Young Thug Publicly Slams Gunna: “I Don’t Know U”

At the end of last month, Young Thug was finally released from prison after over two years. He accepted a plea deal in the YSL RICO case, and will now spend 15 years on probation. In addition to this, the rapper must abide by various release conditions, including not communicating with any YSL affiliates. The only exceptions to this rule are his brother and Gunna, with whom he was granted permission to work in the future.

This led many fans to assume that he and Gunna were on good terms, despite rumors that Gunna “snitched” on Young Thug. Now, however, it appears as though that’s not the case. Today, Young Thug took to X to publicly diss Gunna, suggesting that they’re no longer friends.

Young Thug Goes After Gunna Following Prison Release

“Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don’t know u my guy,” the now-deleted tweet reads. Most social media users believe this is a response to Gunna reposting a promo post teasing new Young Thug music on his Instagram Story earlier today. Of course, supporters are in shambles as they share their reactions to the post on X. The post arrived shortly after DJ Akademiks claimed that Young Thug allegedly sent messages to various rappers in which he accused Gunna of snitching on him.

“Young Thug told everybody that Gunna was a snitch. I’m telling you this, I don’t give a f*ck if you believe me,” he alleged during a recent stream. 50 Cent and Dame Dash’s back and forth continues, with Fif throwing the latest jab on Instagram today. He shared a clip suggesting that everyone including Dame should “try to have a nice day,” and included some serious shade in his caption. “Tag Dame and tell him If he was respectful to people when he was up, this would never have happened. [laughing emoji] Try to have a nice day!” he wrote.

At the time of writing, it remains unclear exactly what prompted Fif’s post, as they’ve been going after one another online for a while. Recently, however, Dame sat down for an interview on America Nu Network, where he questioned 50 Cent’s behavior towards Cam’ron at SelectCon in New York City last month.

50 Cent Trolls Dame Dash

Dame’s remarks arrived shortly after Fif clowned him for his financial issues and for his dental mishap that went viral earlier this year. Yesterday, Drake took to Instagram to write a heartfelt message to his father, Dennis Graham. His message accompanies footage of the two of them singing a duet onstage, and the crowd going wild. “My dad thinks I haven’t been listening to him when he’s been singing his old a** songs for 30 years straight but he’s my favorite singer of all time so I know all the words [laughing emojis] I love ya Dennis James,” Drake wrote.

Dennis was sure to show his son some love back in his comments section. “I love you too baby,” he responded. “These people don’t know where you came from or where you’re going baby so just keep doing you, keep on walking don’t look back.” This isn’t the first time fans have seen Drake and his dad team up onstage, however.

Drake Joins His Father Onstage

Last month, they joined forces to perform T-Bone Walker’s 1947 song “Stormy Monday” at a jazz club in Toronto. Their duet was during Shane Philips’ set with the Band of People, according to Billboard, and Philips later shared a selfie with the rapper alongside a sweet caption. “It’s not often that i let people up on my stage but #drake showed up to my show with his dad and guess what … his dad could sing so i got them both up. If my dad was alive I would have wanted the same,” he said.

This isn’t the only heartwarming father and son moment Drake has been a part of recently either, as his son Adonis also wrote him an adorable letter last week. “Thank you for giving me such a good life,” it read, “And a good family. He also notes how it can be “amplified” by factors like social media, with sometimes disastrous results.

“Hip-hop has always been competitive. So, saying I’m better than you is a part of hip-hop,” he said on Boss Talk 101 earlier this week. “The disses that’s going on, like, I can outrap you is one thing. But then when you take it to the next level, like, ‘When I see you it’s a problem.’”

Ice-T Discusses How Rap Beef Has Changed Over The Years

“The problem with beef is that it can escalate away from you,” he continued. “Say I have beef with Treach and I’m talking sh*t about Treach. I could run into one of his fans on the street who wants to get active.” Ice-T went on, also noting how certain factors such as social media can make rap beef much worse. He added that he doesn’t personally understand why people bring their beef online when it could just be squashed instead.

“Having beef is just not smart if you can avoid it,” he said. “Another thing is [older rappers] didn’t have social media, big difference. Social media is an amplifier to everything. According to various reports, his $1.7 million Richard Mille watch is allegedly missing after being seized by authorities following his arrest. Now, social media users have some theories about where it could be. Many of them involve a police officer who recently took the stand in the YSL RICO trial.

In a clip from the courtroom, he’s seen wearing a watch that some fans theorize could allegedly be Young Thug’s. Of course, this is unconfirmed, but some Instagram users in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments are convinced regardless. “Cops be the ones you gotta watch the most sometimes,” one of them writes. “Now why would he wear that to court?” someone else wonders.
