“SkeeYee” rapper Sexyy Red has been making a name for herself with her viral hit, but over the weekend, a brawl broke out at one of her performances and the meleé didn’t even phase the young St. Louis rapstress.

Numerous women were involved in a fight in the crowd, with one of the women throwing haymakers even as her wig goes flying off. Despite the chaos in the crowd, Red continued her show, seemingly ignoring the fight and continued her show.

Sexyy Red & Jhene Aiko Are Surprisingly Similar, Music Lovers Point Out

As the age-old saying goes, there’s nothing new under the sun. Try as they might to craft unique images for themselves, many artists are simply a product of those who came before them, with a sprinkle of their own magic mixed in. Even some of those making music today are comparable to each other, whether they’re operating in the same genre or not. According to Twitter users, Sexyy Red and Jhene Aiko are two such performers, largely due to the NSFW nature of their lyrics.

“Seen an [Instagram] Story that said, ‘I’m a Jhene Aiko type of girl, not a Sexyy Red girl,’” one person tweeted this past week. “I almost replied, ‘Diversify your portfolio,’ but I ain’t wanna get blocked 😂😂😂,” they continued. Before long, a debate broke out on the app regarding how similar the two recording artists actually are. “There is very very very very little difference between the music Jhene Aiko has written and Sexyy Red’s content,” someone expressed. As receipts, they added screenshots of lyrics from the former’s “On the Way” featuring Mila J and the latter’s “Pound Town.”

Sexyy Red and Jhene Aiko Are More Similar Than We Thought

The redhead is obviously much more direct in her delivery, but it’s hard to dispute that she and the mother of two are sending out the same messages. “People think Jhene is so wholesome because she’s tiny and has a light, airy voice,” another user speculated.

“That lady made a video with a bunch of Crips and at least one Blood to threaten her ex-husband,” they pointed out. “She also sings ‘P*$$Y Fairy.’ Please be for real.” Despite her gentle demeanour distracting us for years, it seems the internet is remembering the truth of Aiko’s wild past.

Nas, Lil Wayne, Doja Cat & Many More Join Our Best “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update Yet

This week had a lot of amazing new hip-hop to cover, no matter what styles of the genre you’re a fan of. Moreover, our Fire Emoji playlist update is here to represent the best of the best, and it’s surprising just how much variety this week held. Starting us off is the final album from Nas and Hit-Boy, Magic 3, which is quite varied and versatile in its own right. We chose to point out “Never Die” featuring the legendary Lil Wayne, which is far from the only excellent lyrical display on this playlist. “The Caliphate” from Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, and The Alchemist is a woozy, dense, and perfectly paced cut of slow but hypnotizing abstract hip-hop with great bar work.

In addition, Doja Cat released yet another single ahead of her highly anticipated album Scarlet dropping very soon. With “Balut,” she had fans clamoring for her to join Griselda based on her flows and the grimy instrumental of choice (which is funny because Westside Gunn already shot his shot with her). This Fire Emoji update also features the latest offering from Sexyy Red, one of the most in-demand rappers today. Lil Durk cooked up an emphatic verse on “Hellcats SRTs 2,” which further roots the original in a drill aesthetic.

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist

What ended up being the most slept-on track on Fire Emoji that you shouldn’t miss out on is from Gucci Mane’s newest signee. Brezden released “BRRR B” featuring Guwop, and in addition to a couple of sharp bars and fast-moving beats, it might be the start of an interesting career to watch considering his origin. Gucci’s got an album on the way, and so does Offset, who dropped his dramatic and sonically progressive single “FAN” this week, too. It swaps between auto-tuned melodies and aggressive flows, which is a relatively unexplored area for the Georgia native.

Finally, closing out our playlist update are two trunk-knockers: “ACT UP” by Killer Mike and Young Nudy and “SKED” by Denzel Curry and Kenny Mason. They’re both energetic trap cuts, whether it’s because of the horns on the first or the buzzing bass on the second. One thing’s for sure: they all bring the bars and amazing lyrical performances. With all this heat in mind, go check out our Fire Emoji playlist above and stay up to date on HNHH for more great releases each week.

The reports revealed that two unnamed individuals were struck, and one was ultimately pronounced dead on the scene by local officials. “I send my condolences to the family of the man who lost his life and prayers up for the person who was wounded. But I gotta address the rumors that it happened at my video shoot because shit is not true at all. To be clear it happened at a gas station across the street from my video set. Florida Highway Patrol and Broward County Sheriff confirmed that the shooting wasn’t on my set. [I’m] secure, and thanks to my production team getting all the paperwork right and working with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to hire off-duty’s to make sure everyone was safe. We finished the shoot at a different location, and everyone from our set went home safely. Period. I’m just trying to work hard, make good music, and connect with my fans. Please don’t try to twist narratives and put this on a b*tch.”

Sexyy Red & Lil Durk’s ‘Hellcats SRTs 2’ Single Is A Fast-Paced Race Between The Midwest’s Biggest Rapper Stars

When St. Louis rapper Sexyy Red left her favorite destination spot, “Pound Town,” the self-proclaimed hood’s hottest princess did so in style. For Red, that means in the latest muscle car. On her new track “Hellcats SRTs 2,” she’s joined by Lil Durk as they skirt off into the rap’s fast-paced release streets. In August, the pair teased the collaboration, and after weeks of waiting, it’s finally here.

The link-up between the two Midwest natives is precisely what you’d envision for the single. Sexyy’s inspiration behind the track is evident as she rapped, “Bad b*tches, we like fast cars / We like n****s that sell drugs with fast cars,” in the song’s introduction.

Durk added his thoughts on hip-hop’s restored interest in American-made vehicles and how it helps him pull in lovers. “C-H-I-C-A-G-O, go, b*tch we from the ‘Raq / Smoke before we f*ck in the hotel, got my deposit snatched / Nah, this ain’t no Scat, or no Cat, b*tch, this just a Track’ / Suck it while I’m drivin’, wig for her, I just hold it back / Can’t be seen when I pull up, I f*cked your friend, her sheisty ass / Vanish mode, I did that for a reason, he gon’ beat her ass,” rapped Durk.

The dynamic duo is off to the races as soon as the track starts, and they refuse to slow down until the track concludes.

As A Valentine’s Day Gesture, Sexyy Red’s First Boyfriend Robbed Someone For Her, And She Thought It Was ‘So Sweet’

Sexyy Red will embarking on her Hood Hottest Princess Tour next month, but first, the St. Louis rapper took a trip down memory lane with Montreality.

In a 13-minute video posted to YouTube on Tuesday, September 12, Sexyy Red recalled her childhood, even reluctantly reliving her terrible prom and more fondly remembering a unique romantic gesture.

“I spent a lot on my dress,” she said. “I ran for prom queen. I didn’t win because I was bad, and they tried to make me write an essay to let me run. I was bad. I was getting suspended and stuff, skipping school. I wasn’t doing no work, for real, and then I tried to come run for prom. They was like, ‘You ain’t even been here! How you trying to run?’ […] When I did go, the dress that I got made, it was so ugly. I was crying the day of prom. The lady thought she did that. She showed me the dress. I just started crying. I’m like, ‘This ugly!’ And I spent hella money on that sh*t.”

Treating herself didn’t work out for Sexyy Red, but high school wasn’t all for naught. Her first boyfriend’s unconventional efforts weren’t in vain, as she credited him as responsible for “the most romantic thing somebody did for me”:

“It was Valentine’s Day — I’ll never forget. He robbed somebody and gave me the money and gave me the belt he stole, and it was just so sweet because he was out of breath and stuff. He was like, ‘Here, I just got this for you.’ I was like, ‘Ah! So sweet! Thank you!’ ‘Cause nobody never did nothing like that for me. He stole for me, so I’m like, ‘You did that for me? Really?’

I was 15. It was my first boyfriend, and it was the first time somebody had ever got me a gift or tried to do something for me. And I know he didn’t have it, so the fact that you still made a way and you did what you had to do, that was nice. And it was only $13, but it was nice. And it was a fake Gucci belt!”

Elsewhere in the interview, Red discussed Facebook (surprisingly, her preferred social media), love, “Pound Town,” superpowers, tattoos, toxic traits, and a message to the youth. Watch it above.

Sukihana Blasts Tweet Saying She Makes Black Women Look Bad: ‘Y’all Been Looked Horrible’

Sukihana Blasts Tweet Saying She Makes Black Women Look Bad

Sukihana is tired of y’all comments. After making her butt the center of attention during her time on the VMAs red carpet, Sukihana blasted back at a social media critique.

“Let’s cancel Suki,” the person wrote on X. “She really make black b—-es look horrible.”

Suki retweeted the message and clapped back: Y’all been looked horrible stop blaming me.”

You can see the message from Sukihana and her VMA moments below.

Sexyy Red and Sukihana are turning heads with their latest video single, “Hood Rats,” inviting you to embrace a little ‘hoodrat sh*t’ with your crew.

This audacious and raunchy anthem showcases Sexyy and Suki spitting outrageously quotable lyrics, passionately explaining why the allure of hoodrats is universal. Directed by Des Gray, the video takes an unexpected turn, transporting the duo to a golf course at a posh country club. Amidst the refined atmosphere, they unapologetically twerk, challenging societal norms while sharing tea and crumpets with two bemused club members.

Joining the outrageous fun are friends and collaborators Webbie, Saucy Santana, Summer Walker, and Funny Marco, resulting in an unforgettable twerk fest that takes center stage.

“Hood Rats” stands as Sexyy’s first single since her Hood Hottest Princess mixtape, serving as a bold proclamation of unfiltered self-expression and unapologetic enjoyment.
