The Cardi B and Nicki Minaj feud will seemingly never reach a conclusion, even when one of the two is just living life. Cardi just dropped a maternity shoot, but one of the pictures had “homesick pedophile” spraypainted in the background, and fans are wondering if it was the latest dig at Nicki Minaj.
The entire Real Housewives multiverse is filled with exaggerated feuds between castmates. Usually the beefs remain within the Bravo network family. However, thanks to “Lace It” rapper Eminem’s trademark dispute filing in February againstPotomac branch members Giselle Bryant and Robyn Dixon, he’s been reluctantly introduced to the stars’ feisty nature.
Eminem is fighting to block the duo’s protection over their podcast name, Reasonably Shady. Now the legal battle has escalated from a simple intellectual property mix-up to a full-on protective order request. Bryant and Dixon’s lawyer, Andrea Evans, has responded to Eminem’s legal maneuver via a statement in People.
“It seems obvious to us that if you file a lawsuit, you should be made available to be deposed,” wrote Evans. “[We’d] like to question Mathers at least about his use of the expressions Slim Shady and Shady. It’s unclear to us that Mathers can be the owner of the trademarks and file this suit against our clients, but he will not make himself available to be deposed.”
As a response to the blockage in October, the pair’s legal team requested that Eminem make himself available for questioning to explain why he felt the Reasonably Shady podcast could be seen as an extension of his Shady enterprise. Eminem reportedly declined, stating it would become “unduly burdensome,” suggesting others, including his manager, Paul Rosenberg, speak on his behalf.
Bryant and Dixon’s representatives weren’t okay with this alternative. The case is moving forward, and thus the saga continues.
Eminem’s had his fair share of legal battles over the years, but his latest might be one of his most bizarre yet. Moreover, he sought to block a trademark application from Real Housewives guests Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon for their podcast Reasonably Shady, as it conflicts with his Slim Shady alter ego. However, it seems like Marshall Mathers wants only his legal team to handle this, as when the Real Housewives of Potomac stars filed to deposition him, he motioned for a protective order against it. This is because he apparently has little information about this legal process and its context, to which Bryant and Dixon responded to via their lawyer, Andrea Evans.
“It seems obvious to us that if you file a lawsuit, you should be made available to be deposed,” she told PEOPLE of Eminem’s legal filing. “[We would like to question Mathers at least about his use of the expressions Slim Shady and Shady. It’s unclear to us that Mathers can be the owner of the trademarks and file this suit against our clients but he will not make himself available to be deposed.“
“Opposer’s Motion to Compel the deposition of Mathers is also premature and unwarranted,” Eminem’s lawyer expressed. “Despite Opposer’s expression that the deposition would be both duplicative and unduly burdensome given Mathers’ limited knowledge of the subjects at issue, his absence of unique knowledge of the subjects at issue and others’ superior knowledge of said issues, Applicants have made no attempt to obtain the discovery they seek via more convenient and less burdensome means.
“Opposer has offered to produce three other individuals having equal and superior knowledge to Mathers on the relevant topics,” he went on. “However, without making any attempt to assess whether they will be able to obtain the relevant information from said individuals, and having taken no depositions to date, Applicants remain insistent on deposing Mathers, a high-level and removed decision maker. Accordingly, Applicants’ Motion to Compel should be denied. Opposer asks this Board to issue a protective order precluding the deposition of Marshall Mathers III.” For more news and the latest updates on Eminem, come back to HNHH.
Kim Kardashian has always been a woman who speaks her mind, even during her relationship with Kanye West. Now that the couple has split, the 43-year-old continues to use social media to share her outfits, opinions, family, and more as she remains on the hunt for new love. Elsewhere, the rapper’s new wife, Bianca Censori remains as quiet as a mouse while she and Ye navigate the ups and downs of their relationship.
They’ve been exploring Dubai together for the past few weeks, but ahead of the arrival of his highly anticipated album with Ty Dolla Sign, Censori and her man are back in America. Like countless other celebs, they’ve been enjoying the annual Art Basel festivities in Miami, where the Australian is becoming bolder than ever before with her fashion choices. She left little to the imagination over the weekend when out with West, and now, she’s making headlines for covering her curves with little more than a stuffed white cat.
Kim Kardashian Doesn’t Do Well With Felines, Meanwhile, Bianca Censori is Wearing Them
As DailyMail notes, this might be a dig at the Yeezy founder’s first wife, as it wasn’t so long ago that she was attacked by a famous feline on The Kardashians. While preparing for the Met Gala, the mother of four met up with the late Karl Lagerfeld’s beautiful cat, Choupette, though she wasn’t as fond of Kim as her loyal followers are.
Even if there is there are still hard feelings between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian after their divorce, the reality starlet certainly knows how to be mature about them. Earlier this month, she warmly thanked the designer of her ex-husband’s famous College Dropout bear mascot, who charitably gave Kimye’s children vintage collectables from his time working with the rapper rather than selling them for millions. Read more about that below, and since we can’t share them on HNHH, you can see photos of Bianca Censori’s cat outfit when you click the Via at the bottom of the page.
Ez Mil made the whole rap game turn their heads when Eminem and Dr. Dresigned him to Aftermath, Interscope, and Shady. Moreover, the Filipino-American MC is the first artist to have done so since 50 Cent back in 2002, which already sets up high expectations. Fortunately, if you’re a fan of any of these artists, you’re probably going to like what the first release after his signing, DU4LI7Y: REDUX has to offer. Across 11 tracks, Ez showcases a lot of lyrical dexterity, narrative prowess, catchy melodic writing, and crisp but grounded instrumentals. If you hadn’t heard of this new talent yet, then let this be your first taste of someone that could rise to great heights.
Furthermore, that potential is based on pretty much every aspect of songwriting and production here. In addition, it has the additional cultural component of representing his heritage, switching between rapping in English and Tagalog on songs like “27 Bodies,” and he’s equally as fiery with both. Sometimes, the production plays with more contemporary sounds, whereas others tackle dramatic and impactful boom-bap and more classic sounds. Lyrically, Ez Mil focuses a lot on not just the rap game and his come-up, but also social issues affecting his home country and beyond. With plenty of versatile flows, deliveries, and melodic approaches, the 25-year-old lays the foundation for any style he wants to expand upon.
Meanwhile, it was quite a smart choice to have “Realest” with Eminem come out before this project to build up a lot of hype. While it’s definitely a standout here for the feature alone, it’s not even close to the highest peaks on DU4LI7Y: REDUX. Here’s hoping that we continue to see more greatness from this promising young talent in the future. If you haven’t heard this album yet, find it on your preferred streaming service and check out the tracklist below. Also, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Ez Mil and more great hip-hop each week.

Eminem’s Shady Records is one of the most iconic labels in the history of hip hop. Some of the biggest releases from the label include monumental singles and albums from 50 Cent and Slim Shady himself. The imprint, founded in 1999 and distributed by Interscope, Polydor (UK) and Universal Music Group (International) has gone through many transformations over the years. Its roster has drastically changed since its inception, but Eminem has repeatedly shown that he has a knack for recognizing talent. In fact, Shady just signed its most recent addition to the label with 25-year-old rapper Ez Mil. HotNewHipHop previously covered the complete history of Shady Records back in 2019. The acclaimed label has since updated itself, including the signing of Ez Mil.
Part one of the label’s history covered the first iteration of Shady Records, spanning from 2000 to 2003. Part two detailed the rest of the Shady Records story from 2003 to the present 2019, including the Shady “2.0” era. From the early days of 50 Cent and D12 to the united movement of Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf, Eminem has helped talented rappers grow artistically and has supported their successes. While this current era of Shady Records may not reach the commercial peak that it achieved in the 2000s, the imprint’s roster has offered a lot of music recently. Today, we continue to look at the complete history of Eminem’s Shady Records, spanning from 2019 to the present.
A Post-2.0 Shady
The Shady 2.0 era came to an end when Slaughterhouse officially disbanded in 2018, following a series of solo ventures, disputes with the label, and shelving their Glass House album. Eminem had recently signed Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Westside Boogie, who was going simply by Boogie at the time. The new roster stood behind Eminem during his BET freestyle where he spoke out against Donald Trump. While Gunn, Conway, and Boogie all signed with Shady Records in 2017, their output on the label was sparse until 2019. Westside Gunn and Conway had only released the standalone single, “Machine Gun Black” back in 2017 as Hall N Nash, with Eminem talking in the intro. However, they continued to unveil a number of releases outside of the label.
Following the poor reception of Revival back in 2017, Eminem released his tenth studio album, Kamikaze in 2018. The album was released without any prior announcement. On Kamikaze, he snapped back at critics of Revival and those who spoke ill of him, including journalists and artists alike. Kamikaze notably included “Venom,” from the soundtrack of the superhero film. Additionally, Eminem sent shots back at Machine Gun Kelly, leading to an exchange of diss tracks between the two. He also confirmed the end of D12 on the song “Stepping Stone.” While not regarded among his all-time best works, Kamikaze was better received than Revival, marking a new era for Eminem and Shady Records.
Riding the momentum of Kamikaze, the brand new Shady Records roster started to roll out their first offerings. At the start of 2019, Westside Boogie released his debut studio album, Everythings For Sale via Shady Records and Interscope, featuring Eminem on the song “Rainy Days.” Not long after, Yelawolf released his fifth album, Trunk Muzik 3. His fourth release with Shady Records, Trunk Muzik 3 fulfilled his contractual obligations and he parted ways with the label.
That same year, Griselda released their debut collaborative album and first major label offering, WWCD. Eminem featured on “Bang,” a track originally intended as a single for Conway’s debut album on Shady Records. While Benny the Butcher never signed with the label, his contributions to WWCD as a member of Griselda counted towards Westside Gunn and Conway’s contractual requirements. After the release of WWCD, Griselda’s time on the label was short-lived.
Shady Records started the new decade strong with Eminem releasing Music To Be Murdered By at the start of 2020. It was yet another album that had not been announced prior, taking listeners by surprise. His eleventh album featured the likes of Young M.A., Don Toliver, Anderson .Paak, and a posthumous Juice WRLD appearance. Singers like Ed Sheeran and Skylar Grey also contributed to the album. Furthermore, Music to be Murdered By notably featured rap legends like Royce Da 5’9”, Black Thought, Q-Tip, and even a mini Slaughterhouse reunion minus Joe Budden. The album was warmly received by fans and critics.
In December 2020, Eminem came back with a deluxe album. Music to be Murdered By – Side B featured sixteen additional songs. That same year, Westside Gunn delivered his solo offering for Shady Records and third album of 2020, titled Who Made The Sunshine. Much like WWCD, Who Made The Sunshine was primarily produced by Daringer and Beat Butcha, who forged their instrumentals without sampling. The album was Gunn’s only solo release for the label, departing Shady after its release.
Latest Releases
Shortly after Westside Gunn’s exit, Eminem signed Atlanta rapper Grip to Shady Records in 2021. Later that year, Grip released his Shady debut, I Died For This?!, featuring Eminem on the song “Walkthrough.” The following year saw the official departure of Griselda from Shady as Conway the Machine released his long-awaited album, God Don’t Make Mistakes. Also in 2022, Westside Boogie dropped More Black Superheroes, his second release on the label.
With its roster constantly changing within the past five years, it makes one wonder about what’s next for Shady Records. With Griselda off the label and Grip focusing on independent endeavors, Eminem has been steering his own ship with the help of Westside Boogie. However, the future of Shady Records has drawn excitement as Eminem recently signed Filipino-American rapper Ez Mil to the label. The Las Vegas-based artist has been active since 2020, releasing three albums including 2022’s DU4LI7Y on Virgin Music. While we wait for Ez Mil’s Shady debut, only time will tell what the future holds for Eminem’s historic record label.
In our modern digital age, Instagram followers are as good as dollars. For those lucky enough to be born with beauty, making money on social media has become a viable career option, making it an incredibly competitive market. For some time, the most followed woman on the platform has been Kylie Jenner, who’s spent nearly her entire life in the spotlight. Recently, however, she was surpassed by Disney channel alum Selena Gomez, seemingly leading to some drama between the two.
After the Rare Beauty founder surpassed the reality star, internet sleuths kept an eagle eye out for a reaction from Jenner. After Gomez posted about accidentally over laminating her eyebrows online, some detectives thought they found it in the form of the mother of two showing off her own brows on her Story. The gossip began circulating rapidly online. As a result, accusations from fans became so intense that both women shut down the accusations.
Did Kylie Shade Selena?
On TikTok, Jenner responded to a creator reporting on the alleged feud. “This is reaching,” she wrote earlier this month. “No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! [You] guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly.” Gomez got wind of her alleged enemies’ comments and also chimed in. “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”
Despite their best efforts to destroy the drama, internet trolls are continuing to seek out signs of trouble. A few days ago, many of them noted that the “Lose You To Love Me” songstress has been absent from some apps since February 22. In wake of all the hateful energy brooding around her and Jenner, Gomez told fans she had plans to take a few days off from social media to recoup.
Instagram’s Reigning Queen
As DailyMail notes, it was hitting the 381M follower mark on IG that pushed the actress past her fellow makeup mogul. Jenner previously had 380M but has since dropped to 379M in the days following her “shady” post. Gomez, on the other hand, has continued to steadily grow and now has 389M followers cheering her on. 2023 is still in its early stages, but it’s already exciting to see new artists come up in the scene. California-based artist Shady Blu just dropped “Topic of Discussion” with Babyface Ray, after last year’s breakout single “Jealousy.” Moreover, she delivered a confident and uniquely animated performance over a glistening beat.
Back in 2021, Blu signed to MixedByAli’s label NoName Recordings, in partnership with Interscope. While she’s just getting started in the industry, Ali heard her music and has worked with her a lot since then. Moreover, some of his most notable credits include ScHoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, and Nipsey Hussle. What’s more is that West Coast legendSnoop Dogg gave Blu a cosign just about a week ago.
Given all that, Shady is a name to watch out for in the coming months, if not years given her already-impressive output. Moreover on this track, she switches effortlessly from low-key, hushed deliveries and expressive, warmly vocal runs. Alongside one of Detroit’s most exciting spitters working today, she keeps up that energy with ease.
Furthermore, the Long Beach native will drop her debut EP Topic of Discussion on February 6th. Moreover, the project is executive produced by MixedByAli and will feature compelling blends of hip-hop and R&B. Even with this one track, that description seems fitting. “Topic of Discussion” features a sharp but quick rhythm that contrasts engagingly with the shimmery, bright keys in the background. Even though the beat is slightly odd given that contrast, Blu’s expressive vocals blend with it to create something charming.
Still, what did you think of “Topic of Discussion” from Shady Blu and Babyface Ray? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments and peep some quotable lines down below. Also, if you haven’t heard the track yet, you can find it on your preferred streaming service and check out the music video below. As always, stay tuned to HNHH for the best new releases of the week.
Quotable Lyrics
Run it, run it, run it up, Too busy jiggin’ on a b***h, I never worried about her, Grindin’ ’til the sun is up, Turned it up, wake the city up
