Fat Joe, French Montana, Rick Ross, and Busta Rhymes Perform and Advocate for Healthcare Transparency

French Montana Performs at Power to the Patients Event

Insane concert ticket prices have been the talk of the entertainment industry in recent months, but many Americans are more concerned with healthcare prices. Last week, hip-hop artists Fat Joe, French Montana, Rick Ross, and Busta Rhymes teamed up to perform at a “Power to the Patients” advocacy event in Washington DC, bringing awareness to significant issues in the American healthcare system.

The event was sponsored by “Power to the Patients,” a non-profit organization fighting for a more affordable and equitable healthcare system price transparency.

At the event, which was attended by cele French Montana stated that he was involved in the event because he didn’t think that people should be “blindsided” anymore by astronomical healthcare bills, saying that patients “needed prices up front” and that he hoped the event could help the American healthcare system “move forward.”

Rick Ross got on stage and said that people should know if they “gotta sell your house to save your parents” with regard to inconsistent hospital bills.

On the organization’s website, alongside a YouTube video about the subject, Fat Joe explained why he was passionate about the cause, writing:

“We have to change the healthcare system and hold hospitals and insurers accountable to provide more transparency on the price of care. They are charging way too much money and the bills are not even consistent. Somebody could get an MRI for $300 and someone right behind them could be paying thousands for the same MRI. Right now, millions across the country are being dragged into debt because they’re blindsided by the cost of these medical bills. Families are falling apart. People are losing their homes. People are getting bankrupted because of hospital bills and healthcare. Knowing prices is the only way we will be able to lower our costs in healthcare. So, we have to fight for the people. We all have to talk to our politicians and talk to everybody. It’s in the law that hospitals and insurers need to post prices and we all need to know this. I teamed up with Power to the Patients to educate our communities on their rights and help put an end to this injustice.”

Rick Ross’ Neighbors Sign Petitions To Shut Down His Upcoming Land, Car & Bike Show

Rick Ross

Rick Ross is facing opposition from his neighbors who’ve signed petitions to stop his upcoming car show. The Rick Ross Promise Land Car & Bike Show is expected to draw over 6,500 people. Rick Ross’ Neighbors Are Trying To Kill His Car Show

Rick Ross loves cars. Last year, he started a car show on the grounds of his mansion in Georgia. Winners of the show walked away with a diamond-encrusted key. General reports suggested it was attended by at least 6000 people. However, some estimates place it at closer to 6500. Many famous faces and car enthusiasts were in attendance at the event last May.

This year, Ross wanted the event to be even bigger. The prize keys were bigger. Lil Wayne was scheduled to perform. He was hoping to top the 6500+ attendees from last year. However, it appears that not everyone in the Fayetteville area is a fan. It appears that some of his neighbors are trying to get the festival shut down ahead of its June 3 hosting.

Rick Ross’ Neighbors File A Petition Against Car Show

“I have the petitions here that we signed,” one neighbor said at an April 25 Fayette County Board of Commissioners meeting. Another neighbor testified that “Our quality of life was unnecessarily compromised.” Their claims stem from accounts that last year’s event brought traffic in the area to a stop, and caused major delays for residences. June 3 is a Saturday, meaning that if were to go ahead, the event could cause delays to people’s weekend plans. However, it is also something of a buzzkill move to go after what Ross is allowed to do on his property. Fayetteville is home to around 19,000 people. A southern migration has benefitted the town greatly, almost doubling the population from where it was in 2000.

“We feel locked out. It took me 40 minutes to get out of my subdivision,” testified a third individual. The opponents of Ross’ show also argue that Ross’ mansion and estate are not appropriately zoned to host a large-scale commercial event such as a car show. It is unknown if Ross, or a representative on his behalf, attended and testified at the meeting. The Board of Commissioners has not yet announced a ruling on whether Ross will be barred from hosting his show. Do you think Ross’ neighbors are out of line? Are you excited for his show? MGK And Rick Ross Star At Travis Kelce Music Festival

The NFL Draft wasn’t the only thing going down in Kansas City on Friday night. The city also played host to the first-ever Kelce Jam, a music and food festival hosted by Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. The festival featured food trucks, events, and live music. Kelce is a two-time NFL champion, coming off his second earlier this year. He was drafted in the third round of the 2013 Draft and has spent his whole career with Kansas City. He is currently considering the best tight end in the NFL and one of the greatest to ever play the position.

It had been a pretty wild couple of days for the Kelce Brothers. While Travis was drinking beers off the Super Bowl trophy, his brother Jason was chugging Buds with Eagles fans at the draft. It’s great to see the two brothers, who faced off in the Super Bowl this year, blowing off steam in the offseason. However, Travis had managed to secure some big-name talent for his festival. And arguably, they were bigger names than the NFL was able to get.

Kelce Lands MGK and Rick Ross

First up was Machine Gun Kelly. It’s been a rough couple of days for MGK, as fans speculate on another split from Megan Fox. This comes after Fox reportedly no-showed MGK’s birthday. However, MGK showed up and put out as he and Kelce belted out a rendition of The Beastie Boys’ “Fight For Your Right”. After Kelce lifted MGK off the ground in a bear hug, the two performed an encore of “Fight For Your Right”.

Then came Rick Ross. You might be thinking that Rick Ross also performed music but you be wrong. Instead, Rick Ross was there to adjudicate a wing-eating challenge. This relates to Ross owning a Wingstop franchise location. The contest pitted two Chiefs fans against each other. A man named Hayden Gillum was victorious after eating 19 wings in the 90-second time limit. Overall, Kelce’s festival provided a truly wild night for all in attendance. One could even make the argument that it successfully overshadowed the second and third rounds of the NFL Draft.

Rick Ross’ Cannabis Partner Gifted Him $130k Worth Of Jewelry

It doesn’t matter how good your 4/20 was because Rick Ross had a better one. In celebration of the day, the rapper received a pretty insane amount of jewelry from his cannabis partner, High Tolerance. They apparently have him $130,000 worth of jewelry as a gift. In a video shared by TMZ on April 25th, Manny, the CEO of High Tolerance, presented Ross with a ring, chain, and pendant. They acted as a costly token of appreciation. The chain boasts more than 19 carats of diamonds and is worth $40,000. The pendant is made of 14k rose gold and has a value of over $30,000. The ring, worth $60,000, contains over 22 carats of VS1 and f-colored diamonds, as well as 14k gold.

In March, Rick Ross formed a partnership with High Tolerance to create a cannabis strain called “Collins Ave.” The new strain is expected to be released on June 1. Ross expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that High Tolerance has the finest flower on the market. He also credited Manny, the CEO of High Tolerance, for his exceptional products. Manny, for his part, praised Rick Ross as a genuine cannabis expert. The company has partnered with many other celebrities in the past, including Jadakiss, Jim Jones, Ghostface Killah, Juelz Santana, and more. This is not the first foray into cannabis businesses for Ross, however.

Rick Ross’ Various Weed Ventures

Rick Ross has a history of using the name of his old Miami neighborhood for his weed business. In 2020, he collaborated with Berner’s Cookies cannabis brand to create “Collins Ave,” a line that included three carefully chosen strains: Collins Ave, Pink Rozay, and Lemon Pepper. At the time, he expressed his desire to establish himself as a leader in the cannabis industry and provide a high-quality product to consumers, particularly in the southern United States. Ross commended Berner and Cookies as the best in the business and voiced his admiration for their product.

Additionally, Rick Ross established his own cannabis-themed company in 2021. The rapper started the hemp company to focus on the promotion of the health benefits of the plant to smokers. “I truly believe in the health benefits of Hemp derived products,” said Ross. “Having had my own health scares, and through my healing process, I decided I would develop a line of smokables to help others with the benefits of Hemp cannabinoids.” What do you think of Rick Ross new partnership with High Tolerance? Rick Ross To Don Lemon: “We Hiring At Wingstop”

Some of the biggest news to hit the media cycle on Monday (April 24) was obviously Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon’s unexpected firings. While the former is now out at FOX News, it was CNN who let go of the latter. The former anchor released a statement via Twitter yesterday. Afterwards, the network shut down his claims that he wasn’t directly informed of the decision by management. “At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network,” Lemon tweeted after hearing the news from his agent.

“Don Lemon’s statement about this morning’s events is inaccurate,” the official CNN PR Twitter account wrote shortly after. “He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on [social media],” they further explained. Reactions to the surprising news continue to pour in from all across the nation, and one of the funniest we’ve seen so far comes from Rick Ross. The Biggest Boss addressed the situation via his Instagram Story earlier this week, revealing that he’s got the perfect employment opportunity for the media personality.

Rick Ross Reacts to Don Lemon’s CNN Firing

“Just found out Don Lemon was terminated from ‘CNN.’ Damn, dawg,” the author said to his followers. “But guess what? The brothers got your back,” Ross happily added. “We hiring at Wingstop. And for some reason, I believe you know what you doing with the lemon pepper wings, so man, just send over your résumé… I’ma make sure I get you in front of the right grill, brother. Stay solid, brother,” the “Purple Lamborghini” hitmaker quipped.

As HipHopDX notes, that’s not the only proposition Rick Ross had for the 57-year-old. “Just came up with a wonderful idea — well, really, Don, you helped me come up with this,” he credited Lemon. “I need to hit the team over at Rapstar Energy Drink and let ’em know we should introduce the Don Lemon flavour. What y’all think? Aye, Don, we got you brother!” the business mogul laughed. Do you think RR’s comments are out of pocket? With news anchor Don Lemon’s abrupt firing from CNN, rapper Rick Ross made light of the situation by offering the prime time television host a job at his popular chicken wing establishment.

After it was announced yesterday that Lemon was fired from CNN after 17 years, the Bawse offered Lemon a job as a fry cook at one of his Wing Stop restaurants.

“Just found out Don Lemon was terminated from CNN. Damn, dawg,” the MMG capo said in a video on his IG story. “But guess what? The brothers got your back We hiring at Wingstop. And for some reason I believe you know what you doing with the lemon pepper wings, so man, just send over your résumé … I’ma make sure I get you in front of the right grill, brother. Stay solid, brother.”

Ross then came up with an alternative for Lemon, which was a pitch to his Rapstar Energy Drink partner. “Just came up with a wonderful idea — well, really, Don, you helped me come up with this,” he said. “I need to hit the team over at Rapstar Energy Drink and let ’em know we should introduce the Don Lemon flavor. What y’all think? Aye, Don, we got you brother!”

Lemon announced his sudden departure from CNN in a tweet, saying theire were “larger issues” behind his firing.

“I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN,” he wrote. “I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN, I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly.”

Rick Ross Offered Don Lemon, Former CNN Anchor, Some Career Advice Following His Recent Termination

Rick Ross is the self-proclaimed biggest boss the music industry has ever seen. Stepping into his head honcho persona, the rapper is offering former CNN anchor Don Lemon some career advice following his recent termination from the network.

In a video uploaded to his Instagram Stories, the musician took a moment away from promoting his upcoming car show to share a message with Lemon.

“Just found out Don Lemon was terminated from CNN. Damn, Don. But guess what, the brothers got your back,” Ross declared. However, you’d be wrong if you thought his follow-up would be a call to action or action to help the former television pundit regain his on-air slot.

Ross added, “We’re hiring at Wingstop,” referring to the chicken chain, which Ross owns over two dozen locations of across the country. “And for some reason, I feel like you know what you’re doing with them lemon pepper wings,” he said, throwing in a pun on Lemon’s last name.

Ross closed the video by saying, “So, man, just send over your resume — I’m going to ensure I get you in front of the right grill. Stay solid, brother.”

If Lemon doesn’t accept the offer, maybe Ross could offer him something on his home ranch to help manage his unruly buffalo.
