DJ Khaled Visits Rihanna’s Childhood Neighborhood In Barbados

DJ Khaled is in family vacation mode, and it seems like he thought that Barbados would be a great place to celebrate the holiday season. He seems quite right, as new social media videos he shared show a beautiful day at the Caribbean island nation. Not only that, but the We The Best Music mogul took some time to pass through his frequent collaborator Rihanna’s childhood neighborhood. There, he spoke to locals and remarked how special it was to “breathe the same air” she breathed in her youth and witness where she flies kites. Overall, the New Orleans native seemed appreciative of the opportunity, and their history together indicates how much it means to him.

For example, this is what he had to say to Rihanna before her Super Bowl Halftime Show this year. “RiRi, I love you so much,” DJ Khaled told Page Six. “Congratulations in advance. They changed the name of Super Bowl. It’s called ‘RiRi Super Bowl.’ I’mma have my airhorn ready and I’m going to order me a cheeseburger well done. I’mma sit back, relax, watch the show… come on! It’s Super Bowl! I’m coming as a fan and Rihanna’s my sister. I can’t wait to see it. I’m here to support. We’re all winners.”

Of course, Rihanna may be an international superstar, but she still has very strong ties to her home. Unfortunately, recent news around this is less heartening, as a cousin of hers recently passed away. But for the most part, the superstar singer is more prone to share the beautiful things to find within Barbados and represent it with much pride. She and her boo A$AP Rocky, plus their kids, have really enjoyed their vacations there, and luxuries aside, we wish her family the best amid this difficult time.

Meanwhile, we wonder if Khaled will model for the Bad Gal’s clothing line again, or if they have more songs on the way. Everyone’s begging for new music from her, so we’d happily take any guest verse, chorus, or full song to hold us over for her new album. Hopefully things pan out in 2024. Rihanna’s Aspen Vacation Highlights Include “Real Housewives” Run-In & Gift From Kyle Richards

Rihanna is easily one of the biggest celebrities in the world, but that doesn’t mean she never gets starstruck when crossing paths with others in the limelight. It’s no secret that the mother of two is a fan of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchises, and during her ongoing vacation in Aspen with ASAP Rocky and their sons, she was fortunate enough to cross paths with Kyle Richards. The Halloween actress is a regular on the Beverly Hills edition of the show, and she happened to be shopping at the same private room in Kemo Sabe with Rih and the Mayers boys on Thursday (December 28).

According to TMZ, the reality starlet was with her daughters and estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, during her unexpected run-in with the Bad Gal. When Richards overheard an employee mention that Rihanna was in the building, she took a chance and asked for an introduction, to which the latter reportedly said, “F**k yes!” Their families spent some time mingling together, and after, Kyle came through with a late Christmas gift for her new friends.

The RHOBH cast member was kind enough to spend nearly $900 on a turquoise beaver hat, which is sure to bring a fun pop of colour to some of Rih’s future fits. According to an insider, the “Umbrella” singer only made a visit to the store because she previously saw Richards shop there on TV. Besides her gift, the Barbadian beauty also left with new boots, belts, and hats to spice up her wardrobe.

Rihanna’s been continuing on her trend of being a worldwide “Fashion Killa” in Aspen, but we would expect nothing less of her. When cameras first caught her and ASAP Rocky on their holiday trip, we were pleased to see the happy couple rocking matching shoes to coordinate ther outfits. ASAP Rocky & Rihanna’s Matching Shoes On Aspen Trip With Sons Show How In Sync They Are

A lot has changed for Rihanna and ASAP Rocky this year, but at the end of it all, they remain among our favourite style icons. For the Bad Gal, 2023 began with a bang as she prepared for (and bodied) her Super Bowl Halftime performance. During that, she confirmed that baby number two was on the way before spending the spring and summer serving up more maternity inspiration for fans.

Now, Rih and Rocky continue to settle into parenthood, though they’ve admitted they’re still hoping to add a little girl into the mix in the future. It’s unclear if the fashionista hopes to get pregnant again so soon after having Riot, like she did with RZA, or if she’ll be taking time to focus on releasing the music she’s been promising fans for some time now, and heading out on a subsequent tour.

While we wait to find out what her 2024 plans are, paparazzi have spotted the Fenty Beauty founder out in Aspen with her family. Earlier this week, cameras caught all three Mayers boys and their matriarch, with Rocky stealing the show in his disco ball-inspired pants. The Testing rapper paired the bold piece with a brown and white fur coat over a grey hoodie, notably carrying both of their little boys, who were also dapperly dressed. Rih looked far more casual than ASAP in her mom jeans and shacket. Still, she and the New Yorker did cutely coordinate by rocking the same shoes.

In terms of their aesthetics, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky are always on point. However, the Barbadian is reportedly dealing with her share of anxiety over the possibility of her man serving time in prison over his gun trial with ASAP Relli. She’s been connecting with fans up close and personally since recovering from giving birth to Riot in the summer, and was even recently pleasantly surprised by one member of the Navy who’s been supporting Rih for over a decade now.

While chatting with patrons at a recent Fenty event, one camera caught the “Umbrella” hitmaker’s jaw falling to the floor while staring at a small screen in her hand. “When I showed RiRi a pic we took 11 [years] ago! ,” TikTok user @itsmebabykaely0 wrote over the clip. “That’s you?!” the fashionista asks her fan, clearly in shock before posing for a new snap together.

The Barbz and the Navy fans are buzzing with excitement over the possibility of a long-awaited collaboration between the two megastars, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. This follows after the Queen of Rap dropped subtle hints suggesting that Bad Gal Riri might be featured on the Pink Friday 2 Deluxe.

‘Gag City Deluxe’

Nicki Minaj caused quite a stir on social media on Wednesday, Dec. 20, when she hinted at a collaboration with Rihanna.

Taking to her Instagram, Nicki shared a video of the Bajan songstress dancing to the track “FTCU” from her album Pink Friday 2, which ultimately debuted at No.1 on the Billboard charts. Alongside the clip, she wrote:

“The full gag city deluxe album coming out until Queen Rih send her vocals. POW @badgalriri.”

‘It’s Giving Crystal Ball’

Fans of both artists flooded social media with excitement and anticipation. One fan on Instagram with the username @samimdrunk exclaimed, “Idk a rihnika collab is kinda what the world needs right now.” Another user, @KingDeCarlos, chimed in, saying, “I think she’s just being funny.. But I would love to see the island gals cut up.”

Interestingly, the “Lift Me Up” singer’s return to music has been highly anticipated by her fans, who have been eagerly awaiting new music and possibly a tour. It has been over seven years since Rihanna released her last full body of work, ANTI.

During an event for the PUMA X FENTY launch in L.A., Rihanna coyly hinted at upcoming music, saying:

“I can’t tell you everything. It’s giving crystal ball.” When asked about touring, she expressed, “I wanna do a tour when there’s new music.”

Nicki Minaj Confirms Forthcoming Rihanna Collab, Talks Potentially Working With Taylor Swift

Nicki Minaj has always been a major collaborator. Throughout her career, she’s crossed paths with almost all of the biggest stars in rap music. That was once again the case on her new album Pink Friday 2 which dropped earlier this month. Drake, J. Cole, Future, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, and more appear throughout the project. Many pointed out that Nicki didn’t work with any of her major female rap contemporaries, instead choosing to diss fellow rappers like Latto and Megan Thee Stallion in lyrics on the album.

But she may have some new collaborations with big female stars outside of rap music coming soon. The first was an official tease coming from Nicki herself. Earlier this week video began making the rounds online of Rihanna dancing to Nicki’s new song “FTCU” at her Fenty event. Nicki must have seen the video spreading around and posted a response to it that has fans extremely enticed. “The full gag city deluxe ain’t coming out until Queen Rih send her vocals. POW,” she teased. Pink Friday 2 already got a deluxe version which added two new tracks a week after the album dropped. Nicki also revealed in an interview that she would love to collaborate with Taylor Swift one day. When asked if she would make a song with the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker she responded “in a heart beat.” Pink Friday 2 has also been a smash hit on the charts. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with more than 200k sales in its first week. It also placed 14 songs in the Hot 100 this week. That second achievement is particularly impressive given a majority of the chart’s Top 50 songs are taken up by Christmas music this time of year.

Nicki Minaj also achieved a new high on the Hot Gospel Songs chart. Her new track “Blessings” immediately soared to the top of the chart marking her first ever number one. Nicki Minaj’s album Pink Friday 2 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated December 23, and as per Billboard, Minaj has 14 songs currently charting on the Hot 100. One of them is “FTCU” at No. 42. But the more significant achievement is arguably that Rihanna liked the song enough to dance to it at her latest Fenty X Puma launch event on Monday, December 18.

Lil Nas X already shared his unofficial remix of “FTCU.” While there has not been any confirmation that Minaj plans to drop an “FTCU” remix featuring Lil Nas X, what about Rihanna?

Is Rihanna On Nicki Minaj’s Album ‘Pink Friday 2 (Gag City Deluxe)’?

On Wednesday evening, December 20, Minaj re-posted the above clip of Rihanna dancing to “FTCU.” She wrote atop the video on her Instagram Story, “The full gag city deluxe ain’t coming out until Queen Rih send her vocals. POW @badgirlriri [three heart hands emojis].”

Make of that what you will. Minaj’s 24-track Pink Friday 2 (Gag City Deluxe) is already available for download via her official website, but a Rihanna verse? In this economy? If Rihanna, who famously hasn’t released an album since 2016’s Anti, sees Minaj’s post and takes it seriously, Minaj would have no other choice but to retroactively add to Pink Friday 2 (Gag City Deluxe). Gag City would implode.

When Will Rihanna Go On Tour Again?

Rihanna fans have been waiting a few years to hear some new music from the pop star, but she has taken her time, running a beauty line and starting a family. However, in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, it seems there is a glimmer of hope, as she discussed her thoughts on touring again too.

When Will Rihanna Go On Tour Again?

Although Rihanna played the Super Bowl Halftime Show this year, she hasn’t actually toured since finishing her Anti World Tour in 2016. Next year would mark eight years, but it seems like she is still planning on coming back — it just depends on when.

“Well we’re always gonna go back on tour,” Rihanna told the outlet. “[But] I feel I want to do a tour when there’s new music. We already know what that’s gonna be, with the songs that I’ve performed on my last tour. That was a long time ago.”

“I feel like it’s only fair that my fans get what they’ve been waiting on, which is new music,” she added. “After that, lets just like, blow everything up.”

During the interview, she also mentioned that she felt like Anti was her “most brilliant album,” which has caused a struggle creatively to follow it with something new.

Rihanna’s Iconic Super Bowl Halftime Show Pregnancy Reveal Was Actually Unintentional, She Explained

Rihanna had one of the year’s most iconic pop culture moments with her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance in February. That was both because of the performance itself, and because Rihanna took the stage and revealed she was pregnant. It turns out that wasn’t initially part of the plan, though: Her baby bump just got too big and she couldn’t hide it anymore.

On the red carpet of her new Puma launch on Monday (December 18), Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans asked Rihanna about her halftime look and she explained, “Here’s the thing: I did what I had to do, right? My jumper couldn’t zip up [laughs]. No one knew I was pregnant, I just told my stylist, ‘Make sure it’s stretchy.’ So the under-arm was stretchy and this was baggy, but you know, the zip, it just stopped right there, so it had to be what it had to be!”

Rihanna gave birth to the baby, her and ASAP Rocky’s second, a few months later, in August. The birth certificate surfaced in September, and the document revealed that Rihanna and Rocky named the baby Riot Rose Mayers, and that Riot was born on August 1 at 7:41 a.m. in Los Angeles’ Cedar Sinai Hospital.
