uma Thurman Cameo, Vivica A. Fox Claims

SZA’s “Kill Bill” is one of the biggest hits of the decade so far, let alone of 2022 and 2023 due to its late-year release. In addition, its music video was also very well-received, especially due to tapping original Kill Bill star, Vivica A. Fox. However, apparently the TDE singer’s team wanted to get the film’s main character, Uma Thurman, according to Fox. What’s more is that, even though The Bride didn’t appear, Vivica is still waiting for a reunion at some point through another film in the franchise. During an interview with AV Club, the actress spoke on these allegations and how she responded to this news- and to them reaching out to her.

“When I got it, I was surprised, to be honest with you,” Fox said of SZA’s video. “‘Cause they called… [It] took them five days to finally decide that they were going to hire me, ’cause I think they wanted Uma Thurman. But when you think about it, it’s a little bit more fitting for SZA and Vivica to be together because we’re both African American women, and when it came out, people just ran with it.

SZA’s “Kill Bill” Video

“They were like, ‘They’re going to make Kill Bill 3, finally,’” the actress continued. “Because people have been waiting for Kill Bill 3 for such a long time and see my daughter get revenge on Uma.” However, she also made it clear that she doesn’t resent or feel frustration over being second fiddle to Thurman when it came to getting a Kill Bill star on the video. “Cool,” she said of SZA’s efforts. “I mean, it is her franchise, as well as mine.”

Meanwhile, the “Gone Girl” singer explained the inspiration behind the video to Entertainment Weekly. In fact, she probably always wanted Fox to appear in the visual. “I love Vivica A. Fox’s character,” she remarked. “I love Lucy Liu’s character, I even love Bill. Because he’s super complex, I feel like he doesn’t understand why he did what he did. He’s void of emotion, but he loved The Bride so much that he couldn’t stand her to be with anyone else.” For more news and updates on SZA and Vivica A. Fox, log back into HNHH.

SZA’s ‘Kill Bill’ Video Almost Featured A Special Cameo From Uma Thurman, According To Vivica A. Fox

SZA might’ve punked out from submitting guest verses in the past. But she isn’t shy about securing memorable star-studded cameos on her projects. The “Low” singer’s past videos have featured guest appearances by Drew Barrymore and more. However, there was one actress that she couldn’t snag. According to Vivica A. Fox, her on-screen spotlight in SZA’s “Kill Bill” video might have been intended for Uma Thurman.

During an interview with AV Club, Fox recounted working with the songwriter. “When I got it, I was surprised, to be honest with you. Cause they called…[It] took them five days to finally decide that they were going to hire me, ’cause I think they wanted Uma Thurman,” said Fox.

The actress added, “But when you think about it, it’s a little bit more fitting for SZA and Vivica to be together because we’re both African American women, and when it came out, people just ran with it. They were like, ‘They’re going to make Kill Bill 3, finally.’ Because people have been waiting for Kill Bill 3 for such a long time and see my daughter get revenge on Uma.”

Fox holds no bad blood over the matter, saying that SZA’s delayed response due to her supposedly trying to secure Thurman was “Cool,” she remarked, saying, “I mean, it is her franchise, as well as mine.”

Contrarily, when outlining the inspiration behind the video, SZA made it clear that Fox’s appearance was always the goal. “I love Vivica A. Fox’s character. I love Lucy Liu’s character. I even love Bill because he’s super complex. I feel like he doesn’t understand why he did what he did. He’s void of emotion, but he loved The Bride so much that he couldn’t stand her to be with anyone else,” SZA told EW.

SZA Reflected On ‘Kill Bill’ Becoming Her First No. 1 Record And Why It ‘Took Me Over A Week To Process’

SZA’s hit single “Kill Bill” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 a week ago, but she’s only just now getting around to reacting. The single, her first-ever career No. 1, had crept up the chart ever since its release in January, one month after the release of her second album, SOS. And while the album that contained “Kill Bill” spent multiple consecutive weeks at the top position on the albums chart, SZA had yet to top the charts with a single until now.

On Twitter, SZA explained why it took her so long to respond to the achievement while reflecting on what it meant for her. “took me over a week to process cause I dreamt of this my entire career,” she wrote. “didn’t feel real lol, still doesn’t. but I wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. Every person, every fan base every ear that listened and pushed for me. Can’t believe we have a number 1 record.”

“Kill Bill” finally reached the top of the Hot 100 a week after SZA reunited with Doja Cat on the single’s remix and announced an extension of her SOS Tour, which had already grossed $34 million in revenue on its first North American leg.

Check out SZA’s response to her first-ever career No. 1 single above.
