Desiigner Taps A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie For “PMR”

Desiigner’s prepared for a major comeback, and this time, he brought along A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie with him. The Brooklyn-bred star came through with his latest single this week titled, “PMR.” With assistance from A Boogie, he provides a spacey banger that describes the good life. Desiigner and A Boogie’s short collab find them reflecting on sex, drugs, and rap as they reap the benefits of fame. While A Boogie brings out a calmer version of Desiigner, the “Panda” rapper pulls out high energy from the Highbridge rapper.

Desiigner’s slowly gearing up to make his official comeback to the rap game. Last year, the rapper began sharing a slew of singles in anticipation of his next project, which seems like it’ll have some solid collaborations on it at this point. Prior to releasing “Bigger and Bigger,” he teamed up with Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi for their joint effort, “Kilo.” Prior to that, he dropped off “My Brodie” and “Star In The Room” within weeks of each other.

Desiigner Ramps Up For New Album

We caught up with Desiigner in late 2022 following the release of “Bigger And Bigger.” The rapper confirmed his next project will be titled, New Color, and expects to drop it sometime this year. “New Color. The new album’s called New Color. I’m working on it right now. It’s fire,” he said at the time, though he confirmed that it was still a work in progress. “I got some features on it already. It’s lit. I’m just putting it together. Shout out to a couple of great producers, like Rich Skillz, ATL [Jacob]. You know what I’m saying, people like that.”

The upcoming projet from Desiigner will mark an interesting return to the fold following his departure from G.O.O.D Music. The former Ye protegé called out the label in the past and made it clear that he wasn’t happy how things panned out, despite giving Yeezy one of his biggest songs. New Colors will certainly be one of those make-or-break moments but “PMR” is a strong indication that he’ll have a grip on the clubs.

Rory Taps Jay Electronica & Reggie For New Single “Enough”

Rory Farrell made his name through his takes and dry humor on The Joe Budden podcast alongside Mal, though he’s expanding his wings beyond media. This week, the podcast host and manager of Emotional Oranges delivered his second single, “Enough” ft. Jay Electronica and Reggie. His R&B sensibilities take front and center as Reggie’s soothing vocals strike across the record with hazy melodies. As he reminisces about heartbreak and failed relationships, Jay Elec comes through with a verse to seal the deal. Elec’s vivid lyricism digs deep into the emotional weight of failed relationships with sharp wordplay.

The visualizer for Rory’s new single also showcases his acting chops. As Jay Elec and Reggie deliver a smooth jam dedicated to emotional wounds, Rory finds himself in his ex’s home, reminiscing about the good times. He dances with their dog while pouring himself a glass of wine. Eventually, his ex and her new man enter the room as he’s catching a vibe, leading to peak awkwardness. However, Rory eventually wakes up in a bathtub fully clothed, only to realize that it was just a dream.

Jay Electronica & Reggie Flesh Out Rory Farrell’s Artistic Vision

Rory Farrell’s latest effort comes after unloading his debut single, “I Want You But You’ll Never Know” featuring Shelley fka Dram and Alex Isley. The smooth record kicked off the campaign for his forthcoming debut album back in July, though he hasn’t provided an update on it yet. Still, subsequent releases including “Don’t Go” ft. Pink $weats and Sinhead Harnett, a fleshed-out thematic statement that will be apparent on Rory’s upcoming album.

“So much of this album came from conversations we was just having in the studio,” Rory said on a video from his YouTube page. “It wasn’t really like writing sessions where it was like, ‘Alright let’s just fuckin’ sit and do topics.’ We was just having real man-to-man, woman-to-woman type of conversations.” We’re excited to hear what he has in store. Hopefully, a release date comes soon. Check the song above.

6lack Shares New Single “Fatal Attraction” Ahead Of New Album

6lack is finally inching toward his next studio album, titled, Since I Have a Lover. We’ve been at the edge of our seats waiting for his next project, especially since it’s been nearly four years since East Atlanta Love Letter. Though his last album emerged shortly after the success of his platinum-certified, Free 6lack, he’s taken his time with this one. With the exception of 6pc Hot EP, he hasn’t released much music. However, he’s coming just in time for the spring.

Over the course of the past few weeks, he’s unloaded a handful of singles in anticipation of Since I Have A Lover. After plastering Billboards across the A with the album’s acronyms, he dropped the titular track. Then, he shared “A Letter To My Fans” and “Talkback.” Though he hasn’t dropped the tracklist yet, the past two singles indicate that he has something incredibly special for us when Since I Have A Lover arrives on March 24th.

6lack Shares A Tragic Love Story On “Fatal Attraction”

This week, 6lack shared his latest record, “Fatal Attraction.” The ATL singer gets into his rap-sing bag on this one as he flows effortlessly over production handled by Dos Dias, Dylan Wiggins, Fwdslxsh, and Khris Reddick. As the soft keys strike, he dives into a tale of love and heartbreak – the end of a honeymoon phase and the highs and lows of any relationship.

With 6lack’s new album officially due out next Friday, it feels like “Fatal Attraction” could be his final offering before the project’s release. However, we suspect that a tracklist will come shortly. Perhaps, we’ll see him collaborate with a few of his LVRN labelmates. For now, we’ll have “Fatal Attraction” on repeat. Check his new song above and sound off in the comments with your thoughts. Do you think 6lack will have the R&B album of the year with Since I Have A Lover?

India Royale Confirms She’s Single, Lil Durk Says He Wants One More Son

Lil Durk and India Royale continued their relationship woes this week, with the latter confirming she’s single and the former saying he wants one more son. Moreover, social media responded strongly to these revelations, especially considering Durk’s latest actions. For those not caught up, the Chicago rapper recently threatened people in India Royale’s comments sections, indicating that he wants to get her back. After many started to speculate online that the two might not be split at all, Royale responded to these claims on Twitter. Bluntly, she said that she’s been single for a while at this point.

“Now who said she was single?” one Twitter user expressed. “It was never confirmed that they broke up or even still together.” Then, India herself came in to clarify. “Im very much single,” she replied. “Been, been.” On his end, Durkio came through with a pretty odd, potentially pointed, and probably intentional message concerning his relationships. “I want one more son then I’m done,” he wrote on his Instagram story. “Idk when or how but I do.” After plenty of back and forth and speculation, it seems that the two still aren’t on exactly the same page.

India Royale Confirms She’s Single

Also, these comments come amid The Voice’s alleged baby mama blasting him in an Instagram rant. “How many facts y’all want don’t worry I’m going live!” Travonna wrote on her Instagram story. “Family on board but you absent tf I had a baby by Durk not nobody else. But you tell everybody check in then ghost my son, I’m fed tf up. Stop f***in sayin get a lawyer go to court. It’s not the f***in easy state to state I’m sending a direct message to who I had a baby with!”

“You talking about having another son when you haven’t done S**T for OUR SON yet like you promised! So since you love being internet let’s be internet then cause I’ve been respectful to you and your family long enough! The attention you looking for you getting it today I’m sick and tired of your bozo clown a** antics!” Given all these claims and moving pieces, return to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Durk and India Royale.

Lola Brooke Gets “So DISRESPECTFUL” On Her New Single

Lola Brooke is standing out among the crowd of female rappers who’ve emerged over the past few years. Though she hasn’t delivered a debut project yet, she’s easily the most exciting new artist out of New York right now. The Brooklyn native catapulted off of the viral success of her single, “Don’t Play With It,” a song that earned her co-signs from Cardi B, Kim Kardashian, Future, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and many others. However, fans have anticipated what she has up her sleeve next.

The “On My Mind” rapper remained active as she ended 2023 on a high note. As fans anticipated new music, she proved that she could rap alongside her peers with ease. At the end of January, Flo Milli called on the Brooklyn star to appear on the remix of “Conceited,” alongside Maiya The Don. Once again, Lola Brooke made it clear that she’s a fierce lyricist and competitor every single time she steps into the booth. She raps like she has something to prove every single time.

Lola Brooke – So Disrespectful

Lola Brooke continues to ascend in the rap game but this time, she’s getting “so DISRESPECTFUL.” The rapper unveiled her new single this morning, which boasts production from Gyard and Shrarif “Reefa” Slater who provide an eerie yet bouncing vibe. Brooke’s gruff voice delivers a menacing touch, complementing the equally ominous production. More importantly, Brooke is coming with punchline after punchline that will have crowds screaming these lyrics right back at her next show.

Despite the amount of hype around her name, Brooke hasn’t confirmed a release date for her next project. When we caught up with her in December, she confirmed the working title is currently Little Big Momma, though she didn’t know if it would be an EP or an album. However, she said that she wants to make sure her fans are happy. “That’s why I’m still working now so that I can give my fans,” she said. “They deserve everything but I need my fans to tell me what they need for me. It’s there, but it’s not all the way there yet. I need to still learn them as well as they learn me.” Check her new single above.

Meyhem Lauren, DJ Muggs & Madlib Collide On “Fresh Out The Water”

Meyhem Lauren’s cooking up something serious these days. The Queens-bred rapper has delivered some incredible records in recent times, which felt like a strong comeback following a successful venture on television. The rapper joined Action Bronson on Fuck, That’s Delicious but that appeared to open the gates for more food-related ventures. His YouTube channel, for instance, finds him exploring some of his favorite recipes while adding his own twist to them.

However, he hasn’t forgotten about his fans, who are always here for new music. Last year, he emerged with his latest body of work, Black Vladimir. The album, a collaborative effort alongside Griselda go-to Daringer, brought included 15 songs in total while Meyhem collided with beastly MCs, like Westside Gunn, Conway, Flee Lord, and more. However, it looks like the late August project was a taste of what he has in store moving forward.

Meyhem Lauren – Fresh Out The Water ft. Madlib and DJ Muggs

While we saw with Meyhem Lauren could do when he locks in with one producer, his next project will have two legendary producers handling the beats. This week, he slid through with the first single off of his upcoming joint effort with Madlib and DJ Muggs, “Fresh Out The Water.” The hypnotic vocal sample and crispy drums are a fusion of Madlib and Muggs’ signature styles while Lauren doesn’t hold back. “The system tried to turn us to workers so they could jerk us/  Opponents look for open opportunities to merk us,” he raps on the record.

Though he hasn’t laid down a release date for the project, “Fresh Out The Water” is a promising sign of what’s to come. Madlib and Muggs have yet to work together on a project in the past, so it feels as though Meyhem Lauren has all the pieces in place for a strong Album Of The Year contender. We’ll keep you posted on any more information regarding the forthcoming project. For now, press play on the single above and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

DJ Drama Gears Up For New Album With Lil Baby & A Boogie On “HO4ME”

DJ Drama’s gone from one of the most trusted DJs in hip-hop to an extremely successful executive with Generation Now. Still, Drama’s musical output hasn’t necessarily slowed down. During the past two years, there has been a huge influx of Gangsta Grillz tapes, marking an official resurgence of the iconic mixtape series. However, it seems as though Drama isn’t solely looking to host tapes but release his own album in the near future.

DJ Drama has his own projects in the works. In the midst of releasing Gangsta Grillz tapes with Kash Doll and French Montana since the beginning of the year, he’s also hinted at dropping his follow-up to Quality Street Music 2. He hasn’t unveiled much information regarding a release date but it’s apparent that he’s using his resources in the music industry to his full advantage. He’s hinted at collabs alongside Roddy Ricch, and other star artists.

DJ Drama – “HO4ME” Ft. Lil Baby & A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

Drama came through with some new heat alongside Lil Baby and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. The Philadelphia native delivered, “HO4ME” this morning. It’s a smooth vibe that pulls from Baby and A Boogie’s strengths. Drama brings Baby and Boogie together over smooth, R&B-centric production handled by AJ Ruined By Record, Fivecrzy, Kookup, and T Kee. Baby and Boogie’s auto-tuned melodies merge well for an anthem that would’ve been quite fitting for Valentine’s Day if it dropped earlier this week.

“HO4ME” is set to appear on Drama’s upcoming album, I’m Really Like That. Hopefully, we see a release date for the project soon. People have been particularly excited about the effort after he hinted at the features that will appear on the album. For now, we’ll just have to keep “HO4ME” on rotation. Check the single out above and sound off with your comments about the new single.

Khloé Kardashian Asks “Who Has Time For A Man?” Amid Tristan Thompson Reconciliation Rumours

In the past, Khloé Kardashian has expressed a lack of interest in romantically reconciling with her baby daddy, Tristan Thompson. The NBA player has previously committed a number of adulterous acts while dating the California native. Still, she’s been by his side following the death of his mother, Andrea Thompson, early last month.

Due to her undeniably caring nature, some fans have speculated that the Canadian’s recent loss will push him and the mother of two back together. They spent some time in Ontario to arrange a funeral with other Kardashian-Jenner clan members and Drake. Since then, it’s been reported that Thompson purchased a house just two miles from his ex.

As Page Six notes, the reunion rumours only circulated faster thanks to an interesting post on the Good American founder’s Story last week. “A woman that found peace instead of revenge can never be bothered,” the quote in question says. While the gossip continues to spread, Kardashian has made it known that she’s not interested in dating on Twitter.

“Who has time for a man lol? I have a 6-month-old baby and [my daughter] True and I are sickly codependent on one another. Ha! I secretly love it,” she wrote during a Q&A with followers early on Monday (February 6). “No but for real… No man right now… He’s in my prayers too ha!”

A source close to the former couple insists that they’re not romantically involved again. The last time they were working on their relationship was when Thompson met Maralee Nichols. He subsequently welcomed his fourth child with her following their hookup gone wrong. For her part, Khloé was briefly linked to a private equity investor last summer. Later on, she also made headlines with 365 Days actor Michele Morrone.

Before she met Thompson, Kardashian was previously in an equally as tumultuous relationship with Lamar Odom. Since their divorce was finalized several years ago, the former NBA player has been candid about his wrongdoings in their marriage. Specifically, he admits that he’s embarrassed about past acts of infidelity.

During a recent interview, the 43-year-old recalled a time when his then-wife walked in on him with another woman in a hotel room. According to Odom’s account, the reality starlet went on to “beat [the] bitch ass,” though no charges were pressed as a result of the altercation. Read all about that drama here, and check back later for more pop culture news.

Kes Shares New Single, “Honey Comb”

Kes has shared a new single titled, “Honey Comb,” featuring Jamaica’s Busy Signal and Haiti’s Michaël Brun. The dancehall-inspired track premiered on BBC1Xtra with Seani B on Thursday night. The release of the song comes as Busy Signal and Michaël Brun prepare to join Kes at IzWE Festival. They’ll be performing on Tuesday, February 14th at Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad.

“Honey Comb” is produced by Brun, whom Kes previously worked with for 2022’s “Liki Tiki.” It arrives ahead of the group’s upcoming LP, Man With No Door. The project is releasing later this year on Ineffable Records.

Other performers set to appear at IzWE Festival include Shaggy, Nailah Blackman, Olatunji, Iwer George, Erphaan Alves, Mical Teja, Viking Ding Dong, Rikki Jai, and Ravi B, among others. Shaggy recently collaborated with Kes on the track, “Mood,” which they released earlier this year. In addition to that collaboration, Kes has released numerous other singles as of late, including “Feelin It,” with Patrice Roberts, “Mental Day,” “Jub Jub” and “Fuh Spite.”

“For the concert, I tried my very best to expand the sound beyond the soca,” said Kes frontman Kees Dieffenthaller. He is also known individually as Kes. “I want to carry people through a bit of the journey from where we came.”

Kes first launched the IzWE festival back in 2021. They billed the event as a series of five, socially-distanced concerts, due to COVID-19, during what would have been Carnival Week of that year. In the two years since, they have brought IzWE to New York City and Toronto, where thousands of fans came out to see them. Since officially forming in 2005, Kes have become one of Trinidad & Tobago’s most popular and celebrated musical acts. They’ve collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Wizkid, and Major Lazer, as well as other iconic artists. Check out Kes’ latest single, “Honey Comb,” featuring Busy Signal and Michaël Brun below.
