Tommy Richman Teases New Song “Devil Is A Lie” And It Slaps

Tommy Richman has been making music for nearly a decade, but 2024 is his year. The singer broke out in a big way with the single “Million Dollar Baby.” Not only was a viral sensation on TikTok, but it crossed over and went number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Richman is now an R&B star. The pressure now, of course, is to prove that he’s not a one hit wonder. We’ve seen lots of “Million Dollar Baby” singers come and go. The next Richman single is going to be crucial, and it sounds like he’s got it under control.

Richman posted a teaser of his upcoming song, “Devil Is a Lie,” on TikTok on June 6. The brief clip sees him not only singing the song, but doing so on what appears to be a set for the music video. He sings in front of a car, and and posts up from a different angle where a camera can be seen moving past him. It’s led fans to believe that “Devil Is a Lie” is not only coming soon, but will have an official video attached as well. The song itself is ridiculously catchy. It captures the same bouncy, hooky energy of Richman’s first big smash, but with a throwback 2000’s feel. Many fans have rightfully pointed out that the singer seems to be channeling vintage Neptunes. The beat definitely sounds like something Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo would have cooked up for Nelly back in the day.

Tommy Richman Has Another Hit In The Works

This makes perfect sense, given Tommy Richman’s affiliation with another R&B star, Brent Fayiaz. He had a standout appearance on the Faiyaz mixtape Larger Than Life, which also revived the 2000s sound they both grew up idolizing. Richman even signed to Faiyaz’s creative agency, ISO Supremacy, furthering their like-mindedness. It’s also worth noting that Richman hails from Virginia, which is where artists like Faiyaz and the Neptunes originated. The singer spoke on the impact of VA’s musical history on his own working process during a 2023 interview with Miami New Times.

“There’s a lot of passion through the scene back home,” Richman explained. “And I feel like it’s because a lot of people don’t get a fair shake. It’s really hard to have your voice heard there. That’s probably why a lot of people from Virginia left, like Pharrell and Timbaland. It’s kind of key for an artist to leave their nest. That way, you can appreciate where you come from.” Richman wants honor the legacy of these artists, and “Devil Is a Lie” suggests he’s doing a great job.

Lil Yachty Teases Snippet Of Unreleased Track, Fans Call Him Out For Copying Multiple Artists’ Styles

Lil Yachty has had quite a few people turn on him it seems. Over the last few weeks, the Georgia rapper, singer, and songwriter has caught some flak over his takes on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef. In fact, a fan on X (formerly Twitter) called him for essentially being a fake friend. It got pretty explosive, with Lil Boat telling the fan to “suck a d**k nerd”. Now, on top of dealing with people online calling him a traitor, listeners are not messing with some new material he has coming soon. An Instagram repost from 2Cool2Blog showed off a new snippet from Lil Yachty, but the reception on it has been purely negative.

One user cannot believe that Drake really has him to help write songs. “This guy is supposed to be a ghostwriter 💀”. “This s***s horrible, fam subtitles should let you know immediately that this ain’t it,” another adds. One hip-hop fan even makes the claim that Yachty has pushed out bad material for a minute now. “It’s impressive how consecutively trash his music has been over the years.”

A lot of commenters were also alluding to the fact that he was biting off other sounds. Some of the most popular ones were LUCKI, Veeze, and Playboi Carti. We can definitely see where the people are coming from. Yachty is rapping with a severely raspy and lowkey cadence, his flows sound sleepy, and he is lyrics are barely discernable because of the mumbly delivery. We do not think he has been dropping bad music for years, but this one is looking like it will not perform well when it drops.

What are your thoughts on this new snippet from Lil Yachty? Do you agree with the fans that this is not going to be good, why or why not? Do you think he has lost his magic touch a bit? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Lil Yachty. Kanye West’s First Intro For “LIKE THAT” REMIX Surfaces & It Was Originally A Callback To This “Late Registration” Record

All hip-hop fans know that Kanye West loves to tweak anything he does relentlessly. As we all know, the VULTURES rollout schedule has nowhere near gone according to plan. The trilogy was supposed to have been completed by now in a perfect world. However, we are still being left in the dark on the future plans for this series. Surely, Kanye West jumping into the Kendrick Lamar versus Drake beef with his “LIKE THAT REMIX” threw a wrench in any progress being made. We have reached that conclusion, partially because of a new snippet surfacing on X (formerly Twitter), not too long ago.

A Kanye West fan account, who goes by Donda Times, posted a 20 second audio clip of the original intro to his version of “LIKE THAT”. If you remember, Ye was puffing his chest out and looking to back up his bro, Kendrick. “You know we had to get The Hooligans up here, we gon’ take this p***y n**** out / Yo, Dot, I got you.” That hopped right into his verse, but in this original recording, things sounded a lot different.

Kanye West Modernized The “Celebration” Intro For “LIKE THAT REMIX”

Instead, Ye decided to work in some bars from on his sophomore album Late Registration and rerecord them. “Yeah, you know what this is It’s a celebration, b****es Grab a drink, grab a glass After that, I grab yo’ a**.” Fans were quick to notice those lyrics were the chorus to track 17, “Celebration”. In addition to this, Kanye’s verse does not immediately follow. In fact, Future’s vocals pop up instead. After hearing this evidence, we feel that this intro sounds better and adds some extra charisma to the track.

But what are your thoughts on the original intro from Kanye West on his “LIKE THAT REMIX” being the same from “Celebration”? Do you think they should have kept this, or is the final version better? Looking back, was it a smart move for Kanye to diss Drake and J. Cole? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Kanye West. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

Kanye West Allegedly Gives Adin Ross Unreleased Track, He Plays It On Stream

It’s no secret that Kanye West fans have been waiting patiently for his next release for months now, and at the time of writing it remains unclear exactly when they’ll hear it. The Chicago-born MC was expected to unveil the second part of his project with Ty Dolla Sign earlier this month, Vultures 2, which unsurprisingly fell through. According to Ty, it could arrive “any day now,” though specifics of that are still murky.

During a recent stream, however, Adin Ross claimed to have exclusively obtained Kanye West’s scrapped Travis Scott collab and played some of it for viewers. Low-quality snippets of the track, “Can U Be,” first surfaced online almost a decade ago. Ross alleged that he got the track from Ye himself, however, playing a higher quality version of the song than what’s been heard previously.

Adin Ross Claims He Got “Can U Be” From Ye Himself

“It’s cuz Ye gave it to me,” Ross said during the stream. For those who don’t recall, “Can U Be” is the same track the internet personality tried to buy last year. After spending $200K on it, he claimed it was AI. While Ross insists that the version he played recently is real, this is unconfirmed. It appears as though he might have actually been in talks with Ye in recent months, however, based on claims recently made by YesJulz.

YesJulz, Ye’s former promoter, was fired earlier this year for allegedly violating an NDA. At the end of last month, she alleged that Ye agreed to appear on Ross’ stream in exchange for $2M. Apparently, $1M was for Ye, and $1M was for charity. According to Julz, Ross allegedly failed to come up with $1M for charity, which resulted in the deal falling through. What do you think of Adin Ross previewing an alleged Kanye West track on stream? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Snoop Dogg Shouts Out Kendrick Lamar In New Snippet And Seemingly Declares Him Winner Of Drake Beef

Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar are two West Coast legends. Overall, Snoop has been instrumental in guiding Kendrick throughout his rise to fame. However, he was unfortunately dragged into Kendrick’s feud with Drake. Of course, Drake used Snoop’s AI vocals on the song “Taylor Made Freestyle.” This is a song that also featured vocals from 2Pac. Fans found it to be an incredibly corny tactic, and in the end, Drake had to take the song down due to threats from the 2Pac estate.

At this point, there is no denying that Kendrick Lamar ultimately won the feud against Drake. With songs like “Meet The Grahams” and even “Not Like Us,” the results seem pretty obvious at this stage. As for Snoop, it seems like has some new music coming out. In the video clip down below, the legendary artist can be heard rapping, and he sounds as good as ever. At one point in the track, he even shouts out Kendrick by saying “Cold cockin’, K Dottin’, ’cause I’m humblin’ n****s.”

Snoop Dogg Continues To Tease New Music

Based on those bars, one could say that he believes Kendrick just came back from humbling Drake. It could also be a reference to Kendrick’s biggest hit, “Humble.” Either way, there is no doubt that Snoop still supports K Dot. The West Coast is more united than ever right now thanks to “Not Like Us,” and that solidarity is most certainly showcased in this new snippet. Only time will tell when this song ends up being released.

Let us know what you think of this snippet from Snoop Dogg, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that this is going to be a solid track? As for the beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, who do you think came out on top? Is Kendrick really the victor? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Offset Samples R&B Classic In Incredible New Song Snippet

Offset has been quiet as of late. The Migos rapper dropped his second solo album, Set It Off, in 2023, but since then, he’s been relegated to the occasional guest verse. His relationship with Cardi B has taken up most of his media coverage. Even when he does get attention for something music-related, its not in a positive light. Offset recently pulled out of his scheduled performance at Hot 97 Summer Jam, and fans were not pleased. The rapper needs something to get back on track. And he might have just previewed it on Instagram.

Offset hopped on social media on May 10 to preview a new song. No discernable lyrics, or even a title, but the instrumental came through loud and clear. The rapper can be heard skating over a trap beat that samples the 1980s R&B classic “Love You Down.” The song, originally sung by Ready for the World, can be heard in its entirety during the beginning of Offset’s version. As the vocals reach a fever pitch, drums kick it and the sample gets filtered. It sounds great. Offset takes a melodic approach on this one, singing his rhymes instead of spitting them. It makes total sense, given the romantic subject matter of “Love You Down.”

Offset Reinterpreted The 1986 Single “Love You Down”

The snippet is a different sound for the rapper. His solo material has largely been an extension of Migos, with an emphasis on hard-hitting drums and glitchy hi-hats. Offset told Los Angeles Daily News that he looks to old school music as an inspiration when it comes to what he’s doing next. He cited another 80s icon, Michael Jackson, specifically. “I learned to appreciate the skill set that he put in, and the extra grind and the work and the practice,” he noted. “I see more for myself and creatively challenge myself to take it to the next level, even though I’m on a high level.”

There’s been little to no information on Offset’s next album. He mentioned it during a TMZ interview in December 2023, but even then, he provided a release date that came and went. “Next album dropping February,” he claimed. “[That’s an] exclusive, I only told y’all that.” Hopefully fans to get to hear the full version of this new song soon.

Chance The Rapper Previews New DJ Premier-Produced Single

Chance The Rapper is officially back. While the rapper has released a handful of singles in the past few years he seems to be finally gearing up to drop the long-awaited follow-up to his critically maligned 2019 album The Big Day. He revealed that the album is called Star Line and while details are sparse at the moment fans are mostly just happy to have something to look forward to again. The presumed first single from the record dropped last week and Chance didn’t waste any time teasing his next release.

Much like he did with his previous single Chance took to Instagram to drop a teaser for the new song in advance of its release. The track is called “Together” and the teaser also includes the reveal that DJ Premier handled production on the song. In the caption he said “next week: #starline.” That caused fans to go on a full on frenzy in the comments. They repeatedly ask if the entire album is dropping next week. But it looks like it’ll just be the next single. Elsewhere in the comments fans are hyping up both this release and its predecessor. Check out the preview he shared below.

Last month, Chance dropped his new single “Buried Alive.” The short, lyric-oriented song saw Chance explaining his feelings on fan reactions to The Big Day and being counted out by many rap fans. The track was met with overwhelming positivity from those excited to hear Chance showing off his rap skills once again. The reveal that DJ Premier worked on the newest song has fans thinking Chance may have been previously teasing potential collaborators. If that’s true, Lil Yachty, Lil Wayne, and Vic Mensa could all also appear on the forthcoming project.

What do you think of the preview of new DJ Premier-produced music that Chance The Rapper shared to Instagram? Are you looking forward to the release of his new album Star Line whenever it finally releases? Let us know in the comment section below.

New Kendrick Lamar Leak Seemingly Makes Reference To Drake’s Mom

Kendrick Lamar has been quiet since he dropped “Like That.” The aftermath of his verse has been absolutely chaotic, with diss tracks popping up seemingly every day. Regardless of who tries to clown Drake on Instagram, though, the main event remains Lamar vs Drake. They are the big two, now that J. Cole has taken himself out of competition. Drake responded to “Like That” with “Push Ups,” and now fans are waiting for K. Dot to fire back. A new leak suggests he may already be loading up his weapon.

On April 18, a snippet of an untitled song surfaced on X (formerly Twitter). The snippet is 22 seconds long, and features Lamar (or what sounds like Lamar) crooning over a soul beat. The mood is silly, as people can be heard laughing in the background, but the lyrics give reason for pause. “Sweet p***y Sandra, please come home,” the rapper sings. “Sweet p***y Sandra, please don’t go, whoa whoa.” Lamar fans may not the similarities between the snippet and “untitled 04,” which appeared on the untitled, unmastered project. The big difference here, though, is that Lamar is singing the name of Drake’s mother, Sandra Graham.

Kendrick Lamar Sings About A Woman Named Sandra

Drake is famously close with his mother, and mentions her frequently in his music. She made a cameo in the music video for “Started from the Bottom,” and even had the song “Sandra’s Rose” named after her. It’s worth noting that very little information about the leak has been uncovered. Genius has made a lyrics page under the name “Sweet P***y Sandra” (what else), and the producer credited on the song is DJ Dahi. Lamar and Dahi have collaborated on “Money Trees” and “LOYALTY,” so it makes sense they’d reunite for such a monumental a diss.

The lack of information does force one to question the leak’s validity, however. Kendrick Lamar was just linked to a diss track titled “One Shot,” and days after its release, a TikTok producer admitted he made it with AI. It’s getting harder to tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not, so a healthy amount of skepticism is good with leaks like “Sweet P***y Sandra.” If it is real, though, the battle between Lamar and Drake is going to turn into an all out war.

Normani Previews Snippet From Long-Awaited Album, But Fans Aren’t Messing With It

Overall, Normani has been an artist who fans have been dying to hear from again. The former Fifth Harmony member has been dropping loosies and singles since 2018. However, none of them have landed on an album. Her fan’s anticipation for this debut solo project has been building since that year and it makes sense. She has proven to be a formidable vocalist and someone that can definitely pull in numbers for the R&B genre. However, with all of this time in between that promise of a solo effort, it appears that fans are growing tired of waiting and waiting. Case and point are the reactions that Normani has received for her new snippet.

The Neighborhood Talk reshared a clip from Normani previewing some music from Dopamine. The lyrics of, “Bling bling blaow,” along with the club-friendly beat are turning a lot of people off. One fan comments, “Bling bling who?!?!? Normani babe we trying but cmon.” Another chimes in, “This would’ve been fire in 2008.” Additionally, someone else goes, “At this age, I am not singing out bling bling blou… I’m just not doing it.”

It seems like the last time fans were truly excited about Dopamine was when she announced that title and its accompanying artwork. That happened back in February of this year on her Instagram. “Cryingg typing this rn. DOPAMINE THE ALBUM.” However, Normani never included the release date and still did not in March when fans were reaching out asking for some other news on the album.

What are your thoughts on this new snippet from Normani’s upcoming album? Do you disagree with the majority’s reaction to the song, why or why not?
