Chance The Rapper Reveals His Next Project, “Star Line,” & Hints At Its Possible Guests

Chicago, Illinois rapper and singer Chance the Rapper built himself up to be one of the most beloved faces in hip-hop. His standout projects like Acid Rap and Coloring Book were some of the most expressive and colorful bodies of work of the 2010s. However, in 2019, the multi-hyphenate split many with his album The Big Day. It seems that all of the negative backlash has pushed him to go back to the drawing board and find new inspiration. Well, we might be close to getting a new Chance the Rapper project, as he just revealed the title, which is Star Line.

According to HipHopDX, he made the announcements through two different posts on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). On the former, Chance dropped a two-minute plus behind the scenes-like trailer that showed shots of him and the mixtape’s potential guests. Lil Wayne, DJ Premier, Lil Yachty, Vic Mensa, and more. Then, if you hop on over to IG, the 31-year-old superstar released a snippet of song which he titled “Buried Alive.”

In the caption, Chance asked, “Buried Alive” (2024) should I drop a video?” In the preview, Chance is really rapping and flowing on it, and it seems his making a return to the sound that got him to where he is now. There were some hints that this project was in the works at one point last year. On July 5, he dropped another little taste of a track on Instagram and said that “Star Line Gallery *eventually” would be coming. With Star Line seemingly to be the new title, we are not sure if these are two separate projects, or just an update of the name.

Lil Nas X Thanks Fans For Birthday Wishes, Hypes Up “NASARATI 2” Mixtape

Lil Nas X fans might not have to wait too much longer for a new project. The Georgia rapper and singer has been more active than he has been in the past year and a half to two years. In 2024, he has already dropped two singles, as well as documentary. “J CHRIST” was the more controversial of the two, after Nas X was claiming to be going in a gospel direction. It led to a lot of heated responses from fans and probably did succeed as much as it could have because of that. Still, Lil Nas X has a massive following and they are ready for NASARATI 2.

What is that you ask? Well, it will be the Georgia native’s next full-length release and it will labeled as a mixtape. That sort of makes sense, especially considering the different sounds of “J CHRIST” and “Where Do We Go Now?” Lil Nas X also dropped another single for it just yesterday called “Right There” as a Soundcloud exclusive. It has been gaining some positive feedback from fans due to its earworm of an instrumental and animated performance from Nas X.

Lil Nas X Teases “NASARATI 2” With Infectious Banger “Right There”

Lil Nas X is almost always stirring up controversy online. However, if there is one thing you have to give the guy it is that he knows how write chart-topping songs. We have seen him do it time and time again with tracks like “INDUSTRY BABY,” “MONTERO,” “THAT’S WHAT I WANT,” and so many more. While some hype may have died surrounding the Georgia artist after his 2021 debut LP, he is focused on coming back in full force this year. At some point, Lil Nas X will be dropping a new mixtape, and to promote he has just dropped “Right There.”

However, the single is not available on Spotify and other major platforms, surprisingly. “Right There” is on YouTube and Soundcloud as of now, so it might fly under people’s radars. However, we are here to inform you that it is more than worth finding and listening to. Lil Nas X worked with producer Ojivolta, who helped create the beat for Playboi Carti’s “2024” track not too long ago. He continues to flex his ear for catchy beats as this a special aura about it.

The looping background vocals, rapid fire kick drums and 808s, as well as the horns, allow for Nas X to create a sticky melody and delivery. GloRilla Unveils Artwork & Tracklist For Upcoming Mixtape “Ehhthang Ehhthang”

GloRilla has been killing it lately if you have not been paying attention. She has scored another hit in the catalog with her most recent single “Yeah Glo!” It is a triumphant and hard-hitting banger to give you that self-confidence boost anytime you need one. Fans have been wondering when the gritty Memphis femcee would be returning with a new projec t for quite some time. Now, her supporters finally have that answer. Across her social media platforms, GloRilla has just announced her new mixtape, Ehhthang Ehhthang. The project will hit your favorite streaming service on Friday, April 5.

“Yeah Glo!” is now the official lead single for the project, with the recently teased Megan Thee Stallion collaboration being the second. The two powerhouses shared a snippet of the track on Instagram with them both showing off the rear ends. “Wanna Be,” the now title for the song, pays homage to the Soulja Boy classic “Pretty Boy Swag,” using part of the familiar beat. GloRilla has also given fans a look at the cover art for Ehhthang Ehhthang, as well as the tracklist.

Chief Keef & Mike WiLL Made-It Announce Collaboration Tape “DIRTY NACHOS” & Release Date

Without a doubt, Mike WiLL Made-It and Chief Keef are some of the most respected artists we have in modern hip-hop. Both have contributed immensely to the trap rap/pop rap subgenres for over two decades. Each have worked with the best of the best and have numerous classics under their belts. However, these two do not have the most work experience as a duo. But, that is all changing in a couple of days. From numerous sources, as well as Mike’s Instagram, we have word that he and Chief Keef will be dropping a mixtape called DIRTY NACHOS.

We originally reported that the lead single for this new team effort would actually be previewing Almighty So 2. This has been a project that Keef’s fans have been eager to get their hands on for years. The first Almighty So dropped back in 2013 and there are rumors that its sequel will be out by March 29. Hopefully, that rings true. But for now, we are getting more music from the rapper and producer duo.

Instead of it being for the Almighty So 2 project, “DIRTY NACHOS” will be for the mixtape of the same name. Fans can expect it to be out this Friday, March 15. Even though we only have ever gotten five tracks from Chief Keef and Mike WiLL Made-It, this should still be a fun listen. SpaceGhostPurrp Is Sending The “BLITZ GANG” Your Way On His New Single

SpaceGhostPurrp is someone who has been around the block for over a decade, but we have not updated you on what is cooking with him. So, to make up a little bit for lost time, let us revisit his musical accomplishments as of late. The Carol City, Florida rapper has been semi-active over the past year and a half or so. Since the middle of 2022, SpaceGhost has put out three singles and two albums. Both dropped in 2023.

One contained 22 tracks with one feature from Lil Ugly Mane. That was called BLVCKLVND Rvdix 66.6 (Remastered) and saw a release in July. Then, SpaceGhost followed that up just three months later with Dark Angels. It stood at 14 cuts featuring contributions from Dough2x, Key Nyata, and more. For 2024, the cloud rap specialist could be gearing up for another title.

We say that because a track has surfaced within the YouTube realms from some random users. It is called “BLITZ GANG” and fans are theorizing that this could be the song that kickstarts the rollout of a new mixtape. Mar Dragon 2 is the title that is being thrown around. Soulja Boy Unleashes New Single “Get That Money”

Soulja Boy fans have gotten no shortage of new music from the Chicago-born MC this year. He unleashed three full-length offerings in 2023, starting with Swag 5 back in March. Only a couple of months later, he unveiled Soulja Season. Most recently, he came through with Soulja World 3 in July.

While one might expect the “Crank That” performer to be taking some time off, he’s instead gearing up for yet another drop. Swag 6, a follow-up to his aforementioned Swag 5 mixtape, is slated for release “soon,” according to him. Soulja Boy has yet to confirm an official release date for the project, but it’s safe to say that listeners can’t wait. By the looks of things, 2024 will be yet another prolific year for the 33-year-old rapper.

Soulja Boy Says His New Album Swag 6 Is “Coming Soon”

While fans wait for Swag 6 to finally drop, Soulja Boy has delivered a new song to hold them over. He shared the track, “Get That Money,” yesterday (December 29) alongside an accompanying music video. The video sees the performer posted up outside of a mansion, spitting menacing bars from within a Lambo while wielding a stack of cash. The laid-back visual is fitting, as the lyrics to the song center mostly around Soulja being the self-proclaimed “trapper of the century,” and the luxe lifestyle that comes along with it.

Lil Uzi Vert Teases “Barter 16” Mixtape, Shouts Out Young Thug

After the smash release of the long-awaited Pink Tape, it seems like Lil Uzi Vert is going back to their 2020 days. That year, they released the also highly anticipated album Eternal Atake, plus two other projects: a deluxe edition of that album that was actually a whole other full-length release (LUV vs. The World 2) and the Future collab Pluto x Baby Pluto. Now, the rapper recently teased a new mixtape titled Barter 16 after the No. 1 debut of their latest album. “Sitting here thinking bout how I went #1 on an experimental tape,” Uzi wrote on their Instagram Story. “My apologies, Barter 16 mixtape on the way. Free Slime,” he concluded, shouting out Young Thug.

Moreover, this already has fans theorizing as to what this new mixtape could even be. Furthermore, there are a few different options that this could suggest, and all are exciting for Lil Uzi Vert as fans usually love their work regardless. In addition, the Philly star always does a great job of hyping up their releases to the point of explosion. So let’s name them out: will this be a Young Thug collab tape, maybe just a feature from Thugger, an homage project, some sort of reference to Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter series, or something else entirely?

However, there’s another announcement from the 27-year-old that puts Barter 16‘s future into question. That being said, it’s actually still a dub for Lil Uzi Vert fans since it’s about another album entirely. Recently, they teased Luv Is Rage 3 and even gave a slight hint at the release timeline. “Oh yeah, [Luv Is Rage 3] is coming,” they remarked to a person recording them. “Um, not too long. Probably, like… Honestly, I know I usually be lying, but a couple of months.”

Meanwhile, with the release of the Atlanta trap pioneer’s BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, there’s even more hype around this announcement. Whatever shape it takes, Barter 16 will probably be as good as Luv Is Rage 3, regardless of which comes out first. Conway The Machine Confirms Drumwork Album Release Date

Conway The Machine is one of the most prolific artists in rap music right now. After already being involved in numerous musical projects so far this year he just announced the release date for another. His label, Drumwork, is about to release a new compilation album showcasing their various talents. The album is a similar premise to those from numerous other artist-led labels. Dreamville, YSL, G.O.O.D. Music and many others have made similar compilations in the past. Drumwork’s project is officially scheduled for release on July 7th.

Conway The Machine’s Instagram post served as both an announcement and a preview. The new project includes a documentary series on the label, which fans got a taste of. In the video he posted various artists explain how the label initially came to be and how they all turned hard times into great music. The first single from the forthcoming project dropped earlier this month. “Elephant Man” saw Conway teaming up with Goosebytheway, SK Da King, Heem B$F, and Rome Streetz for a banger posse cut.

Conway The Machine has already release two full albums in just the first half of 2023 alone. Back in March he dropped the album Pain Provided Profit. The project was a short outing that saw Conway teaming up with frequent-collaborator Jae Skeese. He followed it up with a more fleshed out new solo album in May. WON’T HE DO IT featured Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, Juicy J, and many of the Drumwork artists expected to appear on the upcoming album.

Conway The Machine recently amazed both his fans and his fellow rappers. A video posted to Instagram saw the rapper heading to the studio directly after being released from the hospital. Fans couldn’t believe that Conway could have leg surgery and then turn around and get back to work so quickly.
